Peter Andre wants his kids to talk to him about "anything".
The ‘Mysterious Girl’ hitmaker admits he is a "strict" dad to Junior, 10, Princess, eight, and Amelia, two, but also knows they can confide in him with any of their problems.
And Peter is currently dealing with a lot of "attitude" from his son – who, like Princess, he had with ex-wife Katie Price – but finds it hard to get mad at the youngster because he knows he was very similar at that age.
He said: "It’s like Junior’s got this little attitude now but he’s still a gent…
"He actually reminds me a lot of myself at his age, which is why I find it hard to be mad at him when he does silly things. He’s a really cool dude and we’re actually really good friends.
"Of course I’m a strict parent, but I’m also someone my kids can talk to about anything."
Despite Junior’s attitude, the 43-year-old star – who has Amelia with wife Emily – is hoping all his kids grow up with a good sense of right and wrong.
He added in his column for new! magazine: "It’s scary to think he’ll soon be a teenager, but if you instill the right morals in your children, they’ll have a much better chance of doing the right thing in the end."
Peter and Emily will celebrate their first wedding anniversary in July and the ‘Behind Closed Doors’ singer is thinking of doing something special for his fans in order to mark the occasion.
He said: "Our one-year anniversary is coming up. I haven’t discussed it with anyone but I’m thinking of releasing a 10-minute video of our wedding highlights.
"I think it would be a great way to mark the day for our family, friends and all the lovely people who support us."
