J.J. Abrams has hinted that an X-Wing starfighter will feature in 'Star Wars: Episode VII'.
In his latest video from the set of the highly anticipated next instalment of the sci-fi film series the director addresses fans while standing in front of the iconic aircraft.
The 'Star Trek' filmmaker previously posted a video from Abu Dhabi in the United Arab Emirates, where a number of sequences for the film were shot, offering fans the chance to appear in the movie in return for them donating money to Unicef via 'Force for Change', and he's now extended the prize.
Speaking from Pinewood Studios in Buckinghamshire, South East England, with the vehicle partially responsible for the destruction of two Death Stars looking slightly modified and beat up in the background, he said: "People from over one hundred and nineteen countries have already participated ... But we're still going. We have one week left, so for this final week we're giving you and a friend the chance to visit the set of 'Star Wars: Episode VII' and be in the movie."
It's yet to be revealed who will be flying the X-wing starfighter, but Abrams is planning to give a dedicated fan the chance to find out before the film's December 2015 release date.
He continued: "We're offering something else. A chance to win an advance screening of 'Episode VII' before it hits theatres. By supporting 'Force for Change' you could win a private screening of the movie in your hometown and invite twenty of your closest friends and family.
"We know how much Star Wars means to so many of you and we'd love to share the movie with you first while supporting this truly great cause."

Nicole Richie gets her sense of humour from her father.
The 'Candidly Nicole' star is delighted singer Lionel Richie makes a number of appearances on her new reality show because he isn't afraid to laugh at himself.
She told the New York Daily News newspaper's Confidenti@l column: "He and I have very similar senses of humour.
"He's one of my favourite people to have on the show. Like me, he is down to be the butt of any joke as long as it's making people smile and laugh."
The 32-year-old star - who has children Harlow, six, and Sparrow, four, with husband Joel Madden - is very close to her father and always has a good time with the 'Dancing on the Ceiling' singer.
She added: "I'm so comfortable with him. We have that very comfortable banter. He's always down to have fun."
While Nicole is happy to have Lionel on her show, she recently admitted her kids won't be making appearances as they won't even allow her to share pictures of them online.

The Rolling Stones are obsessed with TV box sets.
The veteran rockers shun wild parties for more leisurely pursuits on the road these days, including backgammon, jigsaw puzzles, and binge-watching television shows.
Guitarist Ronnie Wood said: "Being on tour jetlags you. You wake up every night about 9pm, just at the time when you would be going on stage. So now, instead, we watch 19 murder mysteries in a row. We're on 'Above Suspicion' at the moment. Last one tonight.
"We watch loads of box sets on the road, too. Even with [Sir Mick] Jagger I go, 'Let's go and watch 'House of Cards'.' And he told us about 'Game of Thrones'. We had to send someone out at four in the morning when we were in Shanghai to get us the next series."
The group are all big fans of 'Breaking Bad' and were delighted to meet Aaron Paul, who played troubled Jesse Pinkman, at one of their gigs.
Ronnie's wife Sally said: "When Aaron Paul came backstage at a gig, that caused more pandemonium than even the band."
Ronnie added to the Daily Telegraph newspaper: "We cracked the ice with him. Keith was going, 'What are you doing here?' and Patti [Keith's wife] was like, 'Oh my God, get out of the way. It's Aaron!' "
Cher Lloyd finds life "easier" because she is married.
The 20-year-old singer - who married Craig Monk in November 2013 after almost two years together - insists their relationship is no different since they tied the knot, but she appreciates having a "consistent thing" in her life.
She said: " I don't think it has [changed being married] we just get on with life together. It is a lot easier for me now because I feel like my life is so hectic, it's nice to have one consistent thing that I know is always going to be there and be supportive and be on that path with me."
The 'Sirens' singer - who shot to fame after competing on UK TV talent show 'The X Factor' in 2010 - has enjoyed huge success in America, which she thinks is due to her willingness to work hard.
Discussing cracking America on TV show 'Lorraine', she said: "It's very difficult, I think it's a mixture of luck and hard work really... I think it's really just getting your head down and going for it... You only get back what you put in."
And while Cher is currently focussed on her music career, she wouldn't say no to trying her hand at acting in the future.
She said: "I'm not tempted [to go into acting at the moment] I've been very fortunate to get a little bit of interest in that area but I'm completely focussed on my music at the moment but it's something that I wouldn't mind doing later on."
Scott Disick's aunt thinks the deaths of his parents caused him to drink excessively.
The 'Keeping Up with the Kardashians' star was recently hospitalised with alcohol poisoning, and Audrey Martone thinks the death of her brother Jeffrey just a few months after his wife Bonnie has hit her nephew hard.
She told RadarOnline.com: "Scott lost both parents in a very short period of time, and I think being without them right now is a sad reminder.
"I feel for him and I try to give him the benefit of the doubt. Everyone has their own way of grieving, and I respect that."
Scott is currently filming 'Kourtney & Khloe Take The Hamptons' with his long-term partner Kourtney Kardashian - who is pregnant with their third child - and her sister Khloe, and Audrey is worried that filming so close to his childhood home in New York may trigger some painful memories for him.
She said: "They're out in an area of Long Island where there are reminders of his parents. He might need some time to heal."
Audrey also admitted she only found out about Scott's hospitalisation in June through the media as she hasn't heard from her nephew since the beginning of the year.
She said: "I didn't know anything. Someone from work actually told me they read about it."
