Perrie Edwards to address Zayn split in new album

Perrie Edwards is to sing about her split from Zayn Malik on Little Mix’s new album.
The 23-year-old singer was dumped by the One Direction star last summer and the blonde beauty and her bandmates, Jesy Nelson, Leigh-Anne Pinnock and Jade Thirlwall, have recorded songs about their individual heartbreak for their forthcoming LP.
Jesy said: "I think it’s always easier to write about your experiences through music because more people can relate to them anyway.
"It is a lot more mature, this album. There’s a lot of things that have been said that perhaps nobody has heard yet, if you know what I mean."
As well as Perrie’s break up, Leigh-Anne recently split from her boyfriend Jordan Kiffin, while Jesy is engaged to Rixton star Jake Roche and Jade is dating The Struts’ Jed Elliott.
Quizzed on whether Little Mix fans – who are known as Mixers – will know who is being sung about on each song, Jesy replied: "I think it’s pretty obvious. I think all the songs are very relatable to girls, and our fan base in general."
But it won’t be an album of doom and gloom, as they group insisted their upcoming fourth studio record is "very positive".
Jesy added to The Sun newspaper: "I love what the first song is about. I love that the first song is like a happy heartbreak song.
"It’s not about being down, it’s all about being like, ‘Yeah!’"
Jade said: "We’re going through different things. Some of us have gone through heartbreak while others of us have found love. I think it’s a very positive album."
Perrie recently went on a date with actor Luke Pasqualino but admitted she is still single and is keen to go speed dating.
She said: "[I’d look for] someone honest, fit, a hunky man. I said in the group chat I’d love to do speed-dating, it’d be so much fun! Total jokes."
