Eric Clapton is quitting touring.
The 69-year-old guitarist finds travelling "unbearable" these days and he worries about becoming "embarrassing", but he won't give up music completely.
He said: ""The road has become unbearable.
"It's unapproachable, because it takes so long to get anywhere - and it's hostile. Everywhere. Getting in and out of airports, getting on planes, travelling in cars....
"There are tons of things I'd like to do - but I'm looking at retirement, too. I'm 70 next year.
"I think what I'll allow myself to do, within reason, is carry on recording in the studio... I don't want to go off the boil to the point where I'm embarrassing myself."
And the former Cream musician - who is nicknamed Slowhand - admits he is anticipating he may one day have to give up music altogether.
Asked if he can imagine a time when he will no longer play guitar, he told the new issue of Uncut magazine: "Maybe. Physically, it might be that I can't, if it hurts too much. I have odd ailments."
The 'Wonderful Tonight' star also claimed he thinks driving will eventually be illegal.
He said: "I'm thinking that maybe in 10, 15 years, driving will have become illegal - because they'll have introduced another form of transport, with robot cars and things. You won't be allowed to drive."
All four 'Strictly Come Dancing' judges have signed on for the new series.
Len Goodman, Craig Revel Horwood, Darcey Bussell and Bruno Tonioli will return to judge this year's crop of celebrities' ballroom dancing moves, the BBC has confirmed.
Head judge Len recently hinted he might follow former host Sir Bruce Forsyth into retirement, but has decided to come back for series 12 of the popular contest.
An insider told The Sun newspaper: "There had been fears Len might call it a day like Brucie but he has now signed.
"With ITV revamping 'The X Factor', the BBC is going to have a big battle to keep 'Strictly' out in front. They will be happy they have their judging panel secured."
The four judges will be joined by the new, all-female presenting double act of Tess Daly and Claudia Winkleman.
Meanwhile, show bosses are rumoured to be close to signing up the first stars for the show.
Tennis champion Andy Murray's mum Judith, The Saturdays singer Frankie Sandford, Radio 1 DJ Greg James and former 'Coronation Street' actress Michelle Collins are all thought to be joining the line-up.
Olivia Palermo has got married.
The 28-year-old beauty reportedly secretly tied the knot with German model Johannes Huebl - who she has been in a relationship with since 2008 - at Manhattan's City Hall last Saturday (21.06.14), with just three guests in tow.
The couple had reportedly planned to tie the knot in St. Barts - where Johannes proposed last December - later this year but brought the date forward as the model had been experiencing issues with his visa which may have meant he had to leave the US sooner.
A source told the New York Post newspaper: "They were planning a big wedding in the fall, but Johannes left Wilhelmina Models last year, and he currently isn't with an agency, and was told he would have to leave the US in September.
"Olivia's friends were surprised when they got married at City Hall on Saturday, with the only guests being his friend Ulli Saeuberlich and her parents, who weren't happy with the rush, but decided to be there at the last minute."
However, a spokesperson for the former 'City' star insisted they are "not married yet", though she did admit they were planning a small ceremony this month ahead of a bigger celebration later.
Barbara Saint-Aime insisted: "They had always planned to have a small civil wedding in June. The whole visa thing is not relevant. They have been together for six-and-a-half years, they got engaged this past January. They travel so much during the summer, they really don't have much time to plan things. They are not married yet. They are doing a much smaller civil ceremony in the States this month and they are planning to do something much larger later on."
Olivia previously hinted she planned to marry outside of the US.
She said recently: "Johannes' friends and family are all over Europe and my parents are happy to travel, so it will probably be somewhere in the middle. Then you will always have a special place in your heart for the destination where you got married."
Shia LaBeouf has been arrested for disorderly conduct and criminal trespass.
The troubled actor was handcuffed and escorted out of a Broadway performance of 'Cabaret' yesterday (26.06.14) after he reportedly began yelling erratically and slapping people's backsides.
A NYPD spokesperson told Us Weekly: "[Shia] has been charged with disorderly conduct. He was also charged with criminal trespass. While at Studio 54 he was upsetting patrons, being loud and yelling. He'll be jailed. There will be a court appearance for this matter."
An eye-witness added to the publication: "Shia seemed out of sorts. He was interacting with strangers during the show and slapping peoples' backsides. He was trying to avoid the police and fell. Then he was cursing at the police while being taken into custody."
The 28-year-old actor - who has sparked fears for his mental health in recent months - reportedly had tears in his eyes as he was led out of the New York City musical, which stars Michelle Williams and Alan Cumming, during the intermission.
Another source revealed that the 'Transformers' star was "harassing audience members, harassing actors on the stage, and chain smoking inside the theater."
The bizarre incident comes after Shia declared he intended to retire from acting and "all public life" following "attacks against his artistic integrity".
The star has had a difficult few months, culminating in him storming out of a 'Nymphomaniac' press conference in Berlin before arriving on the red carpet for the film's German premiere wearing a paper bag on his head that read, "I am not famous anymore."
He was also forced to apologise for alleged plagiarism and starred in his own silent art installation in Los Angeles.
Meanwhile, stars including 'Girls' creator Lena Dunham have been reacting to the news on Twitter.
She joked: "I feel you Shia: In 1993 I was carried out of Les Mis screaming because I couldn't handle the intimations of death.
"You know you're a f**kin' G when you're arrested during Cabaret. (sic)"
Cheryl Cole's new boyfriend is planning a birthday party for her.
The 'Crazy Stupid Love' hitmaker will turn 31 next Monday (30.06.14) and her French lover Jean-Bernard Fernandez-Versini is eager to help her celebrate in style by throwing a lavish bash for her over the weekend.
The 33-year-old restaurant owner is hoping to reserve new celebrity hotspot Chiltern Firehouse in west London for the exclusive party, which will be catered by his own eatery, Cosy Box.
Guests are expected to include 'X Factor' boss Simon Cowell and Cheryl's closest friends, her former Girls Aloud bandmates Kimberley Walsh and Nicola Roberts.
A source told the Daily Star newspaper: "Cheryl knows there's going to be a party, but doesn't know all the details yet.
"But she's excited and has already invited her friends along, including Simon Cowell and former Girls Aloud bandmates Kimberley Walsh and Nicola Roberts."
Cheryl can't wait to celebrate her 31st birthday with her new man, but it seems the star is hoping for a simpler affair than her raucous getaway to Las Vegas for her 30th birthday last year.
The insider added: "The best thing about this birthday for Cheryl is that she'll have Jean-Bernard on her arm for the whole weekend.
"She's excited to show him off to her nearest and dearest. However, she doesn't want it to be as boozy as her 30th was last year."
Ellie Goulding finds it hard to maintain a relationship because of her job.
The 27-year-old singer admits it's a constant battle to keep the romance alive in her relationship with McFly musician Dougie Poynter, 26, as she's required to jet around the world for her pop career.
She explained: "I've definitely met someone. You get to know someone who makes you very happy and then you go away on tour, right when it was just getting somewhere awesome. It's not fun, but we can make it work. Love is beyond everything, beyond the universe."
The 'Beating Heart' songstress - who recently earned a BRIT Award for Best Female Solo Artist - also confessed she only discovered her passion for music after taking up guitar playing to impress a love interest.
She told Self magazine: "I started playing guitar to impress a guy, but all of a sudden I was more engrossed in the guitar than the guy and playing it became my everything. It was a big deal, because I started singing my own songs."
Ellie's road to pop stardom wasn't without its difficulties, however, as the singer was crippled by anxiety while recording her debut album 'Lights'.
She recalled: "I'd have these faux heart attacks that felt real. There was so much adrenalin."
Charlotte Crosby blames 'Geordie Shore' for her weight gain.
The 23-year-old star claims the MTV reality show is the reason for her change in figure, admitting she's gained three stone and gone up two dress sizes while filming the upcoming eighth series.
She explained: "It's hard on the show because we film for six weeks at a time and it involves constant drinking and eating pizzas and kebabs. It's nearly impossible not to put on weight."
The 'Celebrity Big Brother' winner was at "rock bottom" over her figure after taking part in the Channel 5 reality show and spent the next two months working out and eating healthily, but she's since struggled to keep the weight off.
Charlotte confessed: "I know I've been naughty with my diet, even when I'm not filming. I just love junk food. I can't drive past a McDonald's without going in for a burger and fries.
"I'd love to tone up and get back to a size 10, but it's not easy. If losing weight was easy, everyone would be able to do it."
Meanwhile, Charlotte has admitted her relationship with boyfriend Mitch Jenkins is better than ever.
She told Closer magazine: "Thing are great with Mitch. I would love to be married by the time I'm 30, but that's a fair few years off."
Jonathan Ross was shocked at how polite David and Victoria Beckham's children are.
'The Jonathan Ross Show' host has interviewed the former soccer star on numerous occasions but admits he was surprised by how well-mannered his children - Brooklyn, 15, Romeo, 12, Cruz, nine, and two-year-old Harper - were when he met them and their fashion designer mother at an event.
Quizzed whether he felt sorry for them having to cope with their parents' fame, he said: "No, I don't, because Victoria and David are such cool people and such good parents. I met them out years ago with their kids and you couldn't have met a more polite, sweet-natured bunch of children."
The 53-year-old TV star also explained that while he can understand why people would think the kids are spoilt, he doesn't think there's any reason why they'd be impolite.
He told heat magazine: "They were so well-mannered and, oddly, I don't think people would expect that, but they've raised those kids great."
One young star Jonathan isn't impressed by, however, is Justin Bieber, who was recently forced to apologise after videos emerged of him telling racist jokes as a teenager.
Jonathan said: "I like Justin - he's a nice guy and he's clearly a very talented young man. But at the moment someone needs to tell him to f***ing calm down, you know, because he's acting like a goon."
Skrillex wants to work with Kasabian.
The DJ is a big fan of the Glastonbury headliners and is hoping he can join forces with the 'Fire' hitmakers for a musical collaboration in future.
He told NME: "I love Kasabian. I'd work with them for sure, if it was natural and there was a vibe. Who knows what it would sound like - you never plan it."
Skrillex is playing The Other Stage at the Worthy Farm festival tonight (27.06.14) and revealed he will also be performing two extra sets following his 10.30pm headline slot.
The music producer is most looking forward to seeing controversial Saturday night (28.06.14) headliners, thrash metal band Metallica, and thinks the crowd is going to have a change of heart when they witness the rockers' amazing stage presence firsthand.
He enthused: "I definitely want to see Metallica - they're going to f**king kill it. What do you think? It's Metallica.
"Between the times I've played with Metallica and even when I was young, just seeing them, they're so good live. The crowds are always crazy and they're so cool."
50 Cent has joined the cast of 'Southpaw'.
The 'Candy Shop' rapper will star alongside Jake Gyllenhaal, Forest Whitaker, Lupita Nyong'o and Rachel McAdams in the boxing movie, in which he will play a promoter who is part of Gyllenhaal's central character's entourage.
50 has already begun filming under director Antoine Fuqua in Pittsburgh, the New York Post's Page Six column reports.
The film centres on the welterweight boxer as he struggles to improve his career as he battles with substance abuse.
Nyong'o's social worker character will care for the sportsman's daughter and her profession will eventually lead her to become involved in the life of the fallen boxer.
Fuqua recently spoke about his passion for the movie, and how delighted it was when it changed studios and he was able to sign on to direct.
He said: "'Southpaw' was with DreamWorks, that's when I got the job.
"I have a great passion for that project, and I met with [Steven] Spielberg about it, and I loved it. The timing of that didn't work up. And I spoke with Harvey Weinstein, and he loved it from the beginning. So I said, let's do it. So he went over and talked to them, and Harvey has it now."
Courteney Cox is engaged to Johnny McDaid.
The 'Friends' actress and her Snow Patrol beau shared the good news with their fans by each posting on Twitter "I'm engaged to him!" and "I'm engaged to her!" on Thursday night (26.06.14).
The lovebirds have only been dating for six months were first spotted out together in December when they attended Courteney's close pal Jennifer Aniston's holiday party in Los Angeles.
Suspicions were raised that things were moving very fast when the couple's friend Ed Sheeran - who introduced them to one another - spilled the beans about them moving in together in April.
Johnny, 37, and his band collaborated with the 'Cougar Town' star on her directorial debut, 'Just Before I Go', and he opened up about his relationship with the actress for the first time at the film's premiere.
The Northern Irish guitarist gushed: "Courteney is the most completely confident person I've ever met - at everything. She gets music. She gets art. She gets the way a scene gets constructed, the way dialogue works.
"And she puts it all together in her mind and then explains it to the world and makes movies that make people laugh and cry, squirm and jump, all those things."
Courteney, who has just celebrated her 50th birthday, finalized her divorce from her ex-husband David Arquette, in May 2013 just before their 14th wedding anniversary.
They remain on good terms and share custody of their 10-year-old daughter Coco.
Metallica claim they won't perform into their 70s like The Rolling Stones.
The heavy metal band - made up of James Hetfield, Rob Trujillo, Lars Ulrich and Kirk Hammett - are in their 50s and admit their intense sets take a massive toll on their bodies.
Kirk said: "I saw the Stones last year in San Francisco and I thought they played fucking great, and for a bunch of guys who are 70-plus, it was a pretty amazing feat.
"I don't know if we can do what we do when we're in our 70s, because playing one of our songs is equal to playing eight Stones songs in terms of physical energy and intensity."
The 51-year-old guitarist hopes the band can work out a plan which means they can play for the next 20 years but he's not very hopeful.
He said: "I personally think we have another 10. Maybe that's one album, maybe that's two albums, I don't know."
The band claim there has been a lot of talk about how they need to "get our sh*t together" and release another record, the follow-up to 2008's 'Death Magnetic', but admit fans will have to wait a while longer.
Kirk said: "Getting the space and time to do it is what we need. We've already been writing, but there's still a lot to go.
"After this summer we're gonna work on it some more and see how it shapes up, but yeah... 2015, 2016, maybe? It's a f***ing long time, man."
Metallica will headline this year's Glastonbury festival with Kasabian and Arcade Fire.
