Prince Philip amused by swearing soldier

Britain's Prince Philip was amused by a swearing soldier.
Queen Elizabeth's husband chuckled good-naturedly when an unnamed military man let slip the f-word during Philip's official visit to the 1st Battalion Grenadier Guards in Aldershot, Hamphshire, yesterday (24.02.14).
The 92-year-old royal, who has been Colonel of the regiment since 1975, was watching a friendly football match between corporals and guardsmen when one player came off the pitch.
Philip asked the exhausted soldier, "Are you all right?", to which he replied, "No, I'm f****d."
The solider also let out an expletive-filled rant about how much pain he was in, before looking up and realising exactly who he was speaking to.
According to the MailOnline, the man walked away looking sheepish but was "heartily amused" by his mistake.
Philip chatted to soldiers during his visit to the Lille Barracks, and recalled one of his own visits to the South Atlantic after hearing about how The Queen's Company had spent eight weeks in the Falkland Islands.
He joked: "I tried fly fishing for sea trout but nothing happened."
The royal also posed for a picture with officers and presented long service medals to three sergeants.
Lieutenant Colonel Chips Broughton, commanding officer of the battalion, said: "It's an honour. He is our regimental colonel. He has been a tremendous supporter of the Grenadiers."

Prince Harry ready to marry Cressida Bonas?

Britain's Prince Harry is reportedly set to marry Cressida Bonas.
The handsome royal is smitten with the 25-year-old socialite and rumours are circulating he is ready to walk down the aisle with his girlfriend of over a year.
A source told America's OK! Magazine: "First he needs to go through certain royal protocols, such as asking his grandmother's permission.
"Palace sources say there's not been a formal request made to her majesty yet, but the fact we're hearing about it means it's likely he's already popped the question and they're waiting until all the boxes are ticked before formally announcing it."
Getting permission from Queen Elizabeth shouldn't be a problem since the 87-year-old monarch reportedly thinks Cressida, a member of the aristocratic Curzon family, is a good match for Harry.
The insider added: "It's no secret the queen would dearly love to see her roguish grandson settle down, and she thinks Cressy is his ideal match. She likes that she comes from a good family, plus she has a twinkle in her eye that reminds [the queen] of her sister, the late Princess Margaret."
However, should Harry take the plunge, his wedding won't be as lavish as his older brother Prince William's nuptials with Duchess Catherine at Westminster Abbey.
The source said: "There's no way it will be as huge. The [second] heir to the throne was always going to be a huge spectacle with pomp and circumstance."

British royals ‘cash in’ on housing benefits

Britain's royal family are at the centre of a housing benefits row.
Prince Charles' Duchy of Cornwall estate and Queen Elizabeth's Crown Estate received over £200,000 in housing benefit payments for their tenants last year, according to the Daily Mirror newspaper.
The money, paid by local authorities to landlords, has left people angry that the royals are cashing in thanks to the law which benefits private landlords.
The paper estimates that the Crown Estate received a massive £38,539 in housing benefit payments by one council last year, with the Duchy of Cornwall getting £163,000.
Defend Council Housing group are campaigning for a cap on the amount of housing benefit private landlords are allowed.
Spokeswoman Eileen Short said: "Prince Charles was brought up in the biggest council house in Britain, Buckingham Palace.
"We should be regulating the amount of rent we pay to landlords like him and if the Duchy of Cornwall paid its fair share of taxes we could use the money to build new high quality council housing for the benefit of the nation."
A spokesman for the Crown Estate commented: "Our properties are let to a range of tenants including residents who may receive housing benefit. As with any landlord, there are some cases where tenants receive housing benefit and the rent is paid directly by the local authority from the tenant's benefit to the landlord.
"All of The Crown Estate's profits are returned to the Treasury each year for the benefit of the nation's public finances."
