Paul Hollywood lands new baking show on Channel 4

Paul Hollywood has landed a new baking show on Channel 4 with the former producers of ‘The Great British Bake Off’.
The 51-year-old baker – who was the only judge to move over to the channel from the BBC for the new series of ‘GBBO’ – has teamed up with Love Productions for a brand new programme, which will show the loveable Liverpudlian’s personal journey to becoming a TV sensation.
Richard McKerrow, the executive producer at Love Productions – who sold the rights to ‘GBBO’ to Channel 4 – said: "Paul’s credentials as one of Britain’s most knowledgeable bakers are beyond doubt.
"How he came to become such a great baker with a passion for everything to do with baking is a fascinating story that hasn’t been told."
Paul will reportedly take a trip down memory lane as he meets with the chefs that taught him all he knows and inspired his career back in Liverpool to arriving at the ‘GBBO’ tent in 2010.
According to the Mirror Online, the episodes of the forthcoming series are five hours apiece.
Meanwhile, Paul recently said he thinks ‘GBBO’ will "take time" to become a success on Channel 4.
He hasn’t been optimistic about how well it will do in ratings when it moves over from the BBC later this year.
He spilled: "It will take time to build. ‘Bake Off’ from the offset didn’t instantly go ‘click’ on the BBC and it will be the same this time."
And the silver fox, who is reportedly set to rake in £400,000 a series, has admitted the show’s success is extremely important to him as despite being worth millions he still worries about having no money because there was a time when he was scraping the barrel to get by.
He said previously: "I can remember nine years ago hunting down the side of a sofa for money to go to a meeting in London.
"I know what it’s like to have little money. That’s not going to change."
The new series will see Mary Berry replaced by Prue Leith and comic Noel Fielding and presenter Sandi Toksvig co-host the show instead of Mel Giedroyc and Sue Perkins.
