Jack White has cancelled his tour dates in Mexico after the death of his keyboard player, Isaiah 'Ikey' Owens.
The singer cancelled two Mexican tour dates after announcing the news of the keyboard player's passing via a statement on the official Jack White website.
The statement read: "It is with great sadness that we tell the world of the passing of the incredible musician Isaiah 'Ikey' Owens. He will be missed and loved forever by his family, friends, bandmates and fans.
"Out of respect for Ikey, the remaining shows of the Jack White Tour in Mexico have been cancelled. We will all miss you Ikey. You were and are an incredible artist."
The heartfelt post also praised Ikey for his involvement in Jack's band but also for his other achievements.
The statement shared: "Ikey Owens was an astounding keyboard player in Jack White's backing band. He also played with Mars Volta, Free Moral Agents, and many other projects."
After making the announcement yesterday (14.10.14) Jack cancelled a scheduled gig in Guadalajara which was meant to happen later that evening. They were also due to play Monterrey at the Banamex Auditorium in Mexico on October 15, which has now been cancelled.
Demi Lovato was proposed to by a five-year-old fan.
The 'Really Don't Care' songstress had a romantic request from a very young fan while she was performing in Illinois on Saturday (11.10.14).
Grant, 5, got down on one knee in front of thousands of screaming fans after Demi, 22, noticed his adorable poster during her concert which read, 'I have a ring for you'.
The little boy found his way to the stage after the pop star requested that he made an appearance.
After discovering that he was five, Demi joked: "For a second there I thought you said you were 45, so at least you were of age!"
She then added: "Where's that ring? Because I think since you're up here we should make it official."
After instructing him on how to propose, Grant shouted out: "Demi, will you marry me?"
Demi - who has been dating 34-year-old Wilmer Valderrama since 2010 - hinted that her boyfriend might not be so impressed.
She shared: "I had to tell someone, 'I'm engaged someone beat you to it.'"
On Sunday (12.10.14) she posted on Instagram: "Oh and by the way guys...... I'M ENGAGED!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! thank you to my future husband Grant... #CUTESTEVER #demiworldtour (sic)"
Robin Thicke held a "divorce party" after his wife Paula Patton filed for divorce on October 3.
The 'Blurred Lines' singer reportedly held a party on Friday (10.10.14) to celebrate his newly single status after spending months trying to work things out with his former love.
According to Page Six, Robin held the divorce party at a night club in Los Angeles before moving on to his home in the Hollywood Hills where he was joined by Leonardo DiCaprio and lots of attractive models.
A source shared: "There were a lot of models there. Leo and Robin were being super flirtatious and talking to tons of girls.
"Robin was dancing and talking to a pretty brunette throughout most of the night. At one point, he grabbed a girl's hand and was like, 'Let's dance.'"
Paula and Robin have been separated since February, ending their nine-year marriage and 21-year relationship. They have a four-year-old son, Julian together.
After citing "irreconcilable difference" in the divorce papers on October 3, the 'Mirrors' actress is also asking for joint custody.
Shortly after they split, Robin dedicated his seventh studio album, 'Paula' to his estranged wife in a failed bid to get her back.
Una Foden is craving pickles.
The Saturdays singer is expecting her second child - a boy - with husband Ben Foden and says her food preferences are very different to when she was carrying daughter Aoife, now two.
She said: "Ben had fish and chips for lunch today and my sense of smell is so heightened I knew as soon as I got near him.
"With Aoife, I was mad for chocolate, but this time around I'm more for savoury stuff and spicy foods. And pickles. I'm loving pickles."
The couple have already started discussing names for their new arrival, but Una has been vetoing most of her spouse's suggestions.
Ben said: "Una actually said I could choose the name but she keeps shooting down all my suggestions."
Una interrupted: "Well, are you surprised when you're coming up with names like Huckleberry? I mean, come on, Huck Foden?"
The couple want to keep their name choice a secret until the baby is born - but Aoife may not make that so easy.
Una added to HELLO! magazine: "The other day someone asked Aoife if she was excited about the baby and she pointed to my tummy and blurted out this name we've been considering.
"We're keeping it quiet because you become a little bit precious when you find a name you both like in case people put you off it or you change your minds."
Harry Styles met his new girlfriend through an ex-lover.
The One Direction hunk is said to be "having fun" with writer-and-actress Erin Foster - who has previously been romantically linked with Ryan Gosling and Samantha Ronson - in recent weeks but he first got to know her through Kimberly Stewart, who he briefly dated last year.
A source told Grazia magazine: "Erin and Harry met through Kimberly Stewart over a year ago and stayed in touch.
"Erin's dad David is a top music producer and a good friend of Kimberly's dad Ro.
"When Harry was seeing Kimberly briefly last year, he stayed at the Stewarts' mansion and saw David a lot.
"He first met Erin at Penny Lancaster's birthday last year and they've been hanging out in LA. After visiting the pumpkin patch, they went for dinner. It's nothing serious, but they're both having fun."
Harry - who has previously dated Caroline Flack, Taylor Swift and Kendall Jenner - was recently romantically linked with Katy Perry after they enjoyed an intimate dinner.
A source said: "They like each other. Katy and DJ Diplo are casually dating, but she's developed a huge crush on Harry, which she calls unexpected.
"He looks up to Katy and loves that she isn't your typical needy twenty-something."
Naomi Watts felt like Bill Murray's agent after he gave her his phone number.
The 'St. Vincent' actress claims filmmakers and producers started reaching out to her in a bid to get in touch with her extremely private co-star, who only gives a select number of people his contact details and doesn't have an agent or a manager.
The 46-year-old star told Variety magazine: "People have cast me as the person to get to him. Three people have called and asked, 'Do you think you can get a script to Bill?' I'm like, 'Do I look like an agent? No thank you!' "
Bill admits he doesn't like Twitter and email, and only has an old Blackberry so he can communicate with his six sons via text message.
The 64-year-old actor took a break from acting after 'Ghostbusters' became a global hit in the 1980s because he didn't want to be famous.
He said: "I sort of removed myself from the movie-star track. I just saw how much it was going to take to do that. I didn't want that."
Bill only enrolled in a sketch comedy group after dropping out of college.
He said: "I wanted to be a baseball player. I'm normal. And then I wanted to be a doctor, because I thought I was smart. It turns out there's a lot of studying involved with pre-med. I wanted it to be easier than that."
But the 'Monuments Men' actor says there are some perks to being famous.
He said: "Being famous is like -- what the hell. You can get into a restaurant that's closing. Sometimes you get out of a traffic ticket. It's kind of like everyone else's life."
Jessie J took John Newman for a special birthday dinner to thank him for writing for her album.
The 26-year-old singer was thrilled when John gave her the track 'Fire' for her new LP 'Sweet Talker' - which was released this week - and although she didn't get a chance to work with him in the studio she did treat him to a delicious meal to show her gratitude.
Speaking to BANG Showbiz, she said: "Unfortunately with John I didn't get to go into the studio with him but I took him out for dinner on his birthday and that was my thank you. I know that he heard the song and came back and forth with things that he felt could be changed, but no, we didn't actually work together, he just sent it over."
The pop pair were prevented from working with each other in person by Jessie's decision to re-locate to Los Angeles to record the album.
She knew the process was going well because the entire record only took five weeks to make and each track sounded like it's "own film".
She explained: "I did everything in LA. I only recorded this album in five weeks, old school! We recorded 20 songs and I used 16. And there are probably three of the songs that weren't used that will be on the next record. I wanted every track to be its own film. I think so many people now worry about everything being very similar like, 'I'm going to do 12 songs like 'Domino' but I would be so bored. And there are definitely going to be songs that are for some people and not for others, you know? My mum has her favourite and my nephew has his and my best friend has hers and everybody's favourite is different and that's what I want ... I wanted each song to be its own personality and a little bit of me, you know? Not every day am I 'Bang Bang' and not everyday am I 'Personal' but those moments exist in my life."
Kristen Stewart says her childhood dream was "shattered" when she was 11.
The 'Camp X-Ray' star claims she always wanted to work behind the scenes in Hollywood like her parents, who were "hardworking crew members," and she only decided to start auditioning for acting roles as she was "too small" to do anything else.
In 'The Art of Discovery,' a book of celebrity portraits by photographer Jeff Vespa benefiting the Creative Coalition, the 24-year-old actress said: "I wanted to come home with hundreds of stories and plates of food nicked from craft services, looking like I had just been through absolute hell.
"I thought what they [my parents] did for a living was awesome."
The brunette beauty quickly realised she was "too small to be a grip like my brothers were, so, I figured I'd act."
She added: "It was my only option. The problem was getting a job. I was eight years old, and wasn't very actor-y."
Kristen landed her first big role in 'The Safety of Objects' in 2001 after a year of auditioning, but while her original dream was "shattered," she admits she is now living "beyond my wildest dreams."
She said: "I thought, 'Wow this isn't just a cool job like my parents have, this is who I am. That was the day my dream of being a grip or a script supervisor shattered, and my life opened beyond my wildest dreams."
Amy Poehler doesn't think her marriage to ex-husband Will Arnett was a failure.
The 'Parks & Recreation' star split from the 'Arrested Development' actor, with whom she has two sons, Archie, six, and Abel, four, in September 2013 after nine years of marriage, but is "proud" of how they've managed to put their differences aside to successfully co-parent their children.
In her new autobiography, 'Yes Please,' the 43-year-old actress writes: "Imagine spreading everything you care about on a blanket and then tossing the whole thing up in the air.
"The process of divorce is about loading up that blanket, throwing it up, watching it all spin, and worrying what stuff will break when it lands.
"Getting a divorce really sucks."
The former 'Saturday Night Live' star, who is now in a relationship with comedian Nick Kroll, 36, admits it is still "too sad" and "too personal" for her to share the reasons behind her divorce, but credits her close friend Louis CK for helping her to through it.
She added: "I am proud of how my ex-husband, Will, and I have been taking care of our children. I am beyond grateful he is their father; and I don't think a ten-year marriage constitutes failure."
Benedict Cumberbatch thinks homophobia is "terrifying."
The British actor, who plays mathematician Alan Turing, who broke the Enigma code used by the Nazis during World War II and was later prosecuted for being gay, in his new movie, 'The Imitation Game,' says he would fight anti-gay extremists "to the death."
The 38-year-old star told the November issue of Out magazine: "People are being beheaded in countries right now because of their beliefs or sexual orientations. It's terrifying. It's medieval - a beheading!"
He added: "I'd take up arms against someone who was telling me I had to believe in what they believed or they would kill me. I would fight them. I would fight them to the death. And, I believe, the older you get, you have to have an idea of what's right or wrong. You can't have unilateral tolerance. You have to have a point where you go, 'Well, religious fundamentalism is wrong.' "
Benedict admits he knows lots of actors who are still scared to open up about their sexuality.
He said: "I think if you're going to sell yourself as a leading man in Hollywood to say 'I'm gay,' sadly, is still a huge obstacle. We all know actors who are [gay] who don't want to talk about it or bring it up, or who deny it. I don't really know what they do to deal with it."
He added: "Human rights movements and sexual and gay rights movements have made huge social progress in the last 40 years, without a doubt, but there's a lot more work to be done. I think it's extraordinary that every time we get to a point where there's any kind of trouble in society, people are scapegoated very, very, very quickly."
Uma Thurman's ex-fiancé is suing her for custody of their daughter.
French financier Arpad Busson, who split from the 44-year-old 'Jump!' actress in April, filed an emergency court order in Manhattan Supreme Court in New York City on Tuesday (14.10.14), seeking custody of their only child, Luna, two.
It is not yet known what caused the dispute between the former couple as the court documents were immediately sealed, according to the New York Post's Page Six.
The 'Kill Bill' star's attorney, James Adams, did not immediately return a request for comment.
The blonde beauty got engaged to Arpad, who also has two sons, Flynn, 16, and Cy, 11, with supermodel Elle Macpherson, for the second time in 2011 after calling off their first engagement in 2009, but they ended their relationship for good earlier this year.
Uma, who also has daughter Maya, 16, and son Levon, 12, with ex-husband Ethan Hawke, has since been linked to director Quentin Tarantino.
Earlier this year, the actress claimed she was happier than she had been in a long time.
She said: "I'm happier now than I've been in many, many years. I'm trying to live as peaceful a personal life as possible. I guess I'm less jaded now than I've ever been, definitely less than when I was younger."
Kelly Osbourne "might be" dating Didier Cohen.
The 29-year-old star, who ended her engagement to vegan chef Matthew Mosshart in January, poked fun at rumours she is in a new relationship with the 'Australia's Next Top Model' judge, but later admitted they could be true.
The 'Fashion Police' co-host - who flew to Sydney to be a guest judge on the reality TV show - initially played coy when asked if she is dating the US-born model, 29, on the 'Kyle and Jackie O Show.'
Didier then joined the interview and admitted: "We've known each other for a bit and we really enjoy ourselves with each other...and it bloomed a little bit."
Shortly afterwards he claimed he was only joking.
But Kelly added: "Well, you never know, we might be!"
The British star was most recently linked to model Ricki Hall and they were spotted attending her father Ozzy Osbourne's gig in London in July.
An insider previously revealed Kelly had a huge crush on Ricki, saying: "They recently started following each other on Instagram. He's got a huge beard, which Kelly finds really sexy, she loves guys with beards! She's definitely interested in seeing where it goes with him."
The purple-haired star was also linked to Puff Daddy's stepson Quincy Combs earlier this year, but a friend said their romance was casual, explaining: "Kelly is single, but she's having a lot of fun. She's been hooking up with Quincy, her really good friend lately. It's not serious but he's really hot and he's very into her!"
