Photographer honoured to shoot exhibition

A photographer commissioned to take pictures of a new exhibition at Buckingham Palace felt "great privilege" to be involved.
Ben Murphy was honoured to photograph the Royal Childhood display - which looks back at nine generations of princes and princesses at play - at Queen Elizabeth's official residence and wanted to do his best to reflect the "historical significance" of the items on display.
He said: "I knew this was a special and important commission. It was a great privilege to be given access to this extraordinary place and I felt that I had to produce work that reflected the historical significance of the building and the garments, objects, toys and ephemera assembled for the exhibition. I was acutely aware of the symbolism and significances of every object and every space."
Ben was thankful for the natural light of the stunning palace and felt it would "betray the integrity" of the building if he were to add lighting of his own.
He added to the Daily Telegraph newspaper: "I always work with natural or available light. This is part of my process and important in the creation of my photographic identity. The atmosphere and stillness created by natural light is critical to my work and to conveying a true sense of place as I see it.
"Buckingham Palace, like many great houses, was designed to make effective use of natural light. In their grand rooms, daylight becomes an integral and beautiful part of the experience of being in those spaces. It would betray the integrity of the place to try to impose my own artificial light. There are exceptions of course where available light is artificial and unavoidable however I invariably prefer the painterly quality of diffused daylight."

Prince Harry avoids Cressida Bonas

Britain's Prince Harry almost ran into Cressida Bonas at the weekend.
The 29-year-old prince and his ex-girlfriend - who he split from in April - were both among the revellers at the Wilderness Festival in Cornbury Park, Oxfordshire over the weekend but didn't speak, despite standing close to one another.
According to one insider, Harry - who arrived on site late at night wearing a cap and hoody - stood around the Pandemonium Stage drinking with pals, while Cressida danced with her friends just a short distance away.
One festivalgoer told the Daily Telegraph newspaper: "So close and yet so far apart.
"They didn't say a word, but they may not have seen each other."
It was recently claimed Cressida, 25, ended her relationship with the prince because she feared her acting ambitions would be "trampled" by royal life.
A source said: "She sees her future as an actress and she felt her ambitions would have been trampled by the royal machine. The decision not to continue the relationship came from her, not Harry.
"The time had come for someone to make the break, and she could not see a long-term future with him."

S Club 7 to reform

S Club 7 are reforming.
The 90s pop group - made up of Rachel Stevens, Hannah Spearritt, Jo O'Meara, Tina Barrett, Jon Lee, Bradley McIntosh and Paul Cattermole - are officially reuniting with the backing of billionaire entrepreneur and artist manager Simon Fuller following their split 11 years ago.
A source told The Sun newspaper: "The seven have had a lot of big-money offers over the years but they only feel the time is right now.
"Simon wants this comeback to be even bigger than Take That or Steps."
The relaunch will be overseen by Simon's 'XIX Entertainment' - the company which also oversees Victoria and David Beckham, Lewis Hamilton and Will Young - and the 'Bring It All Back' singers are hoping to be more successful than recently reformed 90s pop groups 5ive and Blue following their stint on the ITV2 reality show 'The Big Reunion'.
The source explained: "This isn't going to be the sort of comeback that BLUE or 5IVE made on The Big Reunion.
"Anything Simon is involved in will be different and big."
The group - who split in 2002 after Paul decided to go solo - have all agreed in principle to the relaunch.
Jo, Bradley, Tina and Paul currently remain part of the band and have continued to tour pubs and clubs under the name S Club 4.

Robbie Williams earns £14m from tour

Robbie Williams has banked £14 million from his solo tour.
The 'Candy' hitmaker - who finished his 'Take The Crown' stadium tour last summer - has reportedly earned the enormous sum after setting up his own company Teddy Bear Productions to handle the proceeds of the gigs.
According to The Daily Star newspaper, the tour took in around £31.3 million in sales, leaving the firm with around £14.1 million pre-tax profit.
It seems the money Robbie is earning is leading to make extravagant financial decisions.
The 40-year-old singer has a £1.75 million home in west London that he never uses.
Robbie bought the house - which was previously owned by the late filmmaker Michael Winner - in December 2013, but despite its huge price tag he has preferred to stay in hotels when he has been performing in the capital city of the UK.
An insider said: "The house has a staff in place ready to welcome anyone who wants to stay there, but Robbie himself has opted for hotels when he's been in London, instead of making the journey out to West London after work commitments in town.
"He bought it for the family and plans to use it one day, but to be in such a big place alone when he's missing them has no appeal.
"He's told all his friends and family they can stay there any time they like, but it's not something he's actually done himself yet. It's just easier to crash in a hotel, not worry about anything and then go on to the next gig or jump on a place to the next country."
