Patrick Wilson joins the cast of ‘The Commuter’

Patrick Wilson has joined the cast of ‘The Commuter’
The 43-year-old actor is the latest star to be announced as appearing in the new action thriller, joining previously-announced Liam Neeson and Vera Farmiga.
The script – written by Philip de Blasi and Byron Willinger – sees Liam play an insurance salesman who just wants to get through his daily commute, but is forced by a mysterious stranger (Vera) to uncover the identity of another passenger before the train reaches its destination. Patrick will play the role of Liam’s trusted friend who helps guide him along the way.
The movie is directed by Jaume Collet-Serra, who is no stranger to working with 64-year-old Liam as they previously collaborated on a number of movies including ‘Unknown’ and ‘Non-Stop’.
‘The Commuter’ marks the fourth film that Jaume has done with Liam after 2015’s ‘Run All Night’.
Recently, Patrick and Vera graced our screens together when they played married couple Ed and Lorraine Wilson in ‘The Conjuring 2’, a movie which Patrick claimed went "deeper" into the understanding of the horror genre.
Speaking at the time, the star said: "One of the things that James [Wan, director] wanted to dispel (was) this is not the creepy house at the end of the street. This is like every other house on that block, and I think that’s important. It becomes less about obvious scare, and becomes about something a little deeper."
