Kurt Cobain’s belongings for sale

Kurt Cobain's former roommate is selling his belongings on the internet.
Items belonging to the Nirvana frontman, who committed suicide and was found dead in his home in Seattle, Washington in 1994, are being sold on Craigslist by a man claiming to have lived with the star in Capitol Hill in Washington.
Kurt's belongings include skis, a phone and video game, which range between $25 and $80, and the old roommate had kept hold of them for a number of years.
He wrote on the site: "I have been holding on to a bunch of stuff that he left in a box when he moved out.
"He owed us rent and said he would get the box when he came back and gave us the money but he never came back, then when he was famous he never really talked to any of us again because Courtney [Love] never liked us."
But the roommate, who was a bass player in Seattle rock band Gruntruck, insists he's not a fan of the Hole singer, who was married to Kurt, so there are "no hard feelings" and he plans to sell more of the star's belongings.
He added: "i also have a lot more stuff of kurts, like magazine and clothes that i will be selling off soon. thank you for looking (sic)."
Meanwhile, a weeping statue of Kurt was unveiled in Aberdeen in Washington last month, the star's hometown.
The city celebrated Kurt Cobain Day on February 20, which would have been the singer's 47th birthday.

Aerosmith to headline Calling Festival

Aerosmith will headline the new Calling Festival.
The 'I Don't Want To Miss A Thing' hitmakers, who haven't performed in the UK for four years, will play the event in London's Clapham Common on Saturday, June 28.
The festival, formerly Hard Rock Calling, has been re-vamped and moved to a new site for 2014, which will feature multiple stages with 20 rock and pop acts on the bill, including Thunder, Walking Papers and Joe Bonamassa, who will perform throughout the weekend.
Aerosmith's Joe Perry said: "Speaking for myself I've been so involved writing my autobiography I did not realize how long it had been since we have played across the big pond."
The band - which also includes Steve Tyler, Tom Hamilton, Joey Kramer and Brad Whitford - plan to play recent material as well as treating fans to their hits.
Guitarist Joe added: "It¹s been far too long since we have performed in the UK. We can¹t wait to bring back some of the classics as well as some of the new songs from 'Music from Another Dimension' [2012 album]. We miss our UK fans. See you soon."

Matthew McConaughey wants another baby

Matthew McConaughey told his wife he wanted to make another baby after the Oscars on Sunday (02.03.14).
The 44-year-old actor picked up the Academy Award for Best Actor for his role in 'Dallas Buyers Club', but instead of planning a night of fun at the afterparty, he told his wife Camila Alves - with who he has five-year-old Levi, four-year-old Vida and 14-month-old Livingston - he wanted to enjoy some intimate celebrations.
He was reportedly overheard telling her: "We won't stay at the afterparty long - I want to go home and make another baby!"
A source added to The Sun newspaper: "Matthew wasn't worried about getting drunk, he was more keen to get home with his beautiful wife, which he made quite clear in her ear.
"It was so lovely to see, though. It's clear how in love they are. They kissed and kissed and kissed."
The 'Lincoln Lawyer' star thanked his mother, Kathleen McCabe, and his late father during his acceptance speech at the Dolby Theater in Hollywood.
He said: "To you Dad, you taught me how to be a man ... To my mother, who's here tonight, who taught me and my two older brothers - demanded - that we respect ourselves."
The heartthrob then fought back tears as he thanked Camila and his children for their support, saying: "You are the four people in my life that I want to make the most proud of me. Thank you."

Robin Thicke ‘spreading love and joy’

Robin Thicke is trying to spread "love and joy".
The 'Blurred Lines' hitmaker - who recently split from Paula Patton after eight years of marriage - is doing his best to stay positive in the wake of the separation and has promised to continue to treat his estranged spouse "right".
Speaking at his concert at Borgata Hotel Casino & Spa in Atlantic City on Sunday (02.03.14), Robin - who has three-year-old son Julian with Paula - told the audience: "Never stop believing and you never stop loving. And even if it is over, make sure you treat each other right. Treat your family right. Take care of your mom, take care of your kids and good things will come to you. Just keep believing that God is good.
"That's what gets me by. Sometimes when I get a little scared or worried about the future, I just try to stay positive and do my part to spread love and spread joy."
His speech came ahead of his rendition of Al Green's 'Let's Stay Together' and may have been triggered by an earlier outburst from a fan.
The audience member shouted: "I love Paula."
Robin, who was still wearing his wedding ring, quickly shouted back: "I do too."
Although Robin and Paula issued a statement saying they had "mutually" decided to separate, it has been widely reported that the singer was against the decision and tried his best to persuade the actress to change her mind.

Jared Leto hasn’t seen Dallas Buyers Club

Jared Leto hasn't seen 'Dallas Buyers Club'.
The 42-year-old actor - who picked up Best Supporting Actor for his role as transsexual AIDS victim Rayon in the movie at Sunday's (02.03.14) Oscars - plans to watch his work eventually, but wants to "leave it alone" at present because the project was such an "intense" experience.
Speaking on 'The Ellen DeGeneres Show' yesterday (03.03.14), he said: "I have not seen the film yet.
"I think one day I will watch it, because, you know, I'll be curious at some point. But it was such an intense role. It's better for me to just leave it alone right now."
Jared appeared on the show just a few hours after getting home for the night, but wasn't upset at his lack of sleep because he had enjoyed celebrating so much.
He said: "I got in at -- I think the crack ass of dawn last night, maybe 6 o'clock, 5.30.
"Don't feel sorry for me, this is a time to revel in it, it's a sunrise you want to see.
"My mother, my brother were there and one of the highlights of the night was seeing my mom dance with Madonna.
"You meet all these amazing people last night, whether it was Jane Fonda or Liza Minnelli..."

Winona Ryder’s Fifty Shades confusion

Winona Ryder thought 'Fifty Shades of Grey' was about the economy.
The 42-year-old actress admitted she is "out of the loop" with popular culture and had a bizarre encounter with author E.L. James about her erotic thriller because although she had heard of the book, its sedate sleeve, which depicts a smart tie, left her confused about its subject matter.
She said: "This is how out of the loop I am. I met E.L. James at a party and I'd heard about the book so I knew everyone was talking about it, but because there's a tie on the cover I thought it was about Wall Street.
"I think I said something really stupid to her because I literally thought it was about the economy."
The 'Edward Scissorhands' star is "waiting" for the right project to come along and is desperate to work with 'The Wire' creator David Simon but has no idea how to approach him.
Speaking to the new edition of Red magazine, she said: "I'm waiting for the thing that gives me that feeling.
"I've been trying to write [David] a letter to tell him I want to work with him. But how do you write a letter to a writer? He's the person that I hope to work with one day."

Simon Cowell: I get my best TV ideas after drinking

Simon Cowell claims his best TV ideas come after he's been drinking.
The 'X Factor' boss has admitted he likes to drink in the early hours of the morning to help spark his creativity but admits comedian Harry Hill, who wrote his 'X Factor' musical 'I Can't Sing!', isn't impressed by his lifestyle choice.
He told the Radio Times magazine: "Harry trained as a doctor, he doesn't like my theory that although I smoke and drink, I take supplements, so I'll be all right.
"If I tried to cut out cigarettes completely, I would have a real problem: too boring. It's the same with drinking."
Simon insists he's "pretty good" at cutting back when he needs to but claims he enjoys drinking because it puts him in a "calm place".
He continued: "I have this expression, 'You never eat Indian food for breakfast'. I always think there is a time in your day when you can be creative.
"For me, [at] one or two in the morning, couple of vodka and limes, couple of cigarettes, I'm in a calm place: I can think. I always say, 'One good idea a year can pay for your next ten years'. And that's all you need to do."
The 54-year-old star, who was photographed topless on holiday with girlfriend Lauren Silverman and new baby, Eric, who was born on Valentine's Day (14.02.14), thinks he's in good shape.
Talking about the photographs, he joked: "Yeah, not too shabby, eh?"
Meanwhile, despite previews for the new musical having been postponed for the second time, after producers claimed they were having "technical problems", Simon is convinced it will be a success.
He said: "It's bloody risky, but so is making the TV show.
"Every new season you go in with the highest hopes, and sometimes you get a bum year.
"You wait for those numbers to come in, oh my God it's stressful, and it's a delicious thrill."

Phillip Schofield to skate on Dancing on Ice final

Phillip Schofield will skate for the first time on 'Dancing on Ice' on Sunday (09.03.14).
The 51-year-old presenter will take to the ice for the first time since he began hosting the show nine years ago in a bid to give the show - which will end after the current series - an exciting send-off.
A source told The Sun newspaper: "Fans have wanted Phillip to get his skates on for the past nine years but he has always refused because doesn't really fancy slipping over and breaking something.
"But after months of arm-twisting by producers, Phillip has finally agreed to give it a whirl. It should be hilarious TV. With Torvill and Dean doing their last ever performance of the Bolero too, it could be one of the show's most memorable episodes."
Phillip will be joined on the ice by his co-host Christine Bleakley and the panel of judges, including Ashley Roberts and Jason Gardiner, as they've all been taking part in secret training sessions.
Meanwhile, Olympic gold medal winner Beth Tweddle, former 'Emmerdale' actress Hayley Tamaddon and singer Ray Quinn will battle it out to be crowned champion of the all-stars series.

Mark Wright loves steamy Corrie scenes

Mark Wright says Michelle Keegan's affair in 'Coronation Street' has spiced up their love life.
The actress' soap alter-ego Tina McIntyre has been seeing married man Peter Barlow (Chris Gascoyne) in recent months and Michelle's fiancé admits he loves helping her learn lines for steamy scenes between the characters.
Mark told the Daily Star newspaper: "I always help her with her lines, we do it in bed. I love being the other people in her scenes. I've been Carla, Peter, even David Platt - it's fun!
"I like being Peter the most. It's cool pretending to have an affair with her, although we actually carry it on after the lines have stopped!"
The 'Party Wright Around the World' star has been offered the chance to star in a reality show with Michelle but isn't keen on airing their romance on screen.
He added: "I've been approached by a lot of companies, there's a lot of interest in my life with Michelle.
"I want to do stuff with a format. I don't want it to be all about my personal life.
"Michelle's doing her thing, I do mine and then we go home and be normal together rather than working together."

Susanna Reid angers BBC bosses with ITV jump

Susanna Reid has reportedly angered BBC bosses by defecting to rival ITV.
The 'BBC Breakfast' host has accepted a £500,000 deal to front ITV's new breakfast programme 'Good Morning Britain' later this year and she has apparently "burned her bridges" with the BBC, who only learned of her departure just hours before ITV announced her recruitment yesterday (03.03.14).
Susanna, 42, had requested the week off in the aftermath of her highly publicised split from partner Dominic Cotton and delivered a further blow by handing in her notice on Monday morning.
A source told The Sun newspaper: "There were shades of what went on when Christine Bleakley left to do the exact same thing. She'll be lucky to work for the BBC again."
Christine, 35, jumped ship from BBC to ITV in 2010 to front current morning programme 'Daybreak', but she was axed along with Adrian Chiles a year later amid low viewing figures and mixed reviews.
Susanna is set to begin work for ITV in late April and will be joined on 'Good Morning Britain' by former GMTV host Ben Shephard, Sky News' Charlotte Hawkins and Sky Sports News presenter Sean Fletcher.
Last night, the TV star said she looks forward to a "new challenge" with ITV.
She wrote on Twitter: "I'm very excited to be joining Good Morning Britain. I have loved being at BBC Breakfast & will miss the team. But as a news journalist & presenter I couldn't turn down this opportunity and a new challenge (sic)"

Prunella Scales suffering from dementia

'Fawlty Towers' star Prunella Scales is suffering from dementia.
The actress, who played hot-headed hotel manager Basil Fawlty's patient wife Sybil in the classic sitcom, has been struggling with the degenerative memory loss illness, her husband of 50 years Timothy West has revealed.
Speaking in new TV documentary 'Great Canal Journeys', he explained: "When you think this person that I loved and enjoyed this and that and the other with doesn't really exist anymore, that's quite painful.
"Prunella can't remember things very well but you don't have to remember things on the canal. You can just enjoy things as they happen - so it's perfect for her."
The More4 show follows the couple as they take four canal trips across the UK, enjoying the beauty of the British countryside.
Timothy, who stars as Stan Carter on 'EastEnders', admitted that while Prunella, 81, "doesn't really exist anymore", her sense of humour is still the same.
Prunella insisted the condition wouldn't stop her from acting and she intended to keep performing on stage.
She said: "I always say I want to die on the eighth curtain call. Eight will mean the show's been rather a success. I just hope I'm somewhere near the middle and have been reasonably good in the part."
