Tyra Banks was insecure teenager

Tyra Banks was very insecure as a teenager.
The supermodel started her own charity, the TZONE Foundation, to empower young women to discover their own strength and realise their ambitions, as she hated being teased for being too thin when she was younger.
She told People magazine: "Part of my desire to help these girls is because of my own insecurities at that age. The summer I was 11 years old, I lost 30 lbs in three months. It was the 1980s, during the Ethiopian famine, and I got a lot of comments.
"My school thought I was ill. It was a very painful time."
The 'America's Next Top Model' presenter was also branded "fat" in 2006 after photographs emerged of her looking more curvaceous in a swimsuit on the beach.
She explained: "Who would have thought that the girl who was once forced to go to hospital because she was too skinny would one day be called too fat?
"I lived both of those."
Meanwhile, the former's Victoria's Secret model believes the entertainment and fashion industries often perpetuate a negative image that women need to be extremely thin to be considered beautiful.
She said previously: "The skinnier a lot of actresses are, or singers are, or celebrities are, they tend to get a lot of coverage. A lot of, 'Oh, she's such a fashion darling, look at her, let's take her picture as she goes shopping, let's put her on the cover of our magazine.'
"The fashion industry has a very narrow definition of what beauty is - specifically now, it's a size 0 [or] 00."

Kaley Cuoco to cleanse Khloe Kardashian’s old home

Kaley Cuoco wants to cleanse Khloe Kardashian and Lamar Odom's old marital home.
The actress and her new husband Ryan Sweeting, who bought the former couple's home for $5.5 million in LA shortly after they split in December, is on a mission to clear the plush property of bad vibes.
A source told In Touch weekly magazine: "They hired a feng shui expert to restore the positive energy. Kaley doesn't want their future affected by anything left behind."
The 'Keeping Up with the Kardashians' star and her estranged husband ended their four-year marriage last year amid claims Lamar cheated on Khloe with multiple woman and had an addiction to drugs.
However, the brunette beauty had a tough time moving out of the home in Tarzana after she discovered while packing up her belongings earlier this year that expensive jewellery had been stolen from the premises.
Khloe then went on to purchase Justin Bieber's old home in gated community The Oaks in Calabasas, California, and is currently renovating the whole mansion.
The 29-year-old star has hired famed interior designer Martyn Lawrence Bullard to help her decorate and has already removed a skateboard ramp that the 'Baby' hitmaker had installed on the property.

Queen Latifah doesn’t have ‘Hollywood’ life

Queen Latifah doesn't have a "Hollywood" lifestyle.
The chat show host insists she leads a simple life and spends a lot of time taking care of her mother Rita Owen - who was diagnosed with scleroderma, an incurable autoimmune disease that may cause scar tissue to build up on the lungs, last year - and taking her to see doctors.
She said: "There's nothing Hollywood about me when it comes to my family. I didn't hire people. I'm very involved with Mom's care. I talk to the doctors, I talk to the nurses, we discuss the findings, we discuss options."
She added to People magazine: "I love that lady. We've gotten so close this year, with everything we've been going through. She takes care of me. And now I can take care of her. I'm really thankful I can be there."
However, the 44-year-old actress hasn't always maintained a strong outlook on life as she previously admitted she was "rocked to the core" when her brother, Lancelot Jr., crashed a motorcycle, which she gave him, and died in 1992.
She said: "I think I got to that place by not being happy with the other side -- hating your body and criticising yourself all the time. When I was around 18, I looked in the mirror and said, 'You're either going to love yourself or hate yourself.' And I decided to love myself. That changed a lot of things."

Vicky Pattison wants to be better role model

Vicky Pattison is trying to be a better role model for young girls.
The 26-year-old star - who is known for her partying and no-nonsense attitude on reality TV series 'Geordie Shore' - has admitted she's trying to set a good example for her young fans who look up to her.
Speaking exclusively to BANG Showbiz, she said: "I know I'm starting to become more aware of young girls tweeting me saying I'm an inspiration. They find my weight loss inspirational, they find how strong I am ... but it's a big responsibility.
"Whether you want to accept that or not, I do strive to behave in a good way most of the time."
The brunette beauty confessed that despite trying her best to be a good role model, she feels herself and other celebrities are unfairly expected to do so.
She explained: "I think Miley Cyrus, Rihanna and reality TV stars in the UK or America, we didn't set out to be role models, we set out to do things we enjoy and Miley Cyrus is quite clearly having a good time, as is Rihanna, as are all of us.
"Some people have that role thrust upon them when they don't really want it, and it's tough."
Vicky's new show 'Ex on the Beach' airs on Tuesdays on MTV.

Lorde hits out at ‘stalker’ photographer

Lorde has claimed a photographer has been "stalking" her.
The 17-year-old singer took to her Twitter account last night (03.05.14) to accuse Simon Runting of violating her privacy and subjecting her to fear.
The 'Royals' hitmaker shared a picture of the photographer along with the caption: "this man has been stalking me, photographing me and refusing me privacy. i am scared of him. he frequents central akl (sic)".
She added: "this should not be an accepted standard for young women or anyone in this industry (sic)".
She then posted a link to his private Facebook page before admitting that being photographed regularly comes with being famous, but she won't be frightened in the process.
She tweeted: "i refuse to stay complicit and i refuse to stay passive about men systematically subjecting me to extreme fear.
"i understand that this comes with the territory. i do not understand why I should be complacent. (sic)".
It is not known what sparked the online rant from Lorde, but this isn't the first time the photographer has angered a star.
Last year, Rihanna, 26, blasted Mr. Runting after he took photographs of her standing in her hotel room in Auckland, New Zealand, wrapped in a blanket.

Candace Cameron-Bure ‘loves’ her body

Candace Cameron-Bure "loves" her body.
The 38-year-old actress, who previously suffered with bulimia, admits she's learnt to accept her figure and believes she's in better shape now than when she was 20.
She said: "I've grown to love my body and I'm very happy with it. I'm confident with my body and at my age, not that I'm super old! But I feel like I look better now than I ever did in my 20s. I love my body."
The former 'Full House' star believes her children Natasha, 16, Lev, 14, and Maksim, 12, whom she shares with her husband Valeri Bure, have helped her achieve the body she wants because they've kept her active.
She explained: "I enjoy playing sports with my kids. It's just affected my body, so I love the way it looks now.
"It's self-confidence, but I've also gotten more in shape than in the past even 10 years since I had my kids."
Meanwhile, the blonde beauty revealed her battle with her eating disorder in her book 'Balancing It All' when she admitted getting married at the age of 20 and her sitcom ending spurred on her unhealthy habits.
According to the Huffington Post, she wrote: "That really was the time of identifying with being an actress and that being my whole life, and then now being someone's wife and moving to a new city, a new country even. I turned to food for comfort and had to find a different source, because clearly it wasn't a healthy way to deal with things."

Kim Kardashian and Kanye West are married

Kim Kardashian and Kanye West have reportedly got married.
The couple, who got engaged in October, allegedly tied the knot in a private ceremony in Los Angeles this weekend after securing their marriage license last week.
A source told Life & Style magazine: "Kim and Kanye are now married on paper. They got their license in California over the past few days."
However, the secretive ceremony won't be their only wedding as it is set to be followed by a lavish extravaganza in Paris later this month in front of all their family, friends and celebrity acquaintances.
The loved-up duo - who have 10-month-old daughter North together - are set to walk down the aisle on May 24 before jetting off to a secret location on honeymoon.
Kim, 33, and Kanye, 36, were forced to legally wed in California before their romantic bash in Paris after it was revealed the French law requires a strict 40-day residency before they can get married in the country.
However, the pair are determined to make their Parisian wedding an experience their 200 guests will never forget, so have hired the Trianon Palace Hotel for them to stay in.
A source said previously: "Guests will be greeted with goodie bags containing £300 bottles of Bollinger champagne, £120 Creme de la Mer products, handmade souvenir trinkets with Kim and Kanye's initials etched in Swarovski crystals, bottles of scent from local perfumeries and £150 vouchers for treatments at the hotel spa."

Peaches Geldof argued with husband four days before death

Peaches Geldof had an argument with her husband over her "obsession" with heroin addict Elliott Smith just four days before her death.
The 25-year-old star was spotted rowing with Thomas Cohen on a train into central London over the amount of songs she had on her phone by the American singer, who committed suicide 10 years ago, according to the Sunday Mirror newspaper.
Passengers onboard the train at the time claimed Peaches turned to her husband and said: "Look, I can't believe all my songs on here are Elliott's."
The S.C.U.M rocker then snapped back: "For f***s sake, what is your obsession with that man!"
The blonde beauty replied with: "Look, I'm married to you. Stop getting so jealous. We've got two kids together for f***'s sake. What more of a commitment do you think there can be. Don't be so jealous."
The couple, who have sons Astala, two, and Phaedra, one, together, then sat in silence for 10 minutes before Thomas, 23, got off the train at London Bridge, while Peaches continued her journey to Charing Cross.
A passenger told the paper: "It looked like the sort of row any married couple would have, neither acted that badly."
However, just four days after their bust-up, Thomas found Peaches' dead body "slumped" over the bed at their home in Wrotham, Kent, England on April 7.
An inquest heard last week that heroin "likely" played a role in her death after the highly addictive drug was found in her system following a recent toxicology test.

Adam Levine dyes hair platinum blonde

Adam Levine has dyed his hair platinum blonde.
The Maroon 5 frontman, 35, took his Twitter account last night (03.05.14) to announce that he's ditched his natural brown locks for an eye-catching peroxide blonde style.
The hunky star posted a picture of his new look, with his fiancée Behati Prinsloo looking over his shoulder, which he accompanied with the caption, "Apocalypse prep course complete (sic)."
However, it appears Adam has received some negative feedback on his new image as he later tweeted: "I hope people understand that when they say my hair looks creepy i take that as the highest compliment (sic)."
Meanwhile, Adam and Behati have been busy planning their wedding after the singer popped the question last July in Los Angeles after a year of dating.
It is believed the couple are considering having two weddings as they want a ceremony in California - where they live - and one in Behati's native Namibia, Africa.
A source said previously: "He [Adam] went back and forth about having the wedding in Behati's native Namibia or in Los Angeles, where they live. Behati's parents would love for the wedding to be in Africa, but they understand that it is a major trek for all of their friends."

Jordin Sparks lost weight for health

Jordin Sparks lost 50lbs to improve her health.
The 'One Step At A Time' hitmaker, who now fluctuates between 155 to 161lbs, decided to lose weight because she was fed up of feeling sluggish and unwell.
She said: "I had gotten really sick. And I was about to celebrate my birthday and I was like, 'I should be in the prime of my life right now. I shouldn't be feeling like this. I really need to make my health a priority'."
The 24-year-old singer, who lost weight by changing up her diet and adding more exercise into her lifestyle, insists she never felt pressurised into shedding the pounds because she was happy with how she looked beforehand.
She explained on the 'Today' show: "I was comfortable with how I looked before, but it was about really focusing on become healthier.
"And then my body changed, which was awesome. But it wasn't about being a size zero, or anything like that."
Jordin, who has been dating Jason Derulo for over three years, hopes she can encourage other women to look in the mirror and love their bodies as well.
She said: "I know that there are some women who struggle to even look themselves in the mirror. And I hope that those women who are struggling can watch this and go, 'You know what? I'm OK with who I am. And I'm beautiful in my own way'."

Minnie Driver didn’t want daughter

Minnie Driver is glad she doesn't have a daughter.
The 'About a Boy' actress, who has five-year-old son Henry from a previous relationship, is pleased she hasn't had to deal with a girl because she fears parenthood wouldn't have been very pleasant for her.
Speaking to the Daily Mail newspaper, she said: "I'm so grateful I don't have a girl because when I was young I put my parents through hell. I was conniving, manipulative, emotionally challenged - you name it."
The brunette beauty insists she's a fairly relaxed parent but encourages Henry to have good table manners.
She explained: "I think we English eat more politely than Americans, so I insist that he eats nicely ... I am a stickler for good manners when he's around food. His American friends have a burger in hand, they're dropping ketchup all over the furniture, eating with their mouths open, sometimes standing on a chair, and I don't put up with that with Henry."
Minnie, 44, has even been asked by her friends to help teach their children the importance of good manners.
She said: "My friends' kids are sent to my house to learn how to eat! Their parents say, 'Can you make my kid have good manners like Henry?' I say, 'Sure, send them round here to dinner'."

Kate Hudson to marry ‘sooner rather than later’

Kate Hudson would like to get married "sooner rather than later".
The 35-year-old actress admits she has no plans to tie the knot with her beau Matt Bellamy as of yet, but she'd definitely like to get hitched in the near future.
Speaking to 'Extra', she said: "We still don't have any plans to get married, but eventually we will... probably sooner rather than later."
However, the blonde beauty - who has 10-year-old son Ryder from her marriage to Chris Robinson and two-year-old son Bingham with Matt - has already ruled out this summer for kick-starting her wedding plans because both she and Matt, who have been engaged for three years, are too busy with their globe-trotting careers at the moment.
When asked how she finds time to plan her wedding, she said recently: "You don't [have time to plan a wedding with a busy career], which is why I'm not [planning my wedding].
"We got a busy summer. We're really looking forward to it. I'm shooting a movie and so you know, we're doing a bunch this summer."
Meanwhile, the 'Something Borrowed' star - whose four-year relationship with the Muse frontman has been the subject of recent speculation they are on the rocks - believes it takes "work" to make a relationship last.
She said previously: "Relationships are the most challenging things.
"It's where you do the most work in your life. You come face-to-face with yourself, and if you can deal with realising we're all flawed, accept it and work with it, you might have a really amazing, lasting relationship."
