Peter Kay and Sian Gibson to team up again

Peter Kay and Sian Gibson will "definitely" work together again.
The 44-year-old comedian has hinted he is already working on his "next project", and his ‘Car Share’ co-star insists the pair – who play supermarket employees John Redmond and Kayleigh Kitson in the show – will team up on something else following the finale of the BBC One sitcom.
Speaking about making the programme, Peter said: "I love the whole process, from start to finish, but editing is my favourite.
"One person who shouldn’t be overlooked is Matt Brown, he edited the whole series and creatively he added a lot of detail.
"I’ll miss working with him until the next project."
When asked what that could be, Peter said "er" and Sian said: "That’d be telling?"
But she admitted they will "definitely" join forces on another project, and hinted the forthcoming ‘Car Share’ finale – which airs on Monday (28.05.18) – may not be the last of the show.
She said: "Never say never."
Peter joked: "Well, unless you’re waiting on an invite to Sian’s house."
The ‘Phoenix Nights’ star was shocked to see a petition had been created to try to encourage the pair to pen more episodes following the end of the second series, admitting it was "incredibly flattering" to see such support for the show.
He said: "You’d never believe that it’d ever have that kind of effect. A petition."
Sian added: "Yes, that was crazy. I signed it … twice."
Peter said: "That is incredibly flattering. We always knew the second series would end that way and we thought people might be a bit miffed but never thought they would be so devastated.
"We decided to write another episode that hopefully gave the characters a resolve and I thought lets hold this back until the repeat of the second series.
"It was hard to keep it a secret after the reaction we got, but we never said that there wouldn’t be any more ‘Car Share’ … we just said there wouldn’t be a third series."
‘Peter Kay’s Car Share: The Finale’ airs on Monday at 10pm on BBC One.
