Prince William’s 3k gift to Catherine

Britain's Prince William bought Duchess Catherine a £3,600 watch as an early anniversary gift.
The duchess - who was known as Kate Middleton before marrying the prince on August 29 2011 - was given the Ballon Belu de Cartier watch ahead of the couple's tour of Australasia, and wore it every day on the three weeks they were in Australia and New Zealand.
The stainless steel watch is embedded with a sapphire that matches her engagement ring, and Catherine - who has nine-month-old son Prince George with her spouse - is said to "adore" the gift.
And it seems William had carefully thought about the gift as he was said to be ensure Catherine keeps to time as she is known for chatting so much during walkabouts, her husband is regularly kept waiting for her.
Cartier is a favourite brand of the royal family, and one of William's most treasured possessions is an engraved watch given to him by his late mother Princess Diana as a birthday gift, while the princess herself regularly wore a yellow gold Cartier watch.
The watch wasn't the only gift from William to Catherine that she showed off on the tour, as she was also seen wearing an "elegant yet discreet" diamond eternity ring, which the prince is believed to have given her following George's birth.

Lily Allen: I was not mocking Beyoncé

Lily Allen insists she was not "mocking" Beyoncé during her performance at London's G.A.Y.
The 'Hard Out Here' singer mimicked the 'Drunk In Love' hitmaker's Grammy performance during a gig at the club on Saturday night (26.03.14), donning a blonde wig and dancing in a revealing black outfit before having a bucket of water thrown over her on stage.
Lily was slammed by followers on Twitter who claim she was taking a swipe at Beyoncé, but she defended her performance, tweeting: "Only one person can tell you what my intentions are, and that would be me.
"Each time I play GAY I do a cover in drag. 1st time I did Dorothy, last time Britney, thus tone Queen Bey. Why do people jump to conclusions. (sic)."
The 28-year-old singer, who has just released her new album 'Sheezus', which features lyrics about Lady Gaga and Beyoncé in the record's title track, also claims she never "dissed" her fellow female pop stars on the record.
She explained: "I wasn't mocking Beyoncé , like I wasn't dissing anyone on #SHEEZUS , this is so f***ing boring. (sic)"
While many critics were quick to call out Lily for dressing up as the star, others praised her performance of Destiny's Child's 'Survivor', with one tweeting: "Lily u were absolutely perfect yesterday night. Don't care about what the others say, because you are a true artist!! I love u @lilyallen (sic)"

Kym Marsh brands Stephanie Waring ‘bitter’

Kym Marsh has called Stephanie Waring "bitter".
The 'Coronation Street' actress took to Twitter to defend herself against accusations she began dating new love interest Dan Hooper just months after he split from the 'Hollyoaks' star.
Kym wrote: "#bitter...Never fails to surprise me what some people do for money (sic)"
The comments come after Stephanie slammed Kym in a Sunday newspaper calling her former pal "heartless" after hearing of her alleged romance with Dan - the father of her three-year-old daughter, Lexi Grace - three months after she confided in Kym about her relationship troubles during a night out at the National Television Awards.
She told The Sun on Sunday newspaper: "I'm shocked and upset. I can't believe Kym has done this to me. It is killing me. There is an unwritten rule that if you are friends with somebody you don't go near their ex partners. Especially when children are involved. He's not just some guy that I went out with for a year. This is a man I spent half a decade with and had a child with."
Kym has denied claims she is in a relationship with Dan and her representatives told MailOnline the soap star is "hurt" by the accusations, adding that the pair are "entitled to socialise with whomever they wish".
However, Dan seemingly confirmed his relationship with Kym by posting a photo of him kissing the mother-of-four on Twitter on Sunday night (27.04.14).
The caption reads: "@msm4rsh and hoopsy great night. #nobulls**t (sic)".

Strictly Come Dancing’s Aliona Vilani gets married

'Strictly Come Dancing' professional Aliona Vilani has married her "soulmate" Vincent Kavanagh.
The 29-year-old star has revealed that she married the sales director in a private ceremony in St. Thomas in the US Virgin Isles, with only her parents and his mother as guests, and she's admitted her new husband is her perfect match.
Speaking to Britain's HELLO! magazine about how she was introduced to Vincent by actress Anita Dobson, who competed on 'Strictly Come Dancing' in 2011, she explained: "She [Anita] said, 'I really want you to meet this guy. Give him a chance, he's so lovely. So I did and here we are.
"Vincent is a lot of fun and adores me. He is the sweetest man I have ever met. He is my soulmate. You never know when you're going to meet someone who is so right for you. My parents keep saying they couldn't have imagined I would meet someone who is so similar to me."
The Kazakhstan-born dancer, who wore glamorous dresses every week while on Strictly, admits she found it hard to find the perfect gown for her wedding day.
She said: "It was important to choose a dress that would be right for a whole day at the beach. I didn't want a big fluffy skirt, I wanted something slinky. So many of the dresses I looked at reminded me of ones I've already danced in."
Aliona has confessed that following her "perfect" and "very special" wedding ceremony, she's now planning to try for a child with Vincent.
She admitted: "I look forward to having a family. To me, that is the most important thing."

Micky Dumoulin hopes BGT will reunite him with dad

Micky Dumoulin hopes his 'Britain's Got Talent' performance will help him reunite with his dad.
The supermarket worker got four big thumbs up from the judges after his emotional performance of 'Bring Him Home' from 'Les Misérables' on Saturday night (26.04.14), and is hoping the song will encourage his estranged father to get in touch with him.
He told The Sun newspaper: "My dad left home and we aren't in contact. It's just one of those things that happens with families.
"He has always known I loved singing and has seen me sing before but he didn't know I auditioned for 'Britain's Got Talent'. I hope it's a nice surprise.
"We haven't spoken in ages. If he gets in touch it would be nice. I wish him all the best."
The singing hopeful carries his great-grandfather's handkerchief everywhere with him as a lucky charm, and believes it helped him get through to the next round on the ITV talent show.
He said: "He introduced me to singing and music."
Micky initially auditioned for 'The X Factor' in 2008, but didn't make the cut, and believes he has what it takes to impress judges Simon Cowell, Amanda Holden, Alesha Dixon and David Walliams this time around.
He said: "I was only 19 when I did 'X Factor', I've grown up since then. I've learned the trade and have more confidence. I chose 'BGT' over 'The Voice' and 'X Factor' this time as it's the best show in the world."

Chris Martin’s crush on Harry Styles

Chris Martin had a "hot flush" when he met Harry Styles.
The Coldplay frontman - who split from wife Gwyneth Paltrow last month after 10 years of marriage - is a big fan of the 20-year-old singer's group One Direction but can't remember what advice he gave Harry because he was so in awe of his good looks.
He said: "I think One Direction are the biggest band in the world, their songs are great. I'm saying One Direction are brilliant and I'm not kidding.
"You know why? Because their songs are really good and I don't think that any of them are going to go solo. I think they appreciate their chemistry from watching their movie...
"Harry has come to a couple of our shows, I think I probably said the same thing about chemistry. I can't remember - I was too enamoured with his hair cut. I was like this, 'I was pretty sure I was a straight guy before' - I was having a hot flush."
The 'Magic' singer - who has children Apple, nine, and Moses, eight, with Gwyneth - also spoke of his admiration for Kanye West and his belief that the rapper is often "misunderstood".
Speaking to BBC Radio 1 DJ Zayn Lowe in an hour-long interview which will broadcast at 8pm tonight (28.04.14), he said: "That guy [Kanye] is amazing and I think he is misunderstood by people who only look on the surface. I understand what he is talking about and I understand what he means."

Jamie Bell wouldn’t begin career now

Jamie Bell doesn't think he'd be an actor if he was only just beginning his career.
The 28-year-old actor - who was cast in the title role in 'Billy Elliot' when he was just 13 years old - thinks starting out so young has given him a freedom in his career as he never had any preconceptions about fame or Hollywood that "scared him off".
He explained: "To be honest with you, I can't imagine just coming into the business now. I'd be terrified and it would probably scare me off.
"I wonder if coming in so young and not having those preconceived ideas of being an actor or working in Hollywood or being a celebrity -- which obviously are all part of the business, part of the industry -- if not having those things as a child just allows you to pursue things without any ... maybe without any forethought! [Laughs.]
I've always done things without a second thought; like, if it's something that I want to do, I do it. There isn't a feeling of, 'How's this gonna look, what happens if it doesn't work?' "
The 'Turn' star - who has a nine-month-old son with wife Evan Rachel Wood - is astonished his career has continued for so long.
He added to New York magazine: "I thank my lucky stars daily that I'm even still working. Because I didn't see that coming."
If he hadn't become an actor, Jamie thinks he would have been a gardener because of his love of the outdoors.
He said: "I think I probably would be a gardener or something. I'd have to be outside. Couldn't be inside."

Chelsea Handler to sign Netflix deal

Chelsea Handler is close to landing a deal with Netflix.
The 39-year-old presenter - who is to leave E! when her 'Chelsea Lately' contract ends - is in negotiations with the subscription streaming service to front a new programme for them, though it is as yet unclear what the venture would entail.
A source told the New York Post newspaper: "Handler has a deal with Netflix, but the format is to be decided."
It was recently claimed that Chelsea had met with CBS executives to discuss the possibility of a syndicated daytime talk show, following in the footsteps of the likes of Kris Jenner, Katie Couric and Anderson Cooper.
Chelsea's manager Irving Azoff has insisted his client is inundated with offers of work for when her contract ends in nine months time.
He said: "Chelsea intends to leave when her contract expires. She hired me to figure out her life after E! We have at least seven suitors and many ideas."
Chelsea - who is believed to make around $9 million a year from the show - has previously voiced her concerns about the E! network and described it as "a sad, sad place to live."

Lady Gaga introduces fans to new pet BATPIG

Lady Gaga has introduced her fans to her french bulldog, BATPIG.
The 'G.U.Y' hitmaker posted an image of the new addition to her family on Twitter on Sunday (27.04.14) afternoon which shows the adorable black pooch, who is sitting on her legs, staring into the camera while the pair of them are in a car.
She added the caption: "Me and my BATPIG #partBAT #partPIG (sic)"
Following this she put an Instagram video up where she gave her cute pet a name.
She explained: "Her name is Asia. She is a BATPIG. I love her I'm her mum."
This comes after the 'Alejandro' singer lost her childhood dog, Alice, who was battling cancer, in October last year.
She previously wrote online: "My puppy Alice died. We had to put her down, cancer ate away at a little angel. My daddy is so sad, we all are, lost a member of our family.
"I just pray Alice found her wonderland."
Following the tragic incident Gaga wore all black during her time in London in tribute to the late pooch and explained how difficult she was finding being away from home during the difficult period.
She added: "I love being an entertainer but it is so painful sometimes to be away from home, 17 years she held on, so many memories."

Kevin Bacon: ‘Fame could have left me dead’

Kevin Bacon thinks his "obsession" with fame could have left him in "rehab" or "dead".
The 'Footloose' star admits the idea of becoming famous was "seductive" throughout his early career but it wasn't until he had two children, Travis and Sosie, with his wife Kyra Sedgwick, that he realised there was more to life than being a celebrity.
He told The Sun newspaper: "You can end up in rehab or dead unless there is something else in your life other than celebrity.
"People will be nice to you for no other reason than they've seen your movies.
"So what do you do to escape the obsession with fame? Get a proper life. With me it's my family, my wife and children and a handful of close friends.
Kevin admits he "broke down in tears" following a series of "film flops" throughout his late career, and claims other actors find themselves headed towards a downward spiral if their life outside their Hollywood is unfulfilled.
He added: "Those who are wrecked by celebrity have nothing else to fall back upon."
Looking back at his early career, the 55-year-old star would have some strong words of advice for his 18-year-old self.
He mused: "Don't worry so much - it's a waste of energy - and do not take yourself too seriously."
