Prince William’s ‘silver lining’ after Diana’s death

Britain's Prince William says starting his own family has been a "silver lining" following his mother's death.
The 32-year-old royal has revealed getting married to Duchess Catherine and welcoming his first child, Prince George, last year has helped him move on with his life after the tragic death of Princess Diana in a car accident in Paris, France, in 1997.
William made the comments during the launch of the Queen's Young Leaders awards scheme as he met with two survivors of the 2004 Boxing Day tsunami, who lost their parents in the natural disaster.
William expressed his sympathy to the brothers and declared young people who lose their parents simply must "dust yourself off and carry on".
Paul and Rob Forkan were invited to the launch event due to their humanitarian efforts following their parents' death. The pair set up a flip-flop brand Gandy's, with all profits going towards building orphanages in developing countries.
Rob, 26, told the Daily Telegraph newspaper: "He said he lost his mum at 15 but there was always a silver lining and you should dust yourself off and carry on.
"He applauded what we had done and said keep up the good work. He's got his own family now - that was his silver lining."

Prince Harry declines Peter Andre gig invite

Britain's Prince Harry has declined an offer to see Peter Andre in concert.
Comic David Walliams invited the 29-year-old royal to see the 'Mysterious Girl' crooner perform at Royal Albert Hall in London after spotting a flyer for the concert during the Responsible Business Awards - held at the same venue - on Tuesday (08.07.14), but the 'Britain's Got Talent' judge has revealed Harry turned down the opportunity.
He told the Daily Telegraph newspaper: "I asked Prince Harry if he wanted to come with me. I said I had front row tickets for every night of the tour, but, very strangely, he declined."
The funnyman hosted the awards ceremony, which was attended by Harry, his brother Prince William and father Prince Charles, and the good-humoured royal enjoyed some banter with David.
The comic was heard telling Harry: "I mean your father has Wales, your brother has Cambridge - not as big, but still quite nice - but you don't have anything. How about Croydon? Prince Harry of Croydon?"
The awards ceremony was organised by Prince Charles' charity, Business in the Community.

Rita Ora to be fifth X Factor judge?

Rita Ora is being considered to join 'The X Factor' as a fifth judge.
The 'I Will Never Let You Down' hitmaker could join Simon Cowell, Cheryl Cole, Mel B and Louis Walsh on the talent show panel as a surprise addition to mentor four wildcard acts.
Rita, 23, is a strong contender to land the role, but bosses are also said to be considering US singer Mary J. Blige, 43, according to The Sun newspaper.
A fifth judge would mean there is always a unanimous decision in the live shows, putting an end to the deadlock feature.
An 'X Factor' spokesperson said: "No decisions have been made regarding the live shows at this stage."
Auditions for the new series of the singing competition are already under way and show boss Simon is keen to restore the show to its former glory following a ratings decline since he left in 2010.
Former judge Sharon Osbourne recently criticised the show and urged serious musicians not to audition for it if they want credibility in the music industry.
She said: "Always my mentality when I was on 'X Factor' was, if you were a singer-songwriter you have a definition of who you are, writing songs you love and that suit your voice and who you are.
"For me, if you were a singer-songwriter, do not go on a talent show. It's not going to work. Could you imagine them doing ABBA week, or '80s week? It's just not for you - because you know who you are.
"Talent shows are fantastic and they change people's lives. But they are not for people who are singer-songwriters. It's not the thing to do."

James Jordan: Strictly will ‘stitch up’ wife Ola

James Jordan has warned his wife Ola that 'Strictly Come Dancing' will "stitch her up".
The 36-year-old dancer left the series after eight years over a dispute with producers - who offered him a reduced role going forward - and he worries his spouse may get similar treatment.
He told her: "I reckon the BBC will stitch you up this year. That will definitely happen."
James left 'Strictly' on shaky terms in May when he turned down the BBC's offer to only appear on special episodes, such as Christmas and charity instalments, but not the main series.
He has now vowed to avoid the show when it returns later this year and will watch rival show 'The X Factor' instead.
He told the Daily Mirror newspaper: "I'm going to sit at home, crack open a beer with my mates and watch 'X Factor'."
James - whose wife has already signed up for the new series - also expressed concerns over the new presenting duo of Tess Daly and Claudia Winkleman and thinks a male presenter should have been hired to replace Sir Bruce Forsyth.
He added: "I think Claudia and Tess individually are fantastic people. Do I think it's going to work for Strictly? I don't know.
"I'm a firm believer that ballroom and Latin dancing is about a man dancing with a woman and I thought it was nice to have a man presenting as well."

EastEnders’ Sharon to plot revenge on Phil

EastEnders' Sharon Rickman will plot Phil Mitchell's downfall as she discovers the truth behind her attack.
The bar owner - played by Letitia Dean - is stunned to learn her fiancé is the reason she was left fighting for her life recently and vows revenge on him as her mental state becomes increasingly fragile.
Phil (Steve McFadden) ordered a pair of thugs to smash up Sharon's bar, The Albert, in a bid to urge her to hire security guards but things took a dramatic turn when Sharon attempted to stop them and was beaten up for her efforts.
A source told the Daily Star newspaper: "Sharon decides she's going to rinse Phil for everything he's got. She's still plotting right up until their wedding day, but will she go through with it or will she come clean?"
Viewers will see Sharon become increasingly on edge in upcoming weeks and she eventually loses the plot when she sees her son, Dennis, near a gun she has been hiding.
Letitia previously said of the attack: "It was shocking, very quick and violent. When you are caught like that and seriously hurt, I think it would take a long time to recover.
"Emotionally, she would find it hard to trust people again."

Ant and Dec to star in sitcom?

Ant and Dec are planning their own sitcom.
The 'Saturday Night Takeaway' presenters are plotting a return to acting and admit they have talked at length about starring in a TV comedy.
Ant McPartlin told Digital Spy: "We've talked about it. We'd love to do a sitcom. Or some kind of comedy drama. There's no rush to do it, but there's still a desire."
The duo shot to fame as young actors on children's drama 'Byker Grove' over 20 years ago but have since become one of Britain's most popular presenting duos, fronting shows such as 'SM:TV Live', 'I'm a Celebrity... Get Me Out of Here!' and 'Britain's Got Talent'.
Declan Donnelly has revealed their busy schedules have made it difficult to make an acting comeback.
He explained: "We've talked about this for a while now. It's something that we definitely will do at some stage, but we're not sure when.
"We're so busy at the moment with the three shows, 'I'm a Celeb', 'BGT' and 'Takeaway'. With our 'Saturday Night Takeaway' tour coming up as well, there's been no way we could fit it in.
"But if things slow down a bit in the next few years and we wouldn't tour again next year, it may happen then."
Ant and Dec's last major acting role was the 2006 movie 'Alien Autopsy'.

Kate Humble questions happiness of reality TV stars

Kate Humble thinks reality TV stars are "sad".
The wildlife television presenter has been asked to appear on numerous reality shows, including 'I'm A Celebrity... Get Me Out of Here!' several times, but has, and always will, say no because she hates the genre.
Kate exclusively told BANG Showbiz: "I'm not a celebrity and I don't want to get out of here. I'm not interested in being on television so that people can walk down the street and go, 'Oh, that's the girl from 'I'm A Celebrity...'. I find it very sad that there are people that feel they are earning their place in the world for doing something very shocking that will make all the headlines. What do they think it's going to give them? Are they really happy?"
Kate - who has been living in Mongolia for hew new series 'Living with Nomads' - insists fame is just a by-product of her making programmes she feels passionate about and it is something she'll never embrace or pursue.
The 45-year-old star - who is leading the 2014 Barefoot Wine Beach Rescue Project (Barefootwine.co.uk), a campaign to keep Britain's beaches barefoot-friendly this summer - explained: "I don't go to parties with my t**s hanging out, chasing after footballers in an inappropriate dress. There are so many other things that will make you happier than appearing on the front of a magazine, which is going to end up wrapped around someone's fish and chips."
As well as working on 'Living with Nomads', Kate is writing a book about humans' special bond with dogs and she admits she loves the diversity her career affords her.
Kate - who is married to television producer Ludo Graham - said: "I'm writing a book about the 30,000-year relationship between humans and dogs. I find it amazing that dogs have become so adaptable and such a big part of our lives. I'm writing the book now and it will be out in 2016."

Michael Jackson documentary in fresh legal row

The makers of a Michael Jackson documentary are seeking an injunction against the late star's estate.
Noval Williams Films have filed documents in Manhattan Supreme Court after the estate tried to block the sale and release of 'Michael Jackson: The Last Photo Shoot' with a cease-and-desist order over the use of footage in the film.
The estate had claimed the company do not have rights to use behind-the-scenes photos and videos of Jackson's 2007 cover shoots for Ebony and L'Uomo Vogue, but Noval Williams insisted in a previous lawsuit they do own the rights and the legal motion against them has impeded the sale of the documentary.
A new injunction would require the estate to respond within 21 days to help speed up the process.
A lawyer acting for the estate insists "private moments" of the 'Thriller' singer - who died of acute Propofol intoxication in June 2009 - are being exploited in the documentary.
Lawyer Howard Weitzman said: "The makers of the documentary are attempting to exploit footage and photographs of [Michael], which we believe are owned by his estate. The documentary contains . . . private moments that he never agreed could be publicly and commercially exploited without his consent and/or involvement."
It is believed the Jackson family were offered the chance to purchase the rights to the video but passed up the opportunity before the director decided to buy the footage in May last year.

Courtney Love is sex obsessed

Courtney Love couldn't live without sex.
The Hole rocker - who has 21-year-old daughter Frances with late husband Kurt Cobain - enjoys getting intimate with other people and says lovemaking is top of her list of obsessions.
In a piece for XOJane entitled '50 Obsessions I Couldn't Live Without on my 50th Birthday', she wrote: "Let's start with my favourite. And that would be: Sex. Obviously."
The 'Doll Parts' hitmaker - who was recently pictured locking lips with model Amber Rose - also admitted she is a big fan of kissing.
At number 27 on her list, she wrote: "Epic kisses. Girls count!"
Courtney has famously feuded with a number of stars in the past, including Kurt's former Nirvana bandmates - who she made peace with at the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame induction ceremony in May - and Marilyn Manson, but she insists she no longer bares grudges.
Writing that "forgiveness" is another obsession, she added: "I'm 50, and I don't care what you said two years ago or yesterday. It's all good."
However, the outspoken blonde suggested people should still think twice about upsetting her.
She also wrote on the list: "Keeping people scared. Hell hath no fury like me!"
Other obsessions Courtney admitted to were "naughty words", "real estate shopping", "chanting", "acupuncture", and her artist daughter.
Of Frances she wrote: "My proudest accomplishment always makes me prouder. Her artwork is phenomenal, too."

Paris Hilton quits junk food

Paris Hilton has given up junk food.
The 'Come Alive' singer has loved greasy burgers and fries since she was a child but has lost weight and feels much better about herself since changing her eating habits.
She told MailOnline: "I lost about five pounds just from staying away from the Drive-Thrus. I can feel the difference especially when I'm in a bathing suit.
"I used to eat that way, but I decided to change things this year. Now I don't do that. There are times when I will stop at a Carl's Jr, but I will maybe get a turkey burger or something healthier instead of a cheeseburger and fries. I am more careful now."
Instead, the 33-year-old socialite - who is dating 22-year-old model River Viperii - favours healthy juices, fruits and salads.
She added: "I like green smoothies, they taste good and they make me feel more energetic.
"I also like regular juices. I get a lot more vitamins these days, more fruits too, more vegetables, more protein, more salads."
While she has been taking more care of herself, Paris insists she will never be found in a gym as she prefers to stay active with more "tomboy" pursuits.
She said: "I have never been a gym person, it's not me.
"I don't think people expect to hear this, but I grew up a tomboy. I would always play ice hockey, go skiing when I could. I would surf, ride bikes, swim. I love to work out outside. I have always been very active."

She told 'Access Hollywood': "It was really magical because it was small and intimate.

"It was everything I wanted it to be and I have no regrets about any of it. It was just perfect."
At the nuptials, he 57-year-old presenter wore a Carmen Marc Valvo ivory crystal beaded and embroidered Chantilly lace gown with a halter neck, and John's nieces and nephews were ring bearers and flower girls.
The couple's garden was decked out especially for the celebration, with centerpieces including garden roses, dahlias, hydrangeas and peonies, while guests were entertained by music from Hank Lane and tucked into a delicious strawberry lemon cake after their meal.
The couple got engaged last September after two years of dating.
Katie was previously married to Jay Monahan - the father of her daughters - but she was widowed when he tragically died from colon cancer in 1998 at the age of 42.

Sharon Stone ‘available for dating’

Sharon Stone is "available for dating" again.
The 'Basic Instinct' actress admitted she was more focused on her children - Roan, 13, Laird, eight, and seven-year-old Quinn - "when they were little" but now they're a bit older she is "comfortable" with trying to find a new relationship.
She told Extra's Mario Lopez: "What's happened is my kids have reached the age where I feel comfortable to date.
"I didn't want to date when they were little. Who needs a bunch of people running in and out of their lives?
"Now I feel comfortable dating ... I am available for dating."
The star - who was previously married to Michael Greenberg and Phil Bronstein - has been recently linked to her old friend Antonio Banderas, who split from his wife Melanie in May.
A source previously said: "Antonio and Sharon have been great friends for years.
"They have always flirted outrageously and now they're closer than ever.
"It's all very relaxed at the moment and they want to keep it quiet out of respect for Melanie, but there's no denying the spark is there."
However, the speculation was later quashed.
