He explained: "Its meaning translates to 'Love Yourself.' Selena already had it written out how she wanted. The tattoo is about 4 inches, and didn't take too long, probably about 30-45 minutes. The longest part is laying it out. We played with it a bit laying it out, until we found the perfect spot. She loved it; she flipped out."

Ashley Benson loves ‘freedom’ of independent film

Ashley Benson loves the "freedom and challenge" of independent film.
The 'Spring Breakers' actress - who is best known for playing Hanna Marin in TV show 'Pretty Little Liars' - is hoping to make more movies as she enjoys stepping away from the long-running show.
She said: "Film is where I want to head towards and every year I try.
"I'd love to do independent films, I think there's more freedom and more of a challenge.
"Because I've played the same character on the show for years, any chance I get to play someone completely different to who I am or what I've played before, I like to jump at."
While the 24-year-old star enjoyed working on 'Spring Breakers', she admits the level of recognition she received when out with co-stars Vanessa Hudgens and Selena Gomez was "crazy".
She told Company magazine: "When I went to Europe for the 'Spring Breakers' tour, that was nuts because I also had Selena and Vanessa with me. It just created a whole craze!
"I remember being in Paris and we were at a mall shopping, and we looked out of the window and there was thousands of people waiting outside - like we were the Beatles. It was like, 'Woah, this is crazy.' "

Jess Glynne: Urban music not ‘about race’

Jess Glynne doesn't think urban music should be "about race".
The 'Right Here' singer has defended Ed Sheeran against backlash after he topped BBC Radio 1Xtra's Power List - which celebrates "the most important U.K. artists on the current black and urban music scene" - and doesn't think the urban genre should be about the colour of one's skin.
She exclusively told BANG Showbiz: "To be honest with you, it's a genre of music, it's not about race. He's got f***ing good songs and he's a wicked artist. That's what he loves and that's what he does.
"If you're going to call it 'black music', you can't just make it one race. I think it's ridiculous.
"At the end of the day, soul and groove - yeah, OK, great, black music. But at the same time, white people, Asian people - anyone can [sing].
"I don't see the issue, if you love a type of music and you're good at it, why not be voted at the top of that?"
The 24-year-old singer surprised chicken lovers as she performed on top of Nando's food truck, the Cock O Van, at Lovebox festival in London's Victoria Park yesterday (19.07.14).
Jess sang her recently released solo single 'Right Here' and thrilled the crowd with her number one hit with Clean Bandit, 'Rather Be'.
Having topped the UK singles charts on two occasions - including a collaboration with Route 94 titled 'My Love' - the flame-haired singer admitted she has now set her "goals high" for her solo career.
Speaking after her performance, she explained: "I don't think it puts pressure on me, but it sets my goals very high. I don't ever like to make myself feel pressured but I put pressure on myself to do well - I think you have to."
Jess also revealed that her debut album will follow a more urban musical style and won't be as dance-centric as her songs with Route 94 and Clean Bandit.
She added: "The album's sounding really cool. I don't think people are expecting what they're going to be getting. I'm a very soul, R&B, hip-hop influenced girl. I love my pop as well, but my album's going to be inspired by what I love. It's definitely not going to be a dance or a house album."
Other performances atop the Cock O Van came from Bipolar Sunshine and Soul II Soul's Jazzie B.
The stars also enjoyed tasty PERi-PERi chicken from the Nando's food truck, including the chain's signature flame-grilled chicken wings and burgers.

M.I.A hit by power cut at Lovebox

M.I.A's performance at Lovebox was hit by a power cut.
The 'Paper Planes' singer - who was headlining the festival, held in London's Victoria Park, last night (19.06.14) - was forced to cut down her set after an audience member dislodged a power cable with their foot.
The incident - which happened just after the 39-year-old singer invited fans to join her on the stage - caused the screens at the side of the stage to go black and the sound to cut-out shortly afterwards.
Following a great deal of booing from the crowd, M.I.A - whose real name is Mathangi "Maya" Arulpragasam - left the stage while organisers fixed the issue before returning to play three more tracks including her hits 'Paper Planes' and 'Bad Girls, closing her show after an hour instead of the planned 90 minutes.
M.I.A had faced further difficulties earlier on in the set when she appeared noticeably frustrated by sound levels and repeated, "Turn my mic up", during her performance of 'Sunshowers' and 'Bring The Noize'.
It is thought that the 'Galang' hitmaker - who also asked for her bass to be turned up - was struggling to hear through her ear piece.
Meanwhile, the london-born star seemed very happy to be headlining the stage in her hometown after coming to the end of her tour for her new album 'Matangi'.
She shouted,'Big up London town' and demanded more noise from the festival's revellers.
Other headliners at the festival included rapper NAS, dance act Chase & Status and DJ Annie Mac.

Ant and Dec’s Saturday Night Takeaway US snub

Ant & Dec have reportedly been dropped from 'Saturday Night Takeaway' in the US.
The TV duo are huge stars in the UK, but bosses at a number of networks in the States - who are keen to adapt their series for a new audience - don't consider them viable hosts.
An insider told the Daily Star Sunday newspaper: "There is a lot of buzz about 'Saturday Night Takeaway'. Talent and reality shows are currently dominating prime time TV in America and people are looking for new ideas.
"Quizzes and game shows were a dying breed but many networks feel there is an opportunity for some different style to take off. 'SNT' could be just that.
"But Ant & Dec just aren't famous enough in the US to host it."
It is said fellow Brit and former 'SMTV Live' host Cat Deeley is in the running to replace them for the new version of their popular show.
The source added: "The presenter will be key to the show's success, so networks understandably don't want to risk two unknown faces from the UK, especially as US audiences can't understand what they are saying.
"Cat, however, is a good choice and is loved by the team behind 'SNT.' "

X Factor asks for universal rights?

Simon Cowell and 'The X Factor' are making contestants sign away personal rights on all forms of media "throughout the universe".
The media mogul's popular reality show has reportedly issued a contract to hopefuls for the next series, which includes them allowing the brand to use their likeness on platforms that haven't even been invented yet.
A source told The Sun on Sunday newspaper: "This is extreme by anyone's standards. Is it necessary to cover all media - including forms that don't exist - in the universe?
"Are they likely to get requests from outside Earth?"
According to reports, the audition release form requires the contestants to allow their audition tape to be "exploited ... throughout the universe ... in all media whether now known or hereafter invented".
Meanwhile, they must relinquish all copyright, while another clause relates to limiting gossip about certain stars.
As well as head judge Simon, hopefuls will also be bound by a gagging clause to stop them talking about his co-stars Cheryl Cole, Mel B or Louis Walsh.
The clause also protects hosts Dermot O'Leary and Sarah Jane Crawford, Syco and ITV.

One Direction are ‘family’

One Direction see one another as "family".
The 'Best Song Ever' hitmakers - consisting of Harry Styles, Niall Horan, Liam Payne, Zayn Malik and Louis Tomlinson - feel incredibly lucky to have developed such a strong relationship, which extends further than just friendship, in just three years.
Louis said: "I think 'family' is probably the best way of describing us. It's different to friendship."
Niall added: "Yeah, we spend a good time on the road, and, obviously it's so important that we all get along or it won't work."
Harry explained: "There could have easily been one person who didn't get along with anyone; who nobody liked, but it wasn't like that.
"The relationship that's grown with these four boys that I didn't even know three years ago is absolutely insane and it's incredible. I'm very lucky that I get to spend so much time with them."
Meanwhile, Harry, 20, has recently been rumoured to be embarking on a solo career, but he has shot down the speculation and insists he'll be part of One Direction - who shot to fame after taking part on 'The X Factor' in 2010 - until they're forced to go their separate ways due to old age.
He explained to TOTP magazine: "I'm 100 per cent in this band. I still want to be touring with One Direction in ten years. I'll be doing it until I'm old and people are telling me to stop."

Katie Price punched Jane Pountney in the face

Katie Price says she punched her friend in the face after learning she'd slept with her husband.
The former glamour model - whose former lover Kieran Hayler had an affair with her Jane Pountney - has claimed she was so angry she "knocked half her front tooth out".
She told The Sun on Sunday newspaper: "The red mist came down and I marched over and grabbed Jane by her hair extensions.
"I can't remember everything because it was a blur but I'm pretty sure I landed a punch on her face and knocked half her front tooth out and left it wobbling. I hope so anyway."
Katie - who insisted Jane still hasn't apologised for the affair - discovered her husband's cheating during a holiday in west Africa when she caught them kissing on the beach.
She added: "It was very dark but as I got closer to the beach I could make out two figures near a pile of stacked sunbeds. That's when I stood perfectly still for 30 seconds watching my best friend kissing my husband.
"I felt physically sick. Then the red mist came down. Jane tried to tell me it wasn't what it seemed ... Kieran looked proper scared.
"Jane didn't say sorry then and hasn't said sorry to this day."

Frankie Sandford marries Wayne Bridge

Frankie Sandford has married Wayne Bridge.
The Saturdays singer tied the knot with her soccer-playing partner - with whom she has nine-month-old son Parker - yesterday (19.07.14) at Woburn Abbey in Bedfordshire, east England and it is said she "looked beautiful".
A source told the Sunday Mirror newspaper: "It was an amazing day. Frankie looked beautiful and Wayne very handsome when they tied the knot, Frankie was crying her eyes out.
"Marrying Wayne makes her life feel complete."
Their big day was made all the more special when boy band JLS - whose member Marvin Humes is married to Frankie's band mate Rochelle - reunited for a special performance to entertain guests.
Meanwhile, it was previously reported they were planning their extravagant summer ceremony with the help of Bentley's Entertainments, the firm that organised Victoria and David Beckham's lavish bash in 1999.
However, rather than going for a huge, glitzy bash, the couple had asked guests to protect their privacy by not putting any wedding photos online.
An insider previously said: "Frankie and Wayne want to keep the ceremony as private as possible. Cameras are allowed, but they have requested that no pictures are posted on social media."
