Daniel Radcliffe love What If calorific treats

Daniel Radcliffe loved gorging on calorific treats while filming 'What If'.
The 25-year-old actor enjoyed eating special Fool's Gold sandwiches, which are made up of a whole loaf of bread, a jar of jam, a jar of peanut butter, bacon rashers and loads of butter, while shooting the upcoming romantic/comedy movie.
He said: "If you can get a job where people will pay you to eat Fool's Gold sandwiches, take it."
The motion picture, which is based on a play by T.J. Dawe, sees Daniel play a broken-hearted man who enters into a complicated relationship with a young woman played by Zoe Kazan, who wasn't quite so keen on indulging in the calorific sandwiches.
Daniel explained: "Zoe hated it, but she grew up here and I grew up in England. In LA you're all very healthy here, but I am not. I am 70 per cent Fool's Gold. I enjoyed it a lot."
As well as being able to gorge on hefty sandwiches, Daniel also enjoyed the opportunity to portray a "normal guy" following his role as Ig Perrish, who has two horns on his head which give him special powers, in 'Horns' and as the titular wizard in the 'Harry Potter' film franchise.
Speaking at a Q&A after a screening of 'What If' as part of the Los Angeles Times' Indie Focus Screening Series, he added: "There was something very attractive about playing a normal guy, someone you might meet.
"And I think a lot of my own sense of humour was definitely allowed to come out in the film."
Daniel isn't the only celebrity known to be a fan of Fool's Gold sandwiches, as late music legend Elvis Presley once flew over to Denver to have some of the snacks delivered to his plane.

Guy Garvey working on solo album

Guy Garvey is working on his debut solo album.
The Elbow frontman will step away from the band to work on his own offering but warned that it could be a disaster.
He told Gigwise: [It will] "either be great, and a right laugh, or a disaster, and a right laugh".
However, it won't be an entirely solo endeavour as Guy - who will record at Peter Gabriel's Real World Studios - will ask some of his famous friends to collaborate with him on the project.
He explained: "I don't like the term 'solo project', because ... I'll be inviting friends to play on it and will let the [project name] itself as it progresses."
While Guy says this is not the end for Elbow and even explained: "I'm already working on lyrics for the next Elbow record," he is excited about doing his own thing away from the band.
He added: "I love being in the honest and even-handed democracy that is Elbow, but I fancy being the boss for a bit, so I'm going to do a side-project."

Jessie J promises new sound on third album

Jessie J says her third album is completely different to anything she has ever done before.
The 26-year-old singer believes she has grown up a great deal since her first offering and cannot wait to unveil a new sound on her latest record.
She told Capital FM: "This is the album to make a change. I feel like this album is what it's about for me.
"I've learned a lot, I've had my ups and downs and I reckon the third album is the one where you have finally found your feet."
And she couldn't wait to tweet fans after her first listen to the new music.
Jessie wrote: "LISTENING TO ALBUM 3 RIGHT THE WAY THROUGH FOR THE FIRST TIME. I CANT WAIT FOR YOU ALL TO HEAR IT! Woooooo!"
This week, Jessie's eagerly anticipated new track 'Bang Bang' featuring Ariana Grande and Nicki Minaj debuted.
The song was written by Max Martin - who has been responsible for many Backstreet Boys hits - Savan Kotecha and Ilya.
Jessie took a break from music to star as a coach on BBC's 'The Voice' but has left the show to concentrate on her music career.

Doctor Who made Guardians of the Galaxy easy, says Karen Gillan

Karen Gillan says her 'Doctor Who' experience helped her when filming 'Guardians of the Galaxy'.
Gillan - who appeared on the popular BBC sci-fi show between 2010 and 2012 - was cast in the role of Nebula in the latest Marvel flick and said it was easy to make the transition.
She told the Radio Times magazine: "There are actually a lot of similarities because it's sci-fi. There's a lot of green screen and reacting to things that aren't there, so I feel like I was trained up for it.
"But the main difference is that everything is just bigger in scale. More set, more people... just a bigger budget."
The 26-year-old actress also revealed that 'Doctor Who' helped her to secure the lead role in 'Oculus', a physiological horror film directed by Mike Flanagan.
She said: "[Director Mike Flanagan] is a really big 'Doctor Who' fan and he Skyped with me when I was in my bedroom in Scotland in my parents' house.
"He was drinking out of a TARDIS mug - but he didn't realise he was drinking out of a TARDIS mug - and I was like, 'I've totally got this role!'"
'Guardians of the Galaxy' opens in UK cinemas on August 1.

Dave Bautista couldn’t get an agent

Dave Bautista couldn't get an agent when he decided to pursue acting.
The 'Guardians of the Galaxy' star has revealed that despite a number of other professional wrestlers - including Dwayne "The Rock" Johnson and John Cena - making the move into acting before him, he still found it difficult to make people take him seriously.
Quizzed on whether Johnson's transition from wrestling to acting was helpful, Bautista said: "I don't think he paved the way for any wrestlers to move into film. It was hard for me. I couldn't get an agent. I think Dwayne is an exception."
The 45-year-old WWE star - who stars as Drax the Destroyer alongside Zoe Saldana as Gamora and Chris Pratt as Peter Quill aka Star Lord in the sci-fi adventure - has confessed he thinks he will struggle to get diverse roles because casting directors will assume he's only suited to action.
He told the Metro newspaper: "It is hard getting auditions because people have slapped a label on me from WWE. It is kind of rough when you want to pursue more dramatic roles and not be an action star."
Bautista also revealed he'd never heard of Marvel Comics' 'Guardians of the Galaxy' universe before being offered an audition in the upcoming film, but insists once his acting coach, who is a "serious comic-book nerd" helped him out, he managed to get his around his character's funny lines.
He added: "The fact that Drax doesn't realise what he says is funny is what makes it funny. If you can get a hold of that, it becomes very easy."

Alternative ending to Gone with the Wind

A script with an alternative ending to 'Gone with the Wind' is to be sold at auction.
The classic American Civil War movie - which starred Vivien Leigh as Scarlett O'Hara and Clark Gable as Rhett Butler - saw Butler walk out on his lover O'Hara while uttering the line, "Frankly, my dear, I don't give a damn".
O'Hara was then seen vowing to move on from the relationship saying, "After all, tomorrow is another day", which saw the character hailed as a strong, independent woman - but it's now been revealed there could have been a more traditional ending.
An alternative script for the 1939 film - which is to be auctioned online next month and is expected to sell for up to $5,000 - swaps O'Hara's famous last line to something far more desperate.
It reads: "Rhett!... Rhett!... You'll come back. You'll come back... I know you will!"
Margaret Barrett of Heritage Auctions is selling the unique piece of film history - which is believed to have belonged to a production member and was eventually passed to a film fan who ran a bookshop - and she claims the alternative could've seen Leigh miss out on the Oscar she won for the role.
According to the Daily Mirror newspaper, Barrett said: "In the original Scarlett comes across as a determined woman who will survive with or without Rhett, but this alternative ending is much more traditional.
"Her life has been ruined because her man left her. Scarlett is such enduring character because she is so independent. She is way ahead of her time in terms of how women were viewed."

Prince Harry asks Usain Bolt if he works out

Britain's Prince Harry asked Usain Bolt if he works out.
The 29-year-old royal questioned the six-time Olympic champion as they toured the athletes' village at the Commonwealth Games in Glasgow yesterday (29.07.14).
After the Jamaican sprinter asked Harry if he partakes in regular exercise, the prince replied: "Do I work out? No - do you work out?"
Harry and Usain, 27, appeared to hit it off as they also discussed their love of chicken nuggets after it was rumoured the sprinter scoffed more than 1,000 of the meaty pieces during his time in 2008 Olympics.
The flame-haired hunk asked the athlete if he still tucks into the chicken treats regularly.
However, Usain revealed that there would be "no more chicken nuggets" for now as he had to eat properly in preparation for his 4X100m relay on Friday (01.08.14).
Harry's brother Prince William, 31, who was also involved in the conversation, then joked that the young royal should follow Usain's new rules on cutting out chicken nuggets because munching on them "every week" is unhealthy.
Harry hit back: "A box of nuggets every now and again is good for you."
William, who was joined by his wife Duchess Catherine replied: "Every now and again, not every week."

Rylan Clark lands record deal

Rylan Clark has landed a record deal.
The 'X Factor' star - who was branded a "joke" by judge Gary Barlow in 2012 - has bagged himself a deal with Universal and is planning to release a dance single under a different name to avoid immediate criticism.
A friend told The Sun newspaper: "Despite the abuse Rylan got from Gary Barlow about his voice, he has always wanted to release music.
"The tracks are dance-orientated so it is fair to say there will be some auto-tuning going on.
"He feels now is the time to get back into music as well as TV stuff. He's looking to put out the first track later this year under a different name to test the water. He is pretty confident people will like it."
After finding fame on the ITV singing competition two years ago, Rylan, 25, went on to win 'Celebrity Big Brother' in January 2013, before landing a hosting gig on Channel 5's 'Big Brother's Bit On the Side.'
It was rumoured earlier this year that the comedian was also being lined up alongside presenter Laura Whitmore, 28, to take over hosting duties from Caroline Flack and Matt Richardson on the 'X Factor' spin-off show, 'The Xtra Factor'.
However, Sarah-Jane Crawford was later confirmed to have bagged herself the job.

Kim Kardashian slams Adrienne Bailon

Kim Kardashian has accused Adrienne Bailon of kicking Rob Kardashian "when he's down".
The 33-year-old reality TV star has hit out at her brother's ex-girlfriend following her recent claims that dating the sock designer hurt her career.
The actress-and-singer - who dated Rob from 2007 to 2009 - suggested that appearing on the family's reality show 'Keeping Up with the Kardashians' did her career more harm than good in an interview with Latina magazine.
A furious Kim wrote on Twitter in the early hours of Wednesday morning (30.07.14): "Funny how she says being with a Kardashian hurt her career yet the only reason she has this article is bc she is talking about a Kardashian
"So sad when people try to kick my brother when he is down #FamilyForever (sic)"
Kim took a further dig at the 30-year-old star by referring to the song 'Let It Go', which appears on the soundtrack to hit Disney film 'Frozen'.
She wrote: "#LetItGoooooLetItGoooooo (FROZEN VOICE) (sic)"
Adrienne, who claims Rob cheated on her during their two-year relationship, expressed her regrets over appearing on the Kardashians' E! reality show, saying: "To be stuck with that Kardashian label, that was so hurtful to me and to my career. I probably realised that too late - not that it would've affected my decisions in terms of who I dated, but it would've affected my decision to appear on the show."
Kim's defence of Rob - who never attended his sister's recent wedding to Kanye West and reportedly hasn't spoken to her since - comes as the 27-year-old star continues to battle weight problems which have plunged him into depression.
The brunette beauty has taken a firm approach with her sibling, insisting it's up to him to change his lifestyle.
She said: "I think I'm just more of the tough love kind of person. My personality is like, 'All right, you complain, you don't like it, get up and do something about it.' "

Peaches Geldof ‘failed by friends’

Peaches Geldof was failed by friends who ignored her drug use, a pal has claimed.
Gerry Agar says she knew the star - who died of a heroin overdose in April - was in "trouble" some time ago and reached out to encourage her to seek help after claiming others close to her refused to address her reliance on the narcotic.
Gerry - a close friend of Peaches' late mother Paula Yates - said: "I knew she was in trouble years ago and I tried to confront her about it.
"So many people around her knew about it but said nothing.
"But I'd lost my mother and my best friend to heroin and I didn't want to lose Peaches.
"I wrote her a letter but I never heard from her again."
The author hoped Peaches would turn her back on drugs for good when she married Thomas Cohen in 2012 and after seeing she had "tried" to quit the deadly habit after having sons Astala, two, and Phaedra, 15 months, was convinced she would win her battle.
However, despite apparent signs she had returned to heroin, Gerry claims Peaches' friends "turned a blind eye" and ignored her problem.
She added to Britain's Grazia magazine: "I knew she was trying to come off heroin and I thought she could make it.
"But then it started again.
"I knew it was happening. I think a lot of people did but turned blind eyes."

Orlando Bloom fights with Justin Bieber

Orlando Bloom has allegedly tried to punch Justin Bieber.
The 'Pirates of the Caribbean' actor reportedly tried to hit the 20-year-old singer whilst out at Cipriani restaurant in Ibiza in the early hours of this (30.07.14) morning.
On video footage obtained by website TMZ, the 'Beauty and the Beat' hit maker can be heard shouting: "What's up b***h?"
TMZ also reported that after ducking the punch, Justin quickly left the venue as other guests at the party started applauding the English actor.
As well as Orlando and Justin, other stars at the party at Cipriani included Paris Hilton and P. Diddy.
It is unknown why the pair started fighting, but the troubled pop star has been linked to Orlando's model ex-wife, Miranda Kerr - the mother of his three-year-old son Flynn who he split from last October - in the past. The pair were even spotted partying together after a Victoria's Secret fashion show in 2012.
To add yet more fuel to the fire, in April 2014 Orlando enjoyed a meal out with Justin's on-off girlfriend Selena Gomez.
After the alleged punching incident, Justin Bieber posted - and then quickly deleted - a photo of Miranda on his Instagram account; the biggest indication yet that the feud was caused by his rumoured relationship with the brunette beauty.

David Beckham’s Miami MLS plans in jeopardy over stadium

David Beckham's plans to bring a Major League Soccer team to Miami are in jeopardy as he has yet to find a suitable location for the stadium.
The 39-year-old soccer star quit the professional sport in 2013 following a successful 20-year career and wants to create his own team in Florida but MLS commissioner Don Garber has warned that league will not approve a team until a stadium is secured.
He told ESPN: "Miami remains a top priority for us. But we are mindful of the challenges we had in the past and must have the right ownership group and stadium location. David has been working to secure additional partners, all, if approved, would be terrific MLS owners. David and his partners have not yet been able to secure a site that we believe provides the proper access and iconic presence that will help ensure success."
And he insisted that it must be a downtown location or else David's franchise bid will be quashed.
He added: "We remain focused on a downtown Miami location, and we will not expand to Miami unless we have a downtown site for the stadium."
David had considered a plot near the American Airlines arena on Biscayne Blvd, Miami, where basketball side Miami Heat play their home games, but the city did not give approval for the site.
