Paloma Faith had baby gender excitement

Paloma Faith "couldn’t wait" to find out the sex of her child.
The 36-year-old singer and her partner Leyman Lahcine have vowed to raise their 13-month-old child as gender neutral and haven’t publicly disclosed whether they have a boy or a girl, but the ‘New York’ hitmaker admitted she was desperate to find out during her pregnancy and did so at the earliest possible chance.
She said: "I did find out as early as I possibly could what gender my baby was – I couldn’t wait."
The ‘Only Love Can Hurt Like This’ singer hasn’t told people whether she has a son or daughter because she wants her offspring to have as much privacy as they possibly can while having a parent in the public eye.
She explained to Q magazine: "There’s a question of privacy, in that I have not revealed the gender of my child because I want privacy for my child because I think that celebrity is not necessarily everyone’s cup of tea and I don’t know what personality my child is going to have so I wouldn’t want to force those circumstances on them."
And Paloma insists her approach to gender neutral parenting simply means not exposing her child to ideals and expectations based on stereotypes.
She said: "Being gender neutral is not a case of being gender X or Y, it’s more, ‘I don’t care what gender you are, I want to teach you that violence isn’t acceptable and that caring for people is important. You could be a scientist, a mathematician, fire fighter, painter, carer or whatever, it doesn’t matter what gender you are. You can do anything you want to do. You can be gay, straight, transgender, a heterosexual working in IT and wearing a grey suit for all I care, because I will still love you.’ "
