Peter Andre has admitted it can be "hard" to spend time with all of his kids "equally".
The ‘Mysterious Girl’ hitmaker – who has Junior, 13, and Princess, 11, with ex-wife Katie Price, and Amelia, four, and Theo, 21 months, with his spouse Emily – says it can be a struggle to make himself available to all of his brood constantly due to his hectic work schedule.
Peter – who recently enjoyed a holiday to the US with his older children – wrote in his column for new! magazine: "I think Ems really enjoyed spending quality time with Amelia and Theo [while we were away], as with four kids it can sometimes be hard to divide our attention equally. It’s also been nice for Emily and I to split our time, especially because Junior and Bista go back to school this week."
Peter, 45, took Princess and Junior on holiday to Orlando, Florida, last week, and Katie took to Twitter to check in on them after alleging she had not been able to make contact with them.
The 40-year-old TV star was believed to have been worried after news broke about a shooting at a gaming tournament in Jacksonville, Florida – which is 140 miles from Orlando – on Sunday August 26, and took to Twitter to beg Peter to get in touch.
She tweeted: "Still up at this hour, trying to contact my kids in America. Been trying Morning, Afternoon and Night. Please @MrPeterAndre let me know they are ok? (sic)."
In June, it was revealed that Princess and Junior were living with Peter, as Katie dealt with her split from Kieran Hayler.
The former ‘Celebrity Big Brother’ star split with her estranged spouse – with whom she has five-year-old son Jett and four-year-old daughter Bunny – in August 2017, and in order to ease the stress put on her brood by the split, Princess and Junior moved in with their dad.
A spokesperson confirmed that Katie – who is also mother to 16-year-old son Harvey – and Peter "agreed it best" for their children.
They added: "What is important [is] that the focus is on what is best for the children during tough times as Peter has acknowledged. Katie is a remarkable mother, Peter is a wonderful father, together they are doing what is best for their children."
