Keith Urban encourages musical daughters

Keith Urban would encourage his daughters to go into showbiz.
The 'American Idol' judge has two children, Sunday, five, and Faith, three, with his actress wife, Nicole Kidman, and likes the idea of them following in their footsteps - but only if they are willing to work hard, and says they are already showing signs of being talented performers.
Asked if he would allow them to go into showbiz, he said: "Absolutely, if they're willing to work for it. It's not just about having talent, bit having passion. They both sing and dance, but who knows? They may go into acting or music.
"They have an iPod in their room. There's music coming from their bedroom all the time."
The country singer is already giving Faith guitar lessons and is impressed with her skills.
He told America's OK! magazine: "She mimics what I'm doing strumming-wise. That's what I'm trying to teach her. I love how she gravitates toward the guitar. She'll go get her little pink guitar, and hold it - she sits with it right, and she strums with it right. I hope she keeps going."

Adewale Akinnuoye-Agbaje went to boot camp

Adewale Akinnuoye-Agbaje did an intense four-week boot camp to prepare for 'Pompeii'.

Asked how he got in shape, he told website movies.ie: "Boot camp. Gladiator boot camp; four weeks prior to the beginning of the movie. You enrol in that as part of the process. When you and the audience hear the world 'gladiator' you have your expectations, and we have to deliver. "
The intense workout sessions lasted four hours a day and included swordfighting training.
He added: "To do that, we had to go to gladiator boot camp, which consisted of four hours working out a day, two hours of swordsmanship, an hour of weightlifting, an hour of cardio... Coupled with this 1,800 calorie diet. That is what got us in that Adonis-like shape. There are no ifs, buts, ands or maybes about it, that's what you have to do!"

Richie Sambora still loves his ex-wife Heather Locklear

Richie Sambora still loves his ex-wife Heather Locklear.
The 59-year-old rocker still shares a close bond with his former spouse - with whom he has 16-year-old daughter Ava - who he married in Paris on December 17, 1994, and although their divorce was finalised in 2007 he insists he'll always have a special place in his heart for her.
He said: "Time does heal old wounds. I mean, I still love Heather and I know she loves me. She's the mother of my child, man. What can you say?"
Richie insists Ava is his "favourite girl" and gushed about how proud he is of what the teen star has achieved.
He told PEOPLE magazine: "She and I are close and have a candid relationship.
"Boundaries are set.
"That doesn't budge. She is an amazing kid and dedicated to school. She's acting. The first audition she [went] out for was Judd Apatow's 'This is 40' - and she got it. She's been doing Disney stuff. I'm really proud of her - she's just a joy. My favourite girl - her and my mum, I always say."
Earlier this year he revealed it was essential for him and Heather to keep relations cordial for the sake of Ava.
He explained: "If you don't get along you are messing the kid up. That's what happens.
"So you have to put that before whatever s**t is going on. Communication has got to come first. There's a cooling off period obviously, as you know - it takes time. It was almost 10 years ago though. So we're fine.
"Thanksgiving or Christmas, we all spend it together."

Elizabeth told Britain's HELLO! magazine: "We finally parted ways in November (2013) and it was a very sad time for both of us.
"I struggled for a while but feel in a very good place today. In fact, both professionally and personally everything is blooming."
Although Elizabeth has moved on from her relationship she insists there will always be a part of her that loves him especially because they were together for a long time.

Ozzy Osbourne’s barn haunted by bats

Ozzy Osbourne's barn is infested with a protected species of bats.
The 60-year-old star - who bit the head off a bat which he thought was rubber while performing in Iowa in in 1982 - wants to convert a 17th-century barn near his Buckinghamshire mansion into a two-bedroom home but he was refused planning permission after brown long-eared bats were found in the property.
A source told The Sun newspaper: "The irony isn't lost on Ozzy that karma has finally caught up with him. The bats' natural habitat is prevented from being damaged by law.
"The survey stated any work to convert the barn would affect the bats so it could take years for Ozzy's plans to be approved."
Previously, the famed encounter between Ozzy and the bat was recollected in the booklet to the 2002 edition of 'Diary of a Madman', where he claims the bat was alive and managed to bite him, resulting in him needing to be treated for rabies - which is a viral disease that can cause inflammation of the brain and can be spread through a bite or scratch from an animal.
He said later: "Something felt wrong. Very wrong. For a start, my mouth was instantly full of this warm, gloopy liquid. Then the head in my mouth twitched."

Bear Grylls worried about survival of men on The Island

Bear Grylls was worried the men on 'The Island' would die after they were left marooned.
The British adventurer left 13 British men abandoned on a remote, uninhabited Pacific island for a month where they had only the clothes on their backs and some basic tools.
The explorer, 39, insists he was "genuinely" left fearing for their safety and survival as it's easy to cause damage when left with weapons like "machetes".
He explained: "I was worried about people dying. Genuinely.
"You let people loose with machetes and it's like, 'You almost took your knee off.'
"It's so easy to go like that -- boom -- and it's straight through the leg. You cut an arterial vein and you're dead within ten minutes."
Bear - real name Edward Grylls - aimed to make the men on the programme come to terms with "hardship" which was why they ended up on a island which was infested with dangerous animals including "crocodiles, snakes and scorpions", instead of an idyllic paradise.
He told The Sun newspaper: "I could've found the island they expected which was a beautiful Fijian paradise. But I wanted it to be about the hardship.
"What they got was a swamp -- a crocodile, snake and scorpion-infested s***hole."
He wanted to test the modern man and see if he was able to survive since society has become reliant on technology now.
He added: "It tests what they're made of. This was an experiment in trying to find some answers about modern man.
"Nowadays we've swapped the bow and arrow for the iPhone.
"What I wanted to do is see, if you strip man of everything -- when pushed and the bravado's gone -- would they crumble or are the skills still somewhere in there? In the modern world, what is masculinity?"

Elizabeth Banks hates being hungover around kids

Elizabeth Banks hates being hungover around her kids.
The 'Walk of Shame' star admits she loved getting drunk when she was younger and living in New York, but she still does the drunken walk home after a night out now.
Asked if she has ever done a walk of shame in real life, she said: "Plenty. It's going to happen. And I get motion sickness, so instead of getting in a taxi, I'd do the walk of shame for real."
The 40-year-old actress doesn't let her children Felix, three, and Magnus, 18-months, whom she has with her husband Max Handleman, stop her from enjoying a night out once in a while, but she doesn't let herself get too bad.
She told Us Weekly magazine: "I don't think I have. Now that I have kids, it's a completely different kind. I have to accept they're going to see me when I've had a big night."
The blonde beauty also likes to alone spend time with her husband Max because she believes it's an important factor in making a relationship work.
She said previously: "We'll be like, 'Let's ask the nanny to stay late so we can run out and have sushi by ourselves.' And we spend Sunday night curled up on the couch together, watching 'Game of Thrones' and 'Mad Men'."

She told People magazine: "I do have trouble putting down [my iPhone], but I'm getting better about it. I think it's important to take a minute and breathe: no TV, no computer, no iPhone, no iPad. You have so many gadgets today, and everyone is over stimulated all the time."

Hugh Jackman was X-Men dad

Hugh Jackman felt old on the set of 'X-Men: Days of Future Past'.
The 45-year-old actor stars alongside 'Skins' star Nicholas Hoult, 24, in the latest instalment of the Marvel comic book franchise and he's admitted that he felt really old when he told him he'd watched the first film as a child.
He told ELLE magazine: "The first day we shot in the X-Mansion, Nic said, 'I'm sorry, but this is just so cool because I saw you walking down these halls when I was 10 years old.' And I said, 'I know that's meant as a compliment, but it still stings a little, mate.' "
Hoult's girlfriend Jennifer Lawrence, 23, and Ellen Page, 27, also star in the film and Hugh admits he felt like their dad when they were messing about on set.
He explained: "That bunch were close on set, all partying together, shooting each other with BB guns in the trailer park.
"I thought, 'I'm not going to shush them, because if I tell them to stop they'll just shoot at my trailer window. So I stayed inside - that's when you realise you're the old man now."
