Jennifer Lawrence is growing close to her ex-boyfriend, Nicholas Hoult.
The 'American Hustle' actress broke up with the 24-year-old star over the summer, but following a short-lived romance with Coldplay frontman Chris Martin, 37, the star has got back in touch with her former flame.
A source revealed: "He still adores Jennifer and so do his family.
"He's been calling her and they've been speaking regularly on Skype."
Jennifer was in the UK earlier this week to promote 'The Hunger Games: Mockingjay - Part 1', and is rumoured to have spent her free time visiting the 'X-Men' star's parents at their family home in Berkshire, south east England, who are keen for the couple to reunite.
The source added to the Daily Star newspaper: "Their relationship is getting closer and his family would love for them to get back together."
Last month, it was reported the actor - who shot to fame as a child star in 'About A Boy' - had been cosying up to Robert Pattinson's ex, 'Twilight' actress Kristen Stewart, but it seems romance could be back on the cards for Nicholas and Jennifer with the pair set to appear alongside each other when they begin filming 'X-Men: Apocalypse' next year.
The source said: "They fell in love making 'X-Men' so it has a lot of significance for them.
"Both Jen and Nick are looking forward to spending time together again."
The revelation follows a scary moment for the blonde beauty after an appearance on 'The Late Show with David Letterman' in New York on Wednesday (12.11.14). The star was signing autographs for fans when an eager bunch trampled barriers protecting her. Thankfully, security was on hand to whisk her to safety before any harm could be done.

Justin Bieber has been ordered to appear in an Argentine court.
The 20-year-old pop star is accused of sending bodyguards to attack a photographer outside a nightclub in Buenos Aires, Argentina last year - and has been warned that if he does not return, he could be arrested or extradited.
On Thursday (13.11.14), judge Facundo Cubas asked Interpol to use all "necessary means" to inform the 'Boyfriend' hitmaker that he has 60 days to appear before the court in Argentina, the New York Post newspaper reports.
Justin is accused by Argentine photographer Diego Pesoa of having him chased down and beaten on November 9, 2013, by his bodyguards outside the INK nightclub.
Speaking at the time of the incident, Diego said: "I was waiting for Justin Bieber to leave so I could take a picture of him when a bodyguard tried to take my camera off me.
"He began to run after me and half a block away he punched me in the head before kicking me in the stomach as I was lying on the ground.
"When I tried to get away, I realised that instead of just one there were seven or eight bodyguards behind me.
"I've got cuts all the way up my arm and bruises on my stomach and my head hurts."
If he is found guilty of causing minor injuries, Justin could face up to one year in prison.

Liam Gallagher has been handing out £50 notes to homeless people.
The 42-year-old star is said to have been enjoying a night out with girlfriend Debbie Gwyther, 31, when the couple stopped to have a chat with three homeless men in London's Hampstead at 6am.
A source said: "Liam was in really high spirits and had been out partying all night.
"He gave each of the three homeless men £100 and told them it was his pleasure."
The former Oasis and Beady Eye rocker also promised the men that he would return with some beers and clean clothes, as part of his charitable annual ritual.
The source added to the Daily Star newspaper: "Liam said he always starts to collect a stash of items around Christmas to give to people on the street."
Liam was recently said to be "struggling to secure funds" for a support settlement with Liza Ghorbani - the mother of his 18-month-old child Gemma - because he was having trouble finalising his divorce from Nicole Appleton.
The couple split amid revelations he'd fathered the child with US journalist Liza while married to Nicole.
Meanwhile, Liam's brother and former bandmate Noel Gallagher has branded him "crazy guy" for his lack of organisational skills.
He said previously: "As we know, you can't plan 20 seconds of your life with him as it can go t*ts up at any time ... I have been at gigs and he's said, 'I'm not singing any of that s**t'. And we've been rehearsing for four months. He is a crazy guy."

The 'Big Brother's Bit on the Side' presenter has revealed that he copes with online bulling by laughing.
He joked: "The mute button on Twitter is my new favourite thing.
"When you block people they know you've blocked them and they get off on it, but with mute they don't have a clue you've done it.
"It just makes me laugh. I think, you can sl*g me off all you want but I'll see you on 'Jeremy Kyle' next Tuesday.
"Good luck to you. I'm earning money, I've got a nice house and I've come from nothing and done it - and you're talking about me.

Speaking to the Daily Mirror newspaper, the 26-year-old star - who rose to fame on the ninth series of 'The X Factor' - added that he feels more comfortable as a presenter now that the public have accepted his bright white veneers.
He said: "I'm glad I did my teeth. I had my teeth done the day I started presenting 'Big Brother' and back then, I couldn't present a show for nothing, but everyone was talking about the teeth so no-one thought I was a crap presenter. It was a Brucie bonus!
"Now, a year and a half on, people say, 'Oh, his new teeth look so much better'. Well they're the same set. You've just got used to them and I'm a good presenter now."

Pixie Lott was three hours late for her first date with Oliver Cheshire.
The 23-year-old singer admits she is rarely very punctual and felt it was a good sign the 26-year-old model accepted her flaws from the very early stages of their relationship.
She said: "My worst things are lateness and forgetfulness, but when we went on one of our first dates I was three hours late and he was still there. I thought he wouldn't stay and wait for me but I thought, 'This is good, he knows what I'm like from the start.' "
While Oliver may have been aware of Pixie's poor timekeeping, she admits it is often the source of rows between them.
Asked what they argue about, she told OK! magazine: "Just silly things that turn into a big deal.
"Like, sometimes I think there's more time in the day to do everything, when realistically I can probably only fit in two things rather than see loads of friends. It's my timekeeping!"
Though they are very happy together, the 'Nasty' hitmaker admits neither she nor Oliver are particularly romantic.
She said: "I think we're averagely romantic. The best thing for us is to see each other as much as possible when we're both really busy."

Craig Revel Horwood wants Judy Murray off 'Strictly Come Dancing'.
The outspoken judge has blasted the 55-year-old hopeful for her lack of skills on the dancefloor and claims he and fellow panelists Darcey Bussell, Len Goodman and Bruno Tonioli are hoping her time on the show is cut short this weekend.
He told Now magazine: "We're all hoping that it's going to be Judy who leaves at the weekend.
"It is a dance competition after all and as a judge I have to wave a dance flag."
The 49-year-old judge believes Judy - who is the mother of tennis star Andy Murray - has stayed in the competition so long because of the popularity of her professional partner, Anton du Beke.
He added: "People are voting for Anton as opposed to Judy."
However, he is hopeful she doesn't have long left on the programme despite her popularity so far.
He said: "The audience eventually eliminate all the dead wood, so to speak."
Craig's fellow judge Len recently admitted he felt sorry for Anton because of his celebrity partners.
Speaking about whether he thinks Anton should've taken over as host when Sir Bruce Forsyth stepped down from the role earlier this year, Len said: "I think if they decide to change the format again I think Anton would be great. In the meantime, I just wish he'd get partnered with a hot young dancer.
"I mean, he's had Ann Widdecombe, Nancy Dell'Olio - and now Judy Murray!"

Roger Daltrey believes Oasis will reform.
The Who frontman performed alongside 'Wonderwall' rocker Liam Gallagher on Tuesday (11.11.14) and admitted that he is convinced that the band will get back together at some point in the future.
Talking exclusively to BANG Showbiz, he said: "I've got no doubt Oasis will reform. I've never had any doubts."
The 70-year-old singer - who will embark on a final UK tour with his bandmate Pete Townshend later this month - continued, saying that the 42-year-old musician has nothing else to do apart from get back together with his brother Noel Gallagher, and the other Oasis members.
He said: "I just know groups, in the end they'll start to think, 'why not?' It's what they do! What else is he going to do, become a painter decorator?"
However, Roger shut down suggestions that he would record an album with him, like he did with Dr Feelgood star Wilko Johnson earlier this year.
When asked whether a collaborative record could be on the cards, he replied: "No, no no no. That was a one-off success story."
Liam and Roger both performed at London's O2 Shepherd's Bush Empire on Tuesday (11.11.14) in a concert which celebrated the 50-year career of the 'My Generation' rockers, to raise money for the Teenage Cancer Trust, which Roger is a patron of.
He gushed: "That was a great night. Really, really good fun. It was just wonderful."
Talking at 'The Who in Virtual Reality' event at The Goldhawk Club in Shepherds Bush, London on Wednesday (12.11.14), Daltrey confessed that, despite the band's huge Mod following, he'd never sat on a scooter in his entire life.
As he climbed on to a scooter which was being used to sit for guests to try out the virtual reality headset, he said: "I've never even been on a scooter! One of the things is that everybody thinks Ace Faces used to have just a scooter, all of the serious Ace Faces, all of the good looking ones, they used to have mini-vans. Use your imagination! No really, that's true!"

Kerry Katona has revealed that Atomic Kitten will release a new album in 2015.
The 34-year-old singer has revealed that she and her Atomic Kitten band mates Liz McClarnon, 33, and Natasha Hamilton, 32, are planning to return to the recording studio next year.
Kerry explained: "Atomic Kitten are doing a new album. I'm not sure if I'm allowed to say, but we are.
"There'll be a tour all over the world with just the Kittens and the album should be out next year."
It will be the first record the ladies have recorded since their debut album 'Right Now' in 2000.
Kerry left the girl band in later that year and was replaced by Jenny Frost.
The singer then joked: "Atomic Kitten were big everywhere - after I left the band!"
After she confirmed the news, Kerry told The Sun newspaper: "The new music will be the original signature sound, which is cheesy pop.
"That's what people loved. We can't try and go funky when we're competing with the likes of Rihanna and Beyonce."
Kerry, Liz and Natasha reformed in 2013 when they took part in 'The Big Reunion' on ITV2.

Ricky Hil has vowed to "never work" with Rita Ora after her bad break up with Calvin Harris.
The 24-year-old rapper - who has been dating Rita since July - revealed that while he likes to be involved in certain aspects of his girlfriend's artistry, he won't ever join her in the recording studio because of the way things ended between the 'Black Widow' singer and her ex-boyfriend Calvin.
Ricky explained: "Rita and I listen to each other's music and tell each other what we think, but I'd never work with her.
"I think that always ends relationship. It's the same with designing, you've got to do your own thing and support each other when you can."
Rita, 23, dated the 'We Found Love' DJ for just over a year before they split in June 2014.
Following their split, the 30-year-old DJ banned his former love from performing the track 'I Will Never Let You Down' - which they worked on together - at the 2014 Teen Choice Awards in August.
At the time, he cryptically tweeted: "You'll only know 1 side... but just know I had a damn good reason (sic)"
However, chatting at the Charlotte Simone and Kyle De'volle bag launch at Steam & Rye in London on Tuesday (11.11.14), Ricky - who is the son of the American designer Tommy Hilfiger - revealed that he and his pop star girlfriend are getting along really well, despite the long distance.
He told the Daily Mirror newspaper: "I'm not living in London, but I visit all the time. I love it, especially the weather. It makes me appreciate how lucky we are in LA."

Kim Kardashian West's make-up artist had to spray her bottom with baby oil for her naked photo shoot.
Mario Dedivanovic has admitted that he was the person behind Kim's shiny bottom during her naked photo shoot for Paper magazine.
The 32-year-old make-up artist revealed that the secret to the reality star's slick appearance was down to a generic baby product.
He shared: "I don't have a name for the oil. It's just a baby oil product from Europe. I just sprayed it all over her body from a pump bottle.
"Everyone keeps asking me about it. It's so crazy. It's just a basic baby oil product."
Mario also revealed that the 34-year-old brunette beauty kept her face looking "dewy" after he sprayed "some Evian [water] on her face".
The photos - which were shot by the renowned photographer Jean-Paul Goude - included a full-frontal naked shot of Kim, but Mario has insisted that there were only three people on set during those snaps.
He told New York Daily News: "When they did the nude shots, it was a closed set - just myself, Kim and the photographer. He sketched out what he wanted to do and we did it.
"The shoot was very fun. It's always a great experience when working with such an iconic legendary photographer."
Despite having plenty of experience, Mario - who has worked with Jennifer Lopez, Christina Aguilera and Michelle Williams - explained that his role was relatively simple.
He added: "The make-up [was] very quick. It took about 20 minutes. The hair was more detailed, more artistic. The make-up was very simple."

Lorde is expecting an angry message from Diplo in response to her mocking his manhood.
The 18-year-old singer/songwriter took to Twitter to suggest he was packing an underwhelming package after the DJ posted a link to a fundraising account on the social media site asking for fans to donate money to raise enough funds to boost Taylor's butt.
She said: "I feel like I'm going to get an angry text message now. Basically he had made some sort of joke kick-starter about getting Taylor Swift a booty and I said we should probably look at him getting that sorted out too."
Lorde insists she is apologetic about her tiny todger tweet, and hopes Diplo - who has been romantically linked to Katy Perry - doesn't get too mad.

She revealed: "I'm super into crafts now, which I think she is guilty for! "Stuff like sewing and paper-doll books! When I was on my US tour I was cutting out paper dolls thinking, 'What has come over me?' But she is very inspiring in the way she conducts herself and how she runs her business.
