Perrie Edwards stays silent of why she split from Zayn Malik

Perrie Edwards will "never get into the detail" about her split from Zayn Malik.
The 23-year-old Little Mix singer split from her ex-fiancée, also 23, in August last year, and neither of them have explained in great detail what caused the break-up.
Now, the ‘Shout Out to My Ex’ hitmaker says she will never divulge all the information to the public because it’s "personal".
Speaking on UK TV series ‘The Jonathan Ross Show’ – which airs on Saturday night (12.11.16) – the blonde beauty said: "For a normal girl to go through something like that it’s hard. I think when the whole world is looking at it and talking about it, you feel a bit [affected by it].
"Obviously I didn’t say too much about it, I briefly mentioned it. I wasn’t going to not mention it … You’re in control at the end of the day and I briefly mentioned it, kind of said what happened but I would never get into detail because it is personal."
Despite not sharing every detail with the public, the ‘Black Magic’ singer – who is joined in her band by Jesy Nelson, Jade Thirlwall, and Leigh-Anne Pinnock – confirmed in the band’s upcoming book ‘Our World’ that the former One Direction singer dumped her via text.
She wrote: "It was horrible, the worst time in my life. A four-year relationship, two-year engagement ended by a simple text message. Just like that. Even though things in my career were going really well, it was incredibly difficult for me."
Meanwhile, the ‘Pillowtalk’ hitmaker – who has since moved on with model Gigi Hadid – wrote in his own memoir ‘Zayn’ that his relationship with Perrie was beginning to break down months before he called time on it.
He wrote: "It was March 2015. I had been in a bad place for a while and I didn’t see myself getting out of it unless I made a change.
"My relationship with my fiancée, Perrie, was breaking down. To make matters worse, there were so many crazy stories flying around in the newspapers about us, and it felt like such an invasion of privacy, it made me just want to disappear for a while."
