Men arrested near Britain’s Duke and Duchess of Cambridge

Two men have been arrested in Australia for "acting suspiciously" just metres away from Britain's Duke and Duchess of Cambridge.
Prince William and Duchess Catherine were enjoying the first full day of their tour of Australia today (17.04.14), after arriving in Sydney yesterday afternoon (16.04.14), with a visit to the Blue Mountains, but local police officers were forced to detain two men who were said to be "acting suspiciously" just metres away from the royal couple.
Although William, 31, and Catherine, 32, did not appear to notice the disturbance, witnesses said they saw the two men get within 10 metres of the couple before being stopped, searched and detained by officers who ordered them to remove their clothing just as the royal car pulled away.
The New South Wales Police Force later confirmed in a statement that they had stopped and spoken to two men, aged 37 and 21, who were allegedly "harassing members of the crowd".
The Duke and Duchess of Cambridge were visiting the mountains to meet people who lost their homes in a tragic firestorm which caused bush fires to sweep through the region, destroying hundreds of homes, six months ago.

Britain’s Prince of Wales’ gardening tips in new book

Britain's Prince of Wales' gardening tips will be revealed in a new book.
'Highgrove: A Garden Celebrated' will take readers inside the gardens of Prince Charles and his wife Duchess Camilla's country home in Gloucestershire, south west England and offer tips on how to recreate certain features, such as the Sundial and Carpet gardens, at their own homes.
The new book - which comes with photographs of the house and garden - is a joint project authored both by the Prince of Wales himself and landscape architect Bunny Guinness, who helped to build the gardens up from nothing.
The 65-year-old royal has spoken about the increasingly industrialised approach to gardening and farming and confessed he prefers more traditional methods.
He told the Daily Telegraph newspaper: "I minded terribly the more I though about things, the endless use of chemicals and in the long term felt that this was unsustainable.
"I wanted to restore lost habitats and plant lots of hedgerows and trees to heal the landscape."
The heir-to-the-throne added that he will continue to dabble in his hobby until he is no longer able.
He said: "I have put my heart and soul into Highgrove and I will continue to do so while I can ... My enduring hope is that those who visit the garden may find something to inspire, excite, fascinate or soothe them."

Bryan Singer accused of abuse

Bryan Singer has been accused of sexually abusing a 15-year-old boy.
The 'X-Men: Days of Future Past' director has been named in a lawsuit which was filed in Hawaii yesterday (16.04.14) which claims he first preyed on Michael F. Egan, now 31, at a Californian house party in the late 1990s, where under-age youngsters were allegedly plied with drugs and alcohol and "taken advantage of".
The suit claims: "Defendant Singer told plaintiff how 'this group' controls Hollywood. Singer masturbated plaintiff and then performed oral sex upon him. Defendant Singer solicited plaintiff to perform oral sex upon him, which plaintiff resisted...
"Singer flagrantly disregarded plaintiff's unwillingness to submit, and forced plaintiff's head underwater to make plaintiff perform oral sex upon him. When plaintiff pulled his head out of the water in order to breathe, defendant Singer demanded that he continue which plaintiff refused.
"Defendant Singer then forced plaintiff to continue performing oral sex upon him outside of the pool, and subsequently forcibly sodomised plaintiff."
Jeff Herman, the accuser's attorney, told the New York Daily News newspaper: "The stories that I've heard of what went on at the estate are truly despicable."
The attorney for the alleged victim - who is heterosexual - claims the filmmaker promised his client, an aspiring actor, a role in a movie and they had "numerous" sexual encounters when he was 15 and 16, and they took multiple trips to Hawaii when he was 17.
Marty Singer, a lawyer for the director, claimed the suit - which sees Egan seek damages in excess of $75,000 for "catastrophic psychological and emotional injuries" - is an "obvious attempt to get publicity."
He added in a statement: "The claims made against Bryan Singer are completely without merit. We are very confident that Bryan will be vindicated in this absurd and defamatory lawsuit."

William Roache to return to Coronation Street after murder storyline

William Roache will return to 'Coronation Street' in August and become involved in the Tina McIntyre murder storyline.
The 81-year-old actor - who hasn't been seen in the soap since last April - will reprise his role as Ken Barlow this summer just after the beautiful barmaid (Michelle Keegan) is tragically killed off by a fellow resident.
The upcoming murder is set to be a traumatic time for the Barlow family as a number of Ken's relatives - including his son Peter (Chris Gascoyne), adopted daughter Tracy (Kate Ford) and daughter-in-law Carla (Alison King) - are all high suspects in the chilling case.
An insider told The Sun newspaper: "Ken's return coincides with one of 'Corrie's biggest-ever plots and he will have to face a number of people closest to him being implicated in the murder."
William was written out of the soap last year after he was arrested and charged with four counts of sexual assault and two counts of rape against girls under 16 between 1965 and 1971.
However, the star was cleared of all charges this February and is looking forward to filming again in June.
The insider explained: "It has been a long time coming. He has had an extended break following his court case and can't wait to start filming."
William's comeback will also coincide with the return of Charles Lawson, who has agreed to reprise his role as Jim McDonald for a three-month stint.
A source said: "'Corrie' bosses are really looking forward to Charles Lawson coming back for a short amount of time -- and his character Jim will play a key role in the drama surrounding Tina's death."

Helen Flanagan to have own reality show?

Helen Flanagan is set to have her own reality TV show.
The 23-year-old model, who is dating footballer Scott Sinclair, is being lined up to have her own fly-on-the-wall programme, which will focus on her life as a WAG and her attempts to launch her own underwear range.
A source told the Daily Star newspaper: "Several satellite channels are keen to work with her on the project.
"Helen has been trying to focus primarily on her acting, but it seems she can't escape reality TV.
"Bosses are beginning to think she's ready to accept this may be where her real future lies.
"And she puts most of her life online anyway so letting cameras in should be a piece of cake."
Meanwhile, the former 'Coronation Street' beauty, who left the show in 2012 insists she won't be reprising her role as Rosie Webster on the ITV soap anytime soon.
She said: "I'm not going back. Well, not that I know of. I mean, maybe I'd like to go back in the future but it's not actually been that long since I've left.
"I'd obviously love to get back into acting and I really do enjoy my modelling."

Rylan Clark auditions for Xtra Factor

Rylan Clark has auditioned for 'The Xtra Factor'.
The 25-year-old comedian and presenter Laura Whitmore, 28, are being lined up by producers to take over hosting duties from Caroline Flack and Matt Richardson on the 'X Factor' spin-off show later this year.
A source told the Daily Mirror newspaper: "It's a pretty stressful time, because Laura and Rylan have been screen tested but obviously, that makes it look like Caroline and Matt could be for the chop.
"The final decision isn't made until the last minute - Olly Murs [who hosted 'The Xtra Factor' from 2011 until 2012] only found out he had the job just days before he started filming. So it's quite tense, as it's a big deal."
Rylan, who shot to fame after appearing on 'The X Factor' in 2012, impressed bosses after taking over from Emma Willis on 'Big Brother's Bit on the Side' last year.
Meanwhile, Laura made her mark after taking over presenting duties from Caroline on the spin-off show 'I'm A Celebrity... Get Me Out of Here! NOW!' in 2011.
However, Caroline and Matt could still make a return to the ITV programme later this year as no firm decision has been made as of yet.
A production source explained: "We're looking at what this year's series will look like but it is far too early to say what changes might be made.
"Matt and Caroline are great presenters and could still return as we haven't made any decisions yet."

Ian Beale comforted by Phil Mitchell in EastEnders scenes

EastEnders' Ian Beale is consoled by enemy Phil Mitchell following the death of his daughter Lucy.
The distraught father - played by Adam Woodyatt - is comforted by unlikely friend Phil (Steve McFadden) after the 20-year-old businesswoman (Hetti Bywater) is brutally murdered this week, and the whole cast were left sobbing just listening to the actors film the emotional scene.
The BBC One soap's producer, Dominic Treadwell-Collins, said: "Grief changes people and changes relationships. It changes Ian and Phil's relationship. Ian and Phil are the biggest enemies in the world. Phil Mitchell hugs a crying Ian Beale and starts to cry himself."
Adam admits Steve broke down "twice" and he didn't realise he was crying until after they'd shot the heart-breaking scene.
He explained: "We couldn't even read the script, we couldn't do a line run, some scenes I don't even think we rehearsed for."
Laurie Brett, who plays Ian's ex-wife Jane, revealed she was moved to tears listening to Adam and Steve.
She said: "Myself and Leticia Dean [Sharon Rickman] were in the kitchen part of that set while Steven and Adam were doing that scene.
"We couldn't even see it but we could just hear it. The emotion ... we were crying and we couldn't even see it. It's the one that put me right on my a**e, quite frankly. It was just brilliant."
Lucy will be found dead in tomorrow night's (18.04.14) episode, and Adam has compared the storyline to TV crime thriller 'Broadchurch', which gained 9.3m viewers during its finale in April last year.

Mel B’s social workouts

Mel B works out with her friends.
The 38-year-old star - who has daughters Phoenix, 14 and Angel, seven, from previous relationships, and Madison, two, with husband Stephen Belafonte, and is also step-mother to her husband's daughter Giselle - sees getting in a shape as a "social thing" and loves inviting her pals to her home to watch her favourite reality TV shows while exercising.
She told Australia's OK! magazine: "I look at working out as more of a social thing.
"I have a great gym here at home. A few of my friends come over and we put on c**p TV and we have a good old giggle."
However, the former Spice Girls singer admitted her healthy intentions don't always last the evening.
Speaking about one night working out with friends, she said: "We were watching 'The Real Housewives of Atlanta'...we worked out for an hour and a half and had cocktails after.
"I don't know if the workout really counted, but it made sense to me."
In the interview, Mel also revealed she keeps in shape with Salsa dancing and running outdoors in "beautiful" Sydney.
She also said she views training as a much-needed break from family life.

Jack Osbourne selling home

Jack Osbourne is selling his Los Angeles' home.
The 28-year-old star - who has 23-month-old daughter Pearl with wife Lisa Stelly - is listing his restored Spanish-style villa in Los Feliz for $2.998 million, meaning he will make a small profit if it sells for the asking price.
The property - which Jack bought in 2011 for $2.82 million -was built in 1926 and has kept its authentic architecture, including wrought iron banisters, interior archways and high ceilings, wooden beams and a central courtyard with pool and stainless steel outdoor kitchen.
The 4,810 square foot space also includes four bedrooms and four bathrooms, as well as a basement, living and dining rooms, and a family room with floor-to-ceiling bookshelves.
There is also a separate guesthouse with its own kitchenette.
Jack adores his family life with Lisa and Pearl, and recently spoke of how much he enjoys watching his daughter walk around their home pretending to be her mother.
He said: "She likes putting on her mom's jewelry, walking around with handbags and she loves putting bras on.
"It's really funny. She'll go and grab one of her mom's bras and gets angry if you don't put it on her."

Thandie Newton shares first picture of son Booker Jombe Parker

Thandie Newton has shared the first picture of her newborn son Booker Jombe Parker.
The 'Crash' actress tweeted an adorable picture of her cradling her one-month-old baby, her third child with her director husband Ol Parker, alongside the caption, 'Happy holidays.'
This is the first time Thandie has shared a full image of Booker with the world since his birth on March 3. She previously shared a snap of the baby's tiny hand gripping her gold necklace.
The tiny tot - who has two older siblings, Ripley, 13, and Nico, nine - was born at her home with the help of an independent midwife.
The 41-year-old star posted on Twitter at the time: "Our baby boy is finally here! Booker Jombe Parker. Born joyously at home yesterday."
Thandie recently admitted she found it hard working on police drama 'Rogue' while she was pregnant.
She said: "Basically, I had two options; to withdraw from the show which would have meant the show collapsing, or to commit regardless.
"I'd seem actresses takes on meaty un-pregnant roles while carrying babies - Jodie Foster in 'Panic Room'.
"My agent also reassured me that both Claire Danes and Anna Paquin worked well into their first pregnancies. So - it was all going to work out just fine wasn't it?"

Ultimate Warrior’s wife says fans have given her ‘strength’ since his death

The Ultimate Warrior's wife says her husband's fans have filled her with "strength" since his death.
Dana Warrior has made an online post expressing her gratitude for the countless messages of support and condolence she has received from admirers of the legendary WWE wrestler since he passed away from a heart attack caused by cardiovascular disease on April 8 aged 54.
The post, entitled "A heartfelt message from Ultimate Warrior's wife, Dana Warrior", on WWE.com read: "To all the ULTIMATE WARRIOR fans: THANK YOU!! He told me when he shook the ropes it was him gathering strength from each of you. Warrior respected you and loved you as do the girls and I. I will reach out to the ropes for your strength to sustain me in the sad days that the girls and I face. UNWAVERING is what you've been. GRATEFUL is what we are. (sic)"
Dana also spoke of the "ultimate love" she and her spouse shared throughout their 15-year marriage and described the former WWE Champion as the "ultimate dad" to their two daughters Indiana and Mattigan.
She revealed: "I had the ULTIMATE love for 20 years and my children learned to be Warriors from THE ULTIMATE DAD. I wouldn't trade a moment of the life we shared, good or bad, for anything on God's green earth. He is the love of my life and gave me the gift of our beautiful, sweet, amazing girls. He was loyal and kind and strong and brave. He taught me to live by his creed, "Live Strong, Act Bold, Be Brave. Nothing's too hard to do, ALWAYS BELIEVE," and with that creed I will carry on and make him proud. (sic)"
Dana also thanked the WWE (World Wrestling Entertainment) for everything they have done for her and her children since her husband died.
She wrote: "I was told it was reported WWE was "there" for us. "There" is the understatement of a lifetime. They were a warm blanket to us three and we were quickly absorbed into their family. Words are cheap; promises are forever. This family is one I'm honoured to be a member of. (sic)"
Before his passing, The Ultimate Warrior - who was born James Hellwig but legally changed his name to Warrior - had made his return to WWE television after an 18-year absence when he was inducted into the company's Hall of Fame on April 5.
He then appeared at 'WrestleMania XXX' on April 6 at the Superdome in New Orleans and on TV show 'RAW' the following night (07.04.14).

Anna Paquin to cameo in X-Men: Days of Future Past

Anna Paquin will cameo in 'X-Men: Days of Future Past'.
The 31-year-old actress who plays Rogue, a mutant with the ability to absorb the abilities of anyone she touches, will feature alongside A-Listers, Hugh Jackman (Wolverine), James McAvoy (Professor X), Michael Fassbender (Magneto), Jennifer Lawrence (Mystique) and Halle Berry (Storm).
20th Century Fox told BuzzFeed: "Essentially, [it's] a cameo."
It was previously revealed that the actress was cut from a scene where she's held prisoner by mutant-hunting Sentinel robots since there was an abundance of sequences which were more necessary.
Director Bryan Singer said: "Through the editing process, the sequence became extraneous.
"It's a really good sequence and it will probably end up on the DVD so people can see it. But like many things in the editing process, it was an embarrassment of riches and it was just one of the things that had to go.
"Unfortunately, it was the one and only sequence Anna Paquin was in, the Rogue character was in. Even though she's in the materials and part of the process of making the film, she won't appear in it."
Paquin last hit the big screen in last year's American crime drama 'Free Ride'.
