Angelina Jolie gets cooking lessons

Angelina Jolie has been having cooking lessons.
The A-list actress was allegedly given a crash course in culinary skills by a personal chef while in Australia directing her new movie 'Unbroken' in a bid to become a domestic goddess.
The 38-year-old star - who previously admitted her son Pax's kitchen know-how surpassed her own - is determined to be able to rustle up healthy meals for her six children.
According to Us Weekly, the kids - Maddox, 12, Pax, 10, Zahara, eight, Shiloh, seven, and twins Knox and Vivienne, five, who she raises with her fiancé Brad Pitt - are the "worst eaters" and cooking for them is tricky because they "want to eat different things at different times."
Angelina is said to be "very proud" of her new skills and has been testing them out at home on her brood.
Brad also struggles in the kitchen and reportedly resorted to asking his chef friend, British star Jamie Oliver, for advice on how to prepare a Christmas dinner in 2012.
An insider said at the time: "Brad asked him to do it after he begged Jamie for cookery lessons last year. Jamie tried to teach him but he's useless in the kitchen."

Ice Cube took guns on tour in early days

Ice Cube took guns on tour with him before he was famous.
The 44-year-old star - real name O'Shea Jackson - toured with American hip hop group N.W.A (Niggaz Wit Attitudes) between the late 80s and into the 90s, and during the early years he felt he needed weapons to help stay safe.
Talking about his early N.W.A days, he explained: "We were in Detroit once with Ice-T and his crew, and some local gangsters came into the hotel, knocking on every door, looking for their people. We weren't having it, so the assault rifles came out. We were about to have war on the top floor of a damn Marriott [laughs]. I'm thinking, 'I could have stayed in South Central for this s**t.' But this was the early days, when we took guns on tour with us."
Ice Cube insists that after he found fame he decided guns were best left with the police.
Asked about whether he felt they needed guns, he told ShortList magazine: "Yeah. We felt like we'd never been to Detroit or Chicago - if they 'banging out here like they are in LA, we need guns. At a certain point, though, it was just like, 'Dude, we're famous now. We don't need guns. Let's just use the police. That's what they're there for.'"

Kim Kardashian’s designer ban for North

North West has been banned from wearing designer clothes until she is older.
The eight-month-old tot's parents Kim Kardashian and Kanye West may be notorious fashionistas - with the rapper starting a separate career as a fashion designer - but she isn't going to be wearing anything too chic until she's grown a little more.
Kim told People magazine: "[North] has not actually worn anything designer yet. Kids get dirty, she'll spit up. She moves around so much. I saw this one cute dress that was $500, and I was like, 'Absolutely not!' I just want her in little onesies or leggings."
Kim, 33, has previously shown off a number of designer items which have been set to her for North since her birth, but at the moment she's fine dressing her hand-me-downs from her older sister Kourtney, who has 20-month-old daughter Penelope.
She added: "Despite what it looks like on Instagram, my daughter is not spoiled at all. Kourtney saves everything from her daughter, and gives it to me.
"I tried to put North in a faux fur vest, but she hated it. She doesn't mind headbands [that don't] pull her hair."

Ice Cube is a sore loser

Ice Cube is a "sore loser".
The 44-year-old star - real name O'Shea Jackson - worked with George Clooney in 1999's 'Three Kings' and admits the notorious prankster avoided playing tricks on him while they were filming since he would "get upset".
He explained: "No, you don't prank someone who ain't a practical joker, because I'm going to get upset. I'm a sore loser. You can make me laugh from over there, but don't hit me or spill s**t on me."
Ice Cube claims Clooney isn't up to the same cheeky pranks he used to play on friends in the Hollywood hunk's younger days.
He told ShortList magazine: "Seriously, though, Clooney's a motherf****r [laughs]. He ain't no joke. He talked to me about poking holes in his friends' condoms and s**t [laughs].
"This was in his younger days, I don't know if he'd still go that far, but Clooney has no boundaries, man. You don't play with Clooney."
Ice Cube has recently hit the big screen in 'Ride Along' and there are talks of a sequel for a 2015 release.

Pharrell Williams defends album cover

Pharrell Williams has defended the cover of his new album 'G I R L' after it sparked racial controversy.
The 'Happy' hitmaker received criticism for the artwork, which features him stood next to three women, because critics assumed they were all white and thought he should have included a black woman on the cover.
He told radio station Power 105.1: "What really disappointed me is that, man, [the critics] jumped the gun 'cause the woman I'm standing closest to is black and she's a black girl from Wisconsin I used to date over 10, 12 years ago.
"That must suck for people to just look at something and assume they know what's going on..."
The 40-year-old singer, who is now married to Helen Lasichanh, also praised black women, in particular '12 Years a Slave' star Lupita Nyong'o.
He gushed: "I told her two weeks ago at the Oscars luncheon her skin was flawless, I love her skin, my god."
Pharrell insists if people listen to his new album, which is released on March 4, they will realise it's an "ode to women".
He said: "The one thing I'm trying to help and change is that crazy standard that you have to be white, wafer thin for you to be beautiful," adding: "They just reported I'm the first black person to go number one on pop radio since Rihanna, but then you're gonna shoot at me. "My mom is a black woman, my business is run by a another black women and I'm married to a black woman, what are you talking about?"

Winona Ryder wore $10 dress to Oscars

Winona Ryder once wore a $10 dress to the Oscars.
The 'Girl, Interrupted' star is an avid bargain hunter and lover of vintage clothes, and is also not afraid to recycle outfits she has previously worn to events.
She told Red magazine: "Most of my wardrobe is vintage and I've worn dresses to the Oscars that I got for $10.
"At Sean Penn's last Haiti gala I wore this vintage dress that I'd worn to a film premiere in 2005. I know that's kind of a no-no in the fashion world, but why wear something just once if you love it?"
The 42-year-old actress rose to fame in the mid 80s while she was still a teenager and had continuing success in her 20s, which she says made her 30s hard, as her young looks meant she didn't always get picked for the roles she wanted.
She added: "My early thirties were rough. I went through stuff that I would have gone through, and probably should have gone through much younger, but I had spent my twenties working. Even when I was the right age for older roles, people thought of me as being younger. It was tough because I'd had so much success in my early twenties."
In the same interview Winona also said she one day hopes to work with 'The Wire' writer David Simon.

Drake: Rihanna is a diamond

Drake thinks Rihanna is a "diamond in the sky".
The 'Take Care' rapper is rumoured to have rekindled his romance with the Bajan beauty - who he was first linked to in 2009 - after they were spotted partying in Paris earlier this week, and he compares her to the jewel she sings about in her hit 'Diamonds'.
A source told Hollywoodlife.com: "He wants her to be that diamond in the sky she sings about. He thinks she's beautiful, just like the words that come out of her mouth. He takes her and her work seriously.
"They're having fun and he likes where things are now. As long as she's smiling and happy, he's doing his job.
"They both know they could have anybody they want but they're choosing to deal with each other because they like one another and are on a high when they're together."
Drake has recently said he thinks of Rihanna as the "ultimate fantasy" and admitted he was upset when she broke off their budding relationship.
He said: "At the time it hurt, but she didn't mean to. I'll never put that on her. I was hurt because I slowly started to realise what it was. I guess I thought it was more."
As well as Drake getting close to Rihanna again, it has also been rumoured she has been back in touch with her bad boy ex Chris Brown, and they "haven't stopped" texting since her birthday on February 20.

Claudia Schiffer turned down £1m date

Claudia Schiffer once turned down a £1 million dinner date.
The German supermodel was offered the huge amount by an arab prince, but didn't take him up on it as she thought it was "strange".
Asked by talk show host Jonathan Ross what requests she had during her huge success in the 90s, she replied: "Loads of weird ones, but the strangest one was from an Arab prince.
"He asked if he could hire me for a dinner for a million pounds. I declined, and some other supermodel took it."
Claudia - who is married to film director Matthew Vaughn - declined to say which prince made her the offer. She also claimed she was a "loser" at school.
She said: "Everyone called me Duck because my bum stuck out and I walked kind of funny because my legs are a bit funny, and I was really tall. I didn't have any friends."
Although she's now used to being photographed for magazines and appearing in adverts in just her underwear, the model claims she is naturally shy.
She added: "I am just shy when there are lots of people. I'm OK when we're just one on one, or maybe four people. I'm a really, really shy person. Once I put the make-up on I'd go 'OK, I can cope'."

Prince Andrew dating Monika Jakisic

Prince Andrew is dating Monika Jakisic.
The British royal is said to be dating the Croatian beauty - an ex-girlfriend of George Clooney - after they were introduced by friends, celebrating his 54th birthday together last week a Cecconi's restaurant in London.
A source told UsMagazine.com: "They sat next to each other at an intimate table by the front of the restaurant and were cuddling up to each other. Andrew was making Monika laugh and kissing her hand."
The eyewitness added during the dinner "Monika gave him a birthday card and the server brought out a white birthday cake for dessert."
Days later they were spotted at The Arts Club in Mayfair, where Andrew wrapped his arms around Monika and kissed her.
Another source said: "It was obvious they are a couple, they looked like two lovebirds."
Andrew, the Duke of York, was previously married to Sarah Ferguson from 1986 to 1996, and they have two daughters, Princess Beatrice, 25, and Princess Eugenie, 23, together. Although they are no longer married, Andrew and Sarah maintain a good relationship and even holiday as a family with their daughters.
Monika, 33, first dated George in 2004 and they have had an on-off relationship since, and were said to be seeing each other again briefly last year after the 'Gravity' star's relationship with Stacy Keibler ended.

Shakira opens new school

Shakira has opened a new school for underprivileged children in Colombia.
The 'Can't Remember To Forget You' singer went back to her home country to open the new facility on Monday (24.02.14), which has been funded by her Pies Descalzos charity.
She told Billboard.com: "This is part of my advocacy: Promote access to universal education.
"I want to demonstrate through the Pies Descalzos model how we can change the lives, not only of the children who come to school, but also their families. Entire communities can be transformed when you have a school that functions properly."
The school, located in Cartagena, will educate 1,700 needy children ranging from toddlers to teenagers.
Shakira brought 13-month-old Milan, her son with soccer star Gerard Piqué, with her for his first visit to Columbia, and got him a passport while they were there.
Talking about her hopes for the students of the school, she added: "I'm so happy to see so many joyful faces in these students.
"They'll have the tools necessary to become good citizens, far from violence and drugs. We dream of the day in which there will be no child without an education in Colombia."

Scott Eastwood would have been a fireman

Scott Eastwood would have become a fireman if he wasn't an actor.
'The Perfect Wave' star says his famous father, Hollywood legend Clint Eastwood, didn't actively encourage him to have a career on screen, and if he had chosen a different career path, he would have done another job which provides new challenges on a daily basis.
He told Man of the World magazine: "If I didn't do this, I'd be a fireman; something super-active that challenges you and is different every day.
"Some of my earliest memories are being on set with my dad. That was just work - busy people all over the place with no noticeable degree of difference between them. There wasn't some unusual quality called fame.
"Even when I eventually got camera time, I didn't get special treatment. If anything, my dad was harder on me. My father never pressured any of [his children] to go into the movie business. All he ever said was, 'Whatever you do, do your best at it.' "
While Scott, 27, is following in his father's footsteps, he is careful not to repeat him, and is reluctant to star as a cowboy, as Clint became famous for portraying in the 60s.
He added: "I could've done a western years ago. I read a ton of scripts. The reality is that the new westerns are s**t. I wanted to play against all that.
"There's more to me than acting. I don't let acting control me. I wouldn't know how to live an enjoyable life if I let it. F**k, it's just make believe."

Dappy charged with assault

Dappy has been charged with assault.
The N-Dubz singer and reality TV star has been charged over an alleged incident in the early hours of this morning (27.02.14) after a performance at Chicago's Nightclub in Essex, Southern England.
A police source said Dappy will face allegations of "assault by beating" under his real name, Costadinos Contostavlos.
The spokesperson added to the Daily Mirror newspaper: "He has been released on bail prior to his appearance at Chelmsford Magistrates Court on March 19."
The singer and rapper had earlier said he enjoyed his night at the club, writing on Twitter: "Had a great night in Chicagos. Crowd was amazing."
A source close to the 26-year-old star - who was recently a runner-up on 'Celebrity Big Brother' - denied he was responsible for the altercation.
The friend said: "He acted in complete self defence."
In December 2008 Dappy pleaded guilty to two accounts of assault after reportedly spitting in a girl's face during a night out.
In 2013 he was also convicted of affray and assault by beating over a fight on a petrol station forecourt, for which he received a six-month sentence, suspended for 18 months as well as being ordered to do 150 hours community service and pay £4,500 compensation and £2,000 in costs.
Outside of court after receiving the charges he told the BBC: "I thought it was the end. Everything I'd worked so hard for all these years. I can't lie, I dropped a tear in that dock."
