Gary Barlow wants Nicole Scherzinger back on X Factor

Gary Barlow has claimed Nicole Scherzinger should return to 'The X Factor'.
The Take That singer - who stepped down from his role as a judge when the most recent series came to an end in December - has said he hopes the Pussycat Doll will be back and he expects to see Louis Walsh on the TV talent show's panel later this year.
Discussing this year's judges on 'Alan Carr: Chatty Man', he commented: "Is Louis back ... He's back, he's always back!
"For me I'd have Nicole back again. I thought she was a great judge and for all of her contestants she was great, she'd spend all week meeting with them, going to Greggs with them. She really did work really hard."
The 'Greatest Day' hitmaker also explained that the show's boss Simon Cowell was fine with his decision to quit, and he is now ready to "move on".
He added: "Do you know I had three brilliant years, especially last year. Last year was a hoot from the word go and it was just time to go.
"Three years is just long enough, I didn't overstay my welcome, I just did it and enjoyed it and I can move on now."

Cate Blanchett’s on-set accident

Cate Blanchett and Rooney Mara were involved in a car accident on the set of 'Carol'.
The actresses were filming a scene where they had to drive a classic Dodge car down an icy road in Cincinnati, but the brakes failed, leaving them in danger.
An on set source said: "Cate was driving and everything was fine until she tried to stop the car and the brakes failed.
"She kept pumping the pedal as fast as she could, but nothing happened. The girls started screaming at the top of their lungs, speeding past the film crew, who'd pulled to the side of the road after they'd finished shooting."
Desperate to stop the runaway car Blanchett, 44, pulled the wheel as hard as she could to the right, pulling the car to an angle in the road, but eventually bringing them to a stop.
The source added to National Enquirer magazine: "It spun around on the icy street but came to a halt as it slammed into a wooden fence. Everyone came running ... as the camera guy started dialling 911, he heard Cate yelling, 'We're OK! We're good! The car isn't good, but we're fine!"
The pair were then said to be relieved when the director told them he had the perfect take of them in the car and they wouldn't have to do the scene again.

Haim stay healthy on tour

Haim have injections "in the ass" every day on tour.
The Californian trio - sisters Este, Alana and Danielle Haim - admit they struggle to perform well if they have been partying, so think the key to a successful tour is to stay healthy and watch what they eat.
Alana Haim explained: "I'd love to think we were the Rolling Stones back in the day, getting drunk and partying all the time, but we're not. We're too scared to get sick.
"So do your B12 shots. We've been on tour for two years and finally cracked the health code; take vitamins, eat greens, drink juices. If you're not healthy, you can't play a good show.
"B12 shots go in the ass, yes. Does it hurt? I have a cushion, it's not really a problem for me."
The 'Falling' hitmakers also find the time to work out on the road as it is easy to put on weight during a tour.
Alana said: "Every band gains 10 pounds on tour. After the show, everything is closed, you're fuelled by McDonalds so in hotels we run. Work out, keep fit. Shorts are my stage uniform and my favourite shorts are becoming too small. Este always says you gotta keep that ass tight."
While the sisters enjoy being on the road together, they always take time to stay in touch with their parents as they "miss" them.
Alana told Q magazine: "We owe our parents everything, they introduced us to music, gave us our first instruments and wanted us to become a band.
"So I always call my parents to let us know I'm still alive and OK on the road. I miss them lots, I do - it's so dorky to say it but I really do. There's times when you just miss your mom."

Kelly Brook set for lead role in US sitcom

Kelly Brook has landed the lead role in a new US comedy.
The British glamour model looks set to jump ship to Hollywood after being cast in the pilot episode of a new NBC sitcom called 'One Big Happy'.
It is said the star will play the girlfriend of Luke (Nick Zano), who is planning to have a baby with his lesbian friend - played by Elisha Cuthbert.
Added to the comedy's star power, Ellen DeGeneres is on board as the show's producer, and it is believed a number of big names were interested in the role.
An insider told The Sun newspaper: "A lot of actresses were up for this role so Kelly is over the moon about it."
Meanwhile, the 35-year-old beauty's acting agent Alex Segal has claimed this may be a "career-changing" step for her.
He added: "This could be a career-changing role for Kelly. She has worked so hard throughout this process to be part of a funny, heart-warming and very relevant sitcom. I am over the moon for her."
It is said Kelly and her new fiance David McIntosh travelled to New York on Thursday (27.03.14) to sign her contract, and she will start work on the sitcom on Monday (31.03.14).

Geri Halliwell dating Formula 1 team boss?

Geri Halliwell is reportedly dating a Formula 1 team boss.
The '2 Become 1' singer is said to be getting close to Christian Horner after the millionaire recently split up with the mother of his baby girl.
The pair have been spotted together walking near her north London home in the UK with The Sun newspaper reporting that their fling began after his break-up.
Christian's split from long-term partner Beverley Allen comes six months after she gave birth to their daughter Olivia, and brings an end to their 14-year relationship.
The Formula 1 Red Bull boss also acted as stepfather to her children Kieron, 25, and Liam, 21, and he previously described family life as a "source of strength".
He has said: "It gives you a certain sense of perspective. F1 is such a surreal world."
The emerging romance follows more good news for Geri after it was revealed Victoria Beckham had given the Spice Girls - including Emma Bunton, Mel C and Mel B - permission to reunite, although she won't be joining them.
Mel C recently revealed: "We've talked about it. Victoria doesn't want to, which we completely understand.
"We are so proud of her and her incredible foray into fashion, it's incredible what she's achieved as a designer ... The four of us could consider it maybe. We have Victoria's blessing to do that."

Lindsay Lohan praises Oprah Winfrey

Lindsay Lohan has credited Oprah Winfrey with having an "amazing" impact on her life.
The recovering actress - who has her own reality series 'Lindsay' on the TV star's OWN network - has described the broadcaster as a "guiding light" who has been a calming influence in her life.
Speaking on The Ellen DeGeneres show, she said: "I speak to her almost every day and she's just... she's been so amazing to me ... Just, you know, for everything.
"[Before 'Lindsay' premiered] I started getting really, like, panicked about it and I just called her and she was just talking me through it... and she got me really into meditation.
"She's just been a really strong guiding light and force to me as a friend and someone that I admire."
Meanwhile, Oprah was seen on Sunday's (23.03.14) episode of the show encouraging Lindsay to "prove the naysayers wrong".
She said: "You are going to have to prove the naysayers wrong.
"The vultures are waiting to pick your bones. And that shouldn't frighten you, that should liberate you, because if I were you, I wouldn't let them have me."

Simon Cowell says Kylie Minogue won’t quit The Voice

Simon Cowell says Kylie Minogue will return to 'The Voice'.
The 'X Factor' boss has predicted the 'I Should Be So Lucky' hitmaker will return for another year in her role as a coach on the rival TV talent show and dismissed claims her touring commitments could be a potential stumbling block.
He told The Sun newspaper: "My gut feeling is that Kylie is coming back. I don't believe all this 'commitments' stuff."
However, insiders have claimed the singer mentioned her tour dates - which run in September and November later this year - as a way to convince BBC bosses to move the blind auditions to accommodate her schedule.
A source said: "Kylie is being rather playful suggesting she won't be able to return because of her tour. What she appears to be saying to the BBC is, 'Move the dates'.
"Her team as convinced she's coming back. Filming 'The Voice' is hardly the most taxing thing for her and there's a huge cheque on the table."
Meanwhile, despite Kylie claiming she won't return and judges will.i.am and Ricky Wilson both suggesting they wouldn't be back without her, BBC1 chief Charlotte Moore has hinted the full panel - completed by Sir Tom Jones - will stay together for another year.
She said: "The new line-up has really connected with audiences and I look forward to it returning."

Holly Willoughby admires Cilla Black

Holly Willoughby described Cilla Black is "an icon".
The TV presenter insisted she isn't bothered about "fame" but would love a career with the longevity of her idol's.
She told the Daily Express newspaper's Saturday magazine: "I try not to take fame too seriously ... [But] it would be amazing if I were to have a career as long as Cilla Black's.
"I'm a huge fan of hers, she's like an icon to me ... You can only aspire to a career like hers."
Holly will host a one-off special for 'Surprise Surprise' - which ran from 1984 to 2001, and originally returned in 2012 after an 11 year break - and she is excited to bring back the programme Cilla made famous.
She added: "I think 'Surprise Surprise' is still popular with viewers because it has such a history.
"It's one of those shows where people have fond memories of watching it the first time around with Cilla.
"The fact that it ran for such a long time back then shows how much people had taken it into their hearts. And I think even if we changed the format slightly, people would still take it into their hearts because of the nature of the show."

Kimberley Walsh’s spicy cravings

Kimberley Walsh started craving spicy food after falling pregnant.
The former Girls Aloud singer, who is expecting her first child with boyfriend Justin Scott - who also has a 15-year-old daughter Chloe from a previous relationship - wanted hot dishes and put chilli oil on "everything" during her first few months of pregnancy.
She said: "One night I was eating chicken wings and I got the really spicy ones and Justin and Chloe couldn't understand how I was eating them.
"I was just getting through them saying they were fine! I had aversions to food at the beginning because everything made me feel sick, which is unusual for me because I can normally eat anything!"
Kimberley, 32, and Justin, 31, who have been dating for 10 years, found out Kimberley was pregnant on New Year's Day (01.01.14) after she experienced hot flushes around Christmas.
She told Britain's OK! magazine: "I had a few hot flush nights over Christmas but I didn't think anything of it. But I made dinner for everyone over Christmas when Justin's family was down and his mum saw me and I was bright red and she asked me if I was alright.
"She gave me a funny look and I think she probably knew."
"When we finally told her, she said, 'I wondered when you were going to tell me!"

Elton John and David Furnish ‘will marry’

Sir Elton John and David Furnish "feel it is their duty" to get married.
The pair were one of the first gay couples to enter into a civil partnership in 2005, and the star's partner has revealed they are planning their wedding now that same-sex marriage is legal in the UK.
He told Attitude magazine: "Elton and I will marry - as a high-profile couple, we feel it is our duty to do it, to make sure that everyone knows that this is something that many gay men living in this country never dreamed would happen.
"When it was announced that gay couples were able to obtain a civil partnership, Elton and I did so on the day it came into law.
"As something of a showman, [Elton] is aware that whatever he says and does, people will sit up and take notice -so what better way to celebrate that historic moment in time."
David also noted there was a "massive difference between" using the word "partner" and "husband" when describing a relationship.
He added: "Elton and I both think there is a massive difference between calling someone your 'partner' and calling them your 'husband'.
"Partner' is such an impersonal word and doesn't adequately describe the love we have for each other.
"When Zachary and Elijah are grown up and having children of their own, they will - hopefully - be living in a world where everyone can be equal, when being married isn't about whether you're straight or gay, but simply about being human."

Angelina Jolie: Brad Pitt ‘is a wonderful teacher’

Angelina Jolie says Brad Pitt is a "wonderful teacher" for their children.
The 'Maleficent' actress has six children with the star - Maddox, 12, Pax, 10, Zahara, nine, Shiloh, seven, and five-year-old twins Vivienne and Knox - and revealed he is a "much cooler and calmer" parent than she is.
She told the Daily Mirror newspaper: "Brad is a wonderful teacher and guide, for the boys in particular. He likes to plan things and proceed in a very deliberate and methodical way.
"He is much cooler and calmer ... I can be more impulsive and outspoken. It's very reassuring to know there is this very solid and generous man in your life."
Angelina also insisted despite having to balance their careers with looking after six children, the couple have adjusted to their "larger" family.
She said: "You get used to having this huge commotion around you. I've always been the kind of person who enjoys being alone yet once our family grew larger I discovered that I am truly happy to find myself surrounded by the children and have them come in when I'm taking a bath or lying down on the sofa or bed."

Gwyneth Paltrow is ‘very much about having fun’

Gwyneth Paltrow wants to "have fun" following her split from Chris Martin.
The couple announced their separation this week after 10 years of marriage, and it is said the 'Iron Man 3' actress is "ready" for another relationship, wanting to enjoy herself rather than get down over the break-up.
An source told The Sun newspaper: "She is ready to have another boyfriend. She's very much about having fun."
The blonde beauty - who has children Apple, nine, and Moses, seven, with the Coldplay singer - has also used her Goop website's online newsletter to thank fans for their support during this tough time.
She wrote: "CM and I in deep gratitude for the support of so many."
The couple described their break-up as an "unconscious coupling", and made the announcement earlier this week as they insisted they were "closer" than ever.
They said: "It is with hearts full of sadness that we have decided to separate.
"We have been working hard for well over a year, some of it together, some of it separated, to see what might have been possible between us, and we have come to the conclusion that while we love each other very much we will remain separate.
"We are, however, and always will be a family, and in many ways we are closer than we have ever been."
