Paul Daniels is laid to rest

Paul Daniels has been laid to rest.
The legendary television magician – who sadly passed away last month after losing his battle with an incurable brain tumour at the age of 77 – was given a traditional send off today (01.04.16) in Buckinghamshire as his friends and family gathered around to pay their respects.
The funnyman’s wife Debbie McGee was joined by her spouse’s celebrity pals and entertainers as they watched his ivory coffin pull up to Milton Chapel at Chilterns Crematorium.
The beautiful casket was adorned with a big bouquet of red roses, a silver wand resting on a black velvet cushion, two joker playing cards and a heartfelt handwritten note, which simply read, "Love you always", from his widow.
Paul sadly slipped away on March 17, 2016, just four weeks after he was diagnosed with a brain tumour.
He was offered radiotherapy but turned it down after doctors told him the gruelling treatment wouldn’t extend his life.
The TV star was initially being cared for at the Royal Berkshire Hospital but returned home 10 days before his death to spend his final days with Debbie, whom he married in 1988, and his sons Martin, 52, Paul, 55, and Gary, 46.
And, although he was struggling with the deadly disease, Paul didn’t let the illness shatter his positive mindset as he spent his final days chomping on ice cream and listening to music.
Debbie said at the time: "Our life has been full of laughter and that’s what it’s been the last few weeks up until the last 48 hours when he slipped into a sleep.
"Minutes before he slipped into that sleep, he was smiling at me and joking and singing Beatles songs … His favourite ice cream was Magnums – we had a lot of Magnums."
