Paul McCartney keen for electronic music collaboration

Sir Paul McCartney would love to experiment with electronic music.
The Beatles legend – who released his new album ‘Egypt Station’ last week – says he hasn’t ruled out the possibility of collaborating with an EDM artist in the future as he’s already had a go at making digitally-led music himself in the past.
During a Twitter Q&A with fans, he replied when asked if it’s on the cards: "Yeah I would. When I do electronic music it tends to be me as ‘The Nutty Professor’ in his lab! But, I wouldn’t rule out the idea. (sic)"
The ‘Let it Be’ hitmaker also revealed that Prince inspired his song ‘Hunting You Down’ on his new record and ‘If You Wanna’ from his 1997 solo LP ‘Flaming Pie’.
Replying to a fan who asked if any other songs of his were influenced by the late ‘Purple Rain’ hitmaker – who died last April at the age of 57 from a fentanyl overdose – the 76-year-old star replied: "I can’t think of other songs he has inspired, but those two definitely. I was always a big fan. I went to see him in concert a few times and wrote to him saying how much I enjoyed his guitar playing particularly. I met him a few times. The last time was a couple … of New Year’s ago, when he played a New Year’s gig. I’ve always been a big fan."
Meanwhile, McCartney – who performed a surprise gig at New York’s Grand Central Station over the weekend with a star-studded crowd including Meryl Streep, Jon Bon Jovi, Kendall Jenner and Kate Moss – recently revealed he taught grime star Stormzy how to play the piano.
The ‘Come On To Me’ singer was asked for advice by the grime star on how to improve his musicianship, so he gave him a "basic" lesson in tinkling the ivories.
He said: "Stormzy asked for advice. He’s looking to advance his music.
"As a rapper, I thought he’d have words down, but there was a piano, so I showed him basic stuff — how you get middle C, make a chord, a triad and, just by moving that, get D minor, E minor, F, G, A minor, and how that’s enough for anyone."
