Harry Styles has been having bird poo facials.
The One Direction star has been having droppings rubbed onto his face as part of an intensive course of treatments, traditionally known in Japan as the Geisha facial, in a desperate bid to clear up his acne before the group's world tour begins.
A source told the Daily Star newspaper: "Harry's been having a bird poo facial everyday in the run-up to the tour. He doesn't want to be as spotty as he's been in the past. He's really struggled with his skin over the years."
It's thought Harry heard about the unusual treatment - made with powdered excrement from a nightingale bird, rice bran and water - through his tattoo artist, Freddy Negrete, who assured the singer that the facial is a favourite with Hollywood stars such as Angelina Jolie and Brad Pitt.
While the facial is said to have an unpleasant smell, the coveted treatments can cost anywhere from £100 a session and its thought the 20-year-old hunk is seeing positive results already as the formula also includes toning and anti-wrinkle agents.
The source added: "So far [Harry's] happy with the results. It's given him a really glowing look."
Harry and his bandmates Niall Horan, Zayn Malik, Liam Payne and Louis Tomlinson will kick off their 'Where We Are' world tour at the El Campin Stadium in Bogotá, Colombia, tonight (25.04.14).
50 Cent has been hit with an $11 million lawsuit from a model who has accused him of ruining her career.
Sally Ferreira claims the 38-year-old rapper lost her work and caused her emotional distress by branding her a "thirsty video b**ch" on Instagram.
The 'Candy Shop' hitmaker took to his account after photographs from a music video shoot for 'Big Rich Town', which was shot on board a train in The Bronx, New York, on March 23, were leaked online.
The photos showed 50 up close and personal with Ms Ferreira, which led to speculation that the pair were dating.
The rapper, real name Curtis Jackson, accused the brunette beauty of leaking the photographs herself and claimed she was bragging that she was dating him.
He wrote on March 27: "WARNING: Do not attempt to work with this thirsty Video b**** [Her name is Sally Ferreira and she's a model...] she sent photos Of the video shoot to Mediatakeout Saying I'm in a relationship Withher Cananyone say RESHOOT (sic)"
The lawsuit, obtained by the New York Daily News newspaper, states Ferreira lost a number of work projects after the Instagram post, which was deleted a few hours afterwards.
Her lawsuit claims: "Before the defamatory posting, Ms. Ferreira was working on three separate entertainment industry projects and enjoyed a good reputation in the industry.
"As a direct and proximate result of the defamatory posting and the subsequent media fallout and negative publicity surrounding Ms. Ferreira, as of the date of this filing, all three projects have been put indefinitely on hold.
"Moreover, as a direct and proximate result of Mr. Jackson's actions, Ms. Ferreira has been subjected to harsh and hurtful comments about her profession, character, and appearance, causing her severe emotional distress."
Johnny Depp splashed out £125,000 on a limited-edition book for Amber Heard's birthday.
The 50-year-old actor forked out on the massive sum on a rare Ernest Hemingway short story collection called 'In Our Time' to mark his fiancée's 28th birthday on Tuesday (22.04.14).
The 'Pirates of the Caribbean' star also bought his literature-loving partner several 18th Century poetry books and a leather-bound diary, taking the grand total of his expenditure up to £140,000.
A source told The Sun newspaper: "Johnny's head-over-heels in love with Amber and isn't scared of grand gestures to show just how much he appreciates her. He went all out for her birthday, sourcing rare books that she'd had her eye on for quite some time.
"He then went with her to pick them up at the shop, making out that it was a complete surprise that they happened to have them in stock."
The lovebirds, who got engaged earlier this year after meeting on the set of 'The Rum Diary', were spotted snapping up the vintage tomes in New York City, before heading to the exclusive Bowery Hotel.
Johnny is said to have pulled out all the stops to give Amber an evening to remember, arranging for roses to be laid out in their suite and a string quartet to play in the background during dinner.
The insider added: "Johnny's so crazy about Amber that people in his inner-circle wouldn't be very surprised if they had already married in secret and just don't want to announce it officially yet."
Johnny separated from his long-term partner Vanessa Paradis, the mother of his children Lily-Rose, 14, and Jack, 11, in the summer of 2012, and has been smitten with Amber ever since.
Mariah Carey spends £28,000-a year-grooming her pet dogs.
The '#Beautiful' hitmaker - who is worth around £290 million - regularly pampers her eight pet pooches by booking them into canine salons and gets them the best animal treatments so they look their best and are happy.
A source told the Daily Mirror newspaper: "Mariah pays for all the spa therapies herself and doesn't expect any special treatment. Only her dogs get that.
"While prices start at £40 for a simple trim, other treatments are extra and Mariah's dogs really seem to enjoy their wraps and full body massages.
"She pays for her doggies to travel with her first class on a whim. And when they can't she will check them into doggy day care at salons Chateau Marmutt, Barkingham Palace or Pour La Pooch. She also employs a designated chauffeur to ferry them to and from at around £400 a time."
Mariah's favourite treatment to get for her mutts is the popular blueberry facial, which originates in Los Angeles, and is supposed to exfoliate and reduce fur stains.
The source explained: "She will always get the animals groomed before travelling - she likes them smart at all times.
"As well having them bathed and blow dried, Mariah is also very keen on the latest LA trend for canines - blueberry facials."
Mariah - who has two-year-old twins, Moroccan and Monroe, with her husband Nick Cannon - is said to be "obsessed" with the way her dogs smell following their treatments and is delighted they help reduce wrinkles.
The source added: "She's obsessed with how they smell after one.
"The facials are also great for getting rid of doggy wrinkles, so everyone's a winner."
Pauline McLynn has joined 'EastEnders' as Charlie Cotton's mother.
The former 'Father Ted' actress - best known for playing long-suffering housekeeper Mrs Doyle in the hit sitcom - has been cast in the role of Yvonne Cotton.
Pauline will be introduced when soap stalwart Dot Branning (June Brown) makes a "surprising discovery" and seeks answers about her grandson, played by Declan Bennett.
Pauline commented: "It is a thrill to join 'EastEnders', my favorite soap, and in particular any chance to be part of a Dot Cotton storyline is not to be passed up - June Brown is a legend and I feel privileged to act with her."
Executive producer Dominic Treadwell-Collins added: "I have always been a little in love with Pauline McLynn so I'm so excited that she's joining the Cotton family. It was about time Albert Square had another Irish character and I know that viewers are going to both love and be intrigued by Yvonne Cotton."
The Cotton family has been reinvigorated in recent months following the shock news that Dot's dastardly son Nick Cotton fathered a secret child, Charlie.
Charlie arrived in Albert Square in March to inform Dot her son had died, but viewers have seen him behave suspiciously regarding his father's death, leading fans to believe all is not as it seems.
Niall Horan is worried he won't get enough sleep before One Direction's 'Where We Are' stadium tour begins tonight (25.04.14).
The 20-year-old star pleaded with fans outside his hotel in Bogota, Colombia, to "keep the noise down" in the early hours of Friday morning so he can get enough rest before the 'You and I' heartthrobs perform the first show on their 69-date tour.
He wrote on Twitter: "Big day tomorrow! Gona try and get some sleep! Gona be hard!
"I honestly think this hotel is made of paper! Haha! It feels like the people outside are in my room haha! Not a chance of sleep tonight
"Guys! May I ask you to keep the noise down please ! All of our crew are tired! and we have a big day tomorrow! Don't want to sound angry !
"Thank you ! Much appreciated ! Big day for all tomorrow! Love you lots! Goodnight! Xxx (sic)"
Niall's desperate bid for sleep came after he and his bandmates - Harry Styles, Zayn Malik, Liam Payne and Louis Tomlinson - had a "long day" of rehearsals putting the final touches on their stadium show.
He wrote: "Just done a couple of final run throughs of the show! Can't wait now! Been a long day and the fans have been incredible in bogota! Much love (sic)"
The final 'Hobbit' movie has been renamed 'The Hobbit: The Battle of the Five Armies'.
Director Peter Jackson has revealed the final instalment in his epic fantasy trilogy, which is due for release in December, will not be titled 'The Hobbit: There and Back Again' as he no longer finds the name appropriate following his decision to expand the original pair of 'Hobbit' of films into a trilogy, much like his earlier 'Lord of the Rings' films.
In a statement on his Facebook page, Jackson explained: "'There and Back Again' felt like the right name for the second of a two film telling of the quest to reclaim Erebor, when Bilbo's arrival there, and departure, were both contained within the second film. But with three movies, it suddenly felt misplaced--after all, Bilbo has already arrived 'there' in the 'Desolation of Smaug'.
"When we did the premiere trip late last year, I had a quiet conversation with the studio about the idea of revisiting the title. We decided to keep an open mind until a cut of the film was ready to look at. We reached that point last week, and after viewing the movie, we all agreed there is now one title that feels completely appropriate.
"And so: "The Hobbit: The Battle of the Five Armies" it is."
'The Battle of the Five Armies' refers to the epic conclusion of 'The Hobbit', which features a huge war among the various characters and creatures featured in the mythical series.
Brenda Blethyn turned down 'I'm A Celebrity... Get Me Out of Here!' because she can't live without luxury.
The 68-year-old actress - who plays DCI Vera Stanhope in detective drama series 'Vera' - has been asked to rough it in the jungle, but despite her relatives urging her to go on the reality series, she didn't accept.
She told Closer magazine: "I've been asked to do 'I'm A Celeb...' All my nieces and nephews said, 'Go on, Aunty Brenda, do it!' If there was a bathroom and nice, cotton sheets, maybe!"
One thing Brenda wouldn't be worried about if she did head Down Under is looking good.
The BAFTA-winning actress thinks modern society is too focused on beauty and looking good, something she wouldn't waste too much of her time on.
She said: "I think we're obsessed with glamour full stop. I wouldn't say I'm glamorous, but I want to look nice. The thing I find a bit odd is people altering their body surgically.
"I care what I look like, but I don't care how Vera looks - I'm not vain about how I appear on screen! Vera is a bit of a scruff. She lives on a remote part of the coast, where the way to survive is to be clever with layering. She's practical and doesn't look in the mirror very often."
Bryan Singer has hit back at "sick and twisted" claims he sexually abused a 15-year-old boy.
The 'X-Men: Days of Future Past' director has broken his silence on a lawsuit filed last week by Michael F. Egan, 31, who claims he was forced to perform sex acts on the filmmaker at a Californian house party in the late 1990s after being plied with drugs and alcohol.
As a result of the allegations, Bryan, 48, has decided to bow out of the upcoming media tour to promote his blockbuster new 'X-Men' movie, which stars a string of A-listers including Hugh Jackman, Jennifer Lawrence and Halle Berry.
In a statement issued through his publicist, Bryan said: 'The allegations against me are outrageous, vicious and completely false.
"I do not want these fictitious claims to divert ANY attention from 'X-Men: Days of Future Past'. This fantastic film is a labour of love and one of the greatest experiences of my career. So, out of respect to all of the extraordinary contributions from the incredibly talented actors and crew involved, I've decided not to participate in the upcoming media events for the film."
As well as strenuously denying the sex abuse claims, Bryan believes the lawsuit filed in Hawaii by Michael is a "shake down" for money.
He added: "I promise when this situation is over, the facts will show this to be the sick twisted shake down it is. I want to thank fans, friends and family for all their amazing and overwhelming support."
In a lawsuit filed last week, Michael's attorney alleges the Hollywood director performed sex acts on the then teenager and forced him to do the same.
It's also claimed Bryan promised the young aspiring actor a movie role and regularly met Michael for sexual liaisons at the ages of 15 and 16, and they took multiple trips to Hawaii when he turned 17.
Justin Bieber was detained for several hours at LAX airport in Los Angeles yesterday (24.04.14).
The Canadian pop star was held by customs and immigration staff upon his return to the country after visiting Japan, but officials insist his detainment was "routine" following his legal troubles, such as an arrest for Driving Under the Influence (DUI) in January.
A source told UsMagazine.com: "It was a routine secondary set of questioning that Justin has to go through now every time he comes back in the country because he's a foreign national. It's standard, especially after he has had other legal issues in the US in the past."
Justin's detainment comes a week after the White House responded to a petition seeking to deport the 'Confident' star back to his native Canada.
The White House said in a statement: "Sorry to disappoint, but we won't be commenting on this one. We'll leave it to others to comment on Mr. Bieber's case, but we're glad you care about immigration issues. Because our current system is broken. Too many employers game the system by hiring undocumented workers, and 11 million people are living in the shadows."
Justin was briefly detained by officials at New Jersey's Teterboro Airport in February when he flew in from Canada for the Super Bowl.
The star's private plane was searched for drugs after receiving an anonymous tip-off and he was questioned.
Justin was forced to apologise for any offence caused earlier this week after he visited the Yasukuni Shrine in Tokyo, Japan.
The shrine honours Japan's war dead, but is a controversial site as it also recognises several World War II war criminals.
Damon Albarn took heroin "for years" in the recording studio.
The Blur frontman, who claims the drug helped him to be "creative", admits he took it for a number of years during the band's height of fame and took it five days a week.
He told GQ Magazine: "I used to go to work and take heroin in the studio and then stop when I came home.
"That's why I say it's five days a week and two days off, and that's how I existed for several years."
The singer, who will release his debut solo record 'Everyday Robots' this month, also hinted he took it with Gorillaz music partner Jamie Hewlett when they were working on new music.
He explained: "We probably wouldn't have been able to create a record like that unless Jamie and I were, um, somewhat in our own worlds."
But the star insists his days of taking heroin are over and he prefers to focus simply on his music.
He added: "I still like a night out, but I certainly don't do heroin. I haven't done that for a very long time.
"Music is a compulsion with me. And God help me if I smoke any weed, I'm fucked - I'll just make more music."
Kelly Clarkson hopes her daughter will "laugh a lot".
The 'Stronger' hitmaker is expecting her first child with husband Brandon Blackstock and made a wish on her 32nd birthday yesterday (24.04.14) that her baby will make motherhood easy for her.
She tweeted: "It's my birthday!!!! For my birthday I have asked my unborn baby girl to sleep through the night and laugh a lot when she comes out 🙂 (sic)".
And the baby is sure to laugh a lot as Kelly's friend Martina McBride recently admitted she thinks the singer will be a "fun" mother.
The country star said: "She's really fun. Kelly's outgoing and very direct and I feel like she's be a fun mom.
"She has a really good head on her shoulders and she's a strong person. I think that will be good for her and her child as well."
The 'Breakaway' singer married Brandon, who has two children from his first marriage, Seth, seven, and Savannah, 11, in a low-key ceremony in Tennessee last October, and shortly afterwards she admitted she couldn't wait to get pregnant.
