Michael Douglas insists "nothing" surprises him anymore.
The 69-year-old actor - who has battled tongue cancer and split briefly from second wife Catherine Zeta-Jones last year - identified a lot with his new film 'And So It Goes', in which he plays a man whose granddaughter moves in with him after her drug-addicted father is sent to prison because of his own experiences with son Cameron, who has been incarcerated for drug offences since 2009.
Asked if his own experiences drew him to the movie, he told the New York Post newspaper's Page Six column: "You read a script and you smile in those pieces...that come close to your story.
"I guess at this point in my life, at my age, you've gone through so many things that nothing really surprises you."
Michael - who has children Dylan, 13, and 11-year-old Carys with Catherine - had the option to make changes to the script, but was happy with the dialogue he was given.
Director Rob Reiner said: "He said just leave it the way it is. It obviously must have been tough for him."
The 'Behind the Candelabra' actor recently admitted he has learned to appreciate his wife more as he has gotten older.
He said: "A lot of it has to do with age. When you've accomplished a certain amount in your career, you're not so focused on your ambitions. It makes you appreciate - and hopefully you do that sooner rather than later - the value of your partner."
Kanye West reportedly had a meltdown over the colour of his linen at Wireless Festival.
The 'Stronger' rapper apparently sent festival organisers into a frenzy over the weekend when they were informed by Kanye's team that he could only have pristine white furnishings in his dressing room, mere hours before his arrival at the London event.
A source told the Daily Mirror newspaper: "Kanye will only ever have a white dressing room, and this is usually included in his rider. But for some reason, there was black linen in his dressing room on the Finsbury Park site. This could not be allowed to happen. Organisers were told to get rid and replace it with the white stuff or Kanye wouldn't set a foot in there.
"Over the next few hours, festival staff were dispersed all over town to buy new crisp, white linen to replace it all. It was chaotic, but nobody wanted to upset Kanye. Especially as he'd stepped in to replace Drake at the last minute. There was pure panic for a while, but luckily, some were sourced just in time."
Kanye - who has 12-month-old daughter North with wife Kim Kardashian - is said to prefer having an all-white dressing room because the peaceful colour helps him relax before taking to the stage.
An insider close to the star explained: "His tour management requested the switch from the black linen because it's their job to make the artist comfortable before he goes on stage.
"And Kanye is most comfortable when he's surrounded by white. It's just about having a serene place to relax before a big performance."
This kind of request isn't unusual for Kanye as last year he famously demanded that his special white carpet backstage at the BBC be ironed before his arrival.
Cara Delevingne has hired a nanny for her pet rabbit.
The 21-year-old supermodel has reportedly sought an extra pair of hands to look after her beloved bunny, Cecil, as the floppy-eared animal is proving more difficult to handle than she expected.
A source told the Daily Star newspaper: "Cara loves Cecil but he's tiring her out. She never thought a little rabbit would be so much hard work. At the moment she simply has too many commitments to give him the full attention he needs.
"But giving him away is not an option, so she decided an extra pair of hands was the way forward."
Cara adopted Cecil earlier this year after she posed with the adorable rabbit on a fashion photoshoot.
The stunning starlet has even set up an Instagram account for her prized pet, which has amassed over 100,000 followers.
Cara is said to be so eager to have Cecil by her side at all times she's asked Virgin Media V Festival organisers to create a special area in the Louder Lounge for him to roam free with an all-you-can-eat supply of carrots next month.
Meanwhile, Cara's ex Michelle Rodriguez has been spotted kissing hunky actor Zac Efron on a yacht in Sardinia this week.
Jake Bugg wants to move to America.
The 'Lightning Bolt' singer is keen to crack the US, but worries about the practicalities of making the move and for now is keen to visit little and often to help his career Stateside.
He said: "It's just a different beat. It's a big country and to get anywhere you've got to take time out and spend a lot of time there. I think just keep going over there and nipping over there and see how they react.
"I have a lot of influence from there. I'd like to live in America at some point.
"I think the health insurance is quite a lot though."
The 20-year-old singer is incredibly busy with gigs at the moment, but when he has time off, he enjoys doing practical tasks like laundry.
He told Absolute Radio: "I do need to get some laundry done to be honest. Well I've had a couple of days off, so when you've got a few days off and you're in the same hotel you just let your suitcase breathes a little bit.
"Everyone likes a fresh pair of socks though, don't they? It's nice to have a clean pair, if they're new or not, it doesn't matter - they've got to be clean."
Jake is now looking ahead to some more festival performances this summer and has mixed feelings about performing so high on the bills.
He said: "More festivals. There's Reading and Leeds. I've got T in the Park. I'm pretty high up on the bills this year, so I'm really looking forward to it, but also slight apprehensive because you just don't know what's going to happen, then touring until the end of the year."
The full interview with Jake is available at www.absoluteradio.co.uk.
Example recorded his new album with a "magic mic" used by Madonna.
The 32-year-old singer was awed to learn he was using the same microphone used by the iconic pop star when he got into the recording studio in Los Angeles to lay down tracks for his new album, 'Live Life Living'.
Example even credits the "magic" recording equipment with helping him create his best songs yet.
He explained: "I was recording on this microphone in LA and I was like, 'This mic is f***ing amazing.' When you hear the opening track on the album my voice has a sound quality that I've never been able to capture before.
"Stuart [Price, producer] said, 'Oh this is the mic we did the whole of the 'Confessions on the Dance Floor' album with.'
"I've used famous microphones before like Sinatra's, but Madonna's mic was special.
"There's a certain mystique around it that you can't explain, because that album reignited her career, I don't think she's had the same success since. It must be the magic mic!"
While he's confident in the music he's recorded, Example - real name Elliot Gleave - admits he does have some worries about the album's chart prospects.
He told the Daily Star newspaper: "The industry is going through a lot of changes and nobody seems to care about albums any more."

He told new! magazine: "I'm really excited now I've got my head around it - it definitely wasn't planned!"
He also revealed they have discussed marriage, but his plans to propose this year have been delayed by the surprising news.
He added: "I was going to propose this year, then she said she was having a baby so I was like, 'Oh, I'll save it for next year' ... This is the longest relationship I've ever been in and the first time I've ever been in love.
"Caroline's got a heart of gold - I couldn't have picked a better woman."
Speaking recently about their unborn baby - who is due in autumn - Adam described this as his "best year ever", both professionally and personally.
He said: "This has been my best year ever -- at work and outside of work -- and I can't wait for what happens next.
"Life's honestly the best it's ever been. Everything I'm doing is really exciting -- I feel very lucky."

Olivia Munn is obsessed with Johnny Depp's moustache in 'Mortdecai'.
The 34-year-old beauty stars alongside the 'Pirates of the Caribbean' actor in the upcoming action-comedy in which he takes on the role of art dealer Charles Mortdecai, and she's revealed their character's both have very big personalities.
Quizzed on what it was like to make the movie, she told Collider: "Working with Johnny is so much fun because he is so much this character and it so much fun to play opposite him.
"My character and his character, we both have very big characters who have very big ways of living their lives. And my character has some moustache fetishes and things that come with that.
"But it was fun because, when you're playing against somebody else who plays such big characters, but in a very real way, that's the most fun."
Munn also admitted that she felt as though she'd won the lottery when she was given a role in the film, which will follow Depp's character as he searches for a stolen painting that's reportedly linked to a lost bank account filled with Nazi gold.
The 'Deliver Us From Evil' actress confessed: "These characters are very extreme, but to them they're just living life. And it was fun just to be allowed to play with that calibre of movie star.
"I've definitely often times felt like I won a raffle at the grocery store. It's like, 'Hey you guys. I have to be here, you have to let me be here because I got the ticket. So you can't make me go home."
'Mortdecai' - which also stars Gwyneth Paltrow and Ewan McGregor - is scheduled for release in February 2015.
Gillian Anderson has a crush on Ryan Gosling.
The 45-year-old actress thinks the 'Blue Jasmine' star has a magnetic effect on people in a similar way to fellow Hollywood hunks Tom Hardy and Bradley Cooper, and admits she would love to share a love scene with him.
Asked who she would like to star opposite in a romantic movie, she said: "I do have a healthy appreciation for Ryan Gosling. I don't know what it is. I haven't met him, but I read something recently that said that from the moment he walked into a room, nobody could concentrate on anything else.
"I think some men do have that effect. Bradley Cooper has it, and Tom Hardy, who I think is one of the most extraordinary actors of our time."
The 'Fall' actress also spoke of her belief that modern society has grown more "complicated" because women are so further ahead of men in all respects.
She told Glamour magazine: "I think the really complicated thing about life now is that men haven't caught up with us. I have feminist bones and when I hear things or see people react to women in certain ways I have very little tolerance."
Lana Del Rey feels confident when she's happy.
The 28-year-old singer admits she is more positive about her vocal abilities when she has things going on in her busy life that cause her to smile.
Speaking on 'The Zane Lowe show' on BBC Radio 1 last night (07.07.14), she said: "I think for me, what makes me confident changes every day ... but generally I would say confidence for me just comes from being really happy.
"And that could be anything down to my environment or being lucky enough to have my muse with me or [hearing] an amazing melody for the first time."
Meanwhile, the 'Summertime Sadness' star - whose real name is Elizabeth Woolridge Grant - believes people should grab every opportunity they can and find the strength within to explore different paths in life, but not be controlled by the obsession with money.
She explained: "I would feel at any point in my life that it was never too late to just sort of switch into any different lane or any different vein, you know, just to kind of be free enough to sort of explore things.
"I think that being worried about whether or not you're ever going to make money, I think that trips people up a lot."
Gavin Rossdale saved his dog from drowning at the weekend.
The 48-year-old musician rescued his pet Pomeranian, Chewy, from being swept out to sea after a huge wave at Miami beach pulled the tiny pooch under the water.
The Bush frontman had been playing in the sand with his sons Kingston, eight, and Zuma, five, and Rachel Zoe's husband Rodger Berman and their three-year-old son Skyler when the wave wiped out their four-legged friend.
Rodger immediately scooped up the children, but Gavin dived into the water to save Chewy after noticing that the tiny creature was struggling to swim back to shore.
Meanwhile, Gavin's wife Gwen Stefani and her fashion designer pal watched the ordeal from a balcony above, but were relieved to see their husbands had the situation under control, according to E! News.
Meanwhile, Gwen and Gavin, who also have three-month-old son Apollo together, believe after almost 12 years of marriage, their relationship couldn't be better.
Gavin said previously: "We have so many kids now, no matter what, it's rock solid."
When asked how he finds time to keep up the romance with his wife amidst their busy schedules, he jokingly added: "We don't, it's perfect. That's why we've been together for so long."
