Peter Andre: We’ll both be working parents

Peter Andre and his fiancée are going to be full-time working parents.

The 41-year-old singer-and-TV star says neither he nor Emily MacDonagh have plans to slow down their careers after welcoming baby Amelia in January, and want to work hard to provide for their family.

While Peter will begin touring to promote his new music in September, medical student Emily, 24, will soon be a fully qualified doctor.

He said: "She’s got three months left until she’s a doctor. She starts in September, then she’ll have a period of time to register and she’ll really be a doc by January.

"Me and Ems are going to be workers all our lives. I’ve been touring since forever. It’s part of what I do. Everything I do now is to support the family.

"If you’re lucky enough to work and lucky enough to have a bit of a home life, then you’ve got to do it."

The ‘Behind Closed Doors’ hitmaker – who also has son Junior, eight, and six-year-old daughter Princess Tiaamii with ex-wife Katie Price – admits it’s hard to balance his family life with looking after himself.

Quizzed how having children has changed him, he told Britain’s Star magazine: "It’s made me more lazy! I used to do more for myself, but now I’m more energetic doing stuff for them."
