Matthew McConaughey's hat from 'Dallas Buyer's Club' has fetched $13,000 at auction.
The white cowboy hat worn by the hunky star for his Oscar winning performance as AIDS patient Ron Woodroof in the drama movie reached three times its starting bid price of $3,000 when it was sold by auction house Nate D. Sanders in Los Angeles.
The hat is a size 7 and 3/8 with a 4-inch brim and made in Texas. The headwear was also sold with a certificate of authenticity from Universal Pictures.
The hat is signed under the brim, where Matthew wrote in black marker pen: "Just Keep Living, Matthew McConaughey.''
Matthew's words are a reference to lines said by his character David Wooderson in 1993's 'Dazed and Confused', his first role, where he said: "Let me tell you this, the older you do get the more rules they're gonna try to get you to follow. You just gotta keep livin' man, L-I-V-I-N'."
Matthew and his wife, Camila, have also established a foundation called J.K. Livin, which is set up to benefit high school students.
Collecting his Oscar for 'Dallas Buyer's Club', Matthew thanked his family, including his mother, Mary, his late father, James, his wife, and their three children, Levi, five, Vida, four and Livingston, 14 months.
He also said: "I want to thank God, because he's the one I look up to, he's graced my life with opportunities which I know are not of my hand or any other human hand.
"He has shown me that it's a scientific fact that gratitude reciprocates. In the words of the late [British actor] Charlie Laughton, who said, 'When you got God you got a friend and that friend is you.' "

Mariah was clearly delighted with the special gift and was thrilled to be having "family time" with Nick and their two-year-old twins Moroccan and Monroe together.
She added: "I'm just happy he's here!!!! #familytime #festivity @NickCannon."
The 'Honey' singer marked the occasion at the 10th anniversary of the opening of the Seminole Hard Rock Hotel & Casino in Tampa, Florida, where she tucked into a giant cake and Disney-themed sweet treats.
Butterflies have a special symbolic meaning to Mariah, whose sixth studio album was named after her personal ballad 'Butterfly', which is about the end of her marriage to her reportedly controlling ex-husband, Tommy Mottola.
Solange Knowles feels "far older" than 27.
The singer thinks marrying Daniel Smith - the father of her nine-year-old son Julez - when she was just 17 and separating less than four years later gave her an "insane amount" of perspective and says her experiences have made her wiser.
She said: "In a lot of ways, emotionally and mentally, I feel far older than 27. Just going through a marriage and a divorce - which I essentially did by 21 - will give you an insane amount of perspective on life."
Despite their split, Solange still gets on well with her ex-husband.
She told America's Harper's Bazaar magazine: "We co-parent really well. I'm able to say, 'I need to finish this album, can you step up and take care of the boy?' "
The 'Losing You' singer released her first album when she was 16 years old, and despite her older sister Beyonce being a successful member of Destiny's Child, she insists her family were never keen on her following in her sibling's footsteps.
She said: "My parents constantly tried to talk me out of being an artist. They had gone through the whole journey with my sister and just wanted me to have a normal teenage life."
And Solange - who is in a relationship with video director Alan Ferguson - admits she doesn't want her son to be a performer.
She said: "It's certainly not what I have in mind for him, I'm constantly trying to push him to work at the U.N., or be a diplomat. I try to convince him by explaining that he wouldn't have to wait in lines at the airport, and that he can park anywhere."
Amanda Bynes is "doing extremely well".
he 27-year-old actress - who completed psychiatric treatment for both schizophrenia and bipolar disorder in December following a series of public outbursts - is working hard and enjoying her classes at the Fashion Institute of Design & Merchandising (FIDM)
Her mother Lynn - who is temporary conservator of Amanda's personal and professional affairs - told People: "She is doing extremely well. She's making new friends and learning about the fashion industry."
Last week, Amanda and her parents attended a runway show at the Californian college, which showcased the work of senior students, and insiders says she fits in well at FIDM.
One source said:"She acts like any other student - focused and friendly."
The 'She's the Man' star enjoys classes so much, it was recently claimed she is planning on enrolling for more studies in April.
A source said: "If she was offered an acting job anytime soon, she may not take it because she's so focused on school."

John Martin believes working with Swedish House Mafia has changed his life forever.
The 33-year-old singer, known for his vocals on the trio's hits 'Don't You Worry Child' and 'Save the World', admits collaborating with the now defunct group gave his career an enormous boost.
Speaking exclusively to BANG Showbiz, he said: "Working with them has changed everything, I'm just really thankful for everything that happened with the collaboration with Swedish House Mafia and them producing the songs.
"It has just made my life so much more interesting than it was before."
The success of their collaborations came as a surprise to John and even though he predicted 'Don't You Worry Child' would be a massive hit, he couldn't believe the extent of its success following its release at the end of 2012.
He explained: "I wasn't expecting to be that big, to me 'Don't You Worry Child' was a hit because I love that song and I had a good feeling every time I was listening to it ... but I could never expect that song to become that big and to see five million copies all over the world."
John will also never forget the memories he made with the band - consisting of Sebastian Ingrosso, Axwell and Steve Angello - while touring with them on what turned out to be their final run of shows.
He said: "Touring with them a year ago, when we did the last shows in Miami, that is probably what I will remember for the rest of my life because everyone was there and it was the last shows that they did so people were very emotional and there was a great celebration going on."
John's new single 'Anywhere For You' is set for release on March 30.
Bush have been recording their new album at Dave Grohl's studio.
The band, fronted by Gavin Rossdale, are busy working on tracks for an upcoming LP and have been using the Foo Fighters singer's Studio 606 in Northridge, California, to get their parts down.
The rockers are collaborating with producer Nick Raskulinecz - who is best known for producing songs for the Foo Fighters and Alice In Chains - and other than letting Bush use his studio, Grohl is not involved in the project.
In a post on his personal Twitter account, Rossdale - who also uploaded a photo of him playing guitar in the studio - revealed: "The news is out!!! we're in the thick of it with nick r, 5 more songs to sing. getting closer to the finish line. so happy to share!! (sic)"
The 48-year-old musician - who is married to Gwen Stefani - also hinted Bush will hit the road to tour the album.
He tweeted: "I think we'll tour with the record but what do i know? (sic)"
The as-yet untitled album will be Bush's first release since 'The Sea of Memories' which came out in 2011.
At the time that album had been the band's first studio album for 10 years with previous LP 'Golden State' coming out in 2001.
Jorgie Porter has ruled out having children for now.
The former 'Hollyoaks' actress has been dating her ex-co-star James Atherton - who played killer Will Savage in the soap - for three years, but she insists she's not ready to start a family with him yet because she's "still a kid" herself.
When asked if they're ready to take their relationship to the next level, she said: "Do you mean like kids? No way, whoa! I feel like I'm still a kid myself."
She jokingly added: "I don't even drink coffee or tea."
However, the 26-year-old actress insists their relationship has improved since they both left the show last year.
She explained: "You do real things like shopping and you think, 'We're normal people'. During the day we're like, 'What shall we do?', 'Dunno'. Instead of going to go to the canteen together, now we get to go to a restaurant... we could just wander around, picking our noses."
Although the blonde beauty hasn't ruled out reprising her role as murderer Theresa McQueen in 'Hollyoaks', she insists she'll be taking an extended break from soaps.
She told Digital Spy: "I love the show and I love the people, but it's good to have a massive break because I've been working solidly for almost six years, every day, even weekends. It's a bubble and it's life-consuming. You forget about the real world and then you crawl out of it and you're like, 'Oh yes, there's people! Normal people'."
Nigella Lawson feels like she's had a "layer of skin removed" following her divorce from Charles Saatchi.
The TV chef admits she felt venerable during her split from the millionaire art collector last year, and the heartbreaking experience has made her even more "sensitive".
She explained: "The real truth is if you don't read things and don't get too involved it doesn't enter your bloodstream. If it doesn't enter you bloodstream you are not contaminated. What I have found is it has given me a far too sensitised reaction to newspapers.
"We all like gossiping in our own lives so I don't take a lofty view. I just perhaps feel having had a layer of skin removed I am more sensitive to other people's fortunes."
However, the 54-year-old beauty insists the shocking events, which saw photographs emerge of Charles choking Nigella at a restaurant in London last summer, have put things into perspective for her.
During an appearance on 'The Michael McIntyre Chat Show', she explained to the 38-year-old comedian: "I'm alive and I've found somewhere to live. I have had better times, it is spring and I am feeling better and I am very happy to be here.
"I have been alive for longer than you so I know life has its dips and it can get better and you can't fight it."
Nigella and Charles tied the knot in 2003, but their 10-year marriage came to an end in July last year after the businessman filed for divorce seven weeks after the shocking photographs were published.
'The Michael McIntyre Chat Show' airs on BBC One on Monday (31.03.14) at 10.35pm.
Nicola McLean will "always" suffer with an eating disorder.
The 32-year-old model admits she starved herself for a week after she saw photographs of herself last Christmas, and she believes she'll never be able to shake off her negative feelings towards food.
She said: " My youngest memory of an eating disorder is when I was 11, I think I'll always suffer. I just can't ever see a time where I can eat normally.
"The phobia gets bigger and bigger and bigger until it takes over one's life."
She added: "When I saw those pictures, I didn't eat for seven days, not one thing passed my mouth. I lived off Diet Coke and Prosecco."
The blonde beauty believes her obsession with food got worse after she became a mother to sons Rocky, seven, and Striker, four.
She explained: "Becoming a mother didn't help either, I actually got worse after Striker and dropped to six stone. I lost half my body weight in six months."
However, Nicola credits her sons and her footballer husband Tom Williams for helping her with her disorder.
She told the Daily Star online: "Apart from the kids, Tom has been my saviour. It's bad because people say you should never be dependent on someone, but I can't live without him. I'm obsessed."
