Duchess of Cornwall buys Prince George knitted gift

Britain's Duchess of Cornwall bought Prince George a knitted chimney sweep doll at the Sandringham Flower Show yesterday (30.07.14).
The 67-year-old royal stopped by the Women's Institute stall at the event in Norfolk and bought the cute toy as a gift for her 12-month-old grandson.
After opening her purse and inspecting her purchase, she said of the little figure: "Isn't he sweet?"
The Duchess was joined by her husband Prince Charles, 62, and their friends Dame Judi Dench and Dame Maggie Smith, who are staying with them at Sandringham estate, as they arrived at the show in a stunning horse and carriage to be greeted by fans.
Camilla, who has a Jack Russell, frequently stopped by a number of people with dogs to pat their furry friends and discuss her love of the four-legged creatures.
The group then went on to the flower tent and, although they enjoyed looking at the beautiful displays, Prince Charles was less than impressed with the smell.
As he entered the tent he wrinkled his nose and told his escort: "There's an awful smell of cow pats in here."
After touring the show, the royal couple then went on to a Music in Country Churches concert at the Church of St Mary in Old Hunstanton.

Prince Charles pays secret visit to GCHQ Scarborough

Britain's Prince Charles paid a secret visit to Scarborough yesterday afternoon (30.07.14).
The 65-year-old royal flew via helicopter to the Government Communications Headquarters (GCHQ) at Irton Moor, North Yorkshire, to celebrate the station's 100th birthday.
Charles was given a tour of the site, which helps law enforcement agencies prevent terrorism and organised crime, and shown the Second World War concrete bunker, which was in operation until the 1970s.
He was then shown the "extraordinary" on-site museum and given a demonstration of an original wartime German Enigma machine.
The prince - who is the oldest son of Queen Elizabeth and Prince Philip - then unveiled a plaque at the end of his trip to commemorate his visit.
A GCHQ spokesman told the Yorkshire Coast Radio: "It is a real pleasure for us to host a visit by His Royal Highness The Prince of Wales to our Scarborough site in this centenary year so that he can meet staff and see first-hand the vital work they do in keeping the country safe.
"The Prince has long been a strong supporter of the work of the intelligence agencies and his presence here today is a reminder of that."
The site, which normally operates under strict secrecy, is believed to be the oldest existing intercept station in the world.

Prince Harry ‘stole’ Invictus Games idea

Britain's Prince harry "stole" the idea for the Invictus Games from the US.
The 29-year-old royal has been busy organising a sporting competition for injured members of the armed forces in a bid to help them through rehabilitation with the hope of paving a "pathway back into employment."
However, he admits the event wasn't totally his idea but will be bigger and better than the initial concept.
Asked if he came up with the idea himself, he replied: "[I was] happy to steal it off the Americans I think, is probably the best way of explaining it.
"The Americans have had the Warrior Games now for the last four and a half, five years.
"They have the Navy against the R.A.F. against the Army. We went over there, I had a team of 30 UK guys that joined in with the Americans and basically saw this event take place and decided that it was such a wonderful concept we should steal it, make it bigger, make it better and bring it back home."
The flame-haired hunk took on the task as a full-time job and, although it was a "struggle", he hopes the competition will become a "regular" event.
Speaking to Chris Evans on BBC Radio 2's breakfast show this morning (31.07.14), he said: "This is definitely going to be a regular event, we're still trying to work out whether we do it next year or the year after and whether it's going to be within the UK or whether it's going to be abroad."
The Invictus Games, which will include wheelchair basketball and indoor rowing, will take place at the Queen Elizabeth Olympic Park in London from September 10 until and September 14.

Chris Gascoyne lands £150k panto role

Chris Gascoyne has landed a six-figure deal to star in a Christmas pantomime.
The 'Coronation Street' actor will earn £150,000 for six weeks of work, reportedly more than he earns in a year on the soap, when he stars in a production of 'Jack and the Beanstalk' at Birmingham's Hippodrome later this year after leaving the hit ITV soap.
Chris - who plays cheating alcoholic Peter Barlow - will swap one bad boy role for another as he has been cast as villain Fleshcreep opposite Blue singer Duncan James and 'Loose Women' star Jane McDonald.
The 46-year-old actor's panto deal sees him follow in the footsteps of his on-screen rival Marc Baylis, who has landed a role as Prince Charming in 'Sleeping Beauty' in Bromley, Kent.
A soap source told The Sun newspaper: "There has been a fair bit of banter knocking around.
"It is a real coincidence that both he and Marc are doing panto as their first jobs after leaving the soap but everyone is pleased for them.
"The money is absolutely fantastic for panto and both Chris and Marc will be pocketing more than their annual salaries at 'Corrie' for just a few weeks' work."
Both Chris and Marc will leave 'Coronation Street' as the Tina McIntyre murder mystery comes to an end. While Marc's alter-ego Rob Donovan killed the beautiful barmaid, Peter - who had an affair with Tina - is currently the main suspect in the investigation.

Alison Hammond to join Strictly Come Dancing

Alison Hammond has signed up for 'Strictly Come Dancing'.
The 'This Morning' presenter has reportedly agreed to star on the next series of the BBC ballroom dancing competition and is eager to represent "big girls".
A source told The Sun newspaper: "She came in for her fitting last week and can't wait to get started.
"Alison has always loved 'Strictly' but she never thought it was a possibility until she saw Lisa Riley do so well. So she jumped at the chance this year."
The insider added: "Alison's personality is infectious and the bosses are sure she will be popular. She has the kind of charisma and humour that people love.
"She was genuinely delighted to be asked to join. There is no doubt she will throw everything into her dance training. She could be one of this year's real surprises."
Alison shot to fame on the third series of 'Big Brother' in 2002 but is now best known for interviewing celebrities on ITV's 'This Morning'.
Alison's 'Strictly' role wouldn't be the first time she has taken part in a reality competition as she's previously starred on 'I'm A Celebrity... Get me Out Of Here!', 'Celebrity MasterChef' and 'Celebrity Fit Club'.
Other stars linked to the new series of 'Strictly' include ex-'TOWIE' hunk Mark Wright, Monty Python star Carol Cleveland and celebrity chef Greg Wallace.
