Elle Fanning looked cute in a pink striped shirt and trousers as she arrived at The David Letterman Show in New York. The 'Maleficent' star greeted fans with a wave as she made her way into the building.
Lindsay Lohan rocked a tassled leather jacket for a night out at Chiltern Firehouse in London. The actress was in high spirits as she left the bar after partying until 4am.
Britain's Princes William and Harry went head-to-head in a polo match at the weekend.
The royal brothers took part in the De Beers Diamond Jewellers Royal Charity Polo Cup at the Billingbear Polo Club in Berkshire, South East England on Sunday (11.05.14) in a bid to raise money for good causes.
William - dressed in white trousers and a black top - captained the Baku Guards team and played alongside professionals Simon Holland, Lyndon Lea and world number one player Facundo Pieres, while his younger brother headed the King Power team, playing alongside Gonzalito Pieres and Thai players Aiyawatt 'Top' Srivaddhanaprabha and Talapichet 'Ton' Srivaddhanaprabha.
Baku Guards' patron Nasib Piriev said: "It is our utmost privilege to have Prince William playing for us on this special occasion".
Around 300 guests watched the game, which ended in a 6-6 draw.
William and Harry were praised for their skills, with Luke Tomlinson, captain of the England polo quartet saying he felt both princes would have been good enough to represent their country if they had had enough time to devote to the sport.
He said: "Both their Royal Highnesses are excellent sports people and very good polo players, naturally."
After the match, the brothers joined spectators at a lavish dinner at the polo club, and guests were also invited to take part in an auction to raise money for charities including HALO, ESSA, England and Wales Mountain Rescue and Walking With The Wounded, which had all been chosen by the royals.
Ralph Lauren was reportedly "furious" to learn Duchess Catherine would not be at the charity dinner he sponsored this week.
The US fashion designer splashed out a rumoured £1.2 million on the star-studded event, which was held at Windsor Castle on Tuesday (13.05.14) to raise money for the Royal Marsden cancer hospital, but considered pulling out when he learned Prince William's wife would be staying at home to care for their 10-month-old son Prince George.
A source told the Daily Mail newspaper:"Ralph Lauren was furious when he found out less than six weeks ago that Kate would not be there.
"He considered pulling out but was told by his PR advisers that it would look terrible. The company thought they were getting Kate, the most famous clothes horse in the world, and also a runway show at the castle."
A Kensington Palace spokesperson insisted the duchess - who has often been pictured in the designer's dresses - was never scheduled to attend the event.
They said: "The Duke and Duchess regularly undertake separate engagements in support of the charities with which they are involved."
A Ralph Lauren representative has denied the claims.
They said: "Mr. Lauren has only ever been enthusiastic about attending the event."
Britain's Queen Elizabeth will make a last-minute helicopter dash to be at the Epsom Derby.
The monarch and her husband Prince Philip are due to spend three days in France for the 70th anniversary D-Day commemorations next month, and despite having a visit to the Elysee Palace scheduled for the morning of Saturday June 7, she is determined not to miss the most important race of the Flat calendar, so will travel home by helicopter immediately afterwards.
The craft will take her back to her Windsor castle home before she travels on to the racecourse in Surrey, South East England.
However, she will not return in time for the traditional royal car procession -which travels up the Epsom home straight - but is expected to arrive by early afternoon, in plenty of time for the big race at 4pm.
A source told the Daily Mail newspaper: "The fact she is taking so much effort to be at Epsom shows the queen's passion for the race."
Meanwhile, the monarch recently sold on a racehorse, Al Kazeem, after he was found to be "sub fertile".
Following negotiations, he has been returned to original breeder John Deer, her racing manager John Warren has revealed.
He commented: "The queen made the comment that, sadly, horses will always have the last word."
Michael Le Vell has been shadowing the 'Coronation Street' directors.
The 49-year-old actor - who played mechanic Kevin Webster on the soap - is reportedly keen to quit acting for a behind the scenes role, so tried his hand at directing the ITV show while the crew were filming scenes in Salford's Magistrates Court.
A source told the Daily Star newspaper: "He was just shadowing the director for the day. In one scene he put the director's headphones on to listen to the dialogue. He was monitoring all the camera angles. It seems to be a very technical kind of role."
Michael, who was cleared of child sex abuse claims in September 2013, has conquered his drug and alcohol addiction after completing a three-week stint at The Priory rehab clinic last month and was reportedly in a "fantastic" mood on set.
The set spy said: "As a joke because he had a new job, they said, 'OK, you make the tea.' Everyone was laughing and joking. He was in a fantastic mood, very happy excited.
"Michael's had a few hard years but he's very well respected on 'Coronation Street' and they're keen to help them out."
The star took a break from the show earlier this year following his admission to taking drugs, but has made several trips to the set since checking out of rehab.
Alesha Dixon is competing with Mel B for the final 'X Factor' judge's seat.
The 'Britain's Got Talent' judge and former Spice Girls star are said to be battling it out for the fourth and final seat on the ITV talent show judging panel, after Simon Cowell and Cheryl Cole announced they'd be re-joining Louis Walsh on the next series earlier this year.
Louis told the Daily Mirror newspaper: "It's between Mel B and Alesha. She's brilliant, isn't she? Watch this space."
If the 35-year-old singer and former 'Strictly Come Dancing' judge was to secure the 'X Factor' job, it's likely she would have to step down from her role on 'Britain's Got Talent' alongside Amanda Holden and David Walliams.
Simon confirmed he was considering offering Alesha the coveted role and previously rubbished rumours he was going to replace long-term judge Louis, saying it "wouldn't be the same without him".
Simon said: "She [Alesha] would be a great judge."
Meanwhile, 'America's Got Talent' judge Mel, 38, is still the favourite to join the other three 'X Factor' mentors Simon, 54, Cheryl, 30, and Louis, 61, when 'The X Factor' returns later this year.
Lily Allen turned down an incestuous cameo in 'Game of Thrones'.
The 'Air Balloon' singer was offered the chance to work alongside her actor brother Alfie Allen - who plays Theon Greyjoy in the hit HBO fantasy drama - but turned it down as the part called for her sibling to touch her in a manner she deemed inappropriate.
In a Q&A with Reddit.com, Lily revealed: "I've been asked to do a 'Game of Thrones' cameo. They asked me if I'd be interested in playing Theon's sister and I felt uncomfortable because I would have had to go on a horse and he would have touched me up and s**t. Once they told me what was entailed, I said no thanks."
The part of Yara Greyjoy, Theon's sister, eventually went to actress Gemma Whelan.
The character was introduced in the second season of 'Game of Thrones' in a scene which saw Theon caress his sister over her clothing while they rode a horse. However, he is later embarrassed when he discovers the woman is his sibling whom he hasn't seen in numerous years.
Lily, 29, previously admitted she struggles to watch the more gruesome scenes in 'Game of Thrones' - including her brother's character being castrated in the third season.
She said: "I love the show and I'm so proud of him but I can't bear the thought of my brother without a penis.
"When he told me it was happening I was fine with it. Then, when I saw it, I just crossed my legs, turned away and tried not to even listen."
Adrian Chiles doesn't "enjoy" watching 'Good Morning Britain' "suffer".
The former 'Daybreak' host - who was unceremoniously axed from ITV's previous breakfast show along with Christine Bleakley in 2011 - has revealed his own "stressful" experience fronting early morning TV still gives him sleepless nights and hopes Susanna Reid and her colleagues fare better.
'Good Morning Britain' has struggled in the ratings since it launched last month, with viewers hitting as low as 400,000.
Adrian said: "I haven't slept properly since [Daybreak]. It was a stressful time as you can imagine.
"I am not enjoying watching them suffer now. They have just got to stick to it and they will be fine; it will come round, it just needs to be given time and it is difficult in the current climate."
The 47-year-old star went on to praise 'Good Morning Britain', saying it's a "perfectly good show", and its hosting team which includes Susanna, Ben Shephard, Charlotte Hawkins and Sean Fletcher.
He added to the Daily Mirror newspaper: "They are good broadcasters and they will find a way. It seems to be national sport to give it a bloody kicking and having been on the end of that, it is no fun."
Adrian and Christine jumped ship to ITV from the BBC to front 'Daybreak' in 2010, but the stars were axed a year later amid low ratings and poor reviews.
Drew Barrymore thinks it is a "miracle" she has returned to work already.
The 39-year-old actress gave birth to second daughter Frankie just three weeks ago but is happy to take the time to promote her new movie 'Blended' because everyone is doing well and she is proud of the project.
Speaking on 'The Ellen DeGeneres Show' in an episode airing on Monday (19.05.14), she said: "It feels like a miracle and it's also so awesome I have to say.
"I feel like I actually have, first of all, I love this movie and I would never not like show up for it and I feel so good and happy. My kid is healthy. I have nothing to complain about. Like, I'm so blessed."
Drew admitted she and husband Will Kopelman initially struggled to find a name for their daughter during her pregnancy as everything they like sounded like "food or colours" when paired with the name of their other child, 19-month-old Olive, but they managed to settle on Frankie "a few months" ago.
She said: "We, um, it was just a name that like came to my husband and I about a few months before she was born and it was just sort of like I think this is it and then we just gave ourselves the room to change our mind but we never did. Not the most interesting story."
Angelina Jolie and Brad Pitt are planning to work on something "experimental" together.
The couple - who met on the set of 'Mr. and Mrs. Smith' in 2005 - are teaming up again for a new big screen outing written by the actress, but the brunette beauty insists it won't be a blockbuster like their previous collaboration.
She said: "I wrote something a few years ago for Brad and me. Just for fun.
"Just an independent little art piece. Because we don't get to do those as much as we'd like. But it's something really small and experimental."
Brad and Angelina's five-year-old daughter Vivienne appears alongside her mother in new movie 'Maleficent' as the young Princess Aurora but the Hollywood star admits she and her fiance - who also have children Maddox, 12, Pax, 10, Zahara, nine, Shiloh, seven, and Vivienne's twin brother Knox - were reluctant for her to be in the film.
However, Angelina felt there was no choice as other children were so terrified of the title character she plays in the film, a reimagining of the 'Sleeping Beauty' story.
Speaking to People magazine, she said: "I don't want our kids to be actors. But we realised early on that four and five year olds were not going to be comfortable in a scene with me. I would say hello to kids and they would cry.
"So I went back and said, 'Maybe...' So Brad and I had a long talk about it because it wasn't an easy choice to kind of make her [Vivienne] more public. But we thought less of that and more of time spent on-set with Mommy."
Neil Patrick Harris was asked to present 'The Late Show'.
The 'How I Met Your Mother' actor - who raises twins Harper and Gideon, three, with partner David Burtka - was asked to replace David Letterman on the nightly talk show and even got as far as meeting with CBS executives to discuss the opportunity.
He said: "They called me in and sat me down and asked if that would be something that I would be interested in doing."
However, despite the lucrative offer, the 40-year-old actor turned down the job as he worried about getting "bored" and wanted more flexible working.
Speaking on 'The Howard Stern Show'. he said: "In that instance I felt like I knew what my skill sets were. I was surprised that he pitched me that idea, and I sort of sat for a minute with it and told him the things that concerned me about the longevity of that kind of gig.
"I would get bored of the repetition fast, and the structure is so set that I don't have any interest in doing monologue, commercial, sketch, guest, guest, musical act, good night."
Instead, Neil revealed he may instead front a weekly variety show for the network.
Letterman will retire from 'The Late Show' next year, with Stephen Colbert taking over as host.
