24 to simulcast in UK and US

'24: Live Another Day' will simulcast on Sky 1 at the same time as it airs in America.
The award-winning drama, which stars Kiefer Sutherland as counter-terrorist agent Jack Bauer, will return to screens next month and viewers in the UK can watch Jack's TV comeback - four years after the last season concluded - at exactly the same time as fans in the US.
The first two episodes will air on Sky 1 in the early hours of Tuesday, May 6, at 1am, following in the footsteps of Sky Atlantic's simulcast of the 'Game of Thrones' season four premiere.
'24' will then settle into its regular time slot of Wednesdays at 9pm, with the double-bill premiere airing once again on Wednesday, May 7.
Sky 1 director Adam MacDonald said: "I'm delighted that Jack and the team at '24' are returning exclusively to Sky 1 HD. The scale, ambition and fast-paced energy of the series epitomize everything we look for in a drama for the channel. I can't wait to bring it back to our customers."
'24' originally aired for eight seasons between 2001 and 2010 and was revived by US channel FOX last year for a brand new season consisting of 12 episodes.
Filming took place largely in London with Jack once again being joined by his trusty sidekick Chloe O'Brian (Mary Lynn Rajskub).
The new season will also star Benjamin Bratt, 'Dexter' actress Yvonne Strahovski and Stephen Fry as the British Prime Minister.

Jamie Lomas hits Kym Marsh’s boyfriend?

Jamie Lomas has been accused of attacking ex-wife Kym Marsh's latest boyfriend.
The 'EastEnders' actor faces police questioning over claims he punched personal trainer Matt Baker - who recently ended his relationship with 'Coronation Street' star Kym - in Manchester nightclub Panacea on Saturday night (05.04.14).
According to eyewitnesses, Matt, 24, was taken "completely by surprise" as Jamie, 33, confronted him and hit him. Matt then retreated upstairs in a bid to diffuse the situation, but the former 'Hollyoaks' star is accused of following him and tried to start another fight with Matt before security and staff intervened.
An onlooker told The Sun newspaper: "Jamie seemingly came from nowhere and managed to blindside Matt and hit him straight in the eye.
"Matt's a tough guy but it caught him completely by surprise. When he went to retaliate a group of guys stopped it.
"Matt decided to remove himself from the situation, but Jamie quickly followed and tried to punch him again. However staff stepped in and prevented it, reminding Jamie they had CCTV. Jamie seemed to disappear after that. Matt is still embarrassed and shaken and it's clear Jamie is not over Kym."
Jamie divorced Kym, with whom he has two-year-old daughter Polly, earlier this year.
'Corrie' star Kym, 37, called off her brief romance with Matt last week, insisting she wasn't ready for a serious relationship.

The Voice winner Jermain Jackman: ‘Anything is possible now’

The Voice winner Jermain Jackman says "anything is possible now".
The singer - who was raised in Hackney, east London - landed a £100,000 record deal with Universal Music after winning the BBC singing contest on Saturday (05.04.12) and he believes music gives people who live in "sink estates" an escape to something more "positive".
He told The Sun newspaper: "We live in a materialistic world - we want the big house, the big cars, loads of women. But people don't want to work hard for it. What's an easy way of getting money? Crime.
"For many kids, music can be their only hope of getting off the sink estates.
"Music is like a universal language and, in rough neighbourhoods, music is that way out to something more positive.
"There aren't many opportunities for kids in Hackney but I feel like anything is possible now."
Jermain - who beat Christina Marie, Sally Barker and Jamie Johnson to win 'The Voice' - wants to create a "new trend" and doesn't think music should be used to "glorify violence".
He added: "It's sad to see the way the music industry is going when you see Miley Cyrus and look at the type of music people are doing, and what the lyrics have to be to be sellable... let's create a new trend.
"I'll never glorify guns, violence or demean anyone."

He joked: "Patience, you must have."
The script has been co-written by Lawrence Kasdan and Abrams following a draft by 'Toy Story 3' writer Michael Arndt.

All Saints to record new music

All Saints are planning a big chart comeback.
The 1990s girl group - who had hit songs such as 'Never Ever' and 'Pure Shores' - recently reunited to support Backstreet Boys on the UK leg of their 'A World Like This' tour, but they are now set to release new music in a bid to rule the charts again.
A source told the Daily Mirror newspaper: "The girls have loved being back together again and this time around, being that much older and wiser, aren't taking any nonsense.
"They've had a few meetings with songwriters and management, and the feeling is there is still a gap in the market for a group like them.
"The plan is to get back in the studio in the summer and produce a handful of new tracks so long as they are all happy with the results, a single will be released at the end of 2014."
Billed as an edgier rival to the Spice Girls, All Saints - consisting of sisters Nicole and Natalie Appleton, Melanie Blatt and Shaznay Lewis - topped the UK singles charts on five occasions but split up in 2001.
The band initially made a comeback in 2006, but despite the success of their lead single 'Rock Steady' - which reached number three in the UK singles chart - their album 'Studio 1' was less successful, charting outside of the Top 40.

Royal ‘intruder’ explains actions

A ranting man who tried to enter Buckingham Palace thought he would be "welcomed" by Britain's Queen Elizabeth.

He told The Sun newspaper: "I wanted to speak with the queen and presumed the royal family would have welcomed me as their lost son."
The incident saw a Coldstream Guards soldier sprint 50 yards to confront the 23 year old and point a rifle and bayonet at him, but Odunaiya insists he wasn't scared, claiming the altercation began because he "told off" armed officers.
He said: "I was shouting louder and louder when the Guard came over and started shaking his gun at me. He didn't scare me.
"I said, 'You're a big boy now, are you?' and the Guard said, 'Yeah, I am a big boy' and shoved me away."
And the would-be intruder - who lives in London but says he hates Britain - later sent out a sinister tweet.
He wrote: "Why did you have to pull that Toy on me!?
"If I die! I will come back at you with no mercy. Last warning."

Chris Brown to miss DC hearing?

Chris Brown may miss his court hearing in Washington D.C. today (07.04.14).
The 'Fine China' hitmaker - who is accused of breaking Parker Adams' nose when he tried to insert himself in a photograph that the singer was taking with two female fans outside the W Hotel in Washington D.C. last October - is due to appear in front of a judge with his lawyer, Mark Geragos, in a bid to get all charges against him dropped but has still not arrived in the city.
According to website TMZ, he was taken from Los Angeles County jail cell on Thursday (03.04.14) by US Marshals to travel across the country and, after making multiple stops en route to pick up other prisoners, it is "unclear" whether the singer will make it to the hearing.
The lawyer will be in a the courtroom trying to get his client's case dismissed on grounds that prosecutors misused the grand jury system.
Prosecutors filed new court documents on Friday (04.04.14) in which they explained they are taking the case before a grand jury, as they believe they have the evidence to support a felony prosecution.
According to previous reports, they stated that the alleged victim's injuries were serious enough to require hospitalisation, which could be enough to get the charges upgraded and see the Grammy Award-winner face more significant time in jail.
If Mr. Geragos fails to have the charges dropped, Chris, who was jailed last month after violating his probation stemming from his assault on Rihanna in 2009, will be forced to remain in jail until the trial begins on April 17.
