J.B. Gill gets married to long-term girlfriend

J.B. Gill got married yesterday (03.05.14).
The former JLS singer tied the knot with his long-term girlfriend Chloe Tangney at a lavish ceremony at Mount Stuart country house on the Isle of Bute in Scotland.
However, that wasn't his only celebration as he also became an uncle to his younger brother's newborn baby son, who was welcomed into the world on the same day.
Taking to his Twitter account this morning (04.05.14), he wrote: "happiestmanontheplanet...I became a husband yesterday to the most beautiful wife @chloetangney and an uncle to a gorgeous nephew!!x (sic)".
Meanwhile, J.B.'s former bandmates Aston Merrygold, Marvin Humes and Oritsé Williams witnessed the couple becoming husband and wife and they later took to their Twitter accounts to congratulate the pair on their big day.
Marvin wrote: "Huge congrats 2my bro @JBGill & his beautiful wife @ChloeTangney an amazing wedding day,so proud (sic)".
Aston added: "@JBGill @ChloeTangney AMAZING that's all that can be said! Hopefully a life filled with even more happiness and joy! Always love x (sic)".
Security teams patrolled the grounds as guests arrived at the venue in cars with black-out windows and they also stood guard during the romantic ceremony.
It is believed guests had booked in to stay at the nearby Chandler hotel after the wedding reception, according to the Scottish Daily Record newspaper.
Meanwhile, J.B. - who has quit singing to concentrate on his farming career - popped the question to Chloe in January after five years of dating.

Jessica Simpson to have ‘big’ wedding

Jessica Simpson is having a "big" wedding.
The 33-year-old star has been planning her special day since her fiancé Eric Johnson popped the question back in November 2010, and she wants lots of people present at the lavish ceremony to witness them tying the knot.
Speaking to USA Today, she explained: "I've been very picky on how I want everything to look and feel.
"Eric's family alone is almost 90 people, so it'll definitely be a big event."
The blonde beauty, who has daughter Maxwell, two, and ten-month-old son Ace with Eric, has remained tight-lipped on when their nuptials will take place, but it appears her big day is soon approaching as she's getting ready to send out the wedding invites to her friends and family.
She said: "We are very close to sending out our invites."
Meanwhile, the singer hasn't released new material since her 'Happy Christmas' album in 2010, so she wants to start focusing on her career again after the wedding.
She explained: "We're building a studio in our house. I bought a house from Ozzy Osbourne, so a lot of the studio was already set up. I want to see what comes out. It's time for me to find that out, and I can't wait for my kids to experience that with me. Even Eric. He's never seen me perform onstage."
Jessica was previously married to Nick Lachey, 40, from 2002 until they divorced in 2006.

Amanda Seyfried has typecast concerns

Amanda Seyfried doesn't want to be typecast in romantic comedies.
The 28-year-old actress has starred in several romantic-comedies including 'Mamma Mia!' and 'Dear John' but has since tried to avoid those kinds of roles because she doesn't want to be known for those parts alone.
She told ELLE magazine: "If you make two romantic comedies, you're presumed to do just that."
The 'Mean Girls' star took on the role of real life porn star Linda Lovelace in the biopic 'Lovelace' last year and she admits she took the role very seriously because she wanted to give meaning to the story and prove she is a dedicated actress who can do varied work.
She explained: "I wasn't necessarily afraid of what the public would think of me. I wanted to validate her [Linda] existence and give the most positive version of her that I could.
"I mean, maybe I am tainted by it. But I feel like all that movie did for me was solidify my seriousness."

Kelis doesn’t want to compete with pop peers

Kelis doesn't feel she needs to "prove" herself any more in the music industry.
The 34-year-old singer - who released her new album 'Food' this month, her first on UK indie label Ninja Tune - doesn't worry about chart success anymore and is happily "out of the race" when it comes to competing with other pop stars.
She explained: "I have far-exceeded anything that I could possibly imagine in my career and I feel really blessed and really honoured to be upheld with such super, super, super, talented people.
"So that being said, I don't know if I'll ever stop, but I dropped out of the race a long time ago, know what I mean? I don't feel competitive at all. I don't feel the need to prove myself. I have proved myself far beyond - I could go on forever, you know."
The 'Milkshake' singer - who has a four-year-old son Knight with ex-husband Nas - feels "really grateful" to have had such a successful career and doesn't feel like she's "running on that rat wheel still".
She added to SPIN magazine: "Right now, my responsibilities are to be sane, happy, and blessed. I feel very blessed, I have a child who requires a rational, sane thinker. He deserves that, so I can't afford to care that much about things that don't actually deserve caring."

Samia Ghadie ‘happy’ with Coronation Street future

Samia Ghadie is "happy" to stay on 'Coronation Street'.
While the soap star - who plays Maria Connor in the show - admitted she hasn't agreed to a new deal yet, she insisted it is because her current contract is still going on "for a while".
Speaking to the Daily Star Sunday newspaper, she said: "Despite recent reports I've not signed a new contract.
"My agent hasn't rung me for a few weeks but I'm contracted for a while so we're not even at that stage yet.
"But I'm definitely happy there and am not planning on any drastic departure or anything like that."
She also admitted her character's recent behaviour with ex-boyfriend Tyrone Dobbs (Alan Halsall) has been a different change of pace for someone who is usually portrayed as a "victim".
Samia added: "Maria is obsessed with Tyrone and is thinkinig her life would have been all right if she'd just stayed with her first love.
"And, of course, it was Fiz who broke them up all those years ago. She started seeing Tyrone behind Maria's back so in some bizarre way she thinks she is taking back what's rightfully hers.
"Maria has always been the victim, so for her to go out there and cause all this trouble has been a real change to play."

Kym Marsh’s boyfriend caught in online sex chat?

Kym Marsh's boyfriend has reportedly been caught having web sex with an aspiring model.
The 'Coronation Street' actress is said to be "furious" after her partner Dan Hooper was allegedly caught having raunchy online video chats with another woman.
A source told The Sun on Sunday newspaper: "She will be furious about Dan having Skype sex with anyone.
"It's hard to see the relationship lasting much longer."
While Dan has reportedly insisted this happened before he and Kym got together, the newspaper claims there is a video of him with the April 19 episode of 'Britain's Got Talent' playing in the background.
It is also said the soap star's boyfriend is a fan of "celebrity sex tapes" and watched them while chatting to the unnamed model.
An insider said: "He liked celebrity sex tapes. Sometimes when they had Skype sex, which happened a number of times, he played Kim Kardashian's in the background."
The reports come after a rocky few weeks for the couple, with Dan's ex-girlfriend Stephanie Waring blasting Kym for dating her former flame.
She previously said: ""I'm shocked and upset. I can't believe Kym has done this to me. It is killing me. There is an unwritten rule that if you are friends with somebody you don't go near their ex partners."

Simon Cowell looked after son on his own

Simon Cowell has looked after his son on his own for the first time.
The media mogul - whose girlfriend Lauren Silverman gave birth to Eric in February - was "left alone" with his baby when she visited family in New York, and it is said he coped "really well".
A source told the Sunday Mirror newspaper: "Simon was a bit nervous about being left alone with Eric at first but in reality he has nannies to help, so it's not been too bad.
"He's actually risen to the challenge very well. When Eric has a tantrum he finds it very amusing - it sort of reminds him of being in the ['Britain's Got Talent'] judging panel."
Simon is a first-time father but he's settling into his new role despite having "never even held a baby before".
His friend and former girlfriend Terri Seymour recently said: "He's great actually. I mean he hasn't changed his lifestyle because Simon wouldn't.
"But he's very good. He'd never even held a baby before, so he was like, 'How do you hold a baby?'
"You have to remind him every now and then about the head... But he's really good and he loves it."

One Direction suing condom brand

One Direction are considering suing a condom brand for selling a range based on the group.
The US company has brought out the unofficial merchandise - which has the cheeky name 'One Erection - Up All Night' - and while the 'Story of My Life' hitmakers saw the funny side their management was less impressed.
An insider told the Daily Star Sunday newspaper: "The boys heard about the condoms and found them hilarious. They even joked about buying a few packets for a laugh.
"But their management team aren't seeing the funny side. They are considering bringing in lawyers to stop them shamefully exploiting the band to sell condoms.
"It's only a small US online firm so management weren't too concerned at first but they are still worried the range damages the group's image."
It is also reported that the band have rejected various offers from bigger brands to release their own range.
The source added: "What makes it worse is 1D have turned down various big-bucks offers to bring out their own official range.
"So they aren't happy someone else is cashing in on their sex symbol status."

Mollie King won’t go solo

Mollie King loves The Saturdays too much to try a solo career.
The blonde beauty has insisted she won't quit the girl group because she would miss having her band mates there to share every experience with.
She told the Sunday Express magazine: "I think I would have the guts to go it alone.
"But I just love doing it with the girls because, as much as you can call your mum when you get off stage, you can never explain the exact feeling.
"With the girls when you come off, you're all like, 'My God! Did you see that?' And that's something you'll never get if you're up there on your own."
Her dedication to the band even means Mollie is having to try to balance her career with a long-distance relationship.
She is living in the UK, while her boyfriend Jordan Omley is a producer in Los Angeles.
She explained: "We travel a lot to meet up but obviously we don't see each other every day.
"I live on Skype and FaceTime ... I do love it out there. It's such a nice lifestyle, isn't it?
"I love the people and the weather but my career is everything to me right now - and that's here."

Michelle Collins set for Strictly Come Dancing?

Michelle Collins is in talks to compete on 'Strictly Come Dancing'.
The former 'Coronation Street' actress could see her name value boost just in time for new casting opportunities and would give her a chance to spend more time with her daughter Maia in London.
An insider told The Sun on Sunday newspaper: "Michelle has said before that the show appeals to her - and the timing would be perfect as there is always a casting rush in January.
"'Strictly' would raise her profile just as that rush begins ... For Michelle, 'Strictly' also has the bonus that it is London-based. She left 'Corrie' because she wanted to be in London with her daughter, Maia.
"So the last thing she would want is another job that would take her away again. 'Strictly' would guarantee her three months in London."
Michelle has admitted in the past she would be happy to compete on the ballroom dancing show, even if her "competitive" streak led to a clash with the judges.
She said: "Never say never - out of all of [the reality shows] I'd do 'Strictly'. But I'm quite competitive and I don't like to fail at anything.
"I'm not a very good dancer and I wouldn't take being criticised by Craig Revel Horwood very well. I would probably end up punching him."

Charlotte Crosby learnt love life lesson

Charlotte Crosby learnt a lot about relationships during her new reality show.
The star - who recently filmed her own programme 'The Charlotte Crosby Experience' in four different communities across the world - admitted she was taught important life lessons about love.
She told the Sunday People newspaper's Sunday magazine: "I'm the type of person who, when I'm arguing with my boyfriend I think, that's it I'm finishing with him.
"But finishing with someone or getting a divorce is just not a question for the people I stayed with in India or Canada ... You look at all the great times you've had together and you don't just focus on the one bad time."
The 'Geordie Shore' star has made sure to bring her new attitude home with her and used it to solve arguments with her boyfriend Mitch Jenkins.
She said: "I had an argument with my boyfriend after the show, and I just said, 'Look, we'll speak when we speak, I need a couple of days to forget about it'.
"Normally I'll be on Facebook 'unfriending' him, but I haven't done that once in our whole relationship.
"But believe me there've been times where I've wanted to. I did delete all his photos off Instagram once but that was before I learned the life lesson."

Jason Sudeikis fainted during birth

Jason Sudeikis reportedly fainted while Olivia Wilde was giving birth.
The 38-year-old actor was determined to support his fiancée throughout her entire labour with their first son, Otis, in April but at one stage he passed out in the delivering room.
A source told National Enquirer magazine: "Jason was in the delivery room for Olivia, but witnessing and assisting in the birth suddenly became too overwhelming when he took one look at his child starting to be born, turned pale, mumbled something to a nurse and then went down for the count."
The 'We're The Millers' star was worried he had missed his son's arrival after regaining conscious, but was assured by two nurses that he hadn't and then stepped back into the fray to support Olivia, 30.
The source added: "Jason was totally fine from that moment on, endlessly tending to exhausted-but-ecstatic new momma Olivia and their bouncing baby boy."
The proud mother and father have been enjoying every aspect of parenthood so far, and have already enjoyed some hilarious moments with baby Otis.
'Drinking Buddies' star Olivia recently revealed that Otis peed on his own face whilst she was changing his diaper.
She wrote on Twitter: "Having an infant son alerts me to the fact that every man, at one point, has peed on his own face. #awesome (sic)"
