Justin Bieber "might need surgery" after bursting his eardrum.
The 20-year-old pop star may require an operation to repair the perforated tissue in his ear after he damage it by leaping off a cliff, which is known as 'tombstoning.'
Taking to his Twitter account last night, he tweeted: "Busted my ear drum cliff diving. Doc says might need surgery now. Sucks. (sic)."
However, the 'Baby' hitmaker, who has recently rekindled his romance with on/off girlfriend Selena Gomez, believes the painful injury may delay the release of his upcoming music but he's adamant it won't cause any long-term issues with his career.
He reassured fans an hour later: "My ear drum might back us up a little but I'm still bringing you this new music. Much love. Damn u cliff diving! (sic)."
Meanwhile, it appears the singer is keen to turn over a new leaf following a number of run ins with the law over the past year, and has even given up alcohol and ditched junk food in the hope of boosting his career.
A source said previously: "Justin has been boasting to his friends about his new healthy lifestyle.
"He no longer drinks and has stopped eating junk food, too. He's had a difficult few months and is hoping that this will give him a fresh start."

Victoria Beckham's children didn't think she had a "proper job."
The designer admits Brooklyn, 15, Romeo, 12, Cruz, nine, and Harper, three, with whom she has with husband David Beckham, didn't know her occupation until they attended one of her fashion shows.
Speaking to the London Evening Standard newspaper, she said: "It wasn't until they came to the show a few seasons ago that I think they realised that mummy actually had a proper job.
"They see David on the football pitch whereas I go off to work and they don't really see what I do."
The former Spice Girls singer, 40, and her family moved back to London from Los Angeles earlier this year following David's retirement from soccer last May and she insists she's got no plans to leave the UK any time soon.
She explained: "I'm proud to be British. I was brought up here, my family is here, my friends are here, my kids go to fantastic schools here..."
Meanwhile, the brunette beauty, who is preparing to open her first standalone store in London later this week, isn't planning on having another baby as she's too busy running her business and raising her kids.
Asked what is next for her, she said previously: "Well the next thing someone would normally ask is am I pregnant? I seem to be asked that regularly, but no, I'm not having another baby - there's enough going on."

Katie Price named her daughter Bunny because she's "soft, cute, cuddly, unique" and "fun".
The 36-year-old star last week announced that she had finally chosen a name for her and husband Kieran Hayler's second child almost six weeks after giving birth to her daughter and she's now revealed the reasoning behind her choice.
Writing in her Now magazine column, she said: "Soft, cute, cuddly, unique but most of all fun. Some might say these words describe me but my new baby girl is all of these and reminds me of a Bunny!
"Kieran and I chose Bunny and Jett's names together; just like Pete [Peter Andre] and I chose Junior and Princess' names together; while Harvey is named after my granddad."
Katie - who had 12-year-old son Harvey with retired soccer player Dwight Yorke - went on to insist that the name is a traditional one, despite some people's criticisms, and is adamant she isn't bothered by what other people may think of her choice of moniker.
She added: "Bunny is an old-fashioned name and I love it. Some may ridicule our choice and some will love it - I really don't care to be honest."

Kendall Jenner drinks 12 cups of detox tea every day.
The 18-year-old model admits she is a huge fan of hot cups of lemongrass and green tea flavoured Kusmi Detox Tea and credits it for helping her to stay slim.
The 'Keeping Up with the Kardashians' star told E! News: "I usually start my day off with a cup of detox tea. I have like 12 cups a day."
The brunette beauty, who is currently working at Paris Fashion Week, also snacks on apples and sticks to a clean diet of lean protein, fruit and vegetables to make sure she has enough energy on the catwalk.
Kendall also enjoys working out, but rarely has time at the moment.
She said: "I like running. I've been trying to get back into it."
But her top beauty tip is to get enough sleep.
She said: "My beauty secret for fashion week is just getting a good amount of sleep. I feel like I at least need about seven hours, eight hours of sleep to function."

Cillian Murphy thinks his low-key approach to life makes it easier to appear convincing on screen.
The 38-year-old is notoriously camera shy - preferring to live a quiet life with his wife Yvonne McGuinness and their two sons, Malachy and Aran Murphy, in north London - and he says being so reserved about his life away from the silver screen is beneficial for his career.
'The Dark Knight Rises' star explained to the Guardian newspaper: "Logically, the less people know about you, the more convincing you are playing someone else. It's glaringly obvious to me.
"I get the bus, I get the tube, I go to the shop and get the milk and do normal things. I would hate it if that became impossible.
"As an actor, you're supposed to be playing real people so it seems essential to live like a normal person."
Cillian attributed his career success to good script writing, saying: "The only thing I've tried to stick to, and I've repeated it ad nauseum, is to follow the good writing.
"I don't want to go to America and up sticks to wherever a shoot may be for 12 months. I've got young kids, you don't really want to uproot the family for a year."

James Arthur underwent laser eye surgery last week.
The 'X Factor' winner decided to have the procedure to correct his vision after wearing glasses and contact lenses for much of his life.
The 26-year-old star admitted it took him "longer than normal" to recover, but claims he can now see perfectly.
He wrote on Twitter: "So I had laser eye surgery last week!"
He added: "Because I had a large prescription it's taken longer than normal to recover but I'm now seeing 20/20!"
James shocked fans on the ITV reality series in 2012 when he was given a makeover on the show and ditched his signature black rectangle spectacles in favour of contacts.
He admitted at the time: "I only wore the glasses because I didn't have any contact lenses. And I just wore NHS glasses, it wasn't a style thing. That was me not being vain, wearing the most ridiculous pair of glasses I could find. "

Sarah Hyland's ex-boyfriend reportedly checked into rehab following their split.
The 'Modern Family' star, who secured a temporary restraining order against Matthew Prokop this week after claiming he has been harassing her and abused her before their split after five years together last month, has revealed he sought treatment at an undisclosed facility after moving out of their Los Angeles home in mid-August.
The 23-year-old beauty stated in court documents, obtained by PEOPLE.com, that she was advised to obtain the protection order by the director of the rehab facility before the 24-year-old actor was discharged on Sunday (21.09.14), who warned her about Matthew's "mental state and attitude."
The Emmy Award winner invited her co-star Julie Bowen, who plays her mother on the comedy series, to their home to stage an intervention to help her break-up with Matthew last month.
She also claims a mutual friend told her Matthew once said: "I deserve to die."

Ryan Gosling and Eva Mendes have reportedly hired a full-time baby nurse.
The couple, who welcomed their first child into the world earlier this month, are sparing no expense when it comes to perfecting their parenting skills because the 'Drive' actor is still "a little nervous" around their baby girl.
A source told Us Weekly magazine: "[The nurse is] helping out around the clock."
Meanwhile, the 33-year-old actor hasn't left his 40-year-old girlfriend's side since she gave birth and has barely stepped outside of their home in Los Feliz, Los Angeles.
The insider said: "Ryan hasn't left Eva's side."
But the actor has already formed a close bond with their tot.
The source added: "Ryan is thrilled it's a little girl."
Ryan once vowed to scale back his workload when he had a family and a source also previously said he had no desire to work during Eva's pregnancy.
The insider said: "His family is now his number one priority. He's accomplished everything work-wise that he had hoped and this is the next step in his life."
The couple started dating in 2011 after meeting on the set of their movie, 'The Place Beyond The Pines.'

Nick Cannon insists he had nothing to do with Amber Rose's split from Wiz Khalifa.
The 'America's Got Talent' host, who recently announced that he and wife Mariah Carey are living separately, reportedly told friends that rumours he is romancing the 30-year-old model, whom he recently signed to his management company, NCredible Entertainment, are false and they are merely colleagues.
A source close to the 33-year-old star told gossip website TMZ.com that his relationship with the blonde beauty, who has 19-month-old son Sebastian with Wiz, is strictly professional.
The comedian, who has three-year-old twins Moroccan and Monroe with Mariah, 44, claims he only learned that Amber was having marriage troubles last week through her lawyers when he signed her on as a client.

Jason Orange has announced he has quit Take That.
The 44-year-old singer has revealed that he informed his bandmates - Gary Barlow, Howard Donald and Mark Owen - of his decision last week and they are now planning to continue as a trio.
In a lengthy statement on the group's official website tonight (24.09.14), Jason said: "I want to start by saying how proud I am of what we have achieved together over the years.
"However, at a band meeting last week I confirmed to Mark, Gary and Howard that I do not wish to commit to recording and promoting a new album."
He added: "At the end of The Progress Tour I began to question whether it might be the right time for me to not continue on with Take That.
"At the start of this year and with my full knowledge and blessing the guys began writing new material.
"There have been no fallings out, only a decision on my part that I no longer wish to do this."
The 'Patience' hitmaker added: "I know how much Mark, Gary and Howard enjoy writing and making music, and they know that they have my full support and encouragement to continue on with what is to be another chapter for the band. Thank you."
The remaining members admitted they are devastated by Jason's departure.
In a joint statement, Howard, Gary and Mark said: "This is a sad day for us. Jason leaving is a huge loss both professionally and even more so personally. We first became aware of Jason's reservations a couple of years ago but had hoped that by giving him the desired time and space he may begin to feel differently.
"This has not been the case and we now have to accept and fully respect his decision which we know hasn't been an easy one. Jason's energy and belief in what this band could achieve has made it what it is today, and we'll forever be grateful for his enthusiasm, dedication and inspiration over the years."

Meg Ryan's ex-boyfriend still thinks she's "an angel."
The 'You've Got Mail' actress, who was previously married to Dennis Quaid and dated Russell Crowe, split from John Mellencamp in July after three years of dating, but he admits long periods apart was the main reason for their break-up and hasn't ruled out a reconciliation.
The 62-year-old rocker told Howard Stern on his Sirius XM radio show: "Meg is an angel. She was just an angel sent to me at the right time.
"We tried to have a relationship for three years--long distance. We'll see what happens."
Meg, 52, lives in Manhattan, New York with her adopted daughter Daisy, nine, while John lives in Bloomington, Indiana.
A source previously told PEOPLE magazine that the former couple "had distance problems during the entire relationship and tried to make it work, but it wasn't meant to be."
Another source recently said: "Meg enjoyed going to Bloomington with John to visit, but she isn't going to pull up stakes from Manhattan, it's where she made her life with her daughter.
"His heart is still in his native Indiana. He made a vow as a young man that he would never abandon it again after leaving twice before."

Mike 'The Situation' Sorrentino has pleaded not guilty to tax evasion.
The former 'Jersey Shore' star, 32, who has been indicted on two counts of filing false returns and one count of conspiracy, appeared in court in Newark, New Jersey today (24.09.14) alongside his brother Marc Sorrentino, who has also been charged with conspiracy to commit tax fraud, and they both denied doing anything wrong.
The siblings were released on a $250,000 bond and will be arraigned on October 6, according to gossip website TMZ.com.
Prosecutors also told E! News the 32-year-old reality TV star and his brother allegedly conspired to fail to pay federal income tax owed on income that the former MTV star had earned for "promotional activities" between 2010 and 2012, during which time he earned $8.9 million, and said they claimed more than $5,104,000 in "false" or "inflated" business expenses, including luxury cars, high-end clothes and "personal grooming expenses."
Mike has also been accused of failing to file a tax return in 2011 after earning $1.99 million that year.
Speaking before the hearing, U.S. Attorney for New Jersey Paul J. Fishman said: "Michael and Marc Sorrentino filed false tax returns that incorrectly reported millions made from promotions and appearances. The brothers allegedly also claimed costly clothes and cars as business expenses and funneled company money into personal accounts. The law is absolutely clear: telling the truth to the IRS is not optional."
