Michael Fassbender felt vulnerable wearing giant head

Michael Fassbender felt "vulnerable" wearing a giant fibreglass head in his new comedy 'Frank'.
The '12 Years a Slave' actor, who plays tribute to musician Frank Sidebottom in the movie about an eccentric rock band, had to get used to wearing the giant prop in every scene.
He told The Guardian newspaper: "It was kind of weird in the beginning, the way it sits on your head. You feel a little bit vulnerable because you've not much peripheral vision. You can't hear that well either.
"But it's quite liberating as well, in the way that masks are. It's amazing how many emotions that face manages to convey. It can look vulnerable, it can look sinister, at times it looks confused."
He insists he eventually felt "comfortable" wearing the head and claims he decided to do the quirky film as a homage to Frank, the alter-ego of musician Chris Sievey, who passed away in 2010, even though he hadn't heard of the star, because he found the story funny.
He explained: "The script just made me laugh out loud. I thought there were also poignant moments there. It's a very unusual story, a real standalone. If it's refreshing to read, it's hopefully refreshing to watch."
'Frank', which also stars Maggie Gyllenhaal and Domhnall Gleeson, premieres at the Sundance London film and music festival today (25.04.14) and will be released on May 9.

Eve to have bachelorette party at Gumball Rally

Eve is to have her bachelorette party at the Gumball Rally.
The 35-year-old rapper - real name Eve Jeffers - and her fiancé Maximillion Cooper will take part in the 3,000-mile international motor rally, which will see them travel across two continents and five countries in seven days in separate cars, as part of the run-up to their wedding celebrations.
The couple met and fell in love at the London rally in 2010, so Maximillion, who is the founder of Gumball 3000, is pulling out all the stops by closing down Regent Street in London on June 8, before making a pit stop in Edinburgh, where he proposed to Eve last Christmas.
The couple will then travel on to Ibiza, Spain, for the finale party before tying the knot three days later.
Maximillion said: "The idea of driving 3,000 miles all the way from Miami to get to our wedding in Ibiza sounds pretty crazy, but we met on the Gumball back in 2010 when Eve participated as a celebrity guest of Puma.
"So incorporating the rally into our wedding plans seemed to be appropriate. I think the drama of this adventure suits our lives and driving together with 100 other supercars will undoubtedly be a lot of fun, especially as these six days will double up as my bachelor week!
"Incorporating Edinburgh into the route and stopping off in London just adds to the romanticism, having met in London and proposed on Christmas Day in Edinburgh ... I can't wait!"
Meanwhile, other celebrity stars taking part in the rally, which kicks off in Miami, are to be announced soon.

Cara Delevingne to star in Tulip Fever and Pan

Cara Delevingne is in talks for 'Tulip Fever' and 'Pan'.
The model is set to take on the role of Henrietta in the forthcoming Justin Chadwick-directed romance and will star opposite Dane DeHaan and Alicia Vikander, reports Deadline.com.
The 21-year-old beauty has also landed a "small role" in the latest re-working of J.M. Barrie's children's classic Peter Pan where she will join Garret Hedlund, who has been offered the part of Captain Hook while Hugh Jackman will play the villainous Captain Blackbeard.
Meanwhile, it has been announced that Amanda Seyfried is the latest A-Lister to join the star-studded cast and she will play Mary.
The story looks into the origins of Pan, an orphan who is taken to the magical world of Neverland where he goes into battle against the evil pirates and becomes a hero among the natives.
Delevingne made her movie debut as Princess Sorokina in 2012 romantic drama 'Anna Karenina' and last year she was cast as a party girl in British flick 'Kids in Love', a drama about a group of teenagers who enjoy crazy nights out in London, boozing till the early hours of the morning, and taking drugs.

Ray Fisher to star in Batman-Superman

Ray Fisher has been cast in the Batman-Superman movie.
The stage star has been tapped to take on the role of Cyborg opposite Ben Affleck and Henry Cavill in the as yet untitled superhero team-up flick.
The part of Cyborg, a member of the Justice League whose real name is Victor Stone, isn't a major one in the future blockbuster, but sources have told Variety that Fisher's part will become much more important over the next few years as Warner Bros. and DC Comics start making more films about the crime-fighting Justice League crew.
The all-star cast also includes Jesse Eisenberg, Gal Gadot and Amy Adams, with 'Man of Steel' helmer Zack Snyder directing from a script by David S. Goyer.
Fisher is known for his Broadway roles including his portrayal of Muhammad Ali in 'Fetch Clay, Make Man', and recently screen tested for J.J. Abrams' sci-fi epic, 'Star Wars: Episode VII'.
Cavill discusses the development potential of the Cyborg character in a bonus for the 'Man of Steel' DVD, explaining: "I think he would create an incredible bridge between superheroes and humanity."
The Batman-Superman feature is due in cinemas in May 2016.

Aerosmith: There’s no reason to record ever again

Aerosmith drummer Joey Kramer thinks there is "almost no reason" for the band to ever release another album.
The 63-year-old musician claims records don't make any money and the 'Crazy' hitmakers would have to pay for it themselves.
He told Ultimate Classic Rock: "It would be great to make another record, but it's almost [like], 'Why bother?'
"Records don't sell, and they don't do anything. There are no record companies to pay for it, so you have to pay for it out of your pocket.
"Especially with us now, because we're a free agent - we're no longer with a record company."
The drummer insists the band - also made up of Steve Tyler, Tom Hamilton, Joe Perry and Brad Whitford - used to make money from selling records but their last album, 2012's 'Music from Another Dimension!' didn't do as well as expected and their income now comes from touring the world.
He continued: "Artistically, it would be fun to make another record and it would be a beautiful thing if we can put it together.
"There's almost no reason to do it, you know, judging from the last one and how it went over.
"It's frustrating, because personally I think it's a really good record. It's an Aerosmith record and it was done the way we used to do them."
But he claims certain things held it back, including the state of the music industry at the moment.
Joey added: "Music now is so disposable. It's so, like, 'Okay, here it is and five minutes later there's something else'. We're not the Justin Biebers and the Nicki Minajs of the world, so unfortunately, records don't make sense."

Lily Allen: I need to apologise to Rita and Cara

Lily Allen is planning to apologise to Rita Ora and models Cara Delevingne and Jourdan Dunn over songs on her new album.
The 'Hard Out Here' hitmaker, who is about to release her new record 'Sheezus', appears to hit out at the stars by joking about celebrities who attend corporate events.
According to the Daily Mirror newspaper, she said: "I still need to write letters to Rita Ora and Cara Delevingne.
"The song where I appear to slag off Rita and Jourdan is very much the same premise as Cheryl Tweedy. It's not about them, it's about the idea of them."
Meanwhile, the 28-year-old star, who has made her comeback after a four-year hiatus, was copied into harsh emails about her new material from a focus group when her record label carried out market research for her new album.
She told Pop Justice: "I accidentally got copied in on a whole bunch of it and reading it was one of the most horrible moments of my life.
"They don't actually tell the people what it is that they're listening to. So a lot of it was just people going, 'Is this Lily Allen? It f****ng is Lily Allen', 'If this is her I thought she'd fucking retired, the stupid ****!'"
She insists she found the bad feedback, which she received six months ago, "totally unhelpful" for her career.
Lily added: "The thing is, people who take part in market research: are they really representative of the marketplace? Probably not."

The Libertines to headline British Summer Time

The Libertines will headline Barclaycard presents British Summer Time Hyde Park.
The indie band have confirmed they will reunite for the London concert on July 5, supported by Pogues, Spiritualized, Maximo Park and The Enemy.
The band posted on their Facebook page today (25.04.14): "It's official... THE GOOD SHIP ALBION IS SETTING SAIL SOONER THAN YOU THOUGHT. We're HEADLINING BST Hyde Park, 5th July."
Frontman Pete Doherty previously hinted the band would play the gig after admitting he is suffering "financial difficulty".
The musician hopes the large sum of money he will receive for reforming with co-frontman Carl Barât, drummer Gary Powell and bassist John Hassall will help clear the huge debt he accumulated after discovering he had fathered an 18-month old daughter.
According to musicharger.com, Pete - who already has son, Astile and daughter Aisling from previous relationships - told an Israeli newspaper: "I'm in debt. It's very complicated for me to say 'No' right now, I have financial problems."
The group also teased their appearance at the festival by posting a picture of Hyde Park to their Facebook page.
Despite splitting up in 2004 following arguments in the band, The Libertines - formed in 1997 - temporarily reunited to play at Reading and Leeds festivals in 2010 and received praise for their performances.
Metal band Black Sabbath, Sir Tom Jones, Neil Young and Crazy Horse, The National, McBusted, Little Mix, The Vamps and the Backstreet Boys will also play British Summer Time taking place between July 4 and 13.

Harry Styles has bird poo facials to clear acne

Harry Styles has been having bird poo facials.
The One Direction star has been having droppings rubbed onto his face as part of an intensive course of treatments, traditionally known in Japan as the Geisha facial, in a desperate bid to clear up his acne before the group's world tour begins.
A source told the Daily Star newspaper: "Harry's been having a bird poo facial everyday in the run-up to the tour. He doesn't want to be as spotty as he's been in the past. He's really struggled with his skin over the years."
It's thought Harry heard about the unusual treatment - made with powdered excrement from a nightingale bird, rice bran and water - through his tattoo artist, Freddy Negrete, who assured the singer that the facial is a favourite with Hollywood stars such as Angelina Jolie and Brad Pitt.
While the facial is said to have an unpleasant smell, the coveted treatments can cost anywhere from £100 a session and its thought the 20-year-old hunk is seeing positive results already as the formula also includes toning and anti-wrinkle agents.
The source added: "So far [Harry's] happy with the results. It's given him a really glowing look."
Harry and his bandmates Niall Horan, Zayn Malik, Liam Payne and Louis Tomlinson will kick off their 'Where We Are' world tour at the El Campin Stadium in Bogotá, Colombia, tonight (25.04.14).

Model files $11m lawsuit against 50 Cent

50 Cent has been hit with an $11 million lawsuit from a model who has accused him of ruining her career.
Sally Ferreira claims the 38-year-old rapper lost her work and caused her emotional distress by branding her a "thirsty video b**ch" on Instagram.
The 'Candy Shop' hitmaker took to his account after photographs from a music video shoot for 'Big Rich Town', which was shot on board a train in The Bronx, New York, on March 23, were leaked online.
The photos showed 50 up close and personal with Ms Ferreira, which led to speculation that the pair were dating.
The rapper, real name Curtis Jackson, accused the brunette beauty of leaking the photographs herself and claimed she was bragging that she was dating him.
He wrote on March 27: "WARNING: Do not attempt to work with this thirsty Video b**** [Her name is Sally Ferreira and she's a model...] she sent photos Of the video shoot to Mediatakeout Saying I'm in a relationship Withher Cananyone say RESHOOT (sic)"
The lawsuit, obtained by the New York Daily News newspaper, states Ferreira lost a number of work projects after the Instagram post, which was deleted a few hours afterwards.
Her lawsuit claims: "Before the defamatory posting, Ms. Ferreira was working on three separate entertainment industry projects and enjoyed a good reputation in the industry.
"As a direct and proximate result of the defamatory posting and the subsequent media fallout and negative publicity surrounding Ms. Ferreira, as of the date of this filing, all three projects have been put indefinitely on hold.
"Moreover, as a direct and proximate result of Mr. Jackson's actions, Ms. Ferreira has been subjected to harsh and hurtful comments about her profession, character, and appearance, causing her severe emotional distress."

Johnny Depp buys Amber Heard Ernest Hemingway book for birthday

Johnny Depp splashed out £125,000 on a limited-edition book for Amber Heard's birthday.
The 50-year-old actor forked out on the massive sum on a rare Ernest Hemingway short story collection called 'In Our Time' to mark his fiancée's 28th birthday on Tuesday (22.04.14).
The 'Pirates of the Caribbean' star also bought his literature-loving partner several 18th Century poetry books and a leather-bound diary, taking the grand total of his expenditure up to £140,000.
A source told The Sun newspaper: "Johnny's head-over-heels in love with Amber and isn't scared of grand gestures to show just how much he appreciates her. He went all out for her birthday, sourcing rare books that she'd had her eye on for quite some time.
"He then went with her to pick them up at the shop, making out that it was a complete surprise that they happened to have them in stock."
The lovebirds, who got engaged earlier this year after meeting on the set of 'The Rum Diary', were spotted snapping up the vintage tomes in New York City, before heading to the exclusive Bowery Hotel.
Johnny is said to have pulled out all the stops to give Amber an evening to remember, arranging for roses to be laid out in their suite and a string quartet to play in the background during dinner.
The insider added: "Johnny's so crazy about Amber that people in his inner-circle wouldn't be very surprised if they had already married in secret and just don't want to announce it officially yet."
Johnny separated from his long-term partner Vanessa Paradis, the mother of his children Lily-Rose, 14, and Jack, 11, in the summer of 2012, and has been smitten with Amber ever since.
