Michelle Keegan tries to lose accent

Michelle Keegan is seeing a voice coach to help her lose her northern accent.
The brunette beauty plays brassy barmaid Tina McIntyre in 'Coronation Street', who is killed off in the soap tonight (27.05.14), and she's been trying to work on her dialect to make it easier to land future roles.
She told Radio Times magazine: "I'm having more training which I'm doing for confidence. I've been playing on character for over six years and I need to refresh.
"I'm having one-to-one classes and some dialect coaching for accents.
"I've got a very strong Manchester accent and it can be easier to get a part if you're able to neutralise it."
Michelle - who is engaged to former 'The Only Way Is Essex' star Mark Wright - has admitted leaving the show, which she joined in late 2007, was a massive decision.
She will be watching her last ever scenes, in which Tina meets a grisly end after falling from a balcony during a scuffle with a mystery killer, from the comfort of her dad's house.
She previously said: "That's where I watched the episode when I was first on, so I'm going to watch the last episode with him. It'll be quite emotional."

Collabro through to Britain’s Got Talent final

Collabro are the first act to make it through to the final of 'Britain's Got Talent'.
The five-man band, who sing songs from musical theatre, wowed the judges with their rendition of 'Bring Him Home' from the musical 'Les Misérables' on Monday night (26.05.14) and were also a big hit with viewers who voted to send them through to next month's final.
The singers were the first of seven acts who performed on last night's show to be put through and were later joined by Canadian magician Darcy Oake, who carried out an illusion which saw him disappear from a chair in the middle of the stage and return as a cameraman just metres away while in full view of the live audience.
The hunky contestant split the judges' opinions as David Walliams and Amanda Holden opted for comedy impressionist Jon Clegg while Simon Cowell and Alesha Dixon chose Darcy, which meant the decision then went to the public vote, which secured his spot in the final.
Meanwhile, 'Little Britain' star David angered his fellow judge Alesha earlier in the show by quipping she had lip-synced during her pop career.
The 'Drummer Boy' singer retaliated by pouring a glass of water over his head and said: "Excuse me, you're barking up the wrong tree."
David made the comments after Alesha criticised his Golden Buzzer choice Christian Spridon, who Simon referred to as "appalling" following his flamboyant rendition of 'It's Raining Men'.

EastEnders’ Khali Best suspended

'EastEnders' star Khali Best has been suspended for three months.
The 26-year-old actor - who plays Dexter Hartman on the BBC One soap - will take a leave of absence from the show as punishment for "bad behaviour backstage and outside of work", reports Digital Spy.
A BBC spokesperson said: "Khali Best has been suspended from 'EastEnders' for three months. We will not comment any further on this matter."
The shocking suspension comes after Khali, who joined 'EastEnders' last year, was named Best Newcomer at the National Television Awards in January.
Earlier this month, Khali was involved in a road collision when he crashed his £18,000 Audi A3 car in busy rush-hour morning traffic.
The star's vehicle collided with a van as Khali tried to drive past it, according to an eyewitness.
EastEnders' young cast has been rocked by a series of suspensions this year, as Khali's punishment comes just months after Ricky Norwood - who plays Arthur 'Fatboy' Chubb - was also banned from filming after a video emerged of him smoking marijuana.
The star, who was also alleged to have performed a sex act on camera, was suspended for two months "for bringing the show into disrepute".

Kanye West gifts Kim Kardashian with self portrait

Kanye West gifted Kim Kardashian with a portrait of herself.
The rapper, who married the 'Keeping Up with the Kardashians' star on Saturday (24.05.14) in Florence, Italy, commissioned London artist Bambi to paint a portrait of her to celebrate their nuptials.
A source told The Daily Star newspaper: "It's the first non-narcissistic thing Kanye has done because he specifically didn't want to be in the painting himself.
"He says he wants Kim looking as much like a princess as possible."
Kanye is splashing out on the painting since money is no object to him.
The insider continues: "Kanye has said he doesn't care how much the painting costs. This is likely to be Bambi's biggest sale to date."
Meanwhile, the newlyweds are on their honeymoon without their daughter North West.
The 11-month-old tot was seen leaving on a flight out of Italy with Kim's mother, Kris Jenner, after the wedding, while the reality TV star and her new husband landed in Ireland, where they are staying at the five-star Castlemartyr Resort in East Cork.

Justin Bieber flirts with model on Instagram

Justin Bieber has been flirting with model Yovanna Ventura on Instagram.
The 20-year-old star is rumoured to be dating the 18-year-old beauty and despite her referring to him as her "amigo", which means friend in Spanish, he appears to have been flirting with her on the picture sharing site.
Yovanna posted an image of herself trying on a figure hugging black dress for her high school prom and Justin later copied the image onto his own account adding the caption: "I see you in that Dolce Dress. Glad u had fun. 🙂 (sic)."
When the 'Boyfriend' hitmakers' rumoured love interest spotted her picture on his account she decided to return the compliment by posting a shot of him in a smart tailored suit at the Cannes film festival in France last week stating that he was her crush of the day.
She wrote: "#mcm [man crush Monday] looking great in that suit (sic)."
Although Justin - who split from his on-again-off-again girlfriend Selena Gomez earlier this year - didn't accompany Yovanna to her senior high school prom in Miami, the pair were reportedly seen "acting like a couple" after attending the boxer Floyd Mayweather's fight in Las Vegas earlier this month.
The brunette model posted a picture of herself and her rumoured love interest on Instagram following the event with the caption: "#lp #mayweather w' mi amigo @justinbieber (sic)."

Candy Spelling had to dump ‘bionic’ lover

Candy Spelling broke up with her "bionic" lover because she couldn't keep up with him.
Tori Spelling's mother has dished the dirt on her sex life following the death of her TV mogul husband Aaron Spelling in her new book, 'Candy at Last', and revealed she suffered from exhaustion due to her toyboy Larry's penile implant.
The 68-year-old star wrote: "My bionic man could go on for five or six hours, and there is no woman, middle-aged or otherwise, who wants to have sex for that long. It was like running a marathon."
She had to call it quits with Mr. "Pump and Dump", as her friends had nicknamed him, because he was "getting too attached" and she couldn't bear "those six-hour romps anymore".
Candy also discussed the tension between her and Tori, which began when the 'Beverly Hills 90210' star cut off communication with her shortly after her first marriage to Charlie Shanian.
The showbiz matriarch admits the first time she met Tori's current spouse, Dean McDermott, was at Aaron's funeral and they didn't patch things up until the birth of their son Liam.
Candy said: "We never discussed that painful period in our lives when we didn't speak. We just tried carefully to move past it."
The widow also set the record straight about Tori's alleged disinheritance from her father's will.
She added: "What nobody knew was that both Tori and (brother) Randy had already received disbursements from a trust while Aaron was still alive."

Snoop Dogg’s Monaco man ban

Snoop Dogg insisted that only girls were allowed into his VIP area as he partied in Monaco over the weekend.
The rapper was in the principality for the Grand Prix - which took place on Sunday (25.05.14) - and after enjoying the Formula 1 race he partied at the Infiniti Podium Lounge at the Grimaldi Forum in Monte Carlo.
Snoop arrived at the party at around 2am pulling up with his entourage outside in a convoy of four blacked out cars.
As he entered the exclusive event and was led up the stairs to his private VIP section, Snoop announced his man ban which even included guys from his own entourage and male waiters.
An onlooker at the party said: "Snoop was very strict about his no-men policy, even male members of his own entourage had to stand outside his roped off area.
"Women were flocking to his table and were all over him to get his attention, he was totally mobbed. As soon as he arrived it was as if the whole club migrated towards his end of the party. There was a queue six deep of women trying to get in his VIP room and there were quite a few boyfriends who weren't happy that their girlfriends had gone into his section."
Snoop, 42, was enjoying partying with the bevy of beauties so much that he didn't want to leave when the bash - which was held on a penthouse terrace overlooking the race track - had to end.
The source added: "The women at the party were absolutely stunning and Snoop didn't want to leave at the end of the event."

Kendall Jenner pays $1.39m for LA condo

Kendall Jenner has bought a luxurious Los Angeles condo for $1.39 million.
The 18-year-old model has splashed out the big sum on the two-bedroom apartment which is located in a high-rise building near Westwood.
The property boasts a panoramic view of Los Angeles and has two-and-a-half bathrooms, while the building has 24-hour valet parking, a gym for residents, wine cellar, heated pool, and concierge and doorman service.
Although 'Keeping Up with the Kardashians' star Kendall is the daughter of Kris Jenner and Bruce Jenner and has enjoyed a lavish lifestyle her entire life, the teen star has purchased the condo herself.
According to TMZ.com, Kendall took out a $910,000 mortgage on the property, and although her mother Kris is listed in documents for the purchase she did not put in any cash.
Kendall acted as a bridesmaid at her half-sister Kim Kardashian's wedding to Kanye West at Forte di Belvedere in Florence, Italy, on Saturday (24.05.14).
The other bridesmaids were Kendall's sister Kylie Jenner, 16, and half-siblings Kourtney Kardashian, 35, Khloé Kardashian, 29, while Bruce walked his stepdaughter Kim, 33, down the aisle.
The newlyweds are now enjoying their Honeymoon in Cork, Ireland.

Bryan Singer back for X-Men: Apocalypse

Bryan Singer will direct 'X-Men: Apocalypse'.
The filmmaker is returning to helm the next chapter of the mutant superhero movie, despite being hit with two sexual abuse lawsuits in recent months.
Asked whether Singer would be back, producer Simon Kinberg told the Daily Beast: "That's the plan."
The follow-up film to current blockbuster 'X-Men: Days of Future Past' - which has made $302 million at the global box-office - is set to focus primarily on the younger generation of superheroes, including Jennifer Lawrence's Mystique and James McAvoy's Professor X, but will also feature the older characters like Sir Ian McKellen's Magneto.
Kinberg said: "It will focus primarily on the 'First Class' cast, but it will certainly have some of the original cast involved, too."
Singer strenuously denies claims he sexually abused two men when they were teenagers and Kinberg naturally refused to comment on the allegations.
The producer added: "Well, I don't really want to speak on anything outside the movie, but I believe Bryan created the template for the modern superhero movie.
"I remember where I was when I saw 'X-Men,' and I thought he redefined the way people made comic book films."
'X-Men: Apocalypse' is set for release on May 27, 2016.

Karen Gillan to star In A Valley Of Violence

Karen Gillan has been cast 'In A Valley Of Violence'.
The 26-year-old actress - who is known for her role as Amy Pond in the British sci-fi series 'Doctor Who' - will reportedly star opposite Ethan Hawke, John Travolta and Taissa Farmiga in the western.
Gillan and Farmiga play sisters who run a hotel in a small town in the 1890s and they're caught in Hawke's mission to seek vengeance for his murdered best friend.
The forthcoming film which will be directed by 'The House Of The Devil' helmer Ti West and will see Gillian reunite with Blumouse Productions, the company behind horror 'Oculus', where she landed a starring role as Kaylie Russell.
Gillan will hit the big screen later this year in 'Guardians of the Galaxy' as Nebula, after she shaved her head for the role. Talking about the character, she previously said: "She is the female villain of the film. She teams up with Lee Pace who is the male villain. She is very sadistic and evil, but I like to think for a very valid reason."
She is also slated to play the lead role in the upcoming U.S. comedy series 'Selfie', which is loosely based on 'My Fair Lady'.

Sam Smith told to curb partying ways

Sam Smith has been told to curb his partying ways and concentrate on promoting his debut album.
The 'Lay Me Down' singer, who won the BRITs Critics' Choice Award this year, has been making the most of his new found fame by partying with celebrity friends, including model Daisy Lowe, but his management want him to calm down and focus on his music.
A source told The Daily Mirror newspaper: "Sam's been catapulted into success and he's only 22, so who wouldn't want to take advantage of all the free bars and cool parties? But he's also at a crucial point in his music career and is about to release his first solo album [In The Lonely Hour].
"So his team want people talking about that, not what he got up to in a nightclub the night before."
Sam's album, featuring hits 'Money On My Mind' and 'Latch', was released yesterday (26.05.14) and already music bosses want him to be looking ahead at writing material for the follow-up.
The source added: "Sam's such a great talent the people around him don't want him to get caught up in that hard partying scene, which is why they've been insistent that he gets back to the studio to carry on working on his music.
"Plus, it has the added bonus of keeping him away from any bad influences that may distract him."
Despite his new found fame and busy social life, Sam, who celebrated his birthday last week, previously claimed his record is about being a lonely 21 year old, and thanked fans for changing his life over the past few years.
He said: "I truly hope you love this album. I hope it is the soundtrack to all of those lonely moments. It helped me through mine."

Kasabian slam MJ hologram tour

Kasabian's Tom Meighan has slammed the possible tour of a Michael Jackson hologram, after the pop icon was 'resurrected' at this year's Billboard Music Awards.
The frontman is less than impressed by plans for the holographic image to visit arenas for Michael's fans to watch it perform a full show of hits.
Tom told The Daily Star newspaper: "I blame money. Holograms are not real. You've gotta be mental mate, it's ridiculous."
Guitarist Serge Pizzorno was also disgusted by the plans, despite Michael's family being overwhelmed by the hologram show, and claims tour promoters are going too far.
He said: "It's disgusting, they should leave the guy alone man, it's awful, it's done, let it be.
"They could bring John Lennon back next week. He's dead. Let's bring Elvis back, let's put Elvis on tour around arenas."
Despite their opinions on the Prince of Pop's hologram, the band - also made up of Chris Edwards and Ian Matthews - claim they are fans of the 'Thriller' hitmaker and were inspired by his moves.
Tom said: "I've been studying his stage act since I was three years old, and what we want is to give off that same power.
"But no-one can be Michael Jackson, he's too incredible."
Meanwhile, the band are also concerned about the state of the indie music scene in Britain and claim there a lot of "liars" and "fake bands and fake people."
Serge explained: "Rock music is about the realness, that's what sets it apart and that's what's disappeared."
Tom added: "The fact for me is that there are no big songs anymore. We unite people and give them what they really want and they're out friends and they get to escape.
"That's rock 'n' roll music and people believe it and that's great."
Kasabian's new single Eez-eh is released next week, taken from their next album '48: 13'.
