John Legend worries about lyrics

John Legend worries that people think all of his lyrics relate to his personal life.
The 'All of Me' singer - who is married to Sports Illustrated model Chrissy Teigen - has admitted that because the majority of his songs are about love and relationships, people presume that they are all based on his own personal experiences.
He said: "If I write about relationships gone bad in the future, I worry that people will think my marriage has gone bad.
"Everyone is so focused on my relationship with my wife after writing a really romantic album, and it's interesting to see if people will read things into everything I write."
The 35-year-old star married the brunette beauty last year and claims that although some of his music is influenced by his personal life, it can't all be because he thinks his fans would find it boring.
He told the Daily Star newspaper: "I got known for writing about men who cheat on my first album Get Lifted in 2004 - and my fans won't always want me to be so lovey-dovey in every song."
Meanwhile, John is working on securing some big names for future collaborations and has his eye on 'Someone Like You' hitmaker, Adele.
He added: "I've put the message out to Adele that I think she'd be great to work with.
"I think that'll happen - it's just a matter of time."

Charlie Brooks won’t rule out EastEnders return

Charlie Brooks hasn't ruled out a return to 'EastEnders'.
The 32-year-old actress, whose treacherous character Janine Butcher is set to exit the show soon, has revealed she can't bear the thought of never playing the legendary villain and could see herself returning to Walford in future.
Charlie said: "I've loved my time on the show and I would hate to think that I might never get to play Janine again. However, it's time for a new challenge in my life."
Janine is currently on trial for murdering her husband Michael Moon (Steve John Shepherd) and Charlie says her alter-ego is doing everything she can to ensure she isn't found guilty.
She told Soaplife magazine: "She'll fight tooth and nail to stay out of prison and won't even consider that she might be found guilty. If she is found guilty, it will knock her for six. She's used to getting away with things."
Charlie admits she would love to see Janine - who previously murdered first husband Barry Evans - get away with murder a second time.
She added: "I'd like her to get away with it because I think deep down she is a good person. She did only kill Michael in self-defence after all."

Phillip Schofield: Joey Essex ‘brilliant’ on The Cube

Joey Essex was "brilliant" on 'The Cube', according to Phillip Schofield.
The former 'The Only Way is Essex' star was eager to take on the challenges on the ITV game show and lobbied its presenter to become a contestant.
Phillip admits he was surprised by how well Joey, 23, did on the show after struggling to tell the time during his stint on 'I'm a Celebrity... Get Me Out of Here!' last year.
He said: "Joey said to me, 'Please get me on The Cube', so I told the production guys and they snapped up the chance. He was better than I thought he'd be. Sometimes the games did take a bit of explaining! He was a brilliant guest."
As for his own career, the 'This Morning' presenter admits he doesn't have any unfulfilled ambitions and is happy hosting a slew of shows such as 'Dancing on Ice', 'The Cube' and 'All Star Mr. and Mrs.'
He added: "I don't have any midlife crisis ambitions. I watched Davina McCall do her Sport Relief challenge and she had incredible guts. There's nothing I feel like I still need to do. I'm really happy."

Adele signing new publishing deal

Adele is negotiating a new publishing deal.
The 25-year-old star's previous agreement is said to have expired and she's now reportedly working on a new contract - which will earn her money from songwriting royalties and will include an advance - which is estimated to be worth around £10 million.
A source told The Sun newspaper: "The figures being mentioned are huge.
"Publishing firms know anything Adele does will sell millions of copies and that the songwriting royalties will be huge."
Although the 'Rolling in the Deep' hitmaker has been taking a break from music to enjoy motherhood, as she gave birth to her first son Angelo James Konecki in 2012, she is still reported to be earning up to £32,000 a day in royalties from her past albums, and the new deal could suggest she's preparing to release new material.
The source added: "She's certain to get a big sum up front and more as she releases new material.
"Her next album should be out before the end of the year, the cash will start flowing in."
Adele is said to have started work on her third studio album last April.

John Legend argues with Kanye West

John Legend has disagreements with Kanye West.
The 35-year-old singer-songwriter has worked with his producer Kanye West on all four of his albums and claims they constantly argue over what would work best and says he's sometimes forced to go against the rappers wishes.
He said: "We always have differences of opinion.
"We try to get to a place where we agree on a song, but occasionally I put something on that I love and Kanye isn't too fond of."
The 'All of Me' hitmaker admitted however that he thinks people are too quick to judge the 'Yeezus' star - who is engaged to Kim Kardashian and is often criticised for his public rants.
John told the Daily Star newspaper: "He is so honest that people think there must be something else behind it, but it's just him telling the truth as he sees it.
"We place a premium on being polite, but it's not the most necessary thing.
"If you look at what Kanye says and does, it might upset our sense of politeness, but has he ever actually hurt anybody? No."

Dexters getting tips from Liam Gallagher

Dexters have been getting advice from Liam Gallagher on how to survive in the music business.
The new band - made up of Tom Rowlett, Chris Heggie, Ben Debo and Vincent Dignan - have been given a few tips from the former Oasis frontman as they prepare to release their debut album 'Shimmer Gold' on Monday (17.03.14).
Frontman Tom told BANG Showbiz: "I went to watch Beady Eye play in King's Cross and then got invited back to a hotel across the road. I was sitting at this table with Liam and other cool people, drinking beers, I thought, 'This is life, I could do this all the time'.
"He was giving us advice saying, 'Don't f***ing listen to anyone else, just do what you wanna do'. How you thought he would be ... he was."
Tom, who formed Dexters two years ago, was a big fan of Oasis growing up and was inspired by their music.
He's now written the tracks for his band's debut album and is looking forward to their tour in coming months.
Tom continued: "It's our first album and they say you have your whole life to write it but I doubt there's one song on the album that we were playing in our first year, most of them were written over the past couple of months.
"[The album is] a retrospective of sh*t I've done and things I want to do and I'm really looking forward to the tour, this is going to be a step up, we're doing loads of festivals over the summer and then hitting Germany."
Tom insists Dexters are out to make their own mark in the industry and doesn't like people comparing them to other indie rock acts.
He said: "One time we got compared to Pigeon Detectives and I went 'F**k off, I'm not f***ing having that'. I get it, we're lively on stage, but we don't wear leather jackets and our songs are about something, not just nonsense.
"I was like, 'Listen [to our music], before you start chatting that b***ks."
Dexters have also released their new single 'Recover' from their debut record.

Otis Williams: Beyoncé was too sexy at the Grammys

The Temptations singer Otis Williams thinks Beyoncé's performance at the Grammys was too sexual.
The 72-year-old Motown legend is a big fan of the former Destiny's Child star but he is unimpressed with the erotic new direction she has gone in on her latest album 'Beyonce'.
Otis was particularly unimpressed by her performance of 'Drunk In Love' with her husband Jay Z at the awards show in January - which saw her wear a black thong bodysuit as she grinded against a chair, twerked on stage and suggestively danced against the rapper who at one point clasped her butt and kissed her.
Otis - who is the last original surviving member of the soul group - told BANG Showbiz: "I watched Beyoncé at the Grammys, and I have to say I'm a huge Beyoncé fan, but what she did with Jay Z I thought, 'No you ain't girlfriend!'
"But I guess she feels she's at the point in her life and her career where she can test things out and do whatever she wants, so I'm not mad at her for that."
The 'My Girl' singer also thinks Rihanna's videos and lyrics are too sexually explicit and he believes many modern artists are too eager to push boundaries just to make money.
Otis - who is on tour in the UK with The Temptations and The Four Tops - added: "I love Rihanna but I'm shocked by her and a few others that are coming out with very explicit things but it's very reflective of us as a people. When we started out, if we said 'damn' straight away we'd be told, 'Temps you can't say that' ... When I listen to some of the stuff that's being played on the radio I am appalled, and I'm an artist and I don't try to rain on anyone's parade but some of the stuff I hear today ... it's pathetic. I think to myself, 'Have we really lost our morality for the bottom line of money?'
"Music is simple, a great song will always stand the test of time. Great songs with great melodies, people can easily understand and relate to it."
The Temptations and The Four Tops - featuring Duke Fakir, the band's last surviving original member - are playing a series of concerts of across Britain in March and April.

Aaron Paul loved driving in Need for Speed

Aaron Paul "loved" driving '68 Torino for 'Need for Speed'.
The 'Breaking Bad' actor plays mechanic Tobey Marshall in the forthcoming action film and enjoyed getting behind the wheel himself when they were shooting scenes for the movie.
Talking to collider.com, he said: "What I loved doing over and over and over again - because it took us six nights to shoot - was the first racing sequence in the 68 Torino, and the Mount Kiska race. We shot all over ... in a little quaint town in Georgia.
"It was all night shoots. I got to do the majority of that driving and it was just a blast. We left skid-marks all over that beautiful little town and they're still there a year later."
Paul admits he would have liked to be involved in the more dangerous stunts but isn't sure whether he'd actually have gone though with them if producers had permitted him to partake.
He added: "I wanted to be in the car driving off the cliff - because you're connected to the helicopter you're going to be fine.
"I don't know. Just to say you actually did that - it's pretty ... I mean there's not a chance in hell, and I knew that, that's why I was like 'Yeah, I'll do it'.
"If they were like, 'Yeah, we'll let you do it', if I'm being honest with you I probably wouldn't have done it."

Meryl Streep cast as the ‘villain’ with her kids

Meryl Streep is always the "bad cop" with her kids.
The 'Silkwood' actress admits her husband Donald gets away with spoiling their four grown-up children Henry, Mamie, Grace and Louisa, while she is left to be the villain.
Quizzed about who the boss is at home, she told France's Madame Figaro magazine: "I have to pay tribute to Donald, my husband! Before he left home, my older son was the one who had power over his sisters. But normally it's pretty balanced.
"We try and share everything, my husband and I, but like always, I'm cast as the villain, I'm the bad cop who punishes whereas the father says yes and consoles."
Meryl is appreciative that her acting career has allowed her to spend more quality time at home with her family than most women's jobs.
She said: "Being an actress isn't really the problem because it's a job that makes you more available than many others. If I had been an architect or a journalist, I would have been a lot less available. Many of my friends only have one week's holiday at Christmas and two in summer.
"Very often I work for four months then I have about five at home. My kids never knew exactly when I would be there, but I often was! I was an unpredictable mother, which meant they were always on high alert, a very good thing! The real problem is celebrity. It's very unstabilizing."

Shailene Woodley and Theo James have chemistry

Shailene Woodley and Theo James are "attracted" to each other.
The pair play Beatrice 'Tris' Prior and Tobias 'Four' Eaton respectively in forthcoming sci-fi action flick 'Divergent', where they share a "hot and intense" screen romance, and director Neil Burger admits he was inclined to cast them after witnessing their instant chemistry during auditions.
He told Total Film magazine: "They really had a connection so I was confident we would get it. They're both kinda attracted to each other! And I think people are going to be excited about their relationship in the movie, there's real friction between them.
"They're in a world where it's not about their attraction, they've got real, physical concerns - whether it be training or real life-or-death situations - but unlike, say, 'The Hunger Games', where there's a sort of relationship but not really, here's a real romance which is hot and intense."
'Divergent' is based on Veronica Roth's popular novel of the same name, and Burger wants the "sophisticated" film to appeal to everyone.
He added: "It's from a young adult novel but we're playing it pretty sophisticated. It's not a movie just for teenagers, it's much more universal."

Peter Facinelli threw Jaimie Alexander surprised party

Peter Facinelli threw Jaimie Alexander a surprised party on Monday night (10.03.14).
The 40-year-old actor wanted to do something special for the brunette beauty for her 30th birthday earlier this week, so decided to host a secret bash at El Floridita in Hollywood with close friends.
A source told Us Magazine: "Jaimie arrived with Peter and was so happy, she was definitely surprised."
The 'Twilight' hunk arranged the party with the help of Jaimie's pals, who thought the venue was the "perfect place" to celebrate her birthday as she loves to have a boogie.
A source explained: "Jaimie loves to dance so it was the perfect place. All her friends were there. They surprised her with a birthday cake and Peter held her hand."
Jaimie took to her Twitter account on March 12 - her actual birthday - to thank her beau for making her feel "special" .
She wrote: "Thank you @Peterfacinelli for making my birthday (and everyday) so special (sic)".
The pair began dating in November 2012 and they have been inseparable ever since.
Peter was previously married to Jennie Garth, whom he has Luca, 16, Lola, 11, and Fiona, seven, with - for 11 years, but they split up back in March 2012.
