Peter Capaldi will be ‘rude’ Doctor

Peter Capaldi is a "rude" Doctor, according to 'Doctor Who' showrunner Steven Moffat.
The 56-year-old actor - famous for playing foul-mouthed political PR guru Malcolm Tucker in satire 'The Thick Of It' - makes his debut in the role in upcoming episode 'Deep Breath' and Moffat admits his interpretation of the Time Lord is more abrupt than predecessor Matt Smith.
The 52-year-old writer told the new issue of SFX magazine: "Peter will still be very much the Doctor. He has a tremendous ability with throwaway humour and a lot of it is around the fact that sometimes he is terribly rude.
"I think kids will think he is the rude Doctor. You might want to cuddle him but he really will resist."
Moffat has also revealed the relationship between companion Clara Oswald - played by 28-year-old Jenna-Louise Coleman - and the new Doctor will be very different to the relationship she had with Matt's Time Lord.
He added: "It's very interesting what's happened to Jenna. From a Doctor she could sort of control because he had a crush on her, she is landed with a Doctor who barely registers at all that she is a girl."
The new series of 'Doctor Who' starts with episode 'Deep Breath' on BBC One on Saturday August 23.

Prince Charles furious about royal book

Britain's Prince Charles is said to be "furious" over a former aide's plans to publish a tell-all book.
Queen Elizabeth's former Press Secretary Dickie Arbiter - who worked at Buckingham Palace for 12 years, including when the prince's marriage to Princess Diana broke down and at the time of her death in 1997 - is set to spill his secrets of royal life in a forthcoming biography and his former employers are reportedly worried about what he could reveal.
A source told the Daily Mirror newspaper: "Charles is furious. This man was a trusted friend.
"He is raking over the breakdown of the marriage and the Prince has been asking aides 'Why do we have to go through this all again?'
"It is just a case of a man who he thought was a friend and who could be trusted cashing in on the misery of that time. It is disloyal.
It is believed the royals have taken legal advice in a bid to halt the publication of the book.
The source added: "Arbiter has been told that he does not have official permission to write this book and a legal team has reviewed all his old contracts in a bid to try and find a way to stop it."
Dickie, 73, has admitted to signing the Official Secrets Act and signed a confidentiality agreement while working for the queen between 1988 and 2000 but insists his book won't break any confidences.

Prince Harry to unveil war memorial

Britain's Prince Harry will unveil a memorial arch in honour of the First World War today (04.08.14).
The 29-year-old prince will take the salute of a military and civilian parade and lay a wreath in Folkestone, Kent, South East England at an event organised by charity Step Short to mark the centenary of the Great War.
Harry will first walk down the Road of Remembrance to meet those taking part of the parade, which will be led by the Band of the Brigade of Gurkhas and include members of the three uniformed services.
A second group, led by Folkestone Pipes and Drums and made up of 800 veterans and civilians will follow the military parade, and both groups will pause by the arch for Harry's unveiling.
A spokesperson for Step Short said: "At the top of the Road of Remembrance, members of the parade will be given the 'Step Short' order, just as the servicemen were given during the First World War.
"The order was given to allow them to shorten their stride as they descended the steep slope of Folkestone's Road of Remembrance (then known as Slope Road) on their way to the harbour and a boat to the Western Front.
"Shortening their stride allowed those marching to negotiate the slope safely.
"For many it was their last time on British soil before heading to the battlefields of France and Belgium."
Educational charity Step Short have been working to ensure all those who passed through Folkestone during WW1 are remembered in an appropriate way.
The spokesperson added: "Folkestone played an integral part in the Great War as the port of embarkation and return, to and from, the Western Front for millions of men and women."

Cressida Bonas put career before love

Cressida Bonas feared her ambitions would be "trampled" if she stayed with Britain's Prince Harry.
The 25-year-old beauty split from the 29-year-old royal in April after almost two years together and friends claim she felt she had to end the relationship or give up her burgeoning acting career.
A source told the Daily Mail newspaper: "She sees her future as an actress and she felt her ambitions would have been trampled by the royal machine. The decision not to continue the relationship came from her, not Harry.
"The time had come for someone to make the break, and she could not see a long-term future with him."
Despite their split, the former couple - who were introduced by Harry's cousin Princess Eugenie - are still in touch, but only as friends.
The source added: "Harry was still very keen, but he appreciates her position and they have kept in touch -- as friends."
Insiders claim Cressida grew tired of Harry's "needy" behaviour, which included him inundating her with texts and phone messages "to the point where it became almost unbearable".
A source added: "He would be petulant and sulky, demanding she come round to see him all the time."

Lily Allen bemoans lack of control over music career

Lily Allen has "no control" over her career.
The 29-year-old singer - whose recent album 'Sheezus' debuted at number one before quickly plummeting - bemoaned music executives choosing which of her new tracks are released as singles.
During a pre-recorded interview on Australian breakfast show 'Weekend Sunrise', she said: "The actual industry side is messed up. I've got no control over a lot of it.
"They kind of made decisions for the wrong reasons. You deliver a body of work and then they basically put it into a market research machine and decide which singles will be released."
Despite this, the London-born musician says she's "100 per cent" happy with 'Sheezus', which features the singles 'Hard Out Here' and 'Air Balloon'.
Last week, meanwhile, it was revealed plans to include a score Lily had written for the new 'Bridget Jones' musical had been scrapped.
Writer Helen Fielding has decided to re-write the stage production and no longer requires the services of the 'Not Fair' hitmaker.
Lily told The Sun newspaper: "I wrote some great music for it but Helen Fielding wants to go back and write a whole new story.
"It's been a long-term project and I was happy to do my bit but I'm now out of the picture."

Kit Harington and Rose Leslie back together?

Kit Harington and Rose Leslie are reportedly dating again.
The 'Game of Thrones' stars are said to have reconciled some time ago, almost a year after going their separate ways, but their rekindled romance isn't serious.
A source told Us Weekly magazine: "They've been back on for about three months.
"That said, it's casual right now and they're having fun."
Speculation the pair- who play Jon Snow and his lover Ygritte - had started once they were seen arriving together at Los Angeles International Airport ahead of appearing at the 'Game of Thrones' HBO panel at Comic-Con last month.
Both Kit and Rose are thought to be taking their renewed relationship slowly as the insider revealed they are not planning to take things to the next level just yet.
The source added: "They're not moving in together or anything like that yet."
Neither star has ever admitted to dating one another, but the 27-year-old actress did previously admit that her off-screen chemistry with Kit had helped when filming the more intense scenes together.
She shared: "It's a wonderful perk when you're able to get on with your co-star, and Kit is a wonderful, wonderful man,
"He's very lovely, charming, sweet, and incredibly funny, so having that dialogue off-screen certainly pushes for the relationship they have on-screen. And if you're willing to trust the other person and allow them to play on-screen with the scene, it's a lovely attribute to have."

Katie Price vows to ‘never’ wear her wedding ring

Katie Price will "never, ever" wear her wedding ring again.
The former glamour model has reconciled with husband Kieran Hayler, who recently admitted to being unfaithful with her friends Chrissy Thomas and Jane Pountney, but admits they still have issues to resolve.
She told OK! magazine: "I'd like there to be a happy ending - who knows?
"I will never, ever wear my wedding ring again because he's broken every single vow and he knows it. I don't mind wearing my eternity ring and my engagement ring, because I know he was faithful then, but the actual wedding ring I won't wear."
Katie is currently pregnant with her fifth child - her second with Kieran - and thinks expecting another baby "saved her" during the stress of the last few months as it forced her to "take a step back".
She added: "The baby and my children have been my priority over the last few months. I know that sounds like a line, but being pregnant saved me. I had to take a step back for the sake of the child I was carrying.
"Thankfully the baby is absolutely fine, it's just me. You couldn't even make up what I've been through, it's that bad. I've never even seen it in a film."
However, the 36-year-old beauty - who has kids Harvey, 12, Junior, nine, and Princess, seven, from previous relationships, and 11-month-old Jett with Kieran - admits she is "hugely" concerned about the effect the incident will have on her four young children and unborn baby in the long term.
She added: "It's one of the reasons I took a step back. It's not just me, it would mess all of us up. I guess maybe I want to be able to look the kids in the eye and say I gave it every chance."
