A legend is born. Pete Burns was born on August 5, 1959 and in 1980 he founded the band Dead or Alive, in which he was vocalist and songwriter. In 1985 the group released the single ‘You Spin Me Round (Like a Record)’, which took 17 weeks to reach number one in the UK and went on to achieve global success.
