Joan Rivers has poked fun at Lindsay Lohan's miscarriage.
The outspoken comedienne even stunned her daughter Melissa with her remarks, which followed the troubled actress' revelation on her 'Lindsay' reality show at the weekend that she had recently lost a baby.
Asked what she thought about the news, Joan, 80, told TMZ: "I hope she kept it."
As Melissa recoiled in horror, she added: "Excuse me, what do you think I am? I was born with a coat hanger in my ear."
The 'Fashion Police' host then laughed when she was asked if she thought the 'Mean Girls' star would have made a good mother.
She replied: "She would have been diapering the wrong end."
Lindsay, 27, made the revelation on camera when explaining why she had taken a break from filming the OWN show, which chronicled her attempts to relaunch her career following her sixth stint in rehab.
She said: "No one knows this, and we can finish after this, I had a miscarriage for the two weeks that I took off."
After a long pause, the flame-haired beauty added: "It's a very long story," and failed to offer any other details, including who the father of her unborn child was.

Slipknot's Paul Gray was being prescribed Xanax in the weeks leading up to his death.
Doctor Daniel Baldi is on trial for the death of the group's bassist, who overdosed in May 2010, along with eight others, after allegedly giving him the drug despite his history of addiction.
A court heard on Tuesday (22.04.14), the musician spent his final weeks in a "blur" of extreme drug abuse which could have been prevented.
Paul's widow, Brenna Gray, questioned why Doctor Baldi was continuing to prescribe him the anti-anxiety drug when he was an addict in a downward spiral.
According to the Des Moines Register, she told the court: "I just knew it was his drug of choice, that he'd struggled with it.
"So I just wasn't really sure why he was on it, why he needed it along with the medication he was taking for addiction."
Brenna claimed she had showed his doctor photographs of Paul after he'd passed out in the hope he would take his drug abuse seriously and insists she tried to get his Slipknot band mates to stage an intervention but "none offered to help."
She made the claims during testimony at the trial at Polk County District Court in Iowa, after her husband was found dead at an Urbandale motel due to an overdose of prescription drugs morphine and fentanyl, which Baldi did not prescribe.
He denies nine counts of involuntary manslaughter and his lawyer claims he didn't prescribe the drugs that caused the deaths.

Robert Plant has ruled out a reunion show with Led Zeppelin.
The legendary frontman claims there is "zero" chance the band will come together for a live performance anytime soon, but guitarist Jimmy Page is confident fans would be keen for another show.
Jimmy told the BBC: "I'm sure people would love to hear it. I'm not the one to be asking, I don't sing."
The comments will come as a disappointment for fans who had hoped the group - also made up of Robert Plant, Jimmy Page and John Paul Jones - would do a repeat of their last big show at the 02 in December 2007, where they were joined by drummer Jason Bonham, son of the band's late John Bonham.

Ritchie Neville could smell that his girlfriend Natasha Hamilton was pregnant.
The 5ive singer and the Atomic Kitten star - who fell in love after appearing on ITV2 show 'The Big Reunion' last year - are expecting their first child together and before they knew Natasha was expecting, Ritchie sensed she was carrying a baby.
During a joint interview on ITV show 'Lorraine' this morning (23.04.14), he said: "I've got a little theory because I leant in [to kiss her] and I said, 'Have you used any baby lotion or something?' And she said, 'No why would I use that?' I said, 'Just in here [your neck] you smell like newborn babies.' She looked at me and I looked at her and said, 'You're not are you, you couldn't be [pregnant]?' It turned out she was."
Natasha has described her pregnancy as a "miracle" because she had numerous health issues which were affecting her ovaries in 2013 which could have resulted in her becoming infertile.
The 'Whole Again' hitmaker - who is already a mother to three sons, Alfie, Harry and Josh - revealed: "I had a lot of health issues last year with my ovaries and ended up in hospital. I was really poorly, I had a ruptured cyst and lots of pain and complications so the doctor spoke to me and said I may have to have my ovaries removed at some point which was quite a shock. In my head, I thought maybe that's why I had children young because in later life I was going to have health issues so it was just not on the radar, we weren't planning a baby and then when Rich was in Austria in January we had a little cuddle and..."
The baby will be Ritchie's first child and he insists his whole outlook on life has changed since he found out he is going to be a father.
He said: "It definitely is a life changer, even just on perspectives on the world and stuff, the world's a different place all of a sudden."

The 23-year-old beauty was catapulted to the spotlight following her time on the reality show and although she left the ITV2 series in 2011 she wants to make an appearance on the series in the near future.
In an interview with Star magazine, she said: "Never say never. I love the show and still watch it. When Lydia Bright turned up in the last series, my Twitter went mad with everything asking if I'll go back. I'll definitely do a cameo one day, maybe next year, I might shock everyone!"
Although there has been a lot of drama in Amy's life recently - with her being rumoured to have had a relationship with her married 'The Jump' co-star Darren Gough, a claim she has denied - she doesn't regret doing reality TV and claims she's excited about sharing her story with her children when she's settled down in the future.

Former 'Coronation Street' actress Sarah Lancashire says there is "ludicrous prejudice" against soap stars in the acting industry.
The 49-year-old actress portrayed barmaid Raquel Watts in the ITV series from 1991 to 1996 and although she was always proud to be a part of the show, she believes she had to work harder to stop herself from being typecast.
In an interview in Radio Times magazine, she said: "Soaps are a double-edged sword. There can be prejudice from some writers and producers who feel you will lower the currency of their work if you've been in one. You have to rise above such ludicrous prejudice.
"Sometimes it's necessary for soaps to hang on to an audience by sensationalising ... but it's a great arena to learn your craft before you move on. There's no such thing as a 'soap' actor."
Despite going on to forge a very successful and diverse career following her time on 'Corrie', the 'Happy Valley' star would be happy to appear in a soap again in the future.
Lancashire - who returned to the cobbles of Weatherfield for one more episode in 2000 - added: "I won't say I'd never go back to a soap because an actor's life is so precarious. You can have the most wonderful patch when everyone wants to work with you, and in the blink of an eye the phone won't ring for a month, even a year."

Jerry Bruckheimer says bad timing has set back the studio's efforts to make 'Bad Boys 3'.
The 70-year-old star - who co-produced the 1995 original which starred Will Smith as Detective Mike Lowrey - insists a sequel to the 2003 follow-up is in the works but due other commitments the studio and actors haven't been able to make the movie.
He told collider.com: "It's so funny because we'll get Sony real excited to make the movie, and then Will [Smith] is off doing two movies. And then, Will will come back and be real excited about it, and Sony will say, 'Well, maybe it's not the time for this.' And then, 'Ride Along' came out and was a big hit, and now they're all excited to make the movie, but Will is off doing something else. It's just trying to get everybody together to make it. But, we're working on the script. We have a lot of faith and hope that we'll do it."

Kris Jenner has been blasted by her sister.
The showbiz matriarch has "changed" and got caught up in a showbiz lifestyle, Karen Houghton has claimed, but her younger sibling doesn't think the 'Keeping Up with the Kardashians' star is happy.
Karen told RadarOnline.com: "I can't get to her anymore. But I guess it's the money.
"She's a huge celebrity and now she has changed. I'm not saying good or bad. But I've seen what it can do to Kris... ever since she moved to LA.
"I think my sister needs inner peace. She's not warm and fuzzy. She works so hard and making money, but is it making her happy? I don't know.
"I think she needs to laugh more. She's very serious."
Karen claims Kris - who split from husband Bruce Jenner last October after 22 years of marriage - has "isolated" herself from the rest of her family and she doesn't like her relatives telling her what they really think.
She added: "She's isolating herself from the family. I tried to reach out to her, but she's very aloof.
"I tell her like it is and she doesn't like it. If something makes me upset, I tell her. She doesn't like it because of who she is. I love her, but I tell her how I feel.
"I get p***ed off at her because she doesn't respond to me. If you think your sister would call you back, she doesn't. And it hurts me. I don't care how much money you have or who you are, you're my sister. I'm not afraid of her."

The 'Beverly Hills 90210' actress was left devastated when her husband confirmed he had cheated on her with Emily Goodhand and has admitted she is unsure whether they now have a future together.
Speaking after a joint therapy session on her new reality show 'True Tori', she said: "I know he's my soulmate. I know he's the love of my life. I also know he broke my heart."
Though she admitted she "still loves" Dean, Tori - who has children Liam, seven, Stella, five, Hattie, two, and 18-month-old Finn with her spouse - added that "this might not have a happy ending."
She also said: "I'm so scared we won't grow old together. That's my biggest fear."
