Catfish and the Bottlemen are "more excited" about having one of their songs on a computer game than a successful album.
The Welsh rockers admitted it was a dream come true when they were asked if they wanted their new single 'Cocoon' to be on the soundtrack of new football video game 'FIFA 15' after a year of trying to get the tune on the title.
Speaking at the 'FIFA 15' soundtrack event, lead singer Van McCann exclusively told BANG Showbiz: "The first thing I used say to someone is, 'Do you know anyone who works in FIFA?' It's been a year's worth of trying to get it on the game.
"I'm more excited about this than I am the album, it's our dream. It's mesmerising.
"Every minute off we get on the road we play FIFA at every opportunity."
As well as Van's persistence, the group - who are also made up of Johnny 'Bondy' Bond, Benji Blakeway and Bob Hall - also have their hardcore fan base to thank for making their dream come true as their supporters set up a Twitter campaign in an attempt to get their song on 'FIFA 15'.
Van added: "I tweeted FIFA messing about saying we love the game, you've got to get us on it.
"I used to say it at gigs and our fans started getting behind it and started getting a hashtag trending.
"FIFA got in touch with the management team and said they'd listened to the band and love us and they were going to put the song on the game."
Catfish and the Bottlemen's new single 'Cocoon' features on the soundtrack of EA SPORTS FIFA 15.
The demo is available to download NOW via XBox Live and PlayStation Network. The band's debut album, 'The Balcony', is available to download from iTunes.

Will Ferrell has confirmed he is to appear in 'Zoolander 2'.
The comedian starred as villain Mugatu in the 2001 hit film and has revealed there will be a read-through of the new script in the near future, JoBlo reports.
He said: "We are actually supposed to do a read-through of a sequel script soon. And Mugatu is a part of it."
Details of the much-anticipated sequel are thin on the ground at present, though it has been speculated that Ben Stiller will replace Justin Theroux as director.
There has also been speculation surrounding who else might appear in the flick, with some reports linking model Cara Delevingne with a role.
Indeed, it's even been suggested that she could play the female lead in the sequel.
A source told The Sun newspaper: "Ben [Stiller] and producers want a big-name model for the film and they need to be jokers and full of natural comedy.
"They've been closely following Cara and her antics during the past couple of years.
"They are still working out what the exact role will be but it's likely to include a lot of goofing around."
Robert Downey Jr, Hugh Jackman and Samuel L Jackson are set for 'Star Wars Episode VII' cameos.
The superstar trio are rumoured to have landed secret roles in the latest installment of the George Lucas-penned franchise after being invited to the set at the Pinewood Studios in Buckinghamshire, along with 'Paul' actor Nick Frost.
It is thought some of the actors will be forced to appear in the Disney movie in secret to avoid breaching their contract with various other studios.
A source told The Sun newspaper: "Everyone is clamouring for a set visit and cameo.
"Sam, Robert and Hugh have all been invited, as well as Nick Frost. Some are hiding their faces just for fun but others have to for contractual reasons.
"If they're tied to other studios, they're technically not allowed to appear in a Disney film."
While, 'Iron Man' star Robert, 49, and 'X-Men' actor Hugh, 45, have never appeared in the series, Samuel, 65, previously starred in the prequel trilogy as jedi master Mace Windu from 1999 to 2005.
The news follows on from reports that James Bond actor Daniel Craig has secured a mystery role in the science fiction saga after begging director JJ Abrams for the small part due to his love for the series.
An insider said: "Daniel asked for some sort of secret cameo role - and was happy to have his name left off the posters.
"Fans will love trying to work out which covered up character is him."
Meanwhile, further rumours of a franchise spin-off starring jedi master Obi-Wan Kenobi - who has been played by Alec Guinnes and Ewan McGreggor - have started to surface.
Fan site Making Star Wars said: "For the spin-off movies they were initially going to stay away from any Jedi or Sith characters.
"But I'm hearing now that because of the popularity of Obi-Wan that an art team is now working with a writer on concepts for an Obi-Wan movie."
Prince Harry says he and the Queen were both deeply moved by the Invictus Games.

Paris Hilton is looking for a New York home.
The Los Angeles-based socialite was shown round a number of penthouse apartments just a few hours after arriving into the city on Friday (12.09.14) as she is keen to spend more time in the Big Apple to be closer to her siblings Barron and Nicky.
A source close to Paris - who flew into New York for the launch of her sister's book '365 Style' - told the New York Post newspaper's Page Six column: "Paris [is] looking at penthouse apartments downtown so she can be closer to her sister Nicky, who lives in New York, and her brother Barron, who also lives here."
The 33-year-old beauty hopes being in New York will enable her to do more in helping her younger sister plan her wedding to James Rothschild.
The source said: "Nicky is getting married soon, and so Paris really wants to be able to help her sister and be involved in the wedding plans. She also loves New York, having grown up in the city."
And Paris is unlikely to spare any expense in looking for her dream home as it was recently revealed she earns a staggering $347,000 an hour from her DJ gigs.
A source recently revealed of her four-day residency at Ibiza club Amnesia: "She's making $2.7 million from the four nights -- $347,000 an hour.
"The crowds do seem to enjoy it, but most are too off their faces to care that she's simply pressed Play on a Beyoncé megamix."
