Katy Perry and Robert Pattinson's friends want them to get together.
The 'Dark Horse' singer and the 'Twilight' star were seen spending the majority of their weekend together at the Coachella Valley Music and Arts Festival in California, having both split with their former partners, and friends of the pair are said to be rooting for them to get together.
A source said: "The pair had a fling a year ago but they went their separate ways after John [Mayer] wooed Katy back and Kristen [Stewart] made it clear that she still wanted her Twilight co-star.
"But things have gone cold with R-Patz and K-Stew since, with them both deciding it's time to move on."
Rob split from his long-term girlfriend Kristen last year when it was revealed she'd been having an affair with her 'Snow White and the Huntsman' director Rupert Sanders.
Meanwhile, Katy broke it off with her other half earlier this year and mutual friends are hoping that she and Rob will finally get together now their exes are out of the way.
The source told The Sun newspaper: "Katy and Rob are the best of friends with a very strong sexual chemistry. They care a lot about each other but have always been careful not to upset Kristen.
"But Kristen's off doing her own thing and accepting it's time for both of them to move on.
"Friends genuinely want to see them get it together properly. They think they bring out the best in each other."

Cameron Diaz believes in having more than one partner.
The 'Charlie's Angels' actress, who has dated fellow celebrities including Justin Timberlake and Jared Leto in the past, has confessed she thinks women expect too much from men in a relationship.
She said: "For some reason, we get into relationships and we expect one man to understand all the parts of us and meet all of those needs.
"I think that's where everything fails."
The 41-year-old star, who is currently single, was asked if she thought having more than one partner was better, to which she replied: "Why not? Why would that be so bad?"
Cameron - who is currently starring in 'The Other Woman' as a woman who has found out her boyfriend is married - also admitted she has lots of female friends who each satisfy different needs.
She told the Daily Mirror newspaper: "We can have all of these girlfriends, all of these friendships. I know with my girlfriends I do totally different things with each one of them.
"I have different conversations. We like things that others don't like.
"There are different commonalities in each one of them and when I want to do those certain things, I can go to that girlfriend and we do those things together."

Tilda Swinton hopes vampires will wear gloves in future films.
The 53-year-old actress stars in 'Only Lovers Left Alive' as blood-sucking Eve and while working on the film she insists the cast and crew wanted to use traditional vampire elements but incorporate their own twist which she hopes catches on.
She told collider.com: "This fancy dress was really fun to work out. Of course because we were creating these creatures that had to have a similar specialness there was a lot of working it out ... [We worked out] how we could look at vampire law, take what we liked and make some new stuff up. For example, a new piece of mythology that they wear gloves all the time. We are hoping new vampire films will incorporate these gloves things."
Swinton - who earned the Best Supporting Actress Oscar for her performance in 'Michael Clayton' in 2008 - recently revealed she struggled to get meaningful roles when she started her acting career and knew she would be "a bit off an outsider" until she got older.
She explained: "I was never going to be bimbo material. So I just kept my head down in my 20s. I had this strange instinct that I would only begin to start my real work in my 40s."

Indie band Dexters will support The Enemy next month at KOKO in London.
The London band, who have just wrapped up their UK tour, will join the 'Gimme The Sign' hitmakers in May and are thrilled with the reception to their debut album 'Shimmer Gold'.
Frontman Tom Rowlett told BANG Showbiz: "I'm really happy with the reaction, a lot of the online stuff and fans. I try not to look at reviews, though. But I did have an argument with one guy who told me it was better than 'Definitely Maybe' [Oasis debut]. I was like, 'Wow, thank you very much, I'll take that as a compliment, but it ain't'. Maybe our next album, will be but he was like, 'No, this one'. I just said, 'Alright, bruv'."
The band - also made up of Chris Heggie, Ben Debo and Vincent Dignan - finished their headline tour at The Garage in Islington with an incredible live set, which included new song 'Nature Of The Beast' along with fan favourites.
Tom continued: "It's building, you can see it everywhere we go, playing bigger venues, a lot of the shows are sold out, it's great. We're looking forward to supporting The Enemy and we also have a gig with the Kaiser Chiefs coming up."
He quipped: "I'm now hoping to making some money. We're still skint. It's not why I do it. But I just want to go bowling in between gigs ... get a few strikes."

Peter Andre has been lying to his son about the existence of the tooth fairy.
The 'Bad As You Are' singer has been dealing with a lot of questions from his son Junior, eight, about what happens when you lose a tooth and put it under your pillow, and so far he thinks he's been able to successfully trick him with his tales.
Writing in his column for new! magazine, Peter revealed: "Junior has started asking me questions about the tooth fairy lately. He said, 'My friend was left £2.50, but my tooth fairy only left me a pound. How can they be the same fairy? And I just told him there are different tooth fairies for different areas. I said, 'Plus, you don't want the £2.50 one, you want the traditional one pounder. They're great!' He seemed satisfied with that explanation ... for now!"
Peter has had Junior and his younger sister, six-year-old Princess Tiaamii - his two children with ex-wife Katie Price - staying with him before the Easter break and the trio have been indulging in lots of traditional chocolate treats.
The 41-year-old star - who also has three-month-old daughter Amelia with his fiancée Emily MacDonagh - is now unsure as to whether he should buy his kids Easter eggs for this weekend.
Peter added: "The kids and I are having a great time leading up to Easter. I had them over the Easter holidays last year, so this year they're with me for the two weeks before the holidays. And now the weather has started getting better, we've been spending most of the time playing outside. Junior and Bista love Cadbury's Creme Eggs but they eat them all the time, so when it comes to Easter I don't quite know what to give them! I love Easter eggs too. Me and chocolate have a good relationship!"
Meanwhile, Peter has announced he is releasing a new album.
The singer will bring out 'Big Night' on May 26 and the LP is influenced by the music of Elvis Presley and Stevie Wonder and will have big band and soul elements.
The highly anticipated album is comprised of 11 tracks all written by Peter and co-writer Stevie Appleton, and includes 'Kid' which was chosen to be the official song for DreamWorks animated movie 'Mr. Peabody and Sherman'.
Speaking about the record, Peter said: "I am so excited for you all to hear this new sound - it's so different and is the type of album that I have wanted to do for many years. Now is the time - enjoy 'Big Night'."

Cameron Diaz says Kate Upton is much more than just a woman with great breasts.
The 41-year-old actress stars opposite the Sports Illustrated model in 'The Other Woman' - where their alter-egos seek revenge on three-timing lover Mark - and although Kate is famous for being a beautiful model, Cameron insists she is "amazing", "smart" and "wise".
Speaking in Britain's HELLO! magazine, Cameron said: "Kate is the greatest - and what's behind the boobs is unbelievable. It's incredible how smart she is and how wise she is and how wise she is and how she sees everything. She doesn't miss a thing. She calculates everything so fast. She's like a bullet. She just shoots it right back and you are like, 'God bless you, you are amazing.' "
Cameron - who is also joined by Leslie Mann in the big screen comedy - doesn't like competition between women and doesn't believe in jealousy.
She explained: "You know what? I hate competition between women. I'm not a competitive person, I'm always about celebrating people. I want everybody to succeed and definitely, when it comes to other women, I want them to succeed. I don't believe in being jealous of other people for their beauty or their talent or their ability. That's just something I am not really into."
Kate, 21, recently claimed her life would be "so much easier" if she had smaller breasts because she wouldn't always have to wear a support bra.
She said: "I wish I had smaller boobs every day of my life as I would love to wear spaghetti tops braless or go for the smallest bikini designs. Every single day I'm like, 'Oh man, it would be so much easier,' especially if people didn't constantly bring them up."

Robert Pattinson and Liberty Ross narrowly escaped an "extremely awkward" encounter on Saturday (12.04.14).
The 'Twilight Saga' hunk and the British model, who were both left devastated when their partners, Kristen Stewart and Rupert Sanders, enjoyed a passionate affair in July 2012, were reportedly barely able to avoid one another at the second annual H&M Loves Music party at the Coachella music festival in Indio, California.
A source told E! News that the heartthrob, 27, and the 35-year-old brunette beauty, who filed for divorce from Rupert in January 2013, "didn't speak to each other, but both definitely saw each other."
The eyewitness said that the entire experience was "extremely awkward" for both Robert and Liberty, who has two children, son Tennyson and daughter Skyla, with Rupert.
But the source added: "He was cool, she was cool and they just kept moving along."
Robert attended the bash with a group of friends, including Katy Perry and fashion designer Alexander Wang.
The 'Water for Elephants' star ended his on-again, off-again romance with Kristen, 24, for good last summer, after reportedly discovering she was back in contact with her 'Snow White and the Huntsman' director Rupert.
Liberty, who began dating Interscope Records co-founder Jimmy Iovine in February 2013, previously admitted that the public breakdown of her 16-year relationship with Rupert was "horrible" but insisted that she was over him.
She said: "I have no words to describe what we went through. But I think, for me, something always has to completely die for there to be a rebirth. And I feel like I'm going through a rebirth."

Lindsay Lohan allegedly drank alcohol at the Coachella Valley Music and Arts Festival on Saturday (12.04.14).
The 27-year-old actress, who vowed to stay sober at the event at the Empire Polo Club in Indio, California after recently confessing to having "one glass of wine" since leaving rehab for the sixth time last summer, has been accused of consuming vodka with a group of friends, including her sister Aliana, 20, during Kid Cudi's set.
An eyewitness allegedly told InTouchWeekly.com: "She looked completely out of it. She couldn't stand up straight and she was frantically chain-smoking cigarettes. In one of her hands she had a plastic cup with a clear liquid in it.
"The group was standing in a small cabana, booth type thing and one of the friends was making regular trips to the bar. I overheard the friend order four vodka sodas and when he carried them back to the group. He handed one to Lindsay and she started drinking it. She didn't seem to care who saw and none of the group seemed concerned."
The 'Canyons' star's brother Michael recently admitted on her OWN reality series, 'Lindsay,' that he was worried about her sobriety.
He said: "My biggest worry is for a relapse. It scares me, it scares my family to death. This time I really hope is different. I just want her to be happy."
But sources close to the actress insisted last week that Lindsay was doing well and hadn't had a drink since her first slip-up.

Ice Cube has blasted the MTV Movie Awards for giving the Best Onscreen Duo trophy to Paul Walker posthumously.
The rapper believes the 'Fast & Furious 6' star, who died in a car crash in November, and his co-star Vin Diesel only won out of "sympathy" on Sunday night (13.04.14), and insists he and his 'Ride Along' co-star Kevin Hart were "robbed."
The 44-year-old actor told USA Today newspaper: "We was robbed. Shame on you, MTV."
He added: "We had the best chemistry of everybody nominated, for us not to win was crazy. We were the best onscreen duo, period."
Paul was also honoured during a special tribute led by his co-star Jordana Brewster at the star-studded event.
But Ice Cube claims he wasn't suggesting the late actor, 40, wasn't talented enough to receive the accolade, saying: "They should have gave it to him before he passed away."
The actor also left the ceremony, hosted by Conan O'Brien at the Kodak Theatre in Los Angeles, mid-show because he wasn't enjoying himself.
He said: "I just wasn't into it. I have been going in and out of these things for 25 years. If you ain't into it, why torture yourself? As soon as you get bored, get up and leave."
Shortly before the awards, he wrote on Twitter: "On my way to the MTV movie awards. If me and Kevin Hart don't win. The fix is in."

The 38-year-old star told the May issue of Health magazine: "We've decided that we are not really interested in having children. It seems like it's expected that you'd want to have kids."
She added: "It's just very normal for people to say, 'Well, when you guys have kids...' And then when I say, 'Actually I don't think we're going to do that,' people will say, 'Oh, you say that now...' It doesn't bother me, though. And, you know, there's a small chance I could change my mind."
Christina is a huge animal lover and would love to adopt another puppy soon.
She said: "We got a puppy, and that's my idea of starting a family. People say, 'Oh, that's practice for parenting,' but if it's practice for anything it's to be a mom to another puppy."
Meanwhile, the actress and her 'Body of Proof ' star husband, 36, are madly in love and help to motivate each other to stay in shape.
She said: "We used to share a trainer. Now I'll say something like, 'OK, we need to do push-ups every day,' and at any time in the day, I can make him get down and do them, or he can tell me to do them."
