Friends worried about ‘reclusive’ George Michael

Friends are worried that George Michael has become a "recluse".
The 51-year-old singer has allegedly "cut himself off from the world" and only allows his best friend David Austin to visit him at his North London home following a difficult few years which included a split from longtime love Kenny Goss and numerous health scares.
A source told the Sunday Mirror newspaper: "Since splitting from Kenny and all his problems, he's just gone off the radar.
"People are just worried sick about him. He's just cut himself off from everyone.
"It was really down to Kenny that he was actually out- even if it was just going to the cinema locally or for a meal.
"He hasn't been seen out for months, he's self-conscious about the scars on his throat and head, caused by the M1 incident, and he's put on weight."
Last year he fell out of a car on the fast lane of the M1 motorway and was airlifted to hospital and now he rarely leaves his house.
The insider said: "He watches tons of DVDs, has staff to book his meals, such as pasta, and spends a lot of his time in his recording space writing but he turns down offers to collaborate with others.
"It's not good, creative or healthy."

Catherine Zeta-Jones ‘a mess’ after husband’s diagnosis

Catherine Zeta-Jones was a "mess" after her husband was diagnosed with cancer.
Michael Douglas discovered he had stage four throat cancer in 2010 after being misdiagnosed, "not once, not twice, but three times," and his wife admitted she found it difficult to cope.
Speaking at the International Federation of Head and Neck Oncologic Societies' fifth World Congress opening ceremony in New York, the 44-year-old actress said: "I was a mess. I'll be quite frank, I was a mess.
"When I'm married to a man who has such a conviction for life ... he fights to make the wrongs right. For the first time he was fighting for his life."
69-year-old Michael - who has daughter Carys, 11, and son, Dylan, 12, with Catherine - has been cancer free since January 2011 and said: "In every sense of the word. I'm very fortunate to be here today."
Crediting the medical team at Memorial Sloan Kettering Cancer Center, he said: "We can only imagine what the next century will bring. Thank you for saving my life."
The couple split briefly last year but soon reconciled and are happier than ever.

Kim Kardashian not classy enough for Beyonce

Beyonce Knowles and Jay Z skipped Kim Kardashian and Kanye West's wedding because it reportedly wasn't classy enough for their brand.
A new report claims the duo are not impressed that Jay Z's close pal Kanye married the reality TV star - who shot to fame after her sex tape was released - and refused to attend the nuptials in Italy in May.
A source told the New York Post's Page Six: "They are guarding like hell their status. Beyonce wasn't going to allow a Kardashian to socially climb her. And Jay didn't want Kanye with Kim - he thinks it's bad for business. I think Jay lost a little respect for Kanye there."
The insider added it's not who they hang out with, it's "it's who hangs out with them".
Meanwhile, Kanye recently revealed he used his wedding speech to talk about how "celebrities have no rights".
The 'Gold Digger' hitmaker gave a 45-minute toast at his nuptials to Kim - with whom he has 13-month-old daughter North - in Florence, Italy, in May, and says he used the opportunity to explain how he and his new wife want to "fight" for more respect, comparing the way they are treated to "blacks in the '60s".
He explained to America's GQ magazine: "What I talked about in it was the idea of celebrity, and celebrities being treated like blacks were in the '60s, having no rights, and the fact that people can slander your name. I said that in the toast.
"And I had to say this in a position where I, from the art world, am marrying Kim. And how we're going to fight to raise the respect level for celebrities so that my daughter can live a more normal life. She didn't choose to be a celebrity. But she is. So I'm going to fight to make sure she has a better life."

Police investigated over Lily Allen picture

Police officers in Australia are being investigated after Lily Allen tweeted a picture of herself in handcuffs upon her arrival in the country.
The 'Smile' singer flew into Coolangatta Airport on the Gold Coast over the weekend to headline the Splendour in the Grass music festival and reportedly asked police to handcuff her so she could take a picture to post on Instagram.
The image - which was captioned "#uhoh" and has since been deleted - shows Lily on her knees with her hands cuffed behind her while a police officer stands over her.
However, superiors did not take the joke lightly and the Australian Federal Police have launched an investigation into what happened.
A source told TMZ: "[An investigation was launched and the AFP] acknowledged protocols were breached but then seemed to justify it by saying the officers were caught in the moment."
In the picture, which was shared by fans on Twitter and Instagram, Lily is dressed in jeans and a dark top with her dyed red hair pulled back.
Both she and the uniformed policeman appear to be smiling.

Behati Prinsloo ‘definitely’ wants children with Adam Levine

Behati Prinsloo wants to start a family with husband Adam Levine.
The Victoria's Secret model tied the knot with the Maroon 5 frontman earlier this month and revealed that she cannot wait to have children.
She told Net A Porter's magazine that they have a "definite" plan to have children but apart from that she has no expectations.
Behati explained: "I have no expectations. Not in a bad way, but I've learned that you can't plan ahead. I live day by day and see what happens. It's vague, but I like it that way."
The beautiful 25-year-old model first started working with Victoria's Secret in 2009 and admitted she was terrified.
She said: "I was so nervous in the beginning. You're in your underwear in front of all these staring people. But it really does motivate you to be your best and look your best. All the girls are doing squats backstage! Thankfully, I've never fallen over or had a [wardrobe] malfunction. I don't have a good story about falling on my face."

Beyonce and Jay Z’s marriage ‘crumbling’?

Beyonce Knowles and Jay Z's marriage is allegedly "crumbling".
A source close to the pair insists that recent reports about their marriage being in trouble are true and they have more of a business than a romantic relationship right now.
One pal told the New York Post's Page Six: "Knowing them as I do, obviously there's a little something to certain reports. When your man or your woman isn't getting it done for you, and I'm talking emotionally, not necessarily sexually...they keep things quiet."
Another insider claims their business relationship between Beyonce, 32, and Jay Z is more important to them than their marriage.
The source said: "There's still something there, even though it's not going to last. Business is always part of the equation. They know they're the king and queen of hip-hop - and really, all of music. Neither wants to lose that.
"They are solid, solid business people who know what they're doing."
The report also claims they are having marriage therapy while on their 'On The Run' tour together but Jay Z, 44, prefers to spend his time on his phone.
The source said: "His phone's constantly ringing. Jay trying to make deal after deal."

Jennifer Hudson opens up on family deaths

Jennifer Hudson says attending the trial of her mother, brother and nephew's killer was one of the worst things she ever had to go through.
In 2008 her mother Darnell Donerson, brother Jason Hudson and nephew Julian King were all killed in a horrific gun attack by her former brother-in-law, William Balfour but Jennifer, 32, admitted reliving their deaths at the trial was almost worse than the original tragedy.
She told the Observer magazine: "In many ways the trial was the most dreadful part of it all. But again I know my mother would not have wanted us to miss a beat, so we were there every day.
"I wouldn't wish it on anyone to have to experience anything like that, but that is what you do for your family, so that is what we did...
"I have definitely seen the highest of the highs and the lowest of the lows. You don't know how strong you are until you are placed in that kind of moment."
William received three life sentences in July 2012 following his conviction for gunning down her family members.
And Jennifer revealed the tragedy has changed her completely.
She said: "If I close my eyes, I can almost remember what it was like, what I was like, 15 years ago. I was at home in Chicago, still in high school, singing in church, living with my family.
"But generally, no, it feels like another Jennifer life. I don't look the same. I'm a mother now. So many things have changed. I sometimes think the only constant is my voice. That hasn't gone away."

Jesse Tyler Ferguson lies about where he met his husband

Jesse Tyler Ferguson lies about where he met his husband.
While the 'Modern Family' star and spouse Justin Mikita always tell people they met through "mutual friends", Jesse admitted they actually first met at the gym.
He confessed to Us Weekly: "I met my husband at the gym, but we always tell people it was through some mutual friends."
While Jesse couldn't be happier with Justin, he revealed he and close pal Zachary Quinto love the false report that they once dated.
He said: "Zachary Quinto and I never dated, but the report makes us happy because we love each other- as friends."
Last year Jesse revealed he and Justin were "baby crazy" and couldn't wait to have children.
He said: "We're baby crazy right now.
"We see kids with families walking around, and if those parents look away for too long, someone has to hold us back to not steal them."
The couple tied the knot last year with the ceremony officiated by playwright Tony Kushner, who is a close pal of Jesse and Justin.

Ian McShane: Dwayne Johnson perfect for Hercules

Ian McShane believes The Rock was the perfect choice to play Hercules.
Former wrestler Dwayne "The Rock" Johnson portrays Hercules in Brett Ratner's big-screen adaptation of the Radical Studios graphic novel, and McShane - who plays part seer, part warrior Amphiaraus - thinks no one else could have done the role justice.
He told Steve Wright on BBC Radio 2: "Dwayne 'The Rock' Johnson plays Hercules. Well who else are you going to get to play Hercules? It has to be Mr Muscles."
Although McShane, 71, enjoyed working on the movie, he admitted it was "a long slog".
He explained: "They did most of the special effects afterwards but it was 19 weeks, there were six cameras on each of us. It was a long slog this one.
"A lot of it was fun, I like Brett Ratner, he's crazy but it was a long shoot."
The movie - which portrays Hercules not as the son of Greek god Zeus but rather as a mortal mercenary - also stars Joseph Fiennes, John Hurt, Rebecca Ferguson and supermodel Irina Shayk, who makes her acting debut as Hercules' love interest.

Pixie Lott hates first single

Pixie Lott hates her debut single.
The 23-year-old singer "can't bear" having to perform 'Mama Do (Uh Oh, Uh Oh)' - her 2009 breakthrough track - though she insists she is grateful the song put her on the path to success.
She said: "I can't bear singing 'Mama Do'. It was my first song and I'm so grateful for the success it brought me, but I must have sung it a million times now."
The blonde star admits she pursued many routes to find fame, including auditioning for TV talent shows, and is "glad" she suffered so much rejection.
She said: "I'm glad I got rejected. When I was younger, I auditioned for adverts, TV shows, even dance shows at my school that I didn't get, but it's never smooth all the way through. Rejection toughens you up."
Pixie is happy in her relationship with Oliver Cheshire, but tried to imagine they had split to inspire songs on her new self-titled album.
She told LOOK magazine: "Oliver has brought out so many feelings in me. He makes me so happy, but I've imagined what it would be like if we broke up - awful - and it inspired some of the ballads on the album, like 'Break Up Song'."

Demi Lovato only dates mature men

Demi Lovato will only date someone mature enough to deal with her emotional complexities.
The 21-year-old singer - who has battled drug and alcohol addiction and an eating disorder in the past - will only allow herself to be in a relationship with someone who can help her manage her mental health.
Speaking to the Daily Mail newspaper's YOU magazine, she said: "I would be slightly overwhelming for somebody who is not at a level of maturity to support me mentally."
The former Disney star has had a couple of high-profile boyfriends - including Joe Jonas and Wilmer Valderrama - in the past and she admits it is always a struggle when a romance comes to an end, but it's even harder when the relationship ends in the spotlight.
She explained: "The problem when you go public with a personal relationship is that when it ends, it ends publicly as well."
Meanwhile, the 'Heart Attack' hitmaker - who takes medication for her bipolar disorder and attends regular Alcoholics Anonymous meetings - is determined to be "a beacon of hope for the next generation."
Demi, who has a biography 'Staying Strong', explained: "When you are no longer hiding anything, you don't worry about what is going to get out. I don't care who knows about my life, and now that I am an open book a huge weight has been lifted off my shoulders."
