Jennifer Garner my children are my priority

Jennifer Garner says her children take priority over her career.
The 'Dallas Buyers Club' actress says she and her husband Ben Affleck always try to put their kids Violet, eight, Seraphina, five, and 23-month-old Samuel ahead of any big movie offers, and make sure to plan their schedules around their needs.
Asked whether she wanted Ben to take on the time-consuming role of Batman in the upcoming 'Man of Steel' sequel, she said: "Of course I was in favour of him doing the part. But the kids don't really get it. They don't really know those films. They'll understand soon enough but right now that's a bit of a fog for them. Thankfully we don't look at the year ahead and go, 'OK I'll work these two months, you stay at home.'
"It's more like, 'This has come up.' So before we panic and say we can't do it, let's sit down together and see if we can make it happen. Maybe Brad [Pitt] and Angelina [Jolie] can plan their lives like that, but it doesn't work like that for us."
The 41-year-old brunette admits compromise is what makes her marriage work and she is happy to sacrifice roles for the sake of Ben, and vice versa.
In an interview with Radio Times magazine, Jennifer said: "After I did 'Dallas Buyers Club' I took another break because I wanted to be around for Ben when he was travelling with 'Argo'. I felt like I needed to be there with him, which wasn't a decision I took lightly. But Ben had been home while I was working and, really, we just try and make it work."

Johnny Depp wants Stones to be his wedding band

Johnny Depp wants The Rolling Stones to play at his wedding, it has been claimed.
The 50-year-old actor proposed to girlfriend Amber Heard - who he met on the set of their film 'The Rum Diary' in 2011 - on Christmas Eve (24.12.13) and though they haven't set a date for their nuptials yet, he has asked his friend and 'Pirates of the Caribbean' co-star Keith Richards if he and his band will provide some music.
A source told Now magazine: "The wedding plans are at an early stage. But the one thing Johnny does know is he wants Keith and the guys there He might even ask to join them on a track or two."
Johnny is known to be an excellent guitar player and previously teamed up with Marilyn Manson for a version of Carly Simon's 1972 hit 'You're So Vain' for Manson's album 'Born Villain'.
The actor also provided slide guitar on the Oasis track 'Fade In-Out' on their 1997 album 'Be Here Now' after being invited to play on the LP by Noel Gallagher, who he was close friends with at the time due to their respective relationships with Kate Moss and Meg Mathews.
It was recently claimed Johnny and Amber, 27, are planning on having an intimate wedding on the Hollywood star's private beach in the Bahamas.
A source said recently: "They're having a small intimate ceremony barefoot on the beach in Little Hall's Pond Cay.
"Afterwards they'll have a barbecue where some of Johnny's musician pals are going to perform, followed by limbo dancing.
"Neither Johnny nor Amber want a big, glitzy Hollywood bash. They are both very private."

U2 album inspired by krautrock

U2's new album was inspired by krautrockers Neu!.
The 'Vertigo' hitmakers unleashed their new single 'Invisible' during the commercials for the Super Bowl at the weekend and guitarist The Edge has revealed the band listened to a lot of German electronica which inspired them when they first started jamming in the 1970s.
He told BBC Radio 2: "For us it's been about turning to music that has inspired us in the first place, it's raw and definitely guitar driven and we've been influenced by German music of that era, the krautrock Can and Neu!, the authentic and original electronica that kick-started so many great movements around the world, still resonating in club cultures around the time that we were coming through. It was an interesting time.
"All we knew at that moment was that we couldn't repeat what had happened in the previous ten years, music had to really radically change. I guess we're all feeling like we're at that moment again. It's time for something new to kick off and hopefully we can be part of that in some way."
The band, which also features frontman Bono, bassist Adam Clayton and Larry Mullen, Jr., are adding the finishing touches to their album which will be out in coming months and they are still reliving the excitement from the Super Bowl, although The Edge didn't make it the game.
He said: "I actually went to New York, got very close to the Super Bowl but actually never made it, I ended up seeing it on TV and it was very exciting.
"To have one of the songs you've been working on for so long be out there.
"We've been working so long on this record you don't get out much, now we're out in the glare of public scrutiny and it's kind of like 'woah'."

Lauren Conrad has chosen wedding dress

Lauren Conrad has chosen her wedding dress.
The former 'The Hills' star recently claimed she was in no rush to marry her fiancé, William Tell, but has now hinted their wedding plans are well underway in Los Angeles.
Just one day after sharing a few romantic photographs from her recent engagement photo-shoot, the 28-year-old star wrote on Twitter on Tuesday (04.02.14): "Just had a pretty exciting meeting regarding a white dress."
Last month the blonde beauty, who is believed to be working closely with her chosen designer on her custom-made wedding gown, claimed she was in no hurry to tie the knot.
She said: "You have the rest of your life to be married. Enjoy falling in love. When girls get caught up in the timeline, it becomes more about the wedding than the marriage. You should be with someone with whom you could elope this weekend and be happy."
The fashion designer also admitted she was completely caught off guard when student Will, 33, proposed to her with the perfect ring in October after less than two years of dating.
She said: "I had no idea it was coming. I thought he would wait until he finished law school."
Discussing the ring, she added: "He didn't even ask my friends, which was a bold move. He said, 'I know you, and I know what you like.' And I love it. It's perfect."

Brandi Glanville joined Twitter to track LeAnn Rimes

Brandi Glanville only joined Twitter to keep an eye on LeAnn Rimes.
The 'Real Housewives of Beverly Hills' star set up a profile on the social networking site to track her ex-husband, Eddie Cibrian, and his 31-year-old wife, who tied the knot in 2011 after embarking on an affair on the set of the movie 'Northern Lights' that led to the breakdown of both of their first marriages in 2009.
In the first chapter of her upcoming second book, 'Drinking & Dating: P.S. Social Media Is Ruining Romance,' Brandi wrote: "When I first discovered the benefits of technology and social media. I used it to obsess about my husband, his future wife, and our children throughout the breakup and divorce."
Brandi, 41, has had a long-running public feud with 'Spitfire' hitmaker LeAnn, who she refers to as a "c**try singer," but the pair were thought to have buried the hatchet last year when the singer sent the reality TV star flowers for Mother's Day in May.
Brandi, who has sons, Jake, 10, and Mason, six, with Eddie, previously predicted her acrimonious relationship with LeAnn would drastically improve if the singer got pregnant because it would help her to learn boundaries as a mother and stepmother.
She said: "Hopefully, they'll have a child of their own and she'll understand better what a proper boundary is for a stepmother and a mother."

Ashley Greene buys $2.4 million home

Ashley Greene has bought a new home for $2.43 million.
The 'Twilight Saga' star, whose dog died when her West Hollywood condo went up in flames last year, has splashed out on a new mansion in Beverly Hills after leasing it for a few months.
Real estate sources told The Real Estalker website that the 26-year-old brunette beauty's new three-bedroom pad boasts a master suite with a private sitting room, swimming pool, steam shower, dry sauna and breath-taking views of Los Angeles as the 2,713 square-foot property is located in a private, gated community in one of the canyons.
Ashley, who is worth $10.5 million, was "inconsolable" when a fire, which started when a candle in her unit set a sofa ablaze, killed her Fox Terrier, Marlo, last March.
The building's doorman Adrian Mayorga filed a lawsuit against the actress in November, in which he claimed he was hurt running through the smoke-filled hallways, while yelling and screaming for residents to flee.
Four residents in neighbouring units have also sued, claiming the fire wreaked havoc on them with soot and water damage.
The 'Pan Am' star, who previously dated Joe Jonas, is currently in a relationship with Liam Hemsworth's best pal Paul Khoury.
The couple took his parents to the Super Bowl in New York City on Sunday (02.02.14).

Miley Cyrus has ditched cigarettes

Miley Cyrus is "proud" of herself for giving up cigarettes.
The 'Wrecking Ball' hitmaker, who previously admitted she regularly uses marijuana, has revealed she stopped smoking tobacco in early December.
She wrote on Twitter on Monday (03.02.14): "2 months no cigs #proudofmyself (sic)."
The 21-year-old star gave no indication about whether she intends to stop smoking other substances too but it seems unlikely given Miley gushed about her love of "weed" during an interview with Ronan Farrow for the March issue of W magazine.
She said: "I love weed. I just love getting stoned. I just want it to be back to where it's, like, organic, good weed."
Miley's good friend Demi Lovato hit out at celebrities who glamourize drugs earlier this week.
In a tribute to the late actor Philip Seymour Hoffman, who died of an apparent heroin overdose in New York City on Sunday (02.02.14), the 'Skyscraper' hitmaker, who has struggled with marijuana and cocaine abuse in the past, tweeted: "I wish more people would lose the stigma and treat addiction as the deadly and serious DISEASE that it is. Drugs are not something to glamorize in pop music or film to portray as harmless recreational fun."

George Clooney recalls being held at gun-point

George Clooney had a rifle held to his head in Darfur.
The 52-year-old actor admitted his thirst to "shine light" on important stories led to the traumatic experience when he was making a documentary about the genocide in western Sudan in 2007.
Recalling the incident, 'The Monuments Men' star told Variety magazine: "We got stopped in the middle of nowhere, where we shouldn't have been. A little 10-year-old kid came over with a Kalashnikov assault rifle to my head, basically wanted to get us out of the truck."
Despite the incident, George has returned to the region many times.
But the actor and producer insisted that while he feels very strongly about highlighting certain issues, he has no political aspirations.
He said: "I like the ability to shine light and make it loud. But boy, the idea of administrating and legislating. What a nightmare."
Following the terrifying encounter, the actor co-founded the humanitarian aid organisation Not On Our Watch with a few of his friends, including Matt Damon, Brad Pitt and Don Cheadle, six years ago.
George previously brushed off the ambush during an interview with Zoo Weekly in 2008 and said: "They pointed guns at us and stole what they could. It happens all the time."

Paul Walker’s daughter inherits $25 million

Paul Walker's daughter is set to inherit his $25 million fortune.
The 40-year-old actor, who perished alongside his friend Roger Rodas on November 30, when the car they were travelling in lost control and crashed in Santa Clarita, California, named his 15-year-old child, Meadow Rain Walker, as the sole beneficiary of his entire estate in his will.
'The Fast and the Furious' star appointed his father Paul Sr. as the executor, who has filed the will with a probate court, according to gossip website TMZ.com.
He has also petitioned to have the court appoint the late actor's mother, Cheryl Walker, as Meadow's legal guardian and the guardian of the teenager's $25 million fortune, as per his son's instructions in the will.
Meadow currently lives with her mother, Rebecca Soteros, but began living with her famous father full-time shortly before his tragic death.
A court hearing is set to take place later this month.
A source previously said that Paul was planning to give up acting to spend more time with Meadow and was thrilled she had moved in with him.
The insider said: "He was happier than you can imagine to have her living with him full-time. She was the love of his life, he was an amazing dad and he was so happy that she chose to live with him because he never felt like he got enough time with her."

Ke$ha postpones remianing US tour dates

Ke$ha has postponed the rest of her tour to focus on her health.
The 'Timber' hitmaker was set to resume her five-leg Warrior world tour, which kicked off in May 2013, next month but decided to cancel the remaining two US dates after checking into the Chicago-area Timberline Knolls Centre to seek treatment for anorexia and bulimia in early January.
The 26-year-old star released the following statement today (04.02.14): "I was so looking forward to performing at these dates but I need to follow my doctor's advice and get my health back on track."
Ke$ha was due to perform in Hammond, Indiana on March 15 and Green Bay, Wisconsin on April 13, but has now cleared her schedule in a bid to overcome her issues before re-entering the spotlight.
The 'Tik Tok' singer also thanked her fans for supporting her and giving her time to heal.
She said: "All of your support during this time has been so amazing," she said in the statement. "I couldn't have done this without you all. I look forward to coming back stronger than ever on the next tour."

Philip Seymour Hoffman’s funeral on Friday

Philip Seymour Hoffman will be laid to rest in New York City on Friday (07.02.14).
The 'Capote' star's funeral is set to take place at St. Ignatius of Loyola Roman Catholic Church in Manhattan shortly before noon.
The 46-year-old actor's family and friends, including a number of his famous co-stars, will also gather for a private wake at the nearby Frank E. Campbell Funeral home between 5 p.m. to 9 p.m. on Thursday (06.02.14), according to the New York Post.
Philip's long-term partner Mimi O'Donnell, who reportedly kicked him out of their house a few months ago in an act of "tough love" in a bid to get him to seek help for their three children, Cooper, 10, Tallulah, seven, and Willa, five, was spotted arriving at the funeral home with the late actor's personal assistant, Bella Wing-Davey, today (04.02.14) to make arrangements for the services.
Meanwhile, police have revealed the Oscar-winning actor, who died from an apparent heroin overdose on Sunday (02.02.14), withdrew $1,200 from his bank account shortly before his death.
A law enforcement source said bank records show he took the money out in six instalments from the D'Agostino grocery store near his West Village apartment on Saturday night (01.02.14), and they are now trying to track down who sold him the drugs.
Philip, who had been sober for over 20 years before relapsing last year, recently predicted his drug addiction would kill him if he didn't get sober and police found 20 hypodermic needles and 50 packets of heroin in his apartment.

Lena Dunham praises Dylan Farrow

Lena Dunham has voiced her support for Dylan Farrow.
The 'Girls' creator and star praised Woody Allen's adopted daughter, 28, for being "courageous" after she penned an open letter over the weekend alleging the 'Blue Jasmine' director, 78, had abused her at the age of seven.
The 27-year-old actress shared a link to Dylan's letter on Twitter and wrote: "To share in this way is courageous, powerful and generous. Please read."
She added: "Grateful my timeline is full of so much love and respect for Dylan."
But Lena later hit back at some of her followers for suggesting Dylan had falsely accused her famous father, whose lawyer, Elkan Abramowitz, has since denied the allegations and claimed they were simply "implanted" by Dylan's mother and Woody's former partner Mia Farrow.
The Emmy-winning actress tweeted on Monday (03.02.14): "In wake of Dylan's letter I've noticed a lot of guys obsessed with the idea of being falsely accused.
"As if you would just be walking down the street one day, get accused of assault or sexual misconduct, and suddenly life would derail ...
"Though there have, of course, been plenty of terrible and unjust cases in the past, remember ... Most victims NEVER speak up. Most never feel they can.
"These are not stories we tell for fun, attention or revenge."
Dylan's claims were previously investigated and dismissed in 1992, and Woody's lawyer suggested they have only resurfaced now out of Mia's "desire to hurt" her former partner.
