Prince William and Duchess Catherine have low-key celebration

Britain's Duke and Duchess of Cambridge enjoyed a low-key wedding anniversary yesterday (29.04.14).
The couple - who have nine-month-old son Prince George together - celebrated three years of marriage but had no plans to mark the milestone in a big way as they are still recovering from their 19-day tour of Australia and New Zealand, from which they returned at the weekend.
Instead, a royal spokesperson said they would celebrate "privately" and it is believed they spent the day with Duchess Catherine's parents.
Although couples traditionally exchange leather gifts on their third anniversary, it was recently revealed Prince William gave his wife - who was known as Kate Middleton before her marriage - a luxury watch as an early gift to mark the milestone.
The duchess wore the Cartier item - which is worth £3,600, made of stainless steel and embedded with a sapphire - every day on their Australasia tour.
Last year, the couple spent their wedding anniversary apart, with Catherine - who was then six months pregnant - visiting a children's hospice and William away on duty in north Wales as an RAF search and rescue pilot.
They spent their first anniversary at a friend's wedding, before spending the night at a £164-a-night pub.

Prince Harry too skinny for cycling

Britain's Prince Harry joked his butt was too small for cycling yesterday (29.04.14).
The 29-year-old royal paid a visit to wounded troops at Tedworth House recovery centre in Tidworth, Wiltshire where he met with applicants wishing to represent the British Armed Forces team in the Invictus Games - a Paralympic-style international competition for injured military veterans - and watched them in training for three of the eight events.
After having a brief try at a static handbike, he declined a challenge to try out a recumbent bike used by amputee servicemen.
Patting his backside, he laughed and said: "I haven't got the padding for it."
Harry, who watched training sessions for wheelchair rugby and rowing, as well as the cycling, later gave a speech wishing the hopefuls luck.
He said: "I have seen how powerful sport is as a means of rebuilding confidence as well as aiding with physical rehabilitation.
"These men and women are fighters by nature. The intense physical training and competitive spirit that will be forged inside this team as they prepared to represent their country in the Invictus Games will, I hope go some way to helping the recovery not only of those who hope to be selected here today, but also inspire others along the way."
Among the people who Harry met at the event was Royal Marine Don Maclean, 36, who lost his right foot and ankle when he stepped on a roadside bomb in Afghanistan three years ago, and is hoping to compete in both wheelchair basketball and cycling.
He said: "Cycling has become a massive part of my rehabilitation.
"I wouldn't be at the stage I'm at now without it."
The prince - who recently split from girlfriend Cressida Bonas - also watched Jonathon 'Frenchie' Le Galloudec win a rowing machine race, but after the former soldier asked him to try his hand, he declined.
So far, 182 people have applied to be part of the 100-strong British team, and more are expected to before the final contestants are selected in July and August.
They will compete against 12 other nations at Queen Elizabeth Olympic Park from September 10 to 14.

Jake Wood: Jo Joyner will be back in ‘a few years’

Jake Wood thinks Jo Joyner will return to 'EastEnders' in "a few years".
The actor, who plays Max Branning in the BBC One soap, has predicted his former on-screen wife - who quit her role as Tanya Jessop last year - will come back eventually.
Jo decided to leave the Walford-based soap after seven years to spend more time with her family and take on different acting roles.
Jake told Inside Soap magazine: "I don't think it will be for a few years at least. Personally, I'd love for Jo Joyner to come back as I always enjoyed Max and Tanya's relationship. But she's doing so well with other stuff.
"I joked that if she returned before three years were up, I'd leave! She needed a proper break, time to be a mum and pursue other things. But I look forward to the day that she and Tanya come back."
Jo, who now stars in Sky Living comedy 'Trying Again', recently claimed Tanya's numerous dramatic storylines left her feeling "drained".
She said: "It's tiring. The people in soap work so hard and the fans are so faithful. It's relentless.
"It's a great gig and I'm really grateful for my time there but it is a big machine. You're churning out 20-odd scenes a day, whereas on a normal drama you'd do five or seven."

Skins to return as online drama

'Skins' bosses are in talks about resurrecting the show.
The hit E4 drama about a hedonistic group of teens from Bristol could be revived in the form of an online drama, just one year after its final episode aired.
Creator Bryan Elsley told RadioTimes.com: "Discussions are under way with a number of parties."
The show had three different casts over the course of its seven series, with popular characters including Tony (Nicholas Hoult), Effy (Kaya Scodelario) and Frankie (Dakota Blue Richards), and Bryan revealed the show would once again be centred around a whole new generation of friends.
He said: "Any reimagining of Skins would be from the ground up, a reimagining of the whole thing. Today's youth are very different from what they were when 'Skins' started."
Bryan is hopeful the technological advances of the modern world will offer an interesting new platform for the programme by the time plans come to fruition.
He explained: "The thing about the modern world now is that the future is neither film nor television series, not platform, nor not platforms. It is about collaboration, co-production and the internet.
"Somehow that equation has got to be worked out and I think it will be worked out quite quickly. Whether it will be worked out in time for 'Skins' I don't know."
Bryan co-created the series with his own son, Jamie Brittain, but confirmed he wouldn't be returning to produce this time around.

Amy Kelly: Corrie lesbian kiss was daunting

Coronation Street's Amy Kelly found her first lesbian kiss "daunting".
The young actress joined the ITV soap last year as Sophie Webster's new girlfriend Maddie Heath and she admits she was nervous about locking lips with stunning Brooke Vincent.
However, Amy has praised Brooke for easing her into the steamy scenes and says the pair have become close.
She told The Sun newspaper: "I'm not a lesbian and it was a bit daunting at first. But just before we filmed it, Brooke said, 'Do you want me to kiss you first?' And I said, 'OK', because she's been doing it on screen for years.
"And we had to film that one scene so many times that by the end of the day I'd got used to it.
"Now it doesn't bother me - I get on so well with Brooke it's not weird any more."
Amy is still a college student and has to juggle her role in 'Corrie' with her A-levels in art, photography and theatre studies.
She said: "It is hard, but I've only got a couple of months left until my exams."
The youngster is also coming to terms with her newfound fame and is often stopped in the street by fans asking if she's a lesbian in real life.
Amy explained: "The most frequent questions I'm asked are, 'Are you really a lesbian?' 'Is Brooke really a lesbian?' 'Have you met Michelle Keegan?' and 'Can I have Michelle's phone number?' The answers are 'No, no, yes and no!' "
