Colin Farrell admits 'A New York Winter's Tale' isn't for "everyone".
The 37-year-old actor appears in the film alongside former 'Downton Abbey' star Jessica Brown Findlay, who plays his love interest, and admits the romantic drama won't be a favourite for everybody since it's "too sweet".
He told HELLO! magazine: "It's not for everyone. I know that for some people it will be too sweet. But it's also a very beautiful and very optimistic and very kindly intentioned film that has not a shard of malice in it, and I'm hoping that the people who will enjoy it, will really enjoy it."
Farrell's equestrian skills made it easier to film scenes where he rode Athansor, a mysterious white horse who becomes his alter-ego's guardian angel, but had concerns about having Findlay on the horse behind him.
He added: "That was a hairy ride, man. People can get thrown off horses, you know? And I don't mind for myself because I've been thrown off horses before, and it's fine, it's cool, you just get back on again. I don't even mind how wild the horse is - although the horse we used in the film was pretty cool and mellow. But I did fear riding with Jessica in the back because I'm not that good a horseman."

The Tenors say Miley Cyrus is going down a "dangerous" path.
The Canadian vocal quartet think the former Disney star - who was catapulted to the spotlight as Hannah Montana - has numerous young fans who admire and "copy" her, and the band are worried about the example she sets for a "nation of kids" with her provocative dance moves.
Talking at We Day UK in London on Friday (07.03.14), they told BANG Showbiz: "If you're a Disney star, you have so many young kids looking up to you and that will copy you.
"You have a whole nation of kids who are trying to be provocative or inappropriate and I think it's dangerous, a dangerous path to go down."
The Tenors - made up of Remingo Pereira, Victor Micallef, Fraser Walters and Clifton Murray - hope the 'Wrecking Ball' singer realises the long-term implications of being provocative and that "shock value" isn't the way forward.
Quizzed on the advice they'd give her, they added: "Think about your career for the next 15 years not just for the next six months because people are so willing to do something shocking, but you have to live with that moment for the rest of your life.
"I think there's a lot of pressure with big companies and the corporate world of running the music industry for people to sell themselves and do the shock value treatment to get the next few hits."

Embrace wrote 500 songs for their new album and think it's better than their 1998 debut 'The Good Will Out'.
The band - made up of brothers Danny and Richard McNamara, Steve Firth, Mickey Dale and Mike Heaton - have not released an album since 'This New Day' in 2006 and say it's taken them more than five years to write their sixth album.
Frontman Danny told BANG Showbiz: "It's really hard to do an album better than your first one.
"That's why we've been away for so long, most bands don't want to be away for that long.
"I think we got near it with our fourth album, but finally I think now we've actually managed to do it, not many bands can keep the standard up.
"The festival offers are coming through and America wants us again. It's exciting, I feel like a 15 year old again."
The 'Drawn from Memory' band will release their self-titled record on April 28, which features new single 'Refugees', and set out on tour in May after performing at secret shows in their hometowns of Bradford and Halifax recently.
And Danny admits he didn't think tour tickets would sell when they were approached by a promoter.
He said: "The response has been amazing. The gigs are all selling out, when the promoter came to us and said, 'We want to put a tour on sale', we thought nobody would be bothered. We put the tickets on sale and when I got out of bed [the next day] most of it had already sold out.
"It was like 10,000 tickets in one day, I was like, 'F***ing hell, we haven't even advertised it yet'. It's like the roller-coaster of starting again."
Embrace will also release their new single 'Follow You Home' on April 28.

Paloma Faith is "fine" after being mugged.
The 'Can't Rely On You' hitmaker was robbed in the street recently, and though the thief made off with her bag, the singer - who insists she wasn't targetted because of her fame - was thankful the situation wasn't worse.
She said: "I was mugged a few weeks ago in London, they came from behind me, they didn't mug 'me', I don't think they saw it was me, they just saw a person.
"They got my bag but luckily my phone and keys were in my pocket. A word of warning - always separate.
"I'm fine, I was scarily fine but the person I was with was really shaken up. I was just like, 'That's pretty standard in London'. Maybe I'm desensitised."
Paloma insists her cool-headed stance wasn't unusual as she is often a useful person to have around during a crisis.
She added in an interview with BBC Radio 2 presenter Dermot O'Leary: "I'm really good in a crisis if anyone ever needs me, if you want any advice or anything. I'll turn up and sort everything out."
The 32-year-old singer first revealed she had been mugged on twitter, writing last month: "I got mugged last night. Not fun. Thank you London. That'll teach me to walk home."

Little Mix got "loads of piercings" when they toured Japan last month.
The 'Wings' hitmakers - Jesy Nelson, Jade Thirwall, Leigh-Anne Pinnock and Perrie Edwards - decided to get jewellery punctured into their bodies while they were visiting the country in February.
When asked about her nose stud, Jesy replied: "Yeah, I did have a stud but it looked like a little blister so I changed it. I had it done in Japan about a month ago."
Perrie added: "We just decided to get loads of piercings."
Jesy explained: "Perrie got some more piercings in her ears."
Meanwhile, the girl group - who shot to fame on 'The X Factor' in 2011 - are currently stateside attempting to crack the US, but they admit they miss the English food while they're away.
When asked what they miss the most while on tour, Jade replied: "The English banter and the food!"
Perrie - who is engaged to One Direction hunk Zayn Malik - added: "My loved ones, my family and my dogs. And the food, too."
However, despite admitting the food portions are a lot bigger in the US, the five-piece insist they're on strict orders to eat healthily and are in the gym regularly in a bid to keep their fitness up.
Jade explained to New! Magazine: "The portions are massive
but fortunately everything on the tour is healthy. Otherwise we'd
be eating bagels and ice cream! ... We've all been exercising
and going to the gym and stuff."

Josh Lucas "wouldn't wish divorce" on his "worst enemy".
The 42-year-old actor split up with his wife Jessica Ciencin Henriquez in January - with whom he has 20-month-old son Noah Rev - and, although they are trying their best to stay friends, he admits it's a heartbreaking situation to go through.
He explained: "We have been through a divorce and divorce isn't something I would wish on my worst enemy. Even when in our case we have managed to do it not only amicably but as -- hopefully in the end -- great friends, particularly because we have a young child that we both truly love."
Meanwhile, the hunky star admits he's more inclined to accept playful and funny roles that will benefit his son because becoming a father has not only changed his life, but his career as well.
He explained to People magazine: "Me becoming a father has changed absolutely everything in my life, period. I am more and more wanting to be a part of things that [are] playful and more the things I see my son really responding to and enjoying."

Chris Evans wants to get married and have children.
The 32-year-old actor admits he's ready to leave his partying days behind him and start building a family because he doesn't want to look back on his life later on and regret missing out on those things.
He said: "I want to get married, though I want children--to me that's the ultimate thing. When you're old and on your death bed, looking back at your life it's not going to be the films you've made or what you've accomplished, it's the relationships you have. You're survived by things that matter--the people you love and those who love you back."
The 'Captain America' star admits he'd much rather spend his nights wrapped up on the sofa at home, rather than out partying with his mates and knocking back countless amounts of alcohol.
He explained to the UK edition of Glamour magazine: "In your twenties you think, 'How will I ever not like going out?'. You have drinks, buddies, music--great! But in the last two or three years, I go to a club and I kind of wish I was home. My idea of a good time has evolved a bit, so a night out with me might not be as exciting as it might have been a couple of years ago."

Rob Kardashian reportedly doesn't want to attend his sister Kim Kardashian's wedding because of his weight gain.
The 26-year-old reality TV star doesn't want to watch Kim, 33, and her fiancé Kanye West, 36, tie the knot in Paris, France, in May because he's unhappy with his appearance.
A source told RadarOnline: "Rob is upset about his changing shape and truly feels like the black sheep of the family."
The source added: "Kim is his sister. He loves her. But he knows this will be all about Kim and as usual, Rob feels he would be like the third wheel.
"The reality of their situation is that Kim and Rob haven't been that close in years. Deep down, she thinks he is a total slacker and it's very hurtful to Rob."
Meanwhile, Rob recently sought medical help on his weight and he was horrified after learning that he was at risk of developing diabetes and eventual organ failure.
However, the sock designer - whose father Robert Kardashian died aged just 59 from oesophageal cancer in 2003 - has agreed he needs to make changes to his lifestyle.

Simon Cowell has confirmed Cheryl Cole is returning to 'The X Factor'.
The music mogul took to his Twitter account tonight (10.03.14) to
announce that the 30-year-old singer - who was on the show from 2008 to 2011 - has reclaimed her seat on the judging panel.
He tweeted: "It's official. Cheryl is back.
"Be careful what you wish for! (sic)".
He added: "Most importantly she is a brilliant judge of talent. (sic)".
The former Girls Aloud star also celebrated the news with her fans by posting a picture of her grabbing Simon by the neck, which she
accompanied with the caption, "GUESS WHAT!! .. I'm Baaaacccckkkkk!!!! (sic)".
It is believe the brunette beauty, who left the UK programme two years ago to try her hand at judging the US edition, signed a £1.5 million deal to return to the panel for one series.
A source told the Daily Mirror newspaper: "The deal was done over the weekend. Simon is absolutely delighted to have her back on the judging panel."
Meanwhile, the other two judges joining Simon and Cheryl for this
year's show are yet to be confirmed after current judges Louis Walsh,
Sharon Osbourne, Gary Barlow and Nicole Scherzinger announced their departure last year.

Drew Barrymore doesn't think she's a very "good" actress.
The 39-year-old star - who has starred in countless films since the age of six - doesn't rate her dramatic ability because she prefers to become the character, rather than imitate them.
She explained: "I don't think I'm a good actress. I feel like it's fake and yucky and it doesn't ring true. But if you research and you study and make it personal, you just become that person, and it's your truth and everything else around you falls away. Then you're telling the truth, it's not lying, it's not fake."
The blonde beauty credits her godfather Steven Spielberg for giving her the best advice, which has stuck with her for 33 years.
She told the New York Times newspaper: "Steven told me, 'Don't act your characters. Be your characters'."
She added: "At [the age of] six, I guess I was comfortable and more humorous than I would have remembered now. But once I got older and kept continuing acting, I don't know if I would have succeeded without that advice, because that's the thing that saved me. I'm not an actor, I'm a pretender."

A Miley Cyrus fan was arrested last week after he allegedly crept into her dressing room in Nebraska.
Tucker Salvensen, 18, was detained by police on March 6 on suspicion of misdemeanour criminal trespassing after he walked into a restricted area backstage at the CenturyLink Center in Omaha.
The teenager, who was allegedly caught on camera committing the crime, messaged Miley on Twitter claiming he'd left a note in her dressing room with his phone number and Twitter handle attached.
According to the police report, Tucker's note to Miley, 21, read: "I snuck back here I need to meet you. You have helped me so much your music has given me all the answers I was looking for when my heart got broke ... we went through the same thing @ the same time ... Miley I love you!!! Please let me meet you. (sic)"
However, Tucker reportedly told law enforcement officers after his arrest that he'd obtained a VIP pass from a truck driver on the tour and thought the ticket gave him access to the entire building.
He claims he walked past a number of CenturyLink Center employees on his way to the dressing room and no one stopped to question him, according to KETV NewsWatch 7.
CenturyLink Center bosses told police that the VIP passes only allow access to certain areas of the building and do not include the restricted areas where Miley's dressing room was located.
Meanwhile, Tucker missed the concert in Omaha due to his arrest, but has already purchased tickets for another show next month.

Jennie Garth put on weight after splitting up from Peter Facinelli.
The 'Mystery Girls' star admits she piled on the pounds after she broke up with the 40-year-old actor - with whom she has three children Luca, 16, Lola, 11, and Fiona, seven - in 2012.
She said: "Yeah [I put on weight after the split] I was super depressed. I had to lose the weight when I was even considering coming back to Hollywood and needing to make a living-- knowing what I do is based on how I look, seeing pictures and going, 'Whoa, nobody is going to hire that to be on TV'."
Jennie and Peter divorced last year and, although she found it a difficult and emotional process, she claims the break-up has given her time to work on herself.
She told FOX411: "That is the one good thing about divorce: I have time to actually be with myself, take better care of myself when my girls are with their dad."
Meanwhile, the blonde beauty, 41, insists she's not dating anyone at the moment, but she hasn't ruled out having more children with someone in the future.
She explained: "If the right situation arose yeah, sure [I'd love to have more kids]. I love children. My girls are very close. They fight constantly. They kill each other every day but they love each other."
