Perrie Edwards writes songs on toilet

Perrie Edwards thinks up song ideas on the toilet.

The 22-year-old singer has revealed she’s always trying to think up a new Little Mix tune and even records song ideas on her phone while going to the loo.

She said: "I have an idea on my phone from when I was on the toilet the other day."

However, the star – who is engaged to former One Direction member Zayn Malik – admitted coming up with tracks is not always so easy, even though she claims they wrote over a thousand songs for their upcoming third album.

Speaking about life in the studio, she explained: "You can be there all day and have nothing and go in the next day and write something in 15 minutes before your car arrives.

"So this album, I think we’ve written a good 1,000 songs. You can write a little section of a song. A full song or it could be s***e."

The ‘Black Magic’ hitmakers went on to say they find their chart success "really weird" as it all feels like an illegal substance-driven dream.

Describing their success, she said: "It’s really weird. It’s like being on drugs."

Meanwhile, her bandmate Jesy Nelson revealed while the girl group – also featuring Leigh-Anne Pinnock and Jade Thirlwall – want to be "together forever", they dreams of their kids getting together as "Mini Mix" in years to come.

She told the Metro newspaper: "I want us to be together forever. Hopefully, we will have achieved everything we want to achieve because we have big plans."

Perrie added: "We’ll have a Mini Mix. Imagine if we all had a little girl and they all sang in Mini Mix!"
