Hollyoaks to kill off Fraser Black

'Hollyoaks' gangster Fraser Black is to be killed off in a dramatic new plot.
The menacing bar boss - played by Jesse Birdsall - meets his untimely end in a whodunnit storyline, the Channel 4 soap have confirmed in their spring trailer.
Several names will be in the frame, with the clip suggesting Fraser's protégée Trevor Royle (Greg Wood) finds out the truth about his boss' involvement in his father's death, Ste Hay (Kieran Richardson) seen by a burning car as he issues a warning to the sinister businessman and Joe Roscoe (Ayden Callaghan) waking from his coma.
A source told Digital Spy: "The village will be left not puzzled about who had a motive, but who didn't. Residents will be looking across the dinner table not knowing if they are sharing mealtimes with the person responsible."
The trailer also includes footage of Sinead Roscoe (Stephanie Davis) in a frantic dash to reach her baby daughter Katy before her health takes a turn for the worse, and Cindy Cunningham (Stephanie Wareing) appearing to confess to her involvement in the murder of Dr. Paul Browning, leaving her accomplices Lindsey Butterfield (Sophie Austin) and Mercedes Browning (Jennifer Metcalfe) in line for questioning.
Spring storylines will also see love in the air for Holly Cunningham (Amanda Clapham) and Jason Roscoe (Alfie Browne-Sykes) as she finally confirms her love for him, and Tom Cunningham (Ellis Hollins) and Peri Lomax share their first kiss.
However, Peri (Ruby O'Donnell) is later seen in hospital, while there is also shock for Maxine Minniver (Nicki Sanderson) who discovers she is pregnant - but with her abusive lover Patrick Blake (Jeremy Sheffield) having had a vasectomy, it looks likely a paternity riddle is on the cards.
John-Paul McQueen's (James Sutton) agony continues as her faces court for his attack on Robbie Roscoe (Charlie Wernham), but the schoolboy offers him a lifeline when he tells former friend Finn O'Connor(Keith Rice) he plans to confess all about their bullying, including his pal's rape of their teacher.
'Hollyoaks' airs weeknights at 6.30pm on Channel 4, with first look screenings at 7pm on E4.

OneRepublic kicked off UK tour in London

OneRepublic lit up London's Roundhouse as they kicked off their UK tour last night (16.03.14).
Frontman Ryan Tedder started the 90-minute Camden show by singing behind a giant white curtain, before it dropped to the floor and he bounded about the stage singing 'Light It Up' backed up by his band.
Despite admitting he was "fighting a cold", Ryan, who has written hits for everyone from Beyoncé to James Blunt, proved why he's also an in-demand singer and musician, after his band achieved phenomenal success with their hit single 'Counting Stars', which has had more than 211 million hits on YouTube.
They launched into 'Secrets' before shots of Abbey Road flashed up on a huge screen, along with scenes of a masquerade ball from their video for 'All The Right Moves'.
Ryan told the audience: "We've valued the UK quite possibly more than any other place we've toured from day one," which resulted in huge applause and the band were treated to 'What You Wanted' before the musician pulled out an acoustic guitar for 'Stop And Stare'.
'Something I Need' moved the crowd and was one of the highlights of the night before Ryan performed 'Apologize', his hit duet with Timbaland, as his neon piano flashed from red to blue, creating a stunning visual effect.
Ryan laughed and engaged in banter with a fan after they threw a giant pair of underpants onto the stage, which he described as "disgusting", adding, "They're much too big for me to wear."
His energy and soaring vocals were nothing short of surprising for those who hadn't yet witnessed the undercover king of pop live on stage.
Guitarist Zach Filkins's solo session of looped flamenco sounds also stunned fans, while bassist Brent Kutzle showcased his talent on the cello.
OneRepublic closed the show with 'Life In Color' and the anthemic 'If I Lose Myself', as confetti cannons were let off and the band hit giant glowing drums, creating a party atmosphere.
Fans were left wanting more, while those who doubted the band were made to eat their words.

Metallica showcase new song

Metallica have debuted a new track which is "representative" of their "creative headspace".
The group performed eight-minute long 'The Lords of Summer' at their show in Bogota, Colombia, last night (16.03.14) and drummer Lars Ulrich promised the track - the first original music since the 2012 EP 'Beyond Magnetic', which was comprised of outtakes from 2008 LP 'Death Magnetic' - is a good taster for fans of what they have coming up.
Speaking before the show, he told Rolling Stone: "We promised our fans we'd play a new song and we've been writing and creating away and we're going to throw something at them on Sunday.
"We have something lined up that is fairly representative of where our creative headspace is at right now. It's one of those things that's like, 'Here, we're writing and we're creating.' "
However, the rocker admitted the track may not survive onto their next album in its current state.
He added: "We did the same thing when we went out and played a bunch of dates in 2006. We were writing and played two different new songs over the course of that summer, and none of them made the record ['Death Magnetic'].
"One was called 'New Song 1' - going out on a creative limb, here - and the other was called 'New Song 2.' That's how deep we went. There was a couple of pieces in 'New Song 1,' some of the middle bit ended up in 'All Nightmare Long,' and the intro bit ended up in 'The End of the Line.' That's how we work; stuff just gets changed around, moved over and this goes over there and the rest of that gets sacked and that ends up in the intro in song five.
"So who knows what's going to happen with this stuff."

Nile Rodgers teases Adam Lambert and Avicii song

Nile Rodgers has teased an unreleased Adam Lambert and Avicii collaboration.
The guitarist took to Twitter to reveal he has been chatting to the singer about the unheard track, after the three musicians teamed up to create 'Lay Me Down' for Swedish DJ Avicii's debut album 'True', which was released last year.
The Chic man wrote: "Just had a great chat with @AdamLambert in Sweden about one of the awesome unreleased songs we wrote w @AVICII - Yeah! (sic)"
Fans were quick to respond, with one follower tweeting: "If it's released, we'll be waiting!", while another joked, "My god, Nile. Do you ever stop working for a moment? (sic)"
Meanwhile, the 61-year-old musician, who has had recent success collaborating with Daft Punk, recently found a collection of lost material that disco group Chic recorded nearly 30 years ago.
He said "I'm doing a new Chic album now. When I was working on my solo album and David Bowie's solo album back in 1883, I was cutting demos with my old band.
"I like to affectionately call it the 'Lost Chic Tapes' because they just disappeared until recently. I've already written hooks to five of the songs. They're so amazing."

Rufus Hound backs all-male panel show ban

Rufus Hound thinks all-male panel shows "should be a thing of the past".
The 35-year-old comedian - who was a panellist on 'Celebrity Juice' from 2008 to 2012 - has backed the BBC's decision to ban panels consisting of only men on its shows including 'Mock the Week' and 'Have I Got News for You'.
He said: "All-male panel shows should be a thing of the past because we live in a world awash with funny women.
"Panel shows often set out a combative premise because traditionally, men like the feeling of a fight, so the nature of those shows may have to change to allow women the tools to be as incredibly funny as they are.
Rufus feels it's unlikely talented female comics like the legendary Victoria Wood would agree to appear on panel shows in their current form because they are so testosterone-fuelled.
He explained to the Metro newspaper: "There's no way you're telling me Victoria Wood isn't funny but she wouldn't do a panel show in a month of Sundays.
"[Lorna] Watson and [Ingrid] Oliver, two funnier people I couldn't dream of spending my time with, but ask them to go on 'Mock the Week' and they'd rather be sick on themselves. It's just about growing up as a species."

Aneurin Barnard joins Cilla Black drama

Aneurin Barnard will star in 'Cilla' with Sheridan Smith.
'The White Queen' actor will play Cilla Black's husband Bobby Willis in the new three-part period drama which will chart the rise to fame of the legendary British entertainer in the 1960s.
Ed Stoppard, best known for his role in 'The Politician's Husband', has been hired to play iconic music manager Brian Epstein, who discovered Cilla and also managed The Beatles.
John Henshaw ('Downton Abbey') will play Cilla's father John White, while Melanie Hill is set to star as the singer's mother, Priscilla, also known by her friends and family as Big Cilla.
The drama, which was written by Oscar-nominated 'Philomena' scribe Jeff Pope, will follow Cilla as she chases her dream of becoming a recording artist. The series will depict her struggles with her baker husband Bobby, as well as her friendship with the legendary Beatles.
BAFTA-winning star Sheridan, who will bring Cilla's tale to life, said: "I am thrilled to be playing Cilla, as she is a British icon. In the '60s, as a young girl from Liverpool, she had numerous number ones and sang with The Beatles, her life story is fascinating."
Filming is currently under way in Liverpool.

Disney Channel orders British series Evermoor

Disney Channel will air a new mystery adventure series produced in Britain.
The global giant has tapped Lime Pictures - which produces 'Hollyoaks' and 'The Only Way is Essex' - to produce 'Evermoor', a new multi-part TV movie franchise, which will broadcast across the world in autumn 2014.
'Evermoor' follows an American teenager, Tara Bailey, who is uprooted from her surroundings in the US and moves to Evermoor, an idyllic English village which harbours some dark secrets.
Tara, her brother Jake, and her step-siblings Seb and Bella find themselves in the mix of "danger, mystery and intrigue" in the small town.
Filming will take place in North West England and Cheshire's stunning Arley Hall will double as the fictional Evermoor Manor.
The series marks Disney's first co-production with a British independent production company.
Disney's David Levine said: "'Evermoor' is a hugely exciting project with a gripping story that I'm sure with captivate our Disney Channel audience. The show's intriguing cast of characters also gives us a great opportunity to find exciting new talent."
Lime Pictures' Claire Poyser added: "We are delighted to be the first independent production company in the UK to work with Disney on a live action series to be aired worldwide including the US. 'Evermoor' extends Lime's reputation for producing fantastic children's drama that is inspiring for the whole family."

Warner Bros address unhappy Veronica Mars crowdfunders

Warner Bros have addressed unhappy 'Veronica Mars' fans whose money helped get the crowd-funded movie into cinemas.
Kristen Bell - who reprises her titular role in a movie spin-off of the cult classic TV series - and show creator Rob Thomas, raised over $5 million last year from avid viewers of the show, through crowd-funding website Kickstarter, to fund the big screen production.
It was initially promised that those who donated $35 or more would be given a digital copy of the film for free but many fans complained after they were unable to satisfactorily download their copy of the movie.
In a statement Warner Bros said: "If you paid for a copy of the movie a year ago, we don't want you to have less choice and freedom than people who decide to buy it today. And we definitely don't want you to end up paying twice just to see the movie on your preferred service. Please know that Warner Bros have given customer support a lot of freedom to help make things right, so if you're having issues, please let them know: they'll do their best to either help get Flixster working to your satisfaction, or, if you prefer, to provide an alternate solution."
The film picks up several years after the TV series ended and sees private investigator Veronica return to her hometown of Neptune, California, to solve one last crime when her former high school flame Logan Echolls (Jason Dohring) is charged with murdering his girlfriend.
'Veronica Mars' will feature numerous cameos from A-list stars including James Franco, Jamie Lee Curtis, Justin Long and Bell's husband Dax Shepard.

Tom Hardy ‘terrified’ filming Star Trek: Nemesis

Tom Hardy didn't drink for three months while filming 2002's 'Star Trek: Nemesis' since he was "terrified" of the role.
The 36-year-old star, who played Praetor Shinzon in the sci-fi film, insists he was "out of his depth" and extremely worried about how he was going to portray his character, which forced him to put all his energy into focusing on doing a good job.
He explained: "I was terrified. Everyday on that set, I was terrified - which worked for the character anyway. You can't hide that, the camera will pick it up. I was genuinely out of my depth. The whole thing was 'How can I do this?' I took it very seriously, with my technique. I didn't have a single drink when I did it - for three months. Friday night, nothing! I'd never been so focused in my life! I couldn't get the job done [otherwise]."
Hardy worked 17-hour days and was knackered by the time he got home, so all he wanted to do was sleep.
He told Total Film magazine: "I was working 17-hour days. When I came back I just slept - I was just constantly at work. A lot of the Enterprise stuff was shot thre months prior to me coming out. So they'd already shot half the movie before I turned up. So it was like walk in, straight in, out the frying pan, into the fire, get on with it."

Lindsay Lohan ‘sabotaged’ herself

Lindsay Lohan used to "sabotage" the good things in her life.
The 'Mean Girls' actress - who has been through a series of legal woes and endured several stints in rehab in recent years - admits she can't help do things she knows are "wrong" for her, such as smoking.
Speaking to life coach and trainer AJ Johnson on her docuseries 'Lindsay', she said: "Often I know what I'm doing is wrong but I go ahead and do it anyway.
"I used to sabotage things as soon as they started getting good."
Also on the show, Lindsay had a furious row with its production company Pilgrim which saw her refuse to be filmed after they withdrew a promised advance for her to get a new apartment.
Producer Craig Piligian told her in a phone call: "You and I have to have a better understanding because this is making me very frustrated.
"When you tell our production what you will and won't do, it doesn't work for me."
However, the 27-year-old star protested: "I never once said I'm not shooting it!"
Director Amy Rice then intervened to say: "There's a fear we're not going to get this footage from you."
Furious Lindsay replied: "I was ready! You can't pull that s**t with me anymore. I am giving you no reason to feel that.
"So until I f*** up, you can't assume I am going to."
The row was eventually resolved and Lindsay moved into an apartment, which she said was a "relief".
She said: "It was such a relief to get the keys and finally have a place I can come home to.
"It was affecting my mental state, being in that [hotel] room, with all that clutter. It was hard."

Reluctant wedding guest Beyonce

Beyonce "doesn't want to" go to Kim Kardashian and Kanye West's wedding.
The 32-year-old singer - who married Jay Z in a low-key ceremony in April 2008 - reportedly thinks it is "tacky" the couple are planning to televise their nuptials on E! show 'Keeping Up with the Kardashians', but won't boycott the ceremony completely.
A source said: "[She told Jay Z and Kanye] that under no circumstances will she be a part of any filming on the wedding day if it's for Kim's reality show.
"Jay and Beyoncé's wedding was shrouded in secrecy and extreme lengths were made to make sure their wedding was an intimate affair for friends and family, only. This will be the complete opposite. She thinks it's just tacky.
"Beyoncé's motto has always been, less is more. But clearly when it comes to Kim, more means more.
"She knows she'll have to go to the wedding, but really does not to want to."
Kanye considers the couple - who have two-year-old daughter Blue Ivy together - "family" so Beyonce has promised to be there for his sake.
The source added to RadarOnline.com: "Make no mistake, the only reason Beyoncé is going to the wedding is because Jay is best friend's with Kanye."
It was previously claimed that Kim and Kanye - who have nine-month-old daughter North together - want all their guests to sign confidentiality agreements, but have agreed Jay Z and Beyonce won't have to comply with their strict security measures.
A source said: "There is no way Kanye would ever even dare to ask Jay or Beyonce to sign a non-disclosure agreement, or take away their cell phones. He knows that neither one of them would betray his trust."

Justin Bieber gets Banksy tattoo

Justin Bieber has got a new tattoo which resembles the work of Banksy.
The 20-year-old star has amassed a collection over 20 designs since he was first tattooed at the age of 16, and he's now added a new inking to his lower arm, which appears to be very similar to the street artist's iconic Balloon Girl piece.
The 'Boyfriend' hitmaker posted a picture of the tattoo to his Instagram account but later decided to take it down, although a Facebook account - which appears to belong to Banksy himself - had reposted the image with the caption "controversial" beforehand.
The head and arm of the Girl with a Balloon design is also visible in a photo posted by Glen Hartless - the tattoo artist who inked Justin's latest body art - which was accompanied by a caption thanking the heartthrob for the project last week.
He wrote: "Another late night working. Thanks for having me at your studio @justinbieber (sic)."
Justin's previous tattoos include an illustration of a compass on his tricep and a treble clef behind his left ear, both of which were unveiled in January, as well as a portrait of Jesus on his left calf and the world 'Believe' in a graffiti style design on his left forearm.
