Peter Andre: My wife and I are like ships in the night

Peter Andre and Emily McDonagh have been like "ships in the night" since the birth of their son Theo.
The 44-year-old pop star’s wife gave birth to their second child in November 2016 and Peter has admitted that Theo’s erratic sleeping pattern has meant that he and Emily have barely spent any quality time together over the last few months.
He shared: "It doesn’t cause bickering, what it does is it causes us to be like ships in the night.
"We just walk past each other like zombies sometimes."
But the ‘Mysterious Girl’ hitmaker is hopeful that Theo’s sleeping pattern will improve once Emily stops breastfeeding.
Peter – who also has a three-year-old daughter called Amelia with Emily – told new! magazine: "I think it was going to be a game changer. I think that’s when he’ll start sleeping through."
Meanwhile, Peter previously admitted that Theo’s sleep troubles had come as a shock to his system, as Amelia was always such a good sleeper.
He explained: "Little Theo has had me up early every morning.
"I know he’s only 10 weeks old and a lot of people will probably say it’s not unusual, but because Mills was sleeping through the night from six weeks I’m finding it particularly hard."
Peter – who also has kids Junior, 11, and Princess, nine, with ex-wife Katie Price – revealed the couple are doing everything they can to make the best of the situation.
He said: "As Emily is still breast feeding, I can’t take over during the night so we do a deal where she goes to bed at 9pm and I have him until midnight, and then at midnight she’ll do a feed.
"Then I’ll try and sleep between 12 and 6am and take him from 6am or whenever so Ems can catch up on her sleep. It’s a bit mad at the moment but it’s all done with love."
